Visited today and container is gone, again. I think it's time to archive this troubled hide. The original concept (a camoflagued stick in a tree) was abandoned long ago and since then various other hiding spots have all been eliminated or muggled. As much as I enjoy visiting this lovely spot and wanted to share it with everyone, I think it's time to free up the space for someone else.
Another replacement for this problematic hide. This time, base of star picket on north-west bank. Enjoy!
Finally! Having been restricted to my LGA for soooooooooo long, I can finally get out in the worlds - up to a point. And this is pretty much the point! Not allowed to go much further than this.
On the trip down, I was hoping to grab a First2Find in Wollongong, but it was logged about 15 minutes before I could get there, so kept going to my target area.
Since my last physical find in August I had 10 Adventure Lab locations to grab, and grabbed all of them to keep the numbers - and a few souvenirs, ticking over.
So today, I went for a mix of Traditionals, Puzzles and Labs. Got most I went for but a few DNFs along the way - one or two probably due to impatience precluding a proper search.
And made my 8200 mini-milestone. Decided to make that the AL Bonus - in thanks for Labs keeping me going over the last 100+ days.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Too good for me today. Checked a few likely spots but nothing.
Probably still here - there are a lot of possibilities.
Causeway really flowing today.
Off to the next one.

There are so many good spot for a hide here but alas none of them contained the cache. I’ll be back…
I didn’t have much hope when I pulled up to the Gz and saw the high waters and read the recent DNF logs. I got out for a quick leg stretch and looked around a bit and found it in the second place I looked. TFTH
Looks like the area was heavily damaged by recent flood. GZ is covered in debris and logs
At GZ and where the hint led we found only debris from the last heavy rain but no cache. TFTC anyway.
We had DNFs here in August 2019and January 2020. In the area today and saw there had been recent finds so decided to stop by only to find CARNAGE AT GZ!!!! Not only was there water over the causeway but the flood marker was knocked down. See the photos. It also looked like the fence had been replaced since we were last here. Aside from all that we finally found the container.Yay!! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
After introducing the muggle brother to caching and converting him we decided we’d hit a few spots today. He had one idea of where it was and I had another....I was spot on.

Checked in on this one. It was findable but the object in question has been damaged. So I relocated it (again!) to a new spot with the same coords. New container, new log. Enjoy!
We saw there had been a find recently after we were unsuccessful on 17 August 2019. But still no luck for us. Will keep our thinking caps on. Cheers... Gaztek
No, nothing except rubbish, flood debris barbed wire and nettles. Looked for an hr .
No luck for us here today. We looked around a fair bit even though we had a pretty good idea of where we thought it would be. In fact, debris on the flood marker indicated that there had been water up to about 1.5 metres! Today there was just a very low flow over the weir. never mind, it’s a very pretty location. Cheers... Gaztek

Great spot, water flowing today!! Nice quick find, but we hung around a bit enjoying location. Shame nearby land is private property or we’d have set up a picnic. TFTC NS xo

The original hide idea of this cache was cool, but prone to muggling and damage. It's still a favourite location of mine so I have replaced the original idea with a simple nano nearby and updated the hint.

Redeemed ! Hubz found this fairly quickly today. Cannot fathom the idea of this cache and its placement as per cacher *deanotaz*. All the same I am always pleased to return to this fantastic location, it holds lovely memories for me when I was going to TAFE down here and would often come and sit down in this location before tackling Mac Pass, and I am pleased to finally tick this one off my list. I'm scratching my head as to why someone would want to dump wool here [:(!] SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. In a dither this morning as to what to do and where to go. Finally decided to head out to pick up some new caches in Bundanoon and then try our hand with some outstanding DNFs in an attempt to redeem myself and tick them off my list. Made our way down Mac Pass, and found four new caches in Lakeview Rd and two others. The weather as not too bad, a bit cold and windy, but pleasant enough for anything other than trekking any great distance.

Came to visit as I was passing by today. Found cache intact but in wrong spot. Replaced it in proper spot. As unfortunately often happens here someone has dumped a load of rubbish near GZ. None of it looks too worrying, just a bunch of bags of wool or something. Still, who dumps rubbish in a place like this? Happy to see the container has survived for a while this time though. Happy hunting!
started caching with my own account with my family. still getting use to the app =)

Nice spot but odd location. Currently the thing it is attached to is on ground. Not sure if this was always the case... tftc
Well we needed another find to keep the daily find streak running and this was it.
Thanks NationalSteel for placing this little cache above the water line in such a novel way.
Grand Cache count = 514 total consisting of 484 Traditionals, 17 Multi, 5 Mystery, 4 Earth and 2 Virtual.

Searched for a few minutes, then went closer to tree and looked and found, I loved this one.
With the GPS sending us towards the electric fence, thankfully the cache was found elsewhere. Pretty little spot.

OCW with delloro today around the Southern Highlands where we managed 32 finds. MrD was able to make the grab as it was not within my limits.

Had the pleasure of going with a mate from goulburn to cronulla for a drive via mossvale/wollongong up the grand pacific drive through the royal national park to the shire. Had a few stops along the way as he knew i have a geocaching addiction to feed.
Only a handful of caches today but as always enjoyed familar and new sights especially north of stanwell tops.

Out on a drive today up to the highlands thought i would check to see if anyone had found this one after our dnf. Thankfully CO had replaced it after recent flooding. Nice little hide. Thanks for the cache
Out on a drive with cullum68 to the highlands detoured to get this one after being replaced by co thanks for the cache national steel
Spent a while looking for this one but no find. Might have been washed away or removed when fence was replaced. Thankyou anyway
26/03/2017 -- DNF -- 2:45 PM -- As Arnie says "I'll be back."
It seems like it’s been ages since we last had really good weather for caching. Having a moment of cravings I've taken advantage of today's glorious hot afternoon to get out and about with hubz and the two sprouts. With petrol at a very much cheaper rate than home, it was an easy decision to come down here, cache and fill the car.
I have had such a wonderfully fantastic afternoon sleuthing our way around the back blocks of Albion Park and up toward the escarpment areas. Gorgeous green grass and awesome views, I sure was loving it up around here in places I have never been. Even though we had an after noon start we cached until the sun disappeared over the escarpment and with that headed home.
Too much debris around to attempt finding this cache, hard to get in and around it.

Called by here, it was dark and I noticed there was a large amount of sandy ground near GZ. I am not sure if it was caused by flooding or someone has been working here of late. My GPS was placing GZ near the fence. With the situation as I found it, I wasn't too sure where I should be looking and wondered if the cache is still there. I had a bit of a scout about and left.

First day ever of geocaching and had no luck finding this one, however there was loads of rubbish and bottles strewn all over the place, such a shame cause this is a nice little spot
What a difference a week makes. Especially when the CO is on the job with cache maintenance.
It was no hardship revisiting this place a week later, following maintenance by the CO. I also wore long pants this time just in case. After a bit of a fossick around I was able to locate the cache. Nice hide. I did the signing and replaced as found. TFTC National Steel. An FP for location, sneaky hide and good maintenance.

I was heading home after some work not far away. I enjoy driving these roads that run back into the escarpment among rolling green paddocks.
Hmmm a DNF ! I got "nettled" while having a good look around and fortunately didn't get "zapped" on the fence. But didn't come up with the goods. A micro in this location could be a bit tricky.

As per previous post. After having a good look we found nothing. Possible washed away.

Love the clever hide here. Did not love the stinging nettles and nacki22 discovered the electric fence by accident. GZ smells unpleasant and had some interesting muggles possibly living out of their car at that spot.
As it is holiday time, decided to have a 'geoday' with Halcyon123 and Happy Uke. This time we decided to try for some near my home grounds. Ended up with 7 finds out of 9 attempts, pretty pleased with that effort!!!
Our last find for the day, and a little more than we'd bargained for! We didn't know nettles grew in the Illawarra - we definitely do now!!! I also discovered the stupid way that the fence was electric. Apart from that, a clever hide, successfully found. TFTC, if not for the stings

Another instant find by aspitbiker on our way home from the orienteering in Wollongong. Clever camo and an interesting ford, so like many in northern England. TFTC
We were looking for a cache close to home for the 2015 souvenir, so we were very pleased to see that this had been re-activated. Great spot and no stinging nettles to speak of - thank you National Steel a nice way to end the caching year.
May have converted a muggle into a cacher while finding this one. All's well here.

I visited here on a whim to check on this cache and couldn't see it in position. But unfortunately there is evidence of something very unpleasant here and for that reason I am disabling this cache for a while. I don't recommend visiting the area, especially not with geokiddies, until the area has been cleaned up.
Took longer than it should to find this one - of course it had to be in one of the first places we looked, just didn't look hard enough to start with. Had to chuckle when Mrs H decided to see if the fence was electric! TFTC NationalSteel
