A trip up to do the Big Question Mark with OZGrumpy and Astro. The toilets are all gone, just a few pieces of broken porcelain now.
Thanks sunphyl for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #10849 on 9/11/2024 at 4:24PMThree of us headed north to collect a few smileys. Our target was the BigQ and also collect anything else we found along the way. Signed logs as TOAD (Team Ozgrumpy Astro doineedthis). A great day out, Thanks to all the COs for their time and effort.
What a great day it was. Working with quite few teams today the team name is siren seekers. Put a photo of all the names on here. Thanks for place these. What a fun day but now Im so tired. Connor_2011 was with me too. These were done while were doing sirens series and doing the ? Series
Headed out for a days caching, this stared with a CITO and continued on to the Siren of the Sea with a team of other geocachers with the aim to conquer this and other caches around. All caches signed S.S. TFTC
Having completed the Siren this morning we had time up our sleeve to collect the big question. Our route took us straight past this one, so we stopped here and made the find. Log signed as SS (Siren Seekers). There isn't much left of the history in this spot, but thanks for the description of the story. TFTC!
Well this one has certainly lost its charm. Quick find made still made and we were on our way.
The loo has been totally smashed. However, the cache is still there. We signed it and put it back but may need a bit of attention. Found with Sarge5556 tftc
The wc is blown to smithers, needs some attention by the owner, tftc with jeffner5556
Found it and replaced the full log. Sad to see the display is gone. Only one to pick. And I wouldnt use it
Just about gave up as the loos were destroyed. Checked some broken pieces at GZ and soon had cache in my hands. Quickly stamped and replaced. TFTC
Revisit for this one, and thanks to previous finders, was able to locate the little bugger. Nice to get the blue circle off my map!!. Tftc
Come back.
On the way to Adelaide, detour. Find it and sign the log as EV, and thanks for the cache and hunt.

Found during a circuit from Kadina, Alford and along the backroads through to Snowtown after attending the YP Cachers Catchup and YP Cachers CITO 2023 events earlier in the day. Thanks for the cache sunphyl!
TFTC. Day 8 of honeymoon caching trip. Headed in a northerly direction from our base of Wallaroo.
Happy caching and safe travels!

Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling in the YP. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
Out with iluvtrekking heading to Port Broughton and surrounds, picking up caches along the route. Wasn’t hopeful when we first arrived to see just scattered pieces of porcelain. After reading brisal5’s log, made a closer inspection and Lo and behold a cache. Thanks for the hide.
The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle solving group had us heading once again in search of solved puzzles and anything else we might be passing. Today it was myself, SA Sewer Rats and Astro. [:o)] Today we were meeting at the Rat's Nest before heading northwards towards our ultimate goal of reaching the new caches at Clement's Gap. There were the usual laughs[^], bad jokes, a couple of FTF's and some more DNF's to add to a list that should be shrinking and not increasing. [:(!] A big day out with me not getting home until 1.00 a.m. the next day and Astro even later.
Heading home after a meal of the Port Broughton Pub I just had to stop and find a few by torchlight. The others had found this cache and got me exciting about what was waiting for me. Nope.
The row of loos has been removed....yep all of them...except 1. And that is just a little pile of broken porcelain. Oh dear - I guess the cache is gone too. [:(!] Not so. A search of the rubbish left turned up a cache!
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks sunphyl for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We think this should be removed. There is nothing left of the display except broken porcelain. It is a hazard trying to park (with caravan) and to find no display is disappointing. We found the cache though and the house is beautiful, ??
Someone has smashed the toilet. Excited to do this but someone has smashed it
Today is a public holiday, I and J plus the little one travelled to Port Broughton for the Rubber Duck Race, but missed it. We tried some caches on the way, including traditional cache, multi cache, and letterbox hybrid.
This was the 11th cache we found today. I specially selected this cache to try, due to the high favourite points.
Parked near the listed location, and found the cache easily.
Not sure why there were so many favourite points, until I checked the photo gallery years ago.
Signed the log, and put it back. The container lid is hard to close.
Thanks for the cache, sunphyl.

I was looking for a place to go but somebody that exceeded the weight limit had been here before me. And sadly there wasn't much left of the facility, only a few broken pieces of porcelain. The inconsiderate person even stole the paper and the holder. And the plumbing. But thankfully they left the cache which was found after a dubious search. After dusting off the spider webs I managed to extract a log that was slightly brown and somehow left a shonky mark.
No way to flush so apologies to the next finder...

Today we cached between the Barunga Range and Port Broughton . The day was moving on by now, so we started to zig-zag around to the south , picking up caches in the farming areas in the general direction of home .
Unfortunately, the display has been gone for a couple of years now and we thought the cache as well, but searching further afield revealed the container .
TNLNSL.
Thanks for one more Sunphyl. Our last for the day [|)].

Out with geo hubby Animal62 on this very sunny but chilly Sunday, doing what we love which of course is GEOCACHING!
The cache was quickly located, the logbook signed & dated then returned to its hiding spot.

So we were all set to fly to Dayboro for the Queensland Mega this weekend. There hadn't been a case in Qld for a quite a few weeks before we decided to book in early Feb. What are the chances of a case causing a lockdown and closing the border we thought..So when it all did happen just 4 days before we where due to leave, we were royally peed off. So we had to cancel and find somewhere else to spend Easter. Pt Broughton was a last minute choice so here we are at the Broughton Bay RV park. After having brekkie in the Cafe and looking around the markets we headed out to do a few around the district. Sadley there wer only a few shards of porcelain at GZ along with a coulple of perished and broken toilet seats. Foiund the cache and signed the log..TFTC
Day 445 ( Monday 16th) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Bute today. Out this afternoon to get a few around the area. TFTC
Took off to the north today for a while with Sebastbat and Jack.
Went down some fast roads and some wild tracks.
Found your cache along the way!
Remember seeing a great plumbing display here once, sadly no more.
Found the tiny cache in the dunny remains
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache on our map sunphyl

This weekend, I joined gridge98 in a quick overnight trip to Port Pirie. The plan was to geocache around the town, and then head across through to Jamestown via Gladstone and Caltowie in order to find an unique hidden month oldie cache nearby. We then joined the geocaching community at the Goolwa dinner event.
Today, we made the drive from Adelaide to Port Pirie, but rather than taking the usual Port Wakefield Road, we used our spare time to detour through Bute and Port Broughton. We visited a few old churches before the rain hit, and then took the direct approach to Port Pirie for the dinner event. A few geocaches were then visited in the dark, targeting those that Laighside Legends had DNFs on previously.
What a shame that these toilets are no longer here! I perused this geocache's gallery to see how cool they were lined up, but unfortunately, the only remains are some smashed debris on the ground of barely one port-a-loo. I guess I can understand why this geocache had so many FPs back in the day. We found the geocache nearby, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks sunphyl for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today Davidwazza and I headed north to the port Pirie event. We didn’t have much time so only stopped for a few caches.
Stopped by this one and didn’t take the cache 10m from GZ

What a shame someone has smashed up the loo. Would have looked great on the side of the road. Found cache nearby but in the open so have re-positioned it in a safer spot. Thanks for the cache
Found a little way off GZ. Have repositioned it a few metres away from where we found it which was way too close to the road and in a very open spot. TFTC
Unfortunately the loos are gone. Went to do this today and this is what I found
I sat. I contemplated. I didn’t play with my phone.
Thanks sunphyl and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
This morning, the back farm roads from Port Broughton are the target. Everything is looking so green at the moment. Mostly Wheat, and some canola flowering in the distance.
What a strange and funny place. We picked the right one, obviously, and signed the cache. Thanks for a fun cache sunphyl

Luckily none of the geo animals need to use any of these.

Another Wednesday wandering for three animals. The goal today was to get to Pt Broughton finding a few caches along the way.
A quirky cache!!! Lots of puns were used here by the animals then it was back to the serious business of caching.

Once more a menagerie of animals from the Puzzled Puzzlers set out on our weekly Wednesday Wanderings. Unfortunately the Starfish was not well so he was with us in thoughts and not in person. The KORF as the chauffeur for the day the plan was to pick up a few DNF's and numerous others that still required smiling faces on the map. A couple of DNF's turned to smileys and a few more DNF's added to the list.
A fun little spot that none of us needed, we had already visited in the nearby Broughton with our cuppa stop.

A huge weekend of geocaching with Mary from Aussie M & M. We got ourselves a lovely little cottage in Kadina and made this our base. So many caches and so little time we had to target certain ones that we felt were special enough to get a visit. As per normal we fixed any that needed some love so other could find them after us.
An interesting thing to have in your front yard.
Thanks to sunphyl from mogni

What an interesting story. A collection of loos and a breeding place for flies...looked in a lot of dirty toilet bowls and a blue tongue lizard scared the beejeezes out of me when i lifted a toy! Had a few laughs with the kids while searching. Tftc
We have commenced Part 2 of our holiday. Part 1 was Easter at Morisset and we came home to sort out some family business. Now we are heading to South Australia instead.
After 4 wonderful nights at Edithburgh we have headed off to Port Broughton for a couple of nights. We arrived early enough to set off for the afternoon picking up caches as they popped up. The inner workings have suffered in the weather so we have replaced it with a new tube but in the same outer container.

I looked around, took interest in items where the gps was leading but no joy. Couldn't find the hint anywhere so that didn't help.

Tftc great hide, learning so much about the country side, now we know why the loos are here, on the way home on a cold and wet day with chase & Alistair
Great cache hide.
On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.
Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. Repairs and replacement of broken containers, new log books and adding a new plastic bag here and there have all been part of the fun we have been having.
We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be.
My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.
A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

As we have just come from Cream Puff corner this is another perfect photo oportunity, the one I thought was the best is the blue one with the decorations on it.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

First cache for 2016, grabbed this one on the way home from New Year celebrations in Adelaide. Been here before but could not find the little bugger last time even with the hint. On my way to Port Broughton I stopped off to grab a few caches along the way. What an interesting place for a cache. I had never seen anything like this before.

After a thorough inspection, the Clan thought it missing, until Winter nutted out the clue - checked the one we thought it would be, but couldn't find..... Until arcticfox found the other one. A little soggy, but log signed and returned. Great hide! Before geocaching, we used to drive by all the time, marveling at the slowly expanding collection. Great site!
