Spotted the clue in the description so had a fairly good idea where to look - though this is my second time here. A bit of help from the CO had me straight on it this time (I'm sure I already tried there!) and at his request I have removed the cache to return to him. TFTC N!mrod
Could not even begin searching at GZ as tennis coaching sessions were in progress all around us! Had a quick glance at the area and decided that a proper search was impossible, especially knowing it was a sneaky hide! We will come back next time we are in Methven. Rodney and Iris.
Yikes! when I saw all those stars I thought this was going to be a tuffy, but I found it in the first spot I looked. Love it when that happens. Just managed to find a spot to sign, but as already noted a new log sheet is required. TFTC
Certainly an evil little N!mrod nano (now to which noun do the adjectives apply?), however we managed a quick find in a deserted area this evening. The log is completely full, but we squeezed in a “W”. TFTC

A good quick find today as the place was not as crowded as on an earlier visit. TFTC
Ninth find for the day. Excellent hide!!! Love it!!! Have found some similar. The log book was fall so couldn't sign it. Thanks so much for this great hide!!
A great way to spend Christmas Day. Introduced a friend to GC today and he came along for the ride. With Streetch.
The rating put us on high alert and rightfully so. Evaluation of GZ and likely hiding spots showed us the way. We took to the Rakaia way and fished the cache out of its hiding place. Nice one. TFTC
We had to spend a bit of time reading the "pavers" while waiting for the tractor driver to turn the other way when mowing the grounds. He gave us a short interval to find the cache then we had to wait again to return it but managed it in the end. TFTC.
We saw this one had a good D level so had to check it out. It had been raining so there where were no muggle around. We got to GZ and did not like our chances. We let the GPSr settle and then headed to the likely area. A caeful search and a little something caught our attention. On further investigation we soon fished out the hide. Luckily we had an extraction log to remove the log. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Found with Schatzsuche after the NZ Mega event while touring around NZ in the campervan.
A quick find while staying in the Methvern Showgrounds/Caravan park for the night.
Luckily there were no muggles around this evening making for a reasonably quick find. This could be really nasty in netball season Love it

#1336 Found on a recent holiday to the beautiful South Island. It was one of many that we found in our most enjoyable 2 weeks there. Impressed with this one - searched for quite a while before finding it was where we had already checked (but obviously not thoroughly enough!). Thanks again for the cache N!mrod.
We almost gave up but Mrs Hotspud had another look where Mr Hotspud had checked and noticed the oddity - we used the "extraction tool" hanging on the wire fence to retrieve the log but found the paper very difficult to write on. Yes, very devilish!!
Just when I thought I had exhausted all possibilities, I read the logs again and voila.
A beautiful day for a drive! A quick find after lunch. Not a soul to be seen, just a few cars at the bowling club, thanks.
Success, no one here at all at 4pm on a Sunday?!?!?!?! Oh well, made for a quick find and sign. Cheers
Nice hide. Took a moment of contemplation, then it was easy after that. Luckily quiet as I can imagine this would be a challenge on the wrong day. TFTC. Fun and a bit different
Found with Balded, TivaNZ & Wombles BBT. It must be our lucky day as it was found really quick. Thanks

After compleating the Thompson's Track Series, and still in the company of BaldEd,La Vista & TikvaNZ,we came here and it was found quickly.TFTH
The cache didn't take very long to find but the log extraction took far longer than any of the times it took to find and replace any of the preceeding 84 caches found today! Found on a boys' day out with TikvaNZ, Wombles-BBT & the male half of La Vista. Thanks for the cache.
Like others, more trouble with the log than cache, locals not very observant then? nice one.
Cheeky little hiding area, found it after a while though, happy to find a difficulty 4 on our first ever day of geocaching!!
Having spent a long time previously looking for a similar style hide, I had a pretty good idea when I saw the facility.
Thanks

No one at GZ when we found this, drove past 5 min later and there were about 10 people right at the Geospot. TFTC.
Out and about for a mornings adventure with Mrs G. Completed the power trail along Thompsons Track...and had a wee bit of spare time before needing to head back to CHCH, came out to Methven to try for a couple more. Nice wee spot. Luckily for us the place was empty. Quickly cornered the cache, signed returned & moved on. 43/53 for the day! Cheers.
TFTC. A quiet stroll about this well resourced rural sporting facility resulted in a big smile from me.
Quick find in the dark with a good torch. TFTC.

Worth the trip. It is not often we score on a D4. Muggle Central at 3:30pm. Children ignored us completely, which was just as well. Thanks for the little series.
Was more worried than I needed to be in finding this one. In the dark would be a lot harder.
