Exploring the botanic gardens during my last day in Cairns with some caches along the way Tftc ! Greetings from France
Thanks to Walterhellmut for this cache. Coordinates were spot on. Juno had a good drink and lie down after her ball chasing on her fourth birthday! Always appreciate finding your hides. Cheers, Hobbsy.
Found a very old spoiler photo to help find the cache but no luck. Could not 100% identify the location but the place that seemed to be it didn't have anything there or maybe it's too far in and we didn't want to poke our hands in. We did look in the dark so maybe GZ is off and the location is actually a bit further
Came in from roadside and searched portals in the trees but could not find
Glad to have had Geoshiny with me today, as some light, a good vantage point & a dash of courage was needed to actually spot & retrieve this cache. Formalities taken care of now to replace as found. Thanks Walterhellmut I did enjoy this one!
Nejprve trochu konferenn cesta na Viruses of Microbes Cairns 2024 pozdji i dovolen ns pivedla k tto kei. Byl jsem zde ped 16 lety a te putujeme po naich stopch. Tehdy jsem vak jet o geocachingu vdl jen teoreticky. First, a bit of a conference trip to the Viruses of Microbes Cairns 2024 and then a vacation in North QLD brought us to this geocache. I was here 16 years ago and now we are following in our footsteps. At that time, however, I still knew about geocaching only theoretically. We had fish and chips at the Esplanade before leaving for the airport. In the mangroves, we were bitten by mosquitoes while searching.Dky za zakladatelsk poin a prci s tm spojenou. Found what we believe is the right place according to spoiler photos, but couldnt locate a cache. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on our way north for warmer weather. From Victoria to Cooktown, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
Man musste ein wenig aufpassen das man auf dem weg keine nassen Fe bekommt, aber dann konnten wir die Dose recht schnell entdecken!Everything good here, Thanks for the Cache!
The pollards found this one. Now off to the playground. I think we found a cane toad while looks in the first spot.
We did not find it the trees look different in the photos and all the trees look the exact same it's very confsing
Thanks for the hide! Great treasure hunt after a play at the pirate ship - can fit small swaps but we forgot our stash
The DownUnder 2024 team is travelling in Australia and New Zealand. We also used our stopover in Doha to cache. We met interesting places, friendly people and we had great experiences. Some caches led us to beautiful areas, historical events or hotspots on site. I try to publish my own pictures in the log as far as possible. Sometimes I also stand in logbooks with my nickname, often I have renounced to save space. We agreed that only one desired answer will be sent at a time. I hope all owners also think rationally. Thanks for all the experiences.
Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today was travel day and we went from Melbourne to Cairns.Due to the large number of caches, there is usually only one standard log, for which I would like to apologize to the different owners. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.
We have traveled with 36 likeminded geocachers to Australia and New Zealand resulting in lots of opportunities for sightseeing and geocaching. The logbooks were mostly signed under the teamname "Team DownUnder24" and answers were sent to owners for the group, as appropriate. This has been a great trip with a multifold of new impressions and experiences.During our stay in Cairns we had also the opportunity to visit some caches. This cache was today among our finds. Thanks for leading us here and showing and thanks for the cache.
Found this cache on a 21-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar. In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder. In Australia we will visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Cairns. Our stays in New Zealand will be in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. We are a group of 38 Geocachers from Germany and Denmark - At geocaches that we visit as a group, we sign the logbooks with our team-name "Team DownUnder24" to safe the owners a lot of space in the logbooks.TFTC, Team Zyanor
Together with 37 Cachers, we start a journey to Australia and New Zealand via Doha.In Qatar we spent one night and had almost one full day before heading to Sydney. In Australia we visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns. In New Zealand will be Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. To safe Logbook space, we signed the logbooks with our team-name "DownUnder24".Our Teammembers are:\_gc_, AmoebeST, AndyausDu, B@cker-1, Biggidag, Brummelbren, CacheTaucher, cooljo, Fotopinguin, Freizeit-Tina, Gazelle5111, GEO Karen, GoanToni, Hfi1, hupsi-1, karrai*, Leilah03, lenny love, Lupus54, Maxipimpf, muschel3, Ollilein, Opaundenkel, penalty96, Rheins, Simowl, sozioma, Sr. Elli, Team Zyanor, viko76, Webmasterrollerin, Whlhase, XenSuoThank you for the Cache.
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

# 21440Whau, I am on a three week trip with Cacher-Reisen and a bunch of fellow geocachers to Australia and New Zealand. It is so odd to imagine that I am going to visit a place that is nearly on the opposite of the globe from my usual hangouts. In Denmark it is late winter/early spring, and I am exchanging the winter-part for late summer in Australia and early autumn in New Zealand. This is so exciting. The itinerary is Frankfurt (Germany), Doha (Qatar), Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns (Australia) and Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Cromwell, Queenstown (New Zealand) before flying back to Europe. That will be two new continents and three new countries for me - and as far away from home as I have ever been. It is a lot of places and travelling, but we also have a plan to find lots of geocaches and see the sights and beautiful nature. In the wee hours of the night we all got up to go to the airport, headed for the next destination in Cairns. It turned out that that was not the right element for me with the heat and humidity. I had made arrangements to join the group on two boattrips, and all in all with a bit of seasickness, fatigue, jetlag and much more I think I would have been better off staying at the hotel. However, looking back on the trip now, I am happy that I went and also saw this part of Australia. Thankfully we also found a few caches in the area.Despite the heat the ground was wet and sometimes we had to walk carefully not to get very wet shoes. That continued all the way to the cache, but we managed to get to the mangrove and find the cache. From here we turned around and headed back to find a supermarket and get some lunch supplies for the boattrip.Tak for cachen til Walterhellmut.
After arriving in Cairns we (Team DownUnder24) dicovered the very interesting city by looking for some caches. "MANGROVE VIEW" was one of them and we could find it. All was in good condition. Thanks walterhellmut for showing that place

Short search while walking around waiting for my room to be ready. Found safe in its hidey hole with nobody about. Thanks.
The voices out of the mangroves sounded strange for Germans so one eye was on the mangroves the other one serching. But in the end it was fun. Tftc
