tassietan and I are out for a day of caching. This is one of the few in the area she hasn't already found. It was a bit daunting when we got to GZ and read the hint!We widened our search bit by bit until the cache was in hand. Thanks Lil Rafa.

22-Nov-24
Im having a lovely day with RoadieM, caching around Penna and 7mile today. We wandered down the Tiagara Trail to find this cache. It was definitely RoadieMs day today as her geo eyes were spot on. We guessed it was a unique cache container, but not quite what we were expecting. Saw an interesting path and structure on the way back? Something to do we golf we suspected but bit of a mystery. Thanks Lil Rafa.

03-Oct-24
Were staying at the nearby resort for a couple of days, and we thought why not find some caches that are close by? This was a VERY devious hide! If there wasnt a massive spoiler in one of the previous logs, I doubt we wouldve found it, at least not fast! This was a nice creative container, nothing like Ive seen before. And to think almost every time weve stayed here, we rode our mountain bikes down this track having no idea this cache existed! TFTC robtas/Lil Rafa!

02-Oct-24
We tried to find it for the 2nd time couldnt find it

02-Oct-24
3rd try we found it

03-Sep-24
Did a post-winter maintenance run today. New log (sheet of rite as rain paper) added to cache. Old log sheets removed.

09-Apr-24
It took us a few minutes to find this one, we thought that the hint was a bit misleading. The cache itself was quite wet, and could use a plastic bag to protect the log which is also quite damp, we had run out of bags, sorry. Thanks for the cache Lil Rafa!

09-Apr-24
TFTC! A little wet but able to sign. Didnt have any spare baggies with us, but the cache could use a little plastic bag to protect the log next time the OC is passing. Okay for now. Found the cache on its back but returned it the right way up so that should help.Lovely place to come, easy walk, in all a fantastic little cache. Thank you!!!

09-Apr-24
Or well drop a bag in next time were passing, Lil Rafa! I just saw you are the person who has kindly adopted this one - thank you!!

23-Feb-23
A pleasant walk amongst te pines with a feeling of trepidation that this may be a difficult find. Approaching GZ the GPS was dancing around a bit but it did not take me long to stumble upon the hide.... much to my relief.

23-May-21
Was so damn close to giving up!! Seemed like a needle in a haystack type sitcho! My phone kept jumping around but mostly putting me on what turned out to be the wrong side! Luckily I persevered and walked away with my first smiley of the day!! Cool forest, enjoyed walking around in here with lots of black cockatoo squawking about! Cheers for bringing me here

05-May-21
Found it reasonably easy

17-Apr-21
Nice ride

22-Feb-21
Way back on 2 Jan 2020, i grabbed a number of cool hides in this area but just couldn't find a way to this one so i abandoned it. Curiosity got the better of me this morning so i studied a way to it. It was found and today, Monday the 22nd of February 2021, i was on my way to it on foot Wink

It was found pretty much straight away and it's log was signed even quicker due to the Volatile Aggression of the Africanized Mozzies here [:o] Big Grin
I was literally swatting them like flies as i was trying to sign the log. I escaped with only a few bites... [B)] phew!

The log within was moist but the 'Write In The Rain" type quality paper meant for a simple wipe away of the moisture and signing the log was like it was dry [^]

TFTC Lil Rafa

(That annoying green box on my map here for over a year is now a Yellow Smiley Smile
Found my way back to the GeoMobile much quicker thanks to a forest-track that i discovered Wink)

02-Feb-21
New waterproof logsheet added. Please make sure you byo pen for signing the log.

01-Feb-21
TIAGARA TRAIL was transferred from robtas to user Lil Rafa

12-Jan-21
Wow...this took a longer time than expected to find. In the end, a fairly traditional well camouflaged hide...you just need to look in the right place. following hints in the activity log I knew what I was seeking...just had to trust the coords and make the find. A nice bike ride into this nice spot. TFTC

17-Dec-20
This one is within walking distance of my place so today I dropped by and replaced the full log sheet with a couple of pieces of 'rite as rain' paper, so all good to sign the log now.

16-Dec-20

10-May-20
Today, amid a bout of COVID19-induced "cabin fever", we decided to get out and do a bit of government-permitted exercise. Rather than go for a walk around the block for the umpteenth time, we decided to head just a little further afield, to Seven Mile Beach.

This was our first cache of the day, and what a great way to start! Despite being through the area many times over the years, we had no idea that the pine forest reserve was hidden there! It's a great place, with all the different paths to explore! As we've noticed elsewhere lately, the area was packed with muggles, all exercising in one of the limited number of places not shut down at the moment.

After a lovely wander among the trees, we soon found ourselves at the GZ. We were presented with a bit of a conundrum: there was certainly a great number of potential hiding spots! After about five minutes or so of digging around, we eventually had the cache in hand though.

Thanks for introducing us to an interesting new area! We'll have to come back another time and explore some of the other paths.

Spent a long time looking for this. Found just as i had decided to give up. Then it hit me in the head like a rock! Turned over something and saw a familiar type of hide.
Logged and returned.

02-Oct-19
We had a lovely walk through the forest. It was a bit tricky to find as the gps was moving around a bit. But happy to find. Forgot our pen. Will come back agaib.

01-Oct-19
A beautiful place for adventure! Miss 7 was very proud of herself for finding this one!

23-Sep-19
Wow that was harder than it should have been. GPSr bouncing around, closer, closer, closer... Oh you've over shot it by 15m. Went to old logs, looked at hints, in a forest full of "not living trees" thought I was going to give up...then the GPS on phone kicked in right and there in plain sight GZ. TFTC

22-Sep-19
Mr bloopy used the force and memories of caches gone by. The bloopy kids were impressed with the cache. Cheers!

17-May-19
Maybe not such a porkchop after all..ha ha thanks Lil Rafa for finding this misplaced cache. When I logged the DNF I must admit feeling very disappointed after the very enjoyable walk and lovely quiet area around GZ. All good with the hide today it certainly wasn't what I was expecting the cache to look like but at least it is a nice easy find and a nice reward for a lovely wander through the pines. Thanks robtas for the hide

13-May-19
What a lovely stroll!!! Found fairly quickly considering the tricky looking area. Tftc.
Mum and the two little kids are taking the track back to the car while hubby and eldest are going through the trees to the resort. We are wondering who will get there first

12-May-19
Amazing spot- almost gave up so glad we persisted. Thank you!

26-Apr-19
This cache was out of place and has been returned to it's correct hiding place. I walk these trails with my dog fairly regularly and a couple of weeks ago walked past GZ, glancing at where I was expecting to see the cache but it wasn't there. Thought it was a bit unusual, and decided to check the logs for this geocache and noticed a few DNF's. Today the GeoGSP and I went for a stroll along the trails again for a closer look. The cache was found about 27m from GZ, and has now been returned to the place I found it a few years ago. Using my phone, this location showed a distance of less than 3m from GZ. Hope this helps future finders.

We spent way more than the suggested 10-15 minutes looking for this DR 1.5 cache. We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!

Perhaps a check by the CO to confirm the cache is still in place and if so, a check of the coordinates?

Thanks for the hunt anyway robtas.

23-Mar-19
That is why my name is.....there looked like a hide but nothing was there and didn't really match the hint so scratched a little further with no luck thanks robtas I will be back.

26-Apr-18
For a while, we thought there may have been another trail in the area that we had overlooked, but, no, it seems that it is just the cache owner trying to lead us astray, and that this is indeed part of the Tangara Trail that snakes throughout the area, stopping, starting, turning into a road and taking off again. We headed off from the fire station as it was a pleasant day for a wander amongst the Christmas trees, and may not have taken the most direct approach, but we ended up in the right place in the end. we were very appreciative of the hint telling us what the cache wasn't, as we could have wasted much time looking! Found, logged and we were soon on our way again. TFTC
