A GR8 adventure with seven other GR8 geo-mates, during our King’s Birthday Long Weekend Geocaching Retreat, as we drive the Mid North Coast Wander. Such beautiful country up here. What an effort to keep this series going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all involved.

Found while out and about on the trails. This was the furtherest one we could get to today.
On this long weekend we started the Mid North Coast Wander series. We did only 47 caches in Middle brother NP and Coopernook state forest because of some car issues but we will be back to finish the series. We really enjoyed the track with some nice lookouts.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob to bring us on this track and all the interesting place.

Found tyftc. Having a week caching our way from newcastle to brisbane. Find #1/1552
We were looking out for the bear that could have been hibernating in this hidey hole SL: TFTC
Fortunately, a quick stop and a cache that we could almost walk up to directly and grab. I know that was the intention, too. I just wish I could have taken more time on this trail to have a look at more things: the trees, the mushrooms and the birds come to mind. Next time I drive this trail I'll have more time and will take it easy.
Anyway, we were on a good roll and every cache that we had attempted sofar had been where the GPSr had taken us and had been in good order. No different here, so I was able to complete signing duties and put the container back quickly so that we could proceed to the next one.

Found with Key_Tat and Viper_101... geo-son could nearly walk into this hiding space... TFTC.
An enjoyable but very wet caching day today, picking up one of the remaining sections of the MNCW.
Another quick find here in the obvious spot.
Thanks for the cache Mid North Coast Mob

We started this series back to front from our earlier base in Wauchope, and now that we have moved on to stay in the Kendall Showgrounds we decided that it was time to start at the beginning. A scenic drive is a great way to explore bits of the countryside we wouldn't otherwise have visited, and it's great to pick up caches as we go.
My mum used to call these trees Aboriginal trees, and said they where where the aborigines carved would for their humours from.

Out for a family caching day to boost our numbers. Started with brunch at bent on food then off we go. Found quickly
Found it on a drizzly Wednesday while in the area and hoping to finish this series. From caches 1 to 12 I didn't see another car. And sometime past that I picked up a leech (unknowingly), still bleeding after 4 hours. Thanks to all the people who set this series up and maintain it so well. A quick find thanks to the hint. TFTC
The final cache in the 200 series for me (as you can tell, i didn't complete them chronologically). Quick find. Tftc!!!! #951
Tftc. Another find for us today. Left some shells and a toy birdman, tnsl and continued on our way.
We are so close to 1000 caches so we wanted to grab quite a few today.

Nice change from the stumps. Alison T found this one while I was still wandering over. We have been finding equal numbers and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Would never have come up here if not for geocaching.
Find #892
We spent this weekend Mid North Coast wandering, spending the night camping at the great Diamond Head Campground. We had a great time driving and exploring the areas we were taken to, and managed 58 finds over the weekend, with only a single DNF. Our third trip up here for the MNCW, we'll need another weekend to complete it yet! Thanks to the Mid North Coast Mob for their hard work in keeping this trail great.
With the mercury bumping up to 33 degrees, and the winds howling, we ventured into the Middle Brother section of the wander.
Nice hide....

We camped at Diamond Head today, and found 35 caches in the Mid North Coast on the way. TFTC!!
Very nice area but sometimes i had some problems with my camper but i enjoyed the trip.
3 1/2 years after doing the coastal portion I though it was time I finished the mountain section of this Mid North Coast Wander.
Some neat hides, great views and areas to explore.
Some pretty rough tracks in places and even the odd mud hole to contend with.

Found this one quite a while ago. Second attempt But didn't log as we were going to come back to finish the wander series. We will come back and finish one day soon
TFTC, I will use a generic log for this series and go into more detail at the final mystery cache. Attempting this long and looks like amazing series in stages and in no particular order. Should be fun.
Day 1 of a 2 day trip away with Seemyshell to Harrington area to do the MNCW.
What a brilliant trail..... it's like 3 trails in one with all of the different sections; mountain, ocean, bush. Love it! Thanks for all of the effort involved in setting this out and maintaining the trail so well.

So I had been complaining on many of our caching trips that I really must get new shoes as I have no tread left at all. Well getting out of the car and nearly doing the splits on the loose rocks only proves my point
Headed down to where the cache looked to be hiding, but it was dark :O - did I really want to put my hand in there.....
Cache retrieved and log signed. Now to battle back to the car with this crazy shoes.
Found in the company of Ozglory.
Thanks for going to the effort of this series

having a family day out and what better way than to go treasure hunting with the grand kids and their mum and dad. Today we all thought we would start the MNCW . Thank you so very much for placing and maintaining this cache, sl.
Spent several days in the region as part of attending an awesome geocaching camping event with cachers from all around the region. Cheers to the Browngang for their amazing work! We had 3.5 days, 63 caches, met a bunch of new friends, had way too many drinks, and encountered a dozen leeches, a brown snake, and a heap of less squirmy wildlife, and even saw a future EarthCache being created. Not to mention the DNF due to police removing the cache! What an amazing weekend.
Day 3, and the focus was on getting home after a big few days of camping and walking, and with very tired kids in the car it was unlikely we were going to do much caching. And yet somehow we convinced ourselves to head back up into the mountains from the beach.
Another quick find. TNLN TFTC

Found yet again with those two hangeronerers Gazkersh and Tilly Very good hide for a nice sized cache! Signed log. TFTC guys!
Me and champ (boxer pup) decided to put a dent in this series today. Great country side
Another find! Hoorah! Once we pulled up to GZ it seemed fairly obvious where it would likely be hidden-and we were right! Azmate22 went in for this one and came up with CIH!
13:10 We've driven past this mountain for years without exploring it. MNCW caches 1 to 26 were still on our “to do” list, and today was the day for this section – overcast but pleasantly cool, so ideal for another crack at this great trail with its lovely bushland and great views. Thanks to the MNC Mob for all the work in setting up the caches in the first place and then maintaining them so well. TFTC
