Pretty cool afternoon - and so many to chat to. Thanks for a real warm, well catered and convivial event. we enjoyed catching up with others and reminding ourselves that there are others out there even though you never see them..... . Congrats to those drawn (all of them).

N!mrod - thank you for your generosity and organising skills - wow: planning & organising an event 1 year out takes a lot of beating!.
Happy Birthday for Wed; we really enjoyed the party and sharing your cake.
Great to see everyone, old and new friends, familiar names but not necessarily familiar faces.

#379 16th cache of 25 for MacPacMum, JustMeG & PurdiePurdie's Ashburton trip. Wow - N!mrod managed to raise the bar for caching events. His birthday and he threw the caching community from Dunedin to Christchurch with even a UK family welcomed in. It was a magnificent spread with an awesome cake.

Thanks so much N!mrod for a fantastic birthday present LOL, seriously a great event and we very much appreciated the effort you went to. Great to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones. Hope you have a great day on Wednesday. Thanks the Joyce Family.

Headed south with La Vista to attend the second event in 2 days. Thanks N!mrod for the wonderful hospitality that set this event apart. Most definately one that will stay in my memory of greats. Followed up with finding your Greatest Hits cahe a challenge even for old hands. Your chocolate birthday cake was an out standing winner also

A wonderful meet thank you N!mrod, and capped of with a birthday and a lovely cake. Great to meet fellow cachers with all those little hints and winks as well. From now on I'll forgive you the D3's .

What can we say! A fantastic event, and unquestionably the best catered event we have ever attended, and a superb looking and tasting birthday cake for N!mrod. It was great to meet both new faces and familiar faces. We even know now to think of N!mrod each year as we celebrate our Wedding anniversary. Many thanks to N!mrod and the hotel staff for a very enjoyable event.

Thank you Nimrod for such an excellent geocaching event, our very first one. Thank you also for the amazing lunch and hope you have a great birthday. It was great to meet so many geocachers and be able to put faces to names. See you in Geraldine some time. Left 4 travel bugs and picked up two travel bugs.

Our first event! What a great idea. Thanks (and Happy Birthday) N!mrod. Good to put faces to names and swap some stories.

Thanks N!mrod for hosting a great event. It ended up useful arriving without as I was able to join with other cachers for a post event cache or two. Which meant a couple of difficult caches were found as a group. Events always are fun and finding caches as a group is great too. Picked up two tbs.

Nice to catch up with one and all. Thanks N!mrod for the hospitality.

For a long time I have wanted to plan a caching trip to Ashburton from Christchurch, N!mrod's (awesome) event was the perfect excuse! Thank you very much for putting on such a memorable get together! Michelle and I had a great time! TFTC (810)

When I took my ticket I fully intended on attending as I would be able to tie it in with one of my regular trips South. No longer needing to do those now. Then I thought it may coincide with a trip to Dunedin for a funeral but that was held in Nelson this week. So sorry I'm no longer able to come. Haven't got my ticket but it was bound to be #37. have a great time.

Will be archiving this cache at 9am on Sunday morning. The box will be at the event for late loggers!! Please bring any soft drinks for any geokinder that you may be bringing. See you soon.

Have been to many events at this location over the years but our first geocaching event here tho. I'm assuming the dress code will be lot less formal than previous outings here.
Questions: Do u have to be present for draw ? Do u have to keep the bit from the logbook? I'm thinking NO to both, unless there was a small print condition I missed. Cheers.

Oh dash it! Last year I stated that I looked forward to coming back for the draw. But ....... I've now realised that I have a family commitment and will be unable to attend. Have a good time everyone.

It is the youngest member of that week so it may just be Stephen for a few minutes peace from the noise of 5yr old birthday party.

My sister had her wedding reception here many years ago; I hear management is better these days although prone to dashing out to "meetings" at short notice.

Having been to this venue, I'm definitely going to attend the event! having visited the aforementioned cache I am looking forward to winning the draw. Hoping that I didn't need to keep any part of the "logbook".
