Went to check on this today and found that the old wooden seats have been replaced by metal ones!
Given that this cache was all about the hide, I can't see the point in replacing it with something different. Thanks to those that visited.

Headed out with Bobl27 to grab a few caches after dropping son off at his course.
I had tried for this one before only to be thwarted by muggles. Today we were thwarted by a DNF. Try as we might, we could not get this one to pop into our hand or spotted by our eyes. With 3 DNFs, might be time to check up and confirm whether we are the gumbies in this situation!

Out for a spot of mid-week night caching with CBRChic. Well it was cold and breezy out tonight and with very mixed success. We tried to do a few multis in keeping with this week's Mary Hyde theme/task, but were not successful. Pretty much lack of time got us in the end. Still, we got a few.
Not sure it was on the correct location. It certainly wasn't in plain sight. CBRChic says she recalls finding it elsewhere so we put it back there.
TFTC Pacmania.

Found this today with our great friends and there super cool kids very crafty hide had a great time here today thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot
Found on a stroll around the neighborhood with the geo-Lagotto. I think this is first really cold day for this winter, but the sun is shining and the geo-Lagotto needs to do her business.
Easily found , almost ripped the log rolling it back up....
Thanks

A nice quick find with the squirrel this afternoon. We lost our pencil somewhere in transit to this cache so used our stamp to leave two 'tails' instead tftc
**Grrrr. I hate nanos. Burn down the nano factory!** Nano rant over. What a cool little park. It was a shame not to see any muggles playing on such a beautiful day. At least it made it easier for us to find this sneaky little guy. TFTC
Gotcha ! On my caching expedition this month I added this one to my list of finds. Catching up on my logs for the month. TFTH. CIH within a few minutes. Nice park, ollddd equipment.
Looked in all the wrong places for about 20 mins, but thankfully suzella29 came through with the find. Geokid loving this park. Perfect autumn day. Thankful to be living in canberra on days like this. Tftc!!
Took about 20mins, as looking in the wrong place...went back to where we were first looking...not sure how we missed it the first time!! Lovely little park too. TFTC
Thank you for the cache. Log signed and cache replaced. *OCW Throsbyonchurch*.

Found -- 4:25:00 PM -- SL TFTH. Thanks for bringing us here to this location Pacmania. Cache in good condition.
Planned heading into Canberra for more caching following the three cache finds at *Bellmounts Forest*, however with the original plans going out the window two days prior I was left with no backup plan. Found myself in a dither meandering around the ACT trying to find easy traditional caches to find - not a good thing when you travel some distance to be here - lesson learnt. We did find ourselves at a mall near the airport with the kids spending their gift cards and then a trip over to the War Memorial. All ended well.
I love Canberra, but it is really weird / strange driving around it, it's certainly a world of it's own. The houses and streets are different to what I am used to seeing in other places I travel, some of the houses in newer suburbs have, in my opinion a European feel. McDonald's in Mort Street - when does one ever visit a drive-thru like that, not me obviously. Anyway I really enjoyed the little time I spent venturing around the neighbourhood and hope to come back more often.
The youngins enjoyed a slide down the antiquated slippery slide while I sat on the crooked seat wondering where the cache would be hiding. Along came came some muggles to interupt my snoop. They didn't notice the caching being located and replaced. Like the name of this cache and the street name

Oh well got it now! Thanks Pacmania

Found in the rain. Took a bit longer than it should have considering I looked in the right place first off. Thanks.

A short walk for the Ridgeo-pup to GZ from the car. I thought about doing the traditionals in Downer by foot but decided to get a walk in by grabbing a multi before we left. There was a magnificaent spiders web near the cache. Just strung across the path at head level [xx(][xx(]. Thank you for bringing us to another pretty park. Thanks for the cache, Pacmania.

Today we thought we'd head out with The Woofer and Saf's bike, and grab a few solved puzzles as well as some trads and multis in the area. 20 caches, 20km and 4.5hrs later we were done - and despite a complete moron on her phone almost killing Chris and The Woofer on a pedestrian crossing when she SPED UP as they were half-way across, we had a great morning!
A nice quick find. And yay - a seat to rest on for a few moments! TFTC!

Spent the morning around O'Connor, Lyneham, Dickson, Mitchell and Giralang cleaning out a few caches. TFTC.
Another smiley added with Aquilus1. Such a nice quiet park. Nice to be able to sit and take a load of for a bit. Tftc!!!
Out with dty73 and exploring the Downer park caches. 4 out of 4 and this one also found well and quite easily. Nice too that the playgrounds offer something you can sit to log. Thanks for the cache Pacmania.
Suscoe ventured out on Australia Day in Canberra for a terrific day of caching and enjoying all things Canberra.
We covered a bit of territory and found a good number of caches.
The weather was sunny and warm with almost no breeze.
We were surprised that the roads were pretty quiet and so were the parks and reserves.
Such a good range of caches in some nice locations.
Thanks to Pacmania for this hide.
An interesting area with well maintained gardens and a few overgrown yards.

Needed a daily cache find, decided this would be good for a quick drive by grab on my way to a knitting meetup (where I did some crochet
TFTC - found it quickly, which was good, as I had almost made myself late to the knitting/crochet group by spending ages talking to some interesting character outside the Belconnen library after the other thing I was at in the morning ...
Another odd little park I have now been to - lol

5:55pm 29/11 - well camouflaged, but not hard to see if you know the tactics employed in areas like this. Didn't realise until arrival that I didn't have a pen, I'll have to revisit Wednesday afternoon to make our mark. TFTC Pacmania.
Lots of strange looking bees around today and a muggle mowing his lawn. Oh well - gave it a good crack. Better luck next time. Great park. So pretty.
We were driving by this area today and had a look to see if there were any caches to be had. This one was the nearest and so we stopped at the park which was very quiet today.
A quick find and then on our way again.
Thanks

In Canberra for the 31st National rally of CMCA. When one goes to a rally as a geocacher, one always attends to geocaching first. Our first today and got feet wet in the long grass. Found cache quickly and also picked up a large teething ring to drop into another cache.

The playground is a stagnant lake at the moment! Made it very tricky for 5yo geokid to get on the swing, but we managed it, while we waited for the nearby dog walker to move on. Great sneaky hide! The O ring needs replacing -it has broken. But we tried to cobble it back together to keep the cache waterproof. TFTC
Spent 40 mins looking for this with a few other cachers, no luck with this one
Unbelievable that I just spent 15 mins looking for this thing and it was right where I thought it was the whole time. Almost gave up. TFTC.
We searched for this cache by torchlight as the sun had set some time ago. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Pacmania for the cache.
Tftc. Cache in plain sight made a quick find tonight in the freezing cold. Brrrr....
I was looking for something completely different and everywhere but there, and then there it was, thank goodness it's cold and getting dark
Doing a few caches in Downer on the bike. I pulled up at GZ. Simple quick search, sign & replace. TFTC
Found with Mum after lunch in Dickson after the Airport open day. This one was more tricky but Mum spotted it. TFTC
Trying not to watch the neighbours cooking dinner while looking around for this one. Not here, not there, ah, there you are

With a few minutes to spare before a meeting nearby, I took the opportunity to attempt this one again, mow that it has been replaced. This time I found almost immediately. TFTC.

With a couple of hours to spare between engagements, I filled in the time caching. I spent ages here this afternoon without success.
Took me ten minutes of poking around in bushes and another ten minutes of sitting on the bench and combing through previous logs for a hint, but eventually found the cache. Marvellous hide, thanks so much!!
Attempt 1 was frustrating, even after dark. There was muggle activity, and the 2 location sources (inc the GPS) were both wrong. Turned up tonight and it took 10 seconds... nicely done
Still took a while to find this one. We hunted for quite a while around a few spots before finally making the find. Very nicely hidden. Thanks for replacing this one Pacmania
Found 8:45pm. This is my second visit out here to look for this. I again was looking for a cache tonight to do for my daily and I noticed that this had been maintained so it seemed to be the perfect cache to do given the cold night. I headed over and this time didn't take too long to spot something. Found the cache I then took a while to extract it from the hide (it was being difficult) and then the log. Found I was the first to find the new replacement. Rolled up the log a little tighter after signing it. Returned the cache back to it's hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache.

Lunch time walk to discover the newly replaced cache. I was pretty sure I knew what to look for and found it immediately.

Confirmed it is missing. Found my spare when I got home
I'll try to get it back during the weekend.

Not going to happen for me either. Checked out the area. The obvious was the bench. Checked bench out in detail, there had been new bolts added over recent times to the bench could find nothing after searching top to bottom, even checked the surrounding ground. Contemplated kids playground but that was further out.
Returned 13th August 2015 with another finder for confirmation that it was gone.

No Find. Like the previous Geocachers it took me to the trees but no luck at all.

No luck today for us . GPSr was taking us to amongst the trio of small trees. We examined many snails, a pile of dog poop, a few sticks and plenty of tree limbs but no cache was revealed. We widened our search to examine the seat but couldn't spot anything there either. Sounds like a tricky one! 'Til next time
Not too hard to find. I found the co-ords to be accurate, which helped. First to sign a nice clean log with lots of space. TFTC
Yes, not looking the best after that, but it did improve the camo . Replaced with a fresh one.
Took a little while to find it, poked a huntsman spider out of a knothole. A set of tweezers would have been handy. TFTC
Trodectus and I had quite tough time finding this one. I can't say why without giving too much away. But, something had happened that increased the level of difficulty of this cache. I would rate it now at least 3 rather than just 2. GZ on my Garmin was within 3 meters.[^][^][^]
I finally found it.
Remember to bring your tweezers and a fine pen for the log.
To economize on log space may I suggest that in future geocachers could enter just day/month plus 2 letter acronym for the name. I hope that is satisfactory to the CO.
Anyway, my complements to Pacmania on an excellent and challenging hide.
This deserves a favourite from me.

Replaced log & container (old one needs painting). A few spots left in the log, but fairly full.
We had to go back to our campsite so I decided to detour via a cache. I'd been here before in the dark without success but perhaps the daylight and concentrating on somewhere else helped as before too long the very clever cache was spotted. Thanks!

The night's accommodation was pre-booked with family, so there was time to catch a few local caches during the afternoon. We cottoned on to this bold hide very quickly. With over 150 finds, surely it must have anti muggle spray to have lasted 12 in that spot. [Red]TOTALLY FULL LOG[/Red].
You've used the attribute "kid friendly' but we do wonder just how "Kid Friendly" micro's are? They don't have the ability to include swaps and stash; the type of things kids enjoy looking for/through when they find a cache.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks to Pacmania for the hunt.

The log of this cache is proof of its popularity - it is absolutely chock a block! Sorry but we don't carry spare logs for this type of cache.

Nice disguise!!! Well done!! I've just been to collect my wife's ashes, with Knightech for moral support. We're going to do a few caches to cheer me up a bit, followed by dinner and drinks at Chez Knightech. Thanks for the cache.
We were running short of time yesterday so returned this morning with a fresh perspective. A cheeky but very effective hide. TFTC.
