Find#2593Have been planning a trip up to Kempsey to have a look at the slim dusty series. After my birthday yesterday I wanted to grab these caches with Shaneo58 today. Log and cache in great condition TFTC
Parked just off trig Rd and walked round to the bird tree. We did this as part of a training walk with 20kg packs on as we are finishing off the bibbulum track in WA in October. Only 345km and we have completed the 1008km walk. Thank you for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Streak Day #4005 - Out on a geocaching jaunt with Dave8153 and ws_cachers. Most were a quick find. TFTC
28/06/24This is find number: 9795Streak Day: 3116In the area this week and had some time to come out and find some of this series today. Found with Snoopy1976 and ws_cachers.Thanks to Mid North Coast Mob for placing and maintaining this cache.TFTC

We are heading up the coast to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria.
Out grabbing a few around this lovely area, while we are staying nearby.
The container was found after a short search, once at GZ.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Logged as GR8 for the Geocaching Retreat 8 cachers.
We drive as far as the road allowed and turned back here to do the first 9 in reverse.

Found with our GR8 mates on our King's Long Weekend adventure to the Mid-North Coast.
After thinking we were finished for the day, it was off for "just one more". Actually, it was just nine more!
This was the furthest we drove, as the road is blocked by a landslide. TFTC

A GR8 adventure with seven other GR8 geo-mates, during our King’s Birthday Long Weekend Geocaching Retreat, as we drive the Mid North Coast Wander. Such beautiful country up here. What an effort to keep this series going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all involved.

GR8 mob, On this kings birthday long weekend tour along the Mid North Coast Wander series, group find includes Team Canary, Brewmaker, EverestHigh, Calypso62, and ziggau.
A challenging series of 200 caches made fun with this group.

Great day out working with the team from Sydney (signed as GR8) working on this series. It’s been a long time coming to find these caches and I appreciate the effort of placers and CO for keeping these caches going.
TFTC! Stump was a little overgrown and was worried about sticking my hand in here
Again a quick spot for the location hinted at. Another red bellied black snake sunning itself on the road. Not keen to hang around here (actually surprised I had the guts to get out of the car). Cache found and off to the next.
TFTC a quick find along our journey. This was as far as we could cache along this road.
Path through from 9-10 closed due to land slide. Had to go the long way around. TFTC
Changing accommodation today so we decided to grab some caches and see the bird tree and show the rest of the family the view from No.7 Middle Brother before we could check in. Then it was off to find lunch and a park. TFTC
I try and get more of this series done each time I visit Port Macquarie. Thanks for the amazing effort that goes into creating and maintaining this trail.
Thanks for a fantastic series showing a beautiful part of the country. TFTC

On this long weekend we started the Mid North Coast Wander series. We did only 47 caches in Middle brother NP and Coopernook state forest because of some car issues but we will be back to finish the series. We really enjoyed the track with some nice lookouts.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob to bring us on this track and all the interesting place.

Found tyftc. Having a week caching our way from newcastle to brisbane. Find #1/1542
The thought of a billabong brought up images of lily covered waterhole to admire. This one did not have us yearning for a photo shoot, even if it is a strange place to find water. SL; TFTC
I overshot the little turn-off as we were making our way along this trail. I reversed a short way, but then decided to go the rest of the way on foot after finding a safe place to pull over. The trail isn't that wide, and I didn't want to encounter another vehicle coming towards us from behind as I was reversing.
I followed the side track and read the hint ... that was a surprise to me. I see the name of the cache, but nothing out here looked like there would be a bit of a water hole. What a nice surprise when I spotted the billabong among the trees. Who would have thought.
The search didn't take too long and soon there was another cache signed for, with one of my signature small wire dogs to guard the container from within.

Found with Key_Tat and Viper_101... I imagine there would be a lot of mozzies here in summer... TFTC.
An enjoyable but very wet caching day today, picking up one of the remaining sections of the MNCW.
Another quick find here in the obvious spot.
Thanks for the cache Mid North Coast Mob

We started this series back to front from our earlier base in Wauchope, and now that we have moved on to stay in the Kendall Showgrounds we decided that it was time to start at the beginning. A scenic drive is a great way to explore bits of the countryside we wouldn't otherwise have visited, and it's great to pick up caches as we go.
Plenty of signs of early logging as we travel the road. We can see where notches have been cut into the trees to place the planks to allow cutters to climb.
Another good find.

Out for a family caching day to boost our numbers. Started with brunch at bent on food then off we go. A quick find after sliding around the corner in the mud.
5303. Found with Relish64 while in the area. Another random sampling exercise for us with this series and a quick find.

Found with gangstella and family on a trip to the Bird Tree today. How random to find a poll pig water up here. Very cool spot.

Found it on a drizzly Wednesday while in the area and hoping to finish this series. From caches 1 to 12 I didn't see another car. And sometime past that I picked up a leech (unknowingly), still bleeding after 4 hours. Thanks to all the people who set this series up and maintain it so well. A quick find thanks to the hint. TFTC
We are so close to 1000 caches so we wanted to grab quite a few today.
That is a really cool body of water.

Find #923
On the homeward leg now, after spending the weekend Mid North Coast wandering and camping at Diamond Head. Yesterday we ran out of time to get MNCW 001-009 done, so planned a diversion from the highway on the way home. Little did we know at that time that a much bigger diversion was in store....
Thanks for keeping this trail great.
Nice billabong, we were on snake alert around it.... Easy find here, cache in good order.

We found 22 caches in the Mid North Coast on our way home from Diamond Head today. TFTC!!
Just loving this series, has certainly lived up to expectations, fancy this little billabong up here. Getting a "feel" for the hides as well, log signed as a joint effort with Alison T
Rain has set in to a steady drizzle now, using a rain jacket when either of us get out, it helps. Easy find.
Very nice area but sometimes i had some problems with my camper but i enjoyed the trip.
3 1/2 years after doing the coastal portion I though it was time I finished the mountain section of this Mid North Coast Wander.
Some neat hides, great views and areas to explore.
Some pretty rough tracks in places and even the odd mud hole to contend with.

Found this one quite a while ago. Second attempt But didn't log as we were going to come back to finish the wander series. We will come back and finish one day soon
TFTC, I will use a generic log for this series and go into more detail at the final mystery cache. Attempting this long and looks like amazing series in stages and in no particular order. Should be fun.
Travelling back to the Sunshine Coast from Sydney I decided to grab a few of this series to break up the long drive.
Continuing along the road I was soon at the next in the series and once at GZ it was a quick find.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.
This was the last in the series for now and I look forward to returning for the rest.

Day 1 of a 2 day trip away with Seemyshell to Harrington area to do the MNCW.
What a brilliant trail..... it's like 3 trails in one with all of the different sections; mountain, ocean, bush. Love it! Thanks for all of the effort involved in setting this out and maintaining the trail so well.
