Managed to get by today and the cache is gone. As it was a specific container for the specific space and I have no more of the same type, I am archiving this cache - sadly as it was a well visited spot
Just have to find the time to get over here and check, because someone found it and emailed me, and may have returned it, but not sure and time is not my friend right now. Will check asap.
Late to log as happens when travelling. Found this with Vombatus 2 on our whirlwind visit whilst on a cruise. TFTC
We read and we read and we read. And went in and read som books. And we read. And we logged the cache. TFTC!
Found it with SherlockJr on our last day in Dunedin. We really enjoyed staying in this town, nice people, several nice parks and a lot of nice geocaches! TFTC!
Second attempt on this one, I'm embarrassed about not finding it the first time I looked a while ago. TFTC
#847: First day in Dunedin and started the day off with a geocache and a visit to the Otago Museum. Not many people around at this time of the morning.
Geodaughter - Ferris07 and I were in need of a bookshop, and so we combined it with a caching experience in Dunedin. Found the hide and loved the bookshop. Thanks for the cache Castlewood_crew.
Had to give up on this one last time, there was just to much muggle activity. Retrieved the cache late last night, signed in my car and had just put back the cache when a muggle on a skateboard came hurtling around the corner. By the look of him I doubt he would remember what he had for breakfast.
Must have walked past in a million times before hearing about geocaching, simple find though.
Found 9/1/13 @ 3:15 pm. Great store. Hats off to Jan. This one struck home with me being an avid cyclist. I've had many close calls too. Cheers for the cache.
I remember years ago when I was a student at Otago uni my lecturer telling us about this accident he witnessed. Nice to see a plaque. TFTC

Quick find. Late in evening and not many students about now, good time to go and get this great hide. TFTC #78
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We went for a walk around town, and soon found ourselves at this one. A quick find in the end

Easy find but being cup day I had to be careful with all the drunk muggles around. They probably would not have remembered it the next day anyway
We found this one while our ship, the ms Oosterdam, was ported in Port Chalmers, New Zealand. We rode a shuttle bus to the bustling city of Dunedin. We had a great time roaming around this cool place. We loved this spot. Thanks for the cache!
My apologies for the lateness of this log. I'm back in Dunedin for a few days and only now realized I'd missed logging a few finds after a cache raid with Rosmar and FMZ during the NZMega event. Seemed like I was a yoyo in and out of the car.... They dropped me at about 3AM.... I had to cleanup a few the next day. This one grabbed my attention cause I'm a reader!
Thanks for placing this cache and adding to our fun. It's a player driven game after all.

Was having a look at my new GPS at a cafe nearby and saw this was not far away. As an avid reader this was a must find cache and then I read it was in memory to a cyclist and I spent much of my youth with a bicycle as my only means of transport in cities such as Christchurch, Palmerston North, Wellington and even Auckland. Thanks for the cache may he always be remembered.
A cold and wet Dunedin afternoon for our last day caching here with the Walenators. A quick find on our way back to our accomodation for a warming beverage. TFTC

Have loved UBS since my first visit nearly 20 years ago. Quick find near a sad story.
Out for our last day in Dunedin. The Mega over, many teams returning home.

Was in Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with fozzmiester and agcnz on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 3 of the road trip.
After attending the Mega, GC35TTR - NZ MEGA 2012, this was the next cache that we had on our list that we needed to find today. We needed to go out and find a few more caches as we had just left the Mega after having dinner and attending the prize giving as well.
As we neared GZ we managed to find a nice parking spot not too far away from GZ and once we got out of the car it was a quick easy walk over to GZ, we managed to find the cache very quickly in the first spot that we looked, retrieved signed and then replaced the cache back as found. Thanks Cumbyrocks for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (5054). Was a bit of a shame as to what happened to Jan Breward, very sad indeed.

We took a slight detour on the way back from obtaining the final coords for the WhereIGo and made out way to GZ. On arrival, the safety in numbers principal came into play and the find was made by gunnie69 without looking too much like we were looking for anything.
Day 4 on our caching trip to Dunedin for the NZ MEGA 2012 event with Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ozibags, Ghostgumsand MrMeccano. The morning was spent wandering the Flagstaff hunting in the mist & rain, rambling and plundering. After the CITO event, the afternoon was spent starting at the Octagon and heading through North Dunedin, around Forsyth Barr Stadium, University of Otago and heading out towards Leith Valley.
Sorry about the late lo but almost caught up now

At GZ, we found a painter hard at work. However, we were able to retrieved the cache without problems. Some explaination on Geocaching generally made his day. SL TFTC

Arrived at GZ to realise:
a.) your exposed to plenty of muggles in & out of premises as you search
b.) hiding places are limited but refer to a above...
Gunnie soon had container in site as some group sleight of hand was employed in retrieval & replacement - would have been soooo much harder caching solo.
Log was quickly logged and we drifted away..

During our 22 day trip in new zealnd we have found a daily bunch of caches
We have done all of them with the four belgians - fieldi, team cabdriver, fonduvork and me.

We took a slight detour on the way back from obtaining the final coords for the WhereIGo and made out way to GZ. On arrival, the hiding options were minimal and it was only a couple of seconds before I spotted the container in its lair. The GPS was a little bouncy and the others in the group had overshot GZ but the find was secured... [^]
Extraction was timed so we were not in view of anybody and to make it easier, the official business part was conducted in situ. The container was dropped back into place and we moved on. Nothing to see here...
Found with fellow Queensland hunters Kaisho53, OziBags, TheFourBees, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano.
Cheers Castlewood Crew.

Day 8 of our N Z Mega Event adventure - we awoke to another day just right for caching and sightseeing. We had no difficulty locating the cache and with the log quickly signed, it was now time to jump into our cache mobile to see what other caches we could find for the day. Thank you for having placed the cache Castlewood_Crew
Came here with fozzmiester and Yeetrees on a day's caching around Dunedin while here for the MEGA event. A quick find - signed log, TFTC.

Arrived at GZ to find a fellow painting the wall at the front of the shop. He wondered what we were doing so explained the game. I think he would definitely find the cache with what he was doing. He did explain he had already water blasted the area so I was pleased he had not dislodged the cache. He was quite amazed at the game. We signed the log, talked to a few fellow cachers and we were travelling again. Thanks Castlewood Crew for another great little hide.

Went for a nice caching tour in New Zealand. Heading to MEGA this weekend. We like caching in the woods. The weather was rainy. Thanks for the great adventure.
Boy, what a great collection in the window! I could have done some serious damage to the credit card in there, but contented myself with the cache - found with RexTrex, Zsazsa7, Sol de Lune and Fitzy. Thanks Castlewood Crew.
Easy find on a cold, wet, spring morning in Dunedin. Found during the 2012 NZ Mega. Interesting plaque just near GZ. TFTC
A neat little find after attending the CITO Event and before heading out to the Mega Event site to check in. Really enjoyed the location for this one. Fav point added.
Found with fitzy_1965, Winglen, ZsaZsa7 and our NZ caching mate Rextrex on our 8 day trip to NZ for the Mega Event. We visited many areas, found some great caches and had a great time.
Many thanks to all cachers for yet another find in NZ.

What an unfortunate incident that the plaque commemorates. Would have loved to have spent a few hours in the book shop, alas on a caching mission.
Nicely done Castlewood Crew.

We arrived at GZ and I got distracted right away. I was busy reading about Salman Rushdie when Chocochunk yelled out for me. I walked on over to him and he told me to find the cache. He moved his eyes some to give me a hint. Got it. Chocochunk just made the grab when we looked down the street to see the Belgians coming! They were here for the Mega and making their way around the south island. We all chatted and signed the log and were on our way again.

Out and about on a MEGA cache raid with the FMZ team. Early morning find so the place was deserted and we were free to search TFTC.
A shared find with my Aussie caching mates Winglen, Zsazsa7, Sol de Lune and Fitzy-1965 as a part of the NZMEGA2012 experience and our subsequent tour.
I definitely agree with sentiments of the cache name. Also appreciate you placing this cache in memory of your friend. Thanks Castlewood Crew.

Grabbed this cache whilst travelling with highrod & Kinkell1 & taking in the fantastic views around the area... What an absolutely beautiful country to explore and photograph...

A bibliophile's dream placement! I wish I had been here on a weekday ... or maybe not. It already cost a lot to be here fromSydney for the Mega weekend.
5460 + 591 = 6051. Day 2 of my week long visit to the New Zealand South Island for the NZ Mega 2012 event along with Sol de Lune, Zsazsa7, Winglen and RexTrex.
Now that the group was finally together after some problems with Flights it was time to start some serious caching ! We went for a walk around central Dunedin then attended the CITO. After that was over we grabbed this cache as we widened our search throughout the city. Nicely hiden in its hidey hole. Thanks Castlewood Crew !

Nice hide. Our gps was giving gz 30 to 40m away as well. Strange signal interference here.
Was looking for a while- in the wrong place- while under the watchful eye of someone nearby. Was about to give up and hop in the car when the stranger waved the cache in the air! Didnt get his caching name, but he was a nice bloke from Victoria- Didnt even mention the test last night! Cheers mate

Found as part of the Gangsters- The Rats, Farmer Frentzen and Big Matt and Shell- as part of our NZ Mega Event Tour 2012.
Big Matt actually spotted this one on the ground and obviously not where we thought it should be. We replaced it where the hint matched. TFTC!

Found this cache as part of the Gangster's Aussie assault on the first NZ Mega with Big Matt, FarmerFrenzten and steeba.
This was a cache by chance, after checking all the likely spots we spotted this one in the gutter near GZ. We returned the cache to its probable hiding spot.
Thanks

Today it was just Suly1 and I to grab a few caches and learn and see a bit more of this beautiful town.
Despite the forecast, the weather held up once again, and we had a great day finding some clever and simple hides, but all were a joy to find.
Thanks castlewood crew, very sad story.

Found with bogonghazy whilst in town for the Mega Event. We had a great few days caching around Dunedin, and the weather was perfect, even though some places were quite muddy underfoot. My Thanks to the CO for the placement of this cache, and for bringing us here today.
Found during 'The Gangsters' trip to New Zealand, being Big Matt, The Rats, steeba and myself.

1686th cache found by WazzaAndWenches.
Waz and the Wenches are in Dunedin for the NZ Mega Event over the weekend.
We joined with The Morris today then split our two teams into halves so we could legitimately cache in two places at once.
We managed to find this cache without attracting any undue attention. It was clearly visible as we approached and their were very few muggles about as it was a Sunday.
Thank you Castlewood_Crew.
