A GR8 adventure with seven other GR8 geo-mates, during our King’s Birthday Long Weekend Geocaching Retreat, as we drive the Mid North Coast Wander. Such beautiful country up here. What an effort to keep this series going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all involved.

Great day out working with the team from Sydney (signed as GR8) working on this series. It’s been a long time coming to find these caches and I appreciate the effort of placers and CO for keeping these caches going.
With a trip planned for the Coorabakh National Park on Saturday for some geocaching, I took the chance to head up that way a day early, finding a few caches on the way.
A nice quick early morning find.

Changing accommodation today so we decided to grab some caches and see the bird tree and show the rest of the family the view from No.7 Middle Brother before we could check in. Then it was off to find lunch and a park. TFTC
I try and get more of this series done each time I visit Port Macquarie. Thanks for the amazing effort that goes into creating and maintaining this trail.
Thanks for a fantastic series showing a beautiful part of the country. TFTC

On this long weekend we started the Mid North Coast Wander series. We did only 47 caches in Middle brother NP and Coopernook state forest because of some car issues but we will be back to finish the series. We really enjoyed the track with some nice lookouts.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob to bring us on this track and all the interesting place.

Nice easy place to park and conduct a short search for the cache. There were a number of possible places to check, but it didn't take long to see which was the most likely hiding spot. I was beginning to wonder whether it would have been more fun to do this trail on a bike instead of in the car. Part of the issue was to buckle up my kid every time we made our find, and then get him out of the car every few hundred metres for the next one -- he sometimes gets a bit annoyed with my caching and the stop-start of the process.
Anyway, log signed and time to find the next one.

Spotted a few likely hiding places on approach. The cache was located in the very last one we checked.
Thanks for the cache

We started this series back to front from our earlier base in Wauchope, and now that we have moved on to stay in the Kendall Showgrounds we decided that it was time to start at the beginning. A scenic drive is a great way to explore bits of the countryside we wouldn't otherwise have visited, and it's great to pick up caches as we go.
Another nice pullover for another nice find. Bit of a breeze today, makes it seem cooler!

Out for a family caching day to boost our numbers. Started with brunch at bent on food then off we go. A quick find.
#3927 (3 of 25 today)
First full day of my short trip to Port Macquarie. This is my opportunity to grab a stash of caches all day while the Geowife does her crafty things.
Found 25 including the first eight of the Mid North Coast Wander (was only willing to push the non-4WD mugglemobile so far) and a selection of other caches in around Port.
Actually beat her back to the motel by 10 minutes - and she had the key! Then out for dinner at Flynn's Beach.
A good day.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well that's encouraging - council maintenance of the road ends...
Huge parking area here, and a quick look around uncovered the cache.
Grabbed the trackable.
OK, keep going...

Found it on a drizzly Wednesday while in the area and hoping to finish this series. From caches 1 to 12 I didn't see another car. And sometime past that I picked up a leech (unknowingly), still bleeding after 4 hours. Thanks to all the people who set this series up and maintain it so well. A quick find thanks to the hint. TFTC
We are so close to 1000 caches so we wanted to grab quite a few today.
TFTC!!!!

Find #917
On the homeward leg now, after spending the weekend Mid North Coast wandering and camping at Diamond Head. Yesterday we ran out of time to get MNCW 001-009 done, so planned a diversion from the highway on the way home. Little did we know at that time that a much bigger diversion was in store....
Thanks for keeping this trail great.
Another find by our youngest team member Oliver.... all nice and dry.
