F(H)ound It! #3877 @ 4:45 PMDunnehunters joined me for an afternoon's caching on Tuggers Hill.As previous finders have noted, the field puzzle no longer works and the lid has broken so that the log is easily reached. The outer container is broken so that the contents are wet and the original log book is mush. We signed the sheet left by team TT which is dry for now.thanks for the cache, fusilade
After the morning CITO, it was time for a beautiful walk on Tuggeranong Hill.A group met together after the cleanup in Harrison and headed far south to Tuggeranong. This was a beautiful walk and all our logs were signed as TT today. Thanks fusilade Domsky
Good start to the day. Log was a bit worse for wear so replaced log in new bag. After a very cold and chilly and foggy start to the day its turned into a fabulous winter day. Perfect for a walk over Tuggeranong Hill. Signed as Tuggeranong Trekkers. Thanks for getting me out and about fusilade
Tuggeranong HillI decided to take a hike over Mt Tuggeranong today to find some caches with some mates. Signed as Tuggeranong Trekkers (TT). The cube was wet and not working properly. We could access the log book bit it was soaked so swapped in a new log book in fresh baggy. Thanks for the hide fusilade
Find # 1252627/7/2024 Accompanied by Search4, Domsky, KittyKatch, Joolay, Aykayem, FurfacesLL. Great company. Signed as TT for Tuggeranong Trekkers. Some great views! All caches found, and logged. Thanks fusilade for Cubed
Nice stretch of the legs up here. Intrigued and excited about the promised puzzle. Discovered waterlogged cache from cracked lid and when training the puzzle plug fell out with pulped logbook - photo attached if find evidence. Maibtenence required. TFTC fusilade!
Found with AngelG and Nibletricecakes. Container and cube were dull of water a very ewwwww. Logbook could not be signed. Photo sent to CO. TFTC.
Peeled off from the large group after securing Calwell’s highest mint tin to chase this one down with AngelG27 and GLISS! Found the cache without much trouble but it was full of water moss and mould. Managed to empty it all out with Angel solving the puzzle. Attempted to sign the log but the slimy wet made it impossible. Have sent a photo log to the CO. Thanks for the creative cache.
Cache 9629 on 3 Feb 2023.
Ventured down south after work with a group walk to find the Calwell highest mint tin. A very pleasant evening with cool weather and good company.
After grabbing the HMT, Nibletricecakes, GLISS! and I headed back down the hill to this cache. Sadly, it was in poor condition with the container fill of water. I manipulated the cube to get it open, but the log was too wet to sign sadly.
Thanks fusilade for the cache and the fun!

#681 A nice little fun hide here. We hadn’t noticed the relevance of the title until we arrived due to a lack of description reading on both our parts, but this made it even more enjoyable as we got a little surprise too. Turtle made it a fair way through to retrieving the log but where he’d hit a dead end I could see the final few moves and soon had the log in our grasps. Thanks Fusilade for hiding this cache, it was an enjoyable walk to it and an enjoyable retrieval too
#2588 What a fun hide. Locating the cache was only part of the challenge. I started off and got part of the way before DeadThief spotted the final moves and took charge of the log retrieval. Thanks fusilade for a different and enjoyable cache which has certainly paid for itself time and time again over the last decade. Cheers!
Checking out Mt Tuggeranong today and picking up a few caches. Cache was full of water, attempted to sign the soggy log but took a photo instead
I am a big puzzle fan, and this was a fun way to do a cache. Took a few minutes to complete but it’s an internet challenge. Unfortunately, the log is too wet to sign, but took a picture of it freed from its cage for proof. TFTC!
We don’t follow paths
Guarded by many swordsmen
Second bleeding toe
#haikujam with dr. Strange
Was a bit of a climb but we made it.
Container very wet and log also, so couldn’t sign. Tried to make the puzzle challenging for the next cacher!

Found! Cache is absolutely drenched though, both the container and the logbook should be replaced.
The Cubed puzzle seems to have had it's heyday come to an end unfortunately! Someone must have forced the little switch and snapped the internal plastic as you don't even need to solve the puzzle anymore, the door just opens either way! But I like the idea, and have seen this exact puzzle in other caches before, at least once in North Canberra too!
Thanks fusilade, the outer container and logbook is still holding up OK for now, but starting to get a bit old

This was a great puzzle! I'm not one for puzzles and as such probably took me longer than it should have but it was challengingly enjoyable all the same. Thanks fusilade
De-cubed and signed! It wasn't until I'd 'solved' the cube that I realised it opened regardless of whether you solve it or not! Oh well. Mine is a moral victory. Thanks for the fun fusilade.
Easy find - took us 10 minutes to access the log. What a fantastic cache - thank you!
Found it and despite the cube being open when I arrived I reset and stood in the rain playing!
Lid not locking properly anymore on the siemester container could be replaced soon! Thanks!

Soooo, with all the "self- isolation" going on, Aquilus1 and my original plans for going further afield went up in smoke, but that was OK as we ended up going around Tuggernaong cleaning up the caches here and there that we were missing. There were a few that both of us had not found, and quite a few just one of us had logged previously.
Tuggeranong Hill was a feature, and I have to say I dont understand why it only gets the moniker "hill'... it felt much like Mt Taylor and the contour lines tell me they are roughly the same height.
We even found a letterbox, ammo can and all, with a PROPER stamp! none of this kids stamp set rubbish we have seen of late...
I was a little sad as I felt like a Goodberries today... I havent had one for maybe 10 years, its certainly been a while...but they are closed for the entire weekend. Always the way hey.
Sorry for the generic log, we did so many today

A warm day, but decided to go for a walk on Tuggeranong hill after being stuck at home for the school holidays. Very quiet today - had the place to myself.
A big walk down the hill to this spot. Familiar with these as I have one on Mt Ainslie (yours seems to be better built). Surprised how long this one has been here for. People keep breaking mine!
Forgotten how to do this, so spent some time on it and eventually got the log.
Thanks,

Thanks,
After a short stroll up a rather big hill bit of a scramble over some rocks the cash was in hand. One of our team thinks it was a marathon the rest of us are quite happy. The cash was found and undone after a bit of thinking and now is back in place thanks
Hey we are at the cube enjoying the view and watching the puzzles under the puzzle and log signed and put back in place thanks for another fantastic cashThanks for the short stroll up the mountain without like mountain goats now for the big trip down thanksA favourite point from us thanks
Out and about with geofriends picking up a few caches and really enjoyed this one, well done CO and a favorite point from me.

Staying in Canberra (from Brisbane) for a week of Mega celebrations. Enjoying the crisp mornings and beautiful days, caching whenever we can.
This reserve for our afternoon exercise.
Another nifty field puzzle cache. Just as well hatzofff is clever at these.

This is another cool awesome puzzle/container/cache! Fav point from me!
Nice view from here and get to do a bit of hike to find the cache.
Found with legocacher79, yengah and hongkeysam.

There was three cache in the area on my list today and this was the first. What a great cache. Thanks for the effort. Cheers
I'm house sitting and pet minding nearby, so it's a good opportunity for me to hunt some caches in my spare time. I used to have one of these way before I discovered Geocaching. I sat and moved the ball around to a spot that should, hopefully, provide some entertainment for the next person. TFTC.
Tftc I actually used to have one of these puzzles and remembered how tedious I found them. So I mage my friend do it.
This was an awesome challenge. Thoroughly enjoyed doing this while being carefully watched by some native wildlife(kangaroos or wallabies!).
We knew what needed to be done but getting from A to B was easier said than done! Tftc

#363 @ 12:12. Last day with Jump Pilot we put time aside before the flight home to see the country side and grab a few caches. Took a seat and 6 mins to sign log.
Nice little spot for a cache, views without the climb always got to be happy with that! Cache was found all Ok and enjoyed moving the ball around the cube once the log was signed. Thanks for the cache fusilade.
After everyone else had a go Mr Geo finally got the ball in the right place. Quite happy sitting here imagining how great the view would be at night. Kutgw
AddictedGamer and Youban played with the cube until Mr Youban got it to the right spot. Fun puzzle and love the effort! Was nice sitting on the rocks with the breeze blowing. Tftc!!!
Found on a wander through/up/around Tuggeranong Hill with the geo-Lagotto and muggle friend. Thanks fusillade

Despite the weather, I headed out for some geocaching and exercise. I started with the first WP for a couple of multis, while it was snowing! The weather cleared up nicely as the afternoon progressed. Cache quickly found, but I must have spent a good 5 to 10 minutes getting access to the log. TFTC.

#7578 - 11:30; I got a call a few days ago from Mr Damage who correctly pointed out that it had been some time since we undertook a caching mission together. We named a date and decided to head southside to collect a few caches around Mt Tuggeranong. After grabbing a coffee and something to eat at the Lanyon Maccas, we headed off. Parked the geomobiles over the road from the Emergency Services building and headed off. This made three puzzling caches in a row for the morning, what is it with this area? Anyway after I had a bit of a go at this one, MrD did the honours and we got our names onto the logsheet. TFTC fusilade
Found 11:32 am with LuckyL10n. We decided to get together and do a bit of caching an opportunity as I am between major work assignments. After LuckyL10n had a go I wanted to continue. It was kind of stuck in one spot I needed a back track and then in to the right spot and direction to unlock. Signed the log and then back to shuffling the ball.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Hatch opened without too much effort on my part. Not sure the mechanics are working properly. Signed the log and restored the container to its original condition as best as I could make it. TFTC fusilade.
#2187 A quick find, but took a little while to sign log. Found while walking with Duffco and Vlad. TFTC.
Sunday 2 October 2016 - a beautiful warm sunny Spring afternoon in the low twenties and hardly a breeze AND enjoyed the most recent snow falls over Mt Ginini & Gingera in the distance. Rode push bike part way and walked approx 6km for two solid hours over a four hour period to find just 8 from 10 caches. Sadly this included NOT finding'Tuggeranong Tops' despite a long steep climb to the top. Thx p2p. TFTC fusilade.

Yet another trip down to Tuggeranong this Sunday, this being the area of my focus currently. Today was around Tuggeranong Hill. It was a long day with plenty of hills covering about 15Km on foot. Unsurprisingly, I'm a bit footsore tonight. I parked in Theodore and headed off armed with lunch and an ambitious plan. The weather was good, perhaps a little on the cool side with Spring less than a week away.
I've seen one of these before on the Canberra Bicentential trail up near Hall. On that occasion, the previous finder had not closed it properly and it was open. This time, I found the cube well closed & I jiggled it about for a while trying to get to open. Then, without any skill on my part, the hatch popped open. I was surprised and a bit relieved. I made sure it was closed properly.

Wow. That was difficult to get into. Thankfully I was hidden from view as that took about 10 mins. Great fun though. TFTC
We headed out to search for a cache before it got to late. This one looked fun and interesting with so many FPs we had to give it a go! We didn't have our usual caching gear on us so it was a bit of a scamble up with phone torches but we arrived at GZ. Miss Stormcatcher has done the northern version of this one and made short work of it. Log signed before we sat and enjoyed and awesome views! Thanks fusilade.
I too found it open. I wonder if a muggle is not checking it out. I left it closed. TFTC
Out for a walk with Skip the geohound, and a few caching friends and their dog. I knew what to expect on this cache as I had ordered a simple one off ebay for a cache, but mine arrived broken so it was never put in to play. Sadly the finder before us had not reset the puzzle so we accessed the log without a problem. One of the people I was with wanted to play with it and closed it up ....before we put the log book back in, so we had to solve it anyway. Thanks for a fun cache. Fav point from me!
Neat cache! The find was a piece of cake, but it took me around 5 minutes to open the cube. Its a long time since I tinkered with one of these - and then it was only in two dimensions, not three! Well worth a favourite point. TFTC, Fusilade
#1186. 173 days in a row.
I headed out here on my way to a friend's place in the general vicinity. I got to GZ and made a quick find of the cache container, then it was on to opening it...
This was rather tricky to do by torchlight, maybe I should have left it to do during daylight hours. I think I'd got to the penultimate state without realising the last step at one stage and ended up going backwards from there. Eventually I got the moving part all the way to the end and was able to open the container. This was a rather time consuming cache (and quite frustrating at times).

I remember doing one of these on the Sunshine coast quite a few years ago and it gave me nothing but grief.
Today I had it in 30 seconds. Whether the previous finder left it almost solved or I was just lucky I will never know.
I grateful nevertheless.
Thanks

We set out this morning, expecting to spend a large part of the day finding all the caches in the area. But we only got about 3 hours in when Saf's knees gave way, and we had to head home. We've still got more than half to find, so we'll be back soon.
This was a nice, easy find after a climb up the hill. No ants around today (it's raining, so they're probably smart and staying inside) and we had the cube open within a minute or two. A fun idea, TFTC!

The third find on my tour of Tuggeranong hill. For this one, I had to dismount my bike and start wheeling it, which I ended up doing a lot of - it's not a park made for exploring on wheels...
I identified Ground Zero easily enough and retrieved the box, but I was a bit antsy (:p) about opening it with all those devilish little anklebiters about - I'd already been bit a few times before I'd even got the cache in hand! So I retreated and set to puzzling it out. It didn't prove too hard, but I enjoyed the novelty of it! Thanks for the cache.
It seemed to me that this was also the place to leave the trackable that I've been carrying with me far too long, to no real purpose. Trackable Theron 3 wishes to circumnavigate the earth as close to the equator as it can - no task that I am up to, as I am a regular traveller from the antipodes to europe but no points in between! Theron has seen much with me, but I hope its next owner can be more mindful of its goal. Good luck, little badge!

40 mins!! Little ball just didn't want to play...but eventually I got it log signed and returned! TFTC
A wonderful afternoon of geocaching in the heat around Tuggeranong Hill and later behind Bonython.
A bit of a challenge to start the day. Finding it was the easy part. Figuring out how it worked was pretty easy too, implementing the solution took rather longer. Clearly some people are better at things like this than I am... Got there in the end. Took nothing but left an orange snake in honour of the large brown one I passed on the way to GZ (a few hundred metres away, though, but they are definitely about at the moment). TFTC!!

Found while spending the day in Canberra with Rapdilywild.
Cruising around and enjoying the sunny weather when we found ourselves in the vicinity of this cache, so of course we had to go find it
We parked the car as close as we could and walked in from there. Thanks for the fun fusilade

Day 2 of caching around Canberra with Coruze from Albury/Wodonga. We picked up a handful of caches last night prior to resorting back to the warmth of the house.
As we continued our travels south side, this was the next target. Ahhh another hill lol we have seen a few today already but we keep on going. We got half way up and realised what was in stake so back down for a tool and up again lol. It took a total of like 30 seconds to solve the cube and we soon had cache in hand. I do enjoy these kind of caches
Thanks for the cache placement fusilade

TFTC fusilade. Loved solving the puzzle (aka like 20 mins). Dropped off TB. A definite favourite for me.
I found this as part of a daily streak I am working on. I enjoy the challenge of the hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching. My new GPS is working great and it has really improved my geocaching experience. The box was fun. Thanks go to fusilade for placing this cache and maintaining it. This cache was another "Found it" for me. TFTC! Cheers. Jump Pilot
A cache within a cache, very impressive but I reckon hard to do at night☺ took a few mins to open this devious tricky container, cheers.
Found it, opened it and signed the logbook. Thanks fusilade for the great geocache.
Looked for it in the dark but didn't see it. I will come back in the light of day.
