A quick find with frmen1 after our lunch. Appropriate find since we've been watching Paris 2024. I have full log strip if CO wants it. TFTC
Found after having a nice bacon and egg sandwich at the local store. Thanks, we changed the log out as it was full.
Yippee! Found it! I was told about Debbie Wells on my first visit to Torrington in 1978, so I enjoyed looking for this cache. And it was quick to find - harder to sign as the log is full. I managed to squeeze the date & my initials in just!TFTC!
I quick find, and our last one in Emmaville. The log is full but we squeezed a signature on. Thanks!
Out on a weekend out west. Thought we would loop around through Emmaville and find a few caches. Nice easy park and grab. TFTC.
Great cache quick clip park and grab picture of cache because I couldn’t sign the log

Stayed overnight in Glen Innes and spending the morning in the Emmaville area before heading off to Tamworth for a few days. Spent a lovely few hours out this way exploring places that caching is taking us. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches and enhancing our visit.
Out and about caching today in the Emmaville district after driving from Glen Innes. Thank you to the CO's for the placement of these caches and bringing us to spots where you would otherwise drive past. Cache found, log signed and cache placed where found. TFTC
With a couple of hours to myself, and Emmaville & all its caches being so close, I made way here for some caching.
It's nice to see Australia represented by athletes from small communities, as well as major cities where the funding, infrastructure & support tends to be.
A quick search resulted in the CIH & a quick sign & replace. TFTC.

Tried on one side of the road, then the other and back to the first and there it was! TFTC
Another unloved cache here in Emmaville that we turned into a loved one. When you see the size of this small town I found it amazing that someone could be discovered here as such a great athletic talent. Yet my husband tells me there are many former small town inhabitants that became stars of various sports. It was good to see this young lady honored by the town and this cache. Thanks possum bugs 43 for making sure we knew of her huge accomplishment of representing Australia, and each of us, in no less than 3 Olympics. Cache was found in good condition and we gladly signed the log.
Cheers and happy caching!

TFTC. Returning from Tenderfield we decided to detour through Emmaville as there is family connection with tin mining at tent hill.
While in the Glen Innes area we travelled the locallity exploring the area and stopping for caches. This was one we targetted and found. On our day out to got to explore an old mining area in Ottery and also found a good place for lunch in Emmaville at the pub. Thanks to possum bugs 43 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After getting to Glen Innes yesterday, it was time to do the caches around the immediate area. Out with Liz and Bruce for the last day bfore we part company. Great caches in the area and a few more klm logged in the car.

Last traditional cache for the day. A quick find at a GZ that revealed some fascinating facts about Emmaville's wonder girl. Thanks for another wonderful cache possum bugs 43. SL as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.
Thanks for this cache found on the last day of the Commonwealth Games good on you Debbie
I am still on my way home from the OZ Geomuster Mega event held at Morisset over the Easter week-end.
I arrived in Emmaville late yesterday arvo and stayed at the fantastic caravan park.
Nice and quiet, mowed lawns, electricity and clean showers and toilets all for $10 for a solo traveller.
So this morning I headed off around town to find all of the geocaches. In the end I DNF'ed just the one. [^]
A quick find here in the usual spot. [^]

We are heading from Brisbane to Bright in Victoria, caching as we go, wherever it is safe to pull up with the caravan. We left Brisbane on 3rd Jan and dont have to be in Bright til the end of the month. Today's drive takes us from Deepwater to Guyra, via Emmaville.
Just as we arrived in Emmaville, the geo app played up, so had to rely on gps only. Found this one quickly. Thanks possum bags

This cache was very quickly and easily found as the cache name indicated just where it would be. No problem, except that the log was over full and needs to be replaced urgently. We had to write over another cacher's name to be able to sign this one. Thanks to possum bugs 43 for another placement in Emmaville.
I am rather ashamed that I didn't know of this famous athlete , certainly do now. The cache was located with good co ords . The log is full but just squeezed in my name. Thank you possum bugs 43 for all your caches.
Quick park and grab. The log book is full managed to squeeze my name at the front of the paper.
Finally been able to get to Emmaville with my Geodog Scruffy to find these caches, which I noticed on the map a while back.
We really enjoyed finding these caches in and around this area.

Found while staying in the caravan park. The fire is now going to cook the pizzas we hope
Of course I had to go google the Emmaville Express, I think I remember her now but what an achievement coming from such a small town. Cache was easily found. TFTC
Found at 1:14 PM GAFF1.
Well that's it for our little diversion to Emmaville on our way to Stanthorpe. What a star Debbie Wells was - and to think she came from this little town without any competition to spur her on - just amazing talent.
Thanks possum bugs 43.

This cache was a little harder to find had us on both sides of the road but lucky Debbie was there for us.
Thanks for this cache, nice to learn where Debbie came from and wouldn't have known without geocaching An easy quick find, TFTC
This cache had us going around in circles for a couple of minutes looking over the structure. We were originally expecting an old train station based on the name.
Thanks for the hide possum bugs 43.

Found on journey away from the Mega. Today we are staying in Glenn Innes for a couple of days and have joined Shifter Brains for some caching and fossicking in the area. Not the kind of express we were expecting based on the name but we were pleased it wasn't a nano on a train! Great to see a local recognized in such a way.

Day four of my roadtrip with Jamin Appleford began at a great little roadside stop with a fantastic view over the valley. We continued making our way north towards the 2015 Mega event in Stanthorpe, QLD with Tamworth being our target for tonight. The main caches I wanted to find were ones that helped me to qualify for "The Well Travelled Cacher Challenge" in Moe.
With Clever Monkey behind us, this was the next stop. A quick Park and grab on the final stretch towards Stanthorpe..
Thanks to possum bugs 43 for the cache. TNLN

this one was quite amusing for me. liked the information on the cache page about the Emmaville Express, was searching to the sound of the house owner accross the road mowing his lawn. I was trying to hurry because i didn't want him to see me hovering so long. found the cache easy enough, signed the log, struggled to re roll it tight enough to replace then dropped the lid. typical. start scrabbling in the long grass and found a complete cache, so stole the lid from that one ( which had a new log in it) - it wasn't quite a perfect colour match so i went back to scrabbling in the grass. found the original lid so swapped it back, replaced the cache, having to re roll the log again! and took the found cache with me.
