The area has been taken over by a housing development. The owner might like to check on it.

The closest we could get to GZ was 2m, but that led us directly to the construction fence of a new build house...Concerned that this little cache may no longer be intact - CO may wish to confirm?

Not really a did not find, more like a could not access. I come in from Riley Street. It is blocked off. No worries. I come in from the west on Benhaim Street. I look yonder. The road is closed. No entry. I guesstimate that the council workers are right on the money. It would look far too weird for me to rock up.

I think this is one of those embarrassing moments when I have to admit that I couldn't find something that many before me have claimed is easy to find.
I scaled some rocks and lifted everything that would move. I increased the search area but really liked one area in particular that had some nice hidey holes but no cache that I could see.
While balancing on a rock and peering into crevices, I shone my torch into a gap and saw an eye looking back at me!
That was it. Straight back into the car and no more sticking my fingers into places I can't see. I don't know what kind of creature that was, but I know it wasn't a cache!
The area looks very different from the other log photos and the google map images. There are bulldozers and a construction fence at GZ. I hope they haven't moved the cache. Perhaps someone who knows what it looks like and where it should be might confirm that it is ok still. There's no way I'm looking again for a while though. That creature didn't look happy about me disturbing its sleep.

I managed to drop something heavy on my foot on Friday. I can't even remember what it was as it was Ok for a while and then I twisted it a certain way and the pain was quite intense.
I was surprised at how we take for granted our ability to walk and if you live in a 2 storey house this becomes more important. After two nights on the couch downstairs I decided that I simply must walk somewhere.
I decided to go out and pick up a few solved puzzles and some caches not involving too much of a walk.
A quick walk amongst the rocks.
Thanks for the cache.

After attempting a nearby cache before having to bail because there was group of seedy people there, we pulled up to this GZ. After initially finding the wrong rock, a look to the right at a another boulder proved fruitful, and the cache was in hand. The cache and contents were in good condition. Found with Krupa.

Out today with Whird on the way to meeting Hot Wheels Duo and Geobuster. This was the last one to be found before making the move to our little meeting.

The cache was in the obvious spot really and it did not take a lot of looking to find it in the end.

Bit of a tricky one to find. But a nice dry cache, thanks

No problem getting to GZ as the line of rocks are very visible from the roadside. Finding the cache proved a little harder, but a little persistence and we soon had the log signed and tucked away again. Cache nice and dry.

I hate rock hides. I think it is because I can never find them. Fortunately we had enough eyes to find it this time around.

I dropped off Geo wife, parked the car, walked up and she was already signing the log. I can't believe she's getting this fast at finding caches. This Canadian picked up the Canadian Micro geocoin Big Grin. Nice to see other things from Canada are making their way over here and not just me.

stupid lines playing havoc with the GPS

got a reading from the road and went straight in

this is the first one we attempted today with a caching run over the river.

05-Sep-12
Aaahhh, Aussiegirlz. When we read the title of this next cache on our list for today I can't lie - my heart slumped a little. But when we pulled up, I looked over and immediately my heart lifted again. That doesn't look like it will be too hard. Yeah, well! With our first scan across the row - nothing. Try from the other side - nothing. Okay, time to get serious. Found a poking stick and started from there and moved right along the back and back right along the front. We were just about to give up when YEP - THERE IT WAS, all the time. Just have to hit JUST the right spot. Thanks for this sneeaky little hide Aussiegirlz. We signed the log gratefully and re-hid the cache. NINO.

05-Sep-12
We were so sure we could do this one we even left the vehicle unlocked and didn't bother taking the iPhone. We were humbled by this hide, and had to parade up and down the line of rocks checking and re-checking. I admit I was ready to leave when Aussie Liahona hit the plastic container while doing a sort of rock-flossing action. Sometimes it's the only way. After seeing no cars on this road the whole time we were there, when we came to pull out on to the road to leave a CAR came up the hill. Yes a car. You never know what will come along when you're caching.

headed our today determined to end our run of dnf's on AG caches! found t this one tucked away after a systematic search.

Tftc all in good condition. wouldn't like to do this one in summer!

20-Aug-12
Found on a morning of geocaching. With geo hubby on one side of the wall & myself on the other we decided we would check as we went. With accurate co-ords it didn't take long to find, rock walls are always a worry.

Out with Gunnie69 today..

Well this one had us flummoxed for a while we searched high/low, here/there/, hither & yon & all places in between to no avail

Then Gunnie spots it staring him in the face where we already looked Hmmmmm...

Well all for the numbers so we sign the log and scarper on our way..

TNLNSL

Thanks aussiegirlz

29-Jul-12
Why is it that the simple hides, often take you a while to find... Anybody got any idea... [?]

Kaisho53 and I worked from one end of GZ to the other and came up empty handed. On the return journey, I spotted the cache staring me in the face. No camo, just right there in front of me... Surprised

So, after I removed the taunting container, the log was signed and I tucked it back. This time, with a little camo over the top... Wink

Cheers aussiegirlz.

I reckon geocaching must be so easy when you dont have a small child in arms bounding over rocks etc. The co-ords had me a few m off but close enough to start looking. Mr. T was excited at the eventual find! TFTC

26-Jun-12
My gps was a little off. Searched left, looked right. Hunted in front and behind and eventually found what I wanted Smile

Well these are nice rocks - would look good in my garden Wink

the cache was an easy find because it was exposed, but we covered it well before we left

Number twelve for me during a day out with Whint and Bad Dal. I let her know with plenty of time the cache was coming up but yet again she drove past. So she did a u turn and didn't listen when I said stop. GEEZ woman just pull over!!!!

Up we went and after Whint showing me her impersonation of a crazy person (infallible) we had to find the cache so we focused and started looking. It was my turn to come up with the goods as Whint was almost there on the other side. Thanks for the cache

15-Jun-12
In the area with Net88 grabbing some much wanted caches in the area.. this one was the next in our line of vision and I actually drove straight past GZ and had to do a u-turn... only to drive straight past again... oops... I blame Net88 for her dodgy navigation skills although I am sure she will say I just don't listen or something similar ;P

anyway, navigation and listening skills aside... we parked and climbed our way to GZ... there was a muggle and her muggle boy walking past so I proceeded to start being a bit of a goon and dancing on the rocks... the little one seemed entertained Razz Net88 was just in awe of my wondering dancing abilities Razz

OK where were we... oh thats right... the cache... we made our way along the rocks to the correct location and started to search... it wasn't long before we had the cache in hand... signed and returned... and found the easier way back to the car Smile

tftc and the fun Smile

Out and about with IolantheK today grabbing a few of the new caches in the area. Smile
This was our second of the day and after searching a few places with me on one side and IolantheK on the other the cache was soon found tucked away. Smile

Out and about with Brother Colin.

Number 2, and another tricky hide, as there are plenty of good spots at GZ. BC went one way and I went the other, and it was my turn to make the find. TFTC, aussiegirlz.

14-Jun-12
After a not so successful attempt at the nearby cache I stopped by this one, hoping it to not be as elusive. There was a surprising amount of traffic as I rock hopped up towards GZ. I noted the area is showing signs of night caching and I began my hunt in the obvious spots, progressively moving along. The suggested offset had me by an old fence, so ignored that. Eventually on a return sweep on the back side, I spotted the beats, perched a bit higher than expected. As I signed the log I allowed my GPS to settle and average a set of co-ords it was 100% confident with, I have posted those with this log. Otherwise, glad to have another smiley added to the kitty, TFTC Aussiegirlz Smile

This one had me nearly beat! I was about to give up, then I spotted something!!

Very glad not to have a DNF here!!
