Had planned to meet a former colleague for lunch over in Leichhardt and decided to head over there a little early to find a few caches. Wandered over to Pioneer's Memorial Park after lunch to have a quick look for this one, not hopeful after so many previous DNFs. No sign of this cache, I wonder if the CO might be so kind as to check for us? Thanks!
Found this one a while ago came back for a second look. Pretty sure it's been removed.
Looked for about 10 minutes, couldn't find. One locked electrical box with three phase, one 240v unlocked electrical box. But no cache I could see
I suspect I found the cache, but there's a dead huntsman attached to it. As an arachnophobe who has suffered incredibly bad luck in that department recently I'm going to wait for someone else to deal with it (or at least discredit that location).

First try at this GeoCaching, must say a sucessful one.
Great hiding place and a great camo.
My son found it after guessing that the box did not look right and after I'd told him not to touch it thinking that it was part of the structure.
Guess I was wrong.

The thing you learn with cache. Saw some kids dancing in the park. Wonder if they knew they were dancing on someone's grave! LOL
I jumped off the bus to try my luck with this one as it had not been found for a while. Arrived minutes before the end of the school day....phew, just on time. Nicely hidden and always a thrill to find a camo.
The TB has not been logged properly, it should have been 'retrieved' instead of 'discovered' as it is not in the cache anymore.
Great park and interesting structure. Thank you for the history info and for bringing me here.

I like the clever camo. Tftc took photo and left geocoin In lieu of pen. Lots of planes a overhead today. Ty for an interesting cache
Geocache #850.
Found on Thursday, 19th September 2013 at 11:35 PM.
Conditions: clear.
Current streak #50 days.
Today's finds 5 of 6.
After footy training, Goughy2012 and I headed out to tackle a few caches (and we happened to get a little carried away, not getting home until the early hours of the morning… oops!). It was interesting learning about the original purpose of this site, TFTC Bells Angels.

Found at 11.35pm with JordsAU. After waiting for drunk teens to move on we approached the structure that housed gz. After a few careful. Searches we found the goods. Very clever little hide loved it. Tftc. And this cache marked no.201
Found on a lunch break from Leichhardt council. Kids playing very nearby but I think I was discrete. Fortunately an easy find. Nice park! Apparently Leichhardt has the lowest percentage of open space of any council in NSW, but this is one of the good ones! Thanks.
After an early start that also meant an early finish, I ended up 400 metres down the road from this one so decided to grab it before the drive home. Few people in the park despite it being school out time, and walked straight up to the hide and spotted it straight away. Nice easy one, thanks Bells Angels.
#2073- Garks and I had a small window of opportunity to grab this one before picking up his brother from a sleepover party. After a false start with the car GPS trying to send me up an illegal slip road, we found another way in. An easy find in a lovely park. Day 4 of caching month and lots of trees to be found. Thanks
The strangest thing about this cache was the 8yr old kickboxer practising in the middle of the structure while her dad walked her toddler brother around and around. Well, they were occupied elsewhere so we grabbed the cache. Thanks for bringing us here.
The final cache before heading for home and I got lucky and spotted it straight away.

My geocaching luck was good so far, so I thought I'd try another cache in the area. Drove and parked close by. It was after 2pm and the School kids were out. This was going to be a stealth mission. I walked over and started searching once I got to GZ. Hmm...not here, not there...
Then I tried another spot and with the hint narrowed in on a suspect. One lone School muggle was nearby, but I managed to check and found the cache. SL, took the TB to move on, LN. Great little hidden cache BA. I replaced it making sure I wasn't spotted. TFTC.

An electrifying cache that could wake the dead the proper lack of spearmintment- thanks!
25 years ago I worked near Leichhardt and one of the best things was lunch in the old italian cafes, Bar Sport and Bar Italia.
25 years later I revisited Bar Italia and it hasn't changed a bit. We used to call it "Cafe Hairy Hands". You'd order a focaccia and 3 minutes later it would come out this little opening to the kitchen on a plate held by a pair of hands reminiscent of Chewbacca from Star Wars. I have often pondered whether Chewbacca was an Italian name.
So after a delicious focaccia I had time for a cache or two. I had some luck and found this quickly.

A beautiful morning in the park with little ones, and a little diversion to spot this one. Despite lots of Muggles, most were focused on the playground and the kids had time to find. TFTC
Parking spot right opposite a sign for Pioneers Memorial Park, 3pm. Oh my meetings at 3pm so this had better be quick. Yes it was! Great camo. TFTC
(not too late for the meeting, no one seemed to care)

Never realised how big or how lovely his park was. Oh my! It's practically a runway too! Clever container.SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Found it on 13.3.13. This is a pretty nice number. Clever hide and camo.

Neat container, not short of a penny spent knocking this structure up. Great hide, SL TFTC
22/02/13 12:06 PM. Cache #450. Current streak: 166 days. Caught the Light Rail to Lilyfield and from there it wasn't a long walk to this attractive park. Coords are bang-on, making for an easy find, and have seen this type once or twice before. Laughed a little when I saw some minty breath strips in the cache, given the hint. Yes, not an RMS special. No time for Captors Germ nearby; that's for another day. Thanks BAs. }:)
TFTC Belle Angels,
Oh what long memories pioneers have.
I had a couple of hours to spare this morning and moved away from home to complete this cache on day 358 of my personal challenge leaving a few new ones close by for when I need them.
Visited a group of trackables helping me and learning about local caches.

Nice easy job at night with no muggles about. Definitely not minty and very good camouflage too... SL TNLN TFTC
Doubted I’d find parking on busy Norton St and lucky to find a spot in an adjacent street that actually brought me closer to gz and the right angle to spot the hide on approach. Left traveller with a mission to visit places with ghosts. Too big to leave at a cemetery cache earlier in the day but as there are so many unclaimed graves below my feet, this seemed just as appropriate. Last in a 21 caching day with a 100% success find rate.
Eaisy Find Using Iphone App (Its much more accurate than the garmin GPS) Meatal stick gave it away but otherwise good descise.
Located today at 12:10. Effective use of junction box in cache location environment. Contains note pad, smilie face and coin.
Great little cache. I confused some muggle children but hope it might inspire them
First ever find. Wasn't quite sure what we were looking for but feeling very satisfied for our first one ever! Thanks Bells Angels
An easy find during a morning detour to work in the area. I seemed to be the only person in the general area not either walking a dog or holding a coffee (or both!). Many thanks Bells Angels.
First find for my brother! We didn't get the clue but found it fairly easily TFTC
Fairly easy find but we didn't get the
Hint, perhaps it's an Aussie thing! Our last cache in Australia, flight back to the UK in a few hours

As we approached the GZ I figured it out 6 meters away. I looked at the map and it here me. TFTC. THANK GOD it's not minty fresh.
#10 of 12 for today.
Pretty well much found general area of cache by the description.
Whilst little miss geobrat & I were looking around the area, JustR located it.
There were a few muggles around, but, none too close as to see what we were doing.

A great park and an enjoyable find. Was interested about the history here too. Thanks BA for another great place with a well camoed cache - this is what caching is about. TFTC
Weird ugly structure, is it supposed to be an amphitheatre? Thanks for the cache. Second person to Getty this one today.
Had to wait out a few muggles walking their dogs before I could get to work. Quick find once I'd started searching, and nicely camouflaged. Interesting history of the place also.
TFTC!

I had a window of 30 mins and a phone with geo-app in hand - great opportunity to fish for nearby caches!
Without having anything to sign the log with, left a red sticker and took a photo of the log.
Please, let me know if it's not sufficient to claim the find!
Awesome location and a very clever hide! TFTC!

I really liked this cache, exposed, but hidden. Thanks BA, a fav point from me.
After a bit of a Geocacheing hiatus, found this one. In town for a morning meeting and thought I need a cache. TFTC.
Prior to reading the description, I immedeately attacked the electrical box....Oops!!...Found the cache soon after. TFTC!!

Brontes 9th Birthday Caching Adventure...out with Team Sunderland....what a beautiful park this is but such an unusual structure...we all started searching & Mr TS made the find...T4TC
As I approached the area, there was a group of seven school girls sitting in the sun, talking, checking their emails and texts, and occupying an area I wanted to search. I figured take a couple pictures of the area and look like a tourist. That trick eliminated all curiosity they may have had about me. A quick look of the area indicated a likely hiding place. Lucky me....that was the spot. SL TFTC. Greetings from Arizona, USA.
Knowing the craftiness of the CO cybermew3 and I walked straight up to this, great cache design

A crafty camo. On our way to the international geocaching day event so I dropped a coin relevant to another event. TFTC
Found today on a quick lunchtime caching mission with JYGE and fairbz.
