Today I went for a walk and looked for this one and soon found it. Thanks for the cache.
Today, we went up to Cradle Mountain and did the Crater Lake circuit. It was a lovely walk. Now, on our drive home, we are looking for all the easy park and grab caches on the way. This one took a bit of looking, but we managed to find it by seeing something that looked slightly out of place! Log was a bit damp but otherwise in good condition. TFTC DarknstormyImages!
Road closed beyond the ranger station today so off road tripping we go. Spitted jhopk56 and immediately knew what was going on. Lovely to meet you all - enjoy your trip. TFTF beautiful part of the world. We will be back.
TFTC! We are on a girls weekend at cradle mountain so we decided to have a look at a few caches.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we travel today from Strahan to Cradle Mountain. When we were almost there, we stopped to look for this cache. The cache was found quickly.**DarknstormyImages**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Today we are driving from Strahan to Craddle Mountain. Only a short drive so we have several stops for sightseeing and/or geocaching. Almost at our destination we had also a stop here to have some lunch. Excellent spot for it. Nice view and very peaceful and quiet. After our lunch we went looking for this cache which was quickly found without any problem. Thank you very much for this cache.
Took a significant walk from the hotel this afternoon to this location. Found the cache right away. Some dampness in the container but the write-in-the-rain paper was intact. TFTC
We kunnen terugkijken naar 2 mooie weken in Australi!NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to Australia for 4 weeks. We will go to Tasmania for the first week and then travel around on the "mainland" for 3 weeks. Along the way I'll meet my niece, I haven't seen her for 50 years. It will be a holiday full of experiences......Our cache goal is to visit different countries. So we fly back to Dubai and forth via HongKong. We would like to score an FTF in Australia. We do that in Tasmania Then the webcam caches in Adelaide and the old caches between Adelaide and Sydney. Then we end up at the Mega in Canberra. A full program which a lot of fun!Unfortunately, after 2 weeks we have to end our trip with an earlier return flight to the Netherlands. My mother passed away and we have to go back. We can look back at 2 beautiful weeks in Australia!
[9020] Holidays on Tasmania, day 8. Today, we had to move again, from Smithton in the Northwest to Cradle Mountain. It became mainly a coastal experience, with quite a few geocaches more or less close to the ocean. And it became my jubilee tour, as I logged my 9,000th geocache on the road. We enjoyed a walk on The Nuts and found some rather fresh geocaches as second or third team. This geocaches also contributed its share to another beautiful day in Australia! Last log for today, close to our next stay. TFTC!
Quick find on the way out of Cradle after 3 glorious days of trekking, peaks, waterfalls and lakes. TFTC
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.We stopped here briefly on the way to Cradel Mountain... and signed the guest book....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
After visiting Cradle Mountain, I stopped off to get this cache. With the help of the hint the black cache container was found. The hint was needed for the GPS cache GZ was out by about ~10m from the actually found location.
21229During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
A quick find from Mrs Shifter while heading back to camp after finding a few caches further afield. Thanks DarknstormyImages.
Found the case! Very cheeky location. Paper was wet so will need replacing. Didnt have any with us at the time.
Located with Ricardinho Another quick stop & find for RNZ on our way back to our accomodation from the Information Centre & Tassie Sanctuary at Cradle Mountain NP. Day 9 of our Tassie/Sydney trip and we are making our way to Moina from Strahan. A beautiful drive through the rain forest to Cradle Mountain, with the highlight being a side trip to Trial Harbour. The birdlife here was epic!!! Another awesome day exploring Tassie TFTC
We did a reconnaissance into Cradle Mountain visitor centre late this afternoon. But tomorrow is the day we will spend the whole day here.A quick find along the road here, TFTC Darknstormy.Day 9 of our Aussie trip and today we are going from Strahan to Moina, our base for Cradle Mountain. We stopped at a couple of small towns on the way through, but the wee gem for us was Trial Harbour, which is a pretty spot, was warm and sunny today and had some great birdlife.Another good day exploring what this cool state has to offer.

Quick find on our way out of cradle mountain. Weather was nasty today. This log was too wet to sign tftc from Perth wa
Heading to our hotel near Sheffield after a glorious day at Cradle Mountain. What better way to wind up the day than scoring some caches along the route home? No troubles here. Signed the log. Thanks
TFTC grabbed this on our way home after an early morning trip up and hike around to see the last of the fagus
On our way back from beautiful Cradle Mt. The hint made sense but I’m not tall enough or lithe enough and we couldn’t see it anywhere else
After a cold and rainy night, followed by a rewarding hike around Dove Lake with sunshine and blue skies, we left Cradle Mountain in a very good mood. Stopped here for a quick grab'n'go before heading further west. TFTC
Driving past I made a short detour to locate this cache. Cache and contents were in good condition.
A quick find while in the area to do the virtual cache down the road a bit. Lots of traffic going past and also got a funny look from a Parks and Wildlife ranger who drove down the side road. TFTC
A quick chilly find on a rather disappointing trip up here....didn't fancy leaving the bike and having to ride on a shuttle bus to get up to the top so turned the bike around and headed back down. TFTC
We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to Darknstormy for the generation of this nice cache Mainland Mayhem (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
The rests were replaced by a new film canister with a new logbook.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Took a while to locate this one. Eventually broadened my search and found it. Thanks.
Despite the light drizzle, I got out of the car and had a good look. And while initially found no geocache, I did discover a Decatur Georgia wallaby leg hidden behind a log. Paws and claws still intact but the flesh off the bones were gone.
I got back in my car defeated, had a quick look at some of the logs, and then ventured out to give it one more go.
Success! I found it straight away.
I didn’t sign the log because it was a bit of a mess. But I will send proof of the find to owner.
Cheers!

We had managed to tag along for a short holiday with muggle brother who had a couple of commitments in Tasmania, (from Vic) and after we also managed some time to explore, and today we were heading to Cradle Mountain, last time we were here it was before caching so great to have another reason to explore, TFTC and the fun
Came to Tasmania to hangout with my dad, found out there is alot of geocaches in Tasmania so we decided to find this one first, we we're going to find the one in King Billy but we we decided this will be easier than walking through that track again (the first time we went through it we didn't know about geocaching)
Too wet to go hiking so I went caching! First stop successful. Took pathtag. Log is damp and full but I didn’t have any paper with me. TFTC.
Aborted our search here due to the inclement weather. And by the way don't worry about wombat poo. It's leeches you need to be worried about. Found 7 while having coffees at the hotel. See pic in gallery.
We had a lovely foggy day at Cradle Mountain so didn't actually get to see it. Managed to make up for it though by finding this cache. Swapped Pathtags and headed to Strahan. TFTC Darknstormy.
Found the cache, put dry paper in with stamp on it.
The logs are wet.
Left a pathtag also.
