An amazing series in a beautiful and stunning part of the world. Thanks for going to the effort. TFTC.
Difficult find as lots of leaf debris. Cleared a little to make easier for next. Log wet. Worth this while drive just to see this tree!! Thank you!
We started the “Mid North Coast Wander” series few months ago (47 caches found). This long weekend was the perfect timing to finish it.
This series was a bit challenging because of the 200 caches but it gave us a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to the owner for this amazing job. You bring us through Coorabakh NP and Lansdowne State Forest and all these lookout and interesting points. Then we crossed the road to drive along the coast and enjoyed all the view points!
We found 147 caches and 6 DNF mostly because of muggler on this busy long wkd. All the coordinates were very accurate and with the hint it was easy to find all of them.
At GZ quick found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. This tree is AMAZING !!! We also one goanna and ... one black snake. +1 favourite point

Wow that is an amazing tree! A lot of leaf litter has fallen since it was last found so took a bit of scratching around to find. Found after a bit of a hunt and returned to it’s hidey hole. Thanks for bringing me here!
Found tyftc. Having a week caching our way from newcastle to brisbane. Find #1/1575
We have been told about this Mid North Coast Wander and so having arrived in Harrington last night we set off on the trail today. It was a beautiful sunny day and we very much enjoyed the drive and the scenery. We got to see a few Wallabys and a good number of bird species. It was also exceedingly windy - in fact the sound of the wind through the tall trees especially at the high points was so loud we had to shout at each other to be heard! Many thanks to the CO for having provided us with the opportunity to enjoy another great day out geocaching. With this cache not having been found for over a year (last signature was September 2018) it took a bit of scratching around the truly amazing tree before we located it. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and great to have been able to resuscitate it! Greetings from Zimbabwe
Down in this neck of the woods to make an assault on the MNC Wander. Log signed as Team BADJ to save space.
We begin our assualt on this series, nice quick find and we signed as BADJ. TFTC - sorry for the generic logs.
Well we do know there are more timber ridges around here so good that two caches have a similar name. Cache found, signed, and replaced.
What a wonderful series this is that takes you from cache to cache through beautiful coastal and mountain scenery. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time finding these geocaches and finding many wonderful scenes, wildlife, birds, and peaceful country roads. We've cached today as Team BADJ for Bobbiesgirl, Aussie Liahona, DiamonJs and JooJoo57, to mostly save log space for the many geocachers who will come to the area.
Many thanks to the Mid North Coast Mob. Sorry for the generic logs for the most part, but it's a lot of caches to log even though we weren't able to finish the series due to log trucks advising us to go no further. Hopefully we'll be able to find more of the caches and finish the series at another time.
Cheers and happy caching!

Down in the area to have a try at the MNC Wander Series. Signed the log as Team BADJ. Thank you for putting out this trail - it certainly showed us many aspects of the mid North Coast area. Apologies for the generic logs.
We drove the MNCW again, and found this cache with my Dad and little brother...

Find #1948
This would be our fifth bite from the MNCW cherry. We did a hybrid route from others we've done through Coorabahk, to fill in the gaps we left on previous trips, and camped at Diamond Head overnight. Beautiful, hot weather and no logging trucks or road closures helped us only to leave one stretch to do later. Thanks to the Mid North Coast Mob for their continued efforts on this great trail.
No problems here, a quick find and we moved on..... It is an awesome tree(s)....

We started this series back to front from our earlier base in Wauchope, and now that we have moved on to stay in the Kendall Showgrounds we decided that it was time to start at the beginning. A scenic drive is a great way to explore bits of the countryside we wouldn't otherwise have visited, and it's great to pick up caches as we go.
This is a pretty amazing dog tree! It will be an interesting battle to see who wins out or whether they can co-habit successfully. It is a big eucalypt and will obviously end up cuddling a big dog!

The amazing thing here is that the strangler fig and the host tree are both alive and well.
Found it on a drizzly Wednesday while in the area and hoping to finish this series. From caches 1 to 12 I didn't see another car. And sometime past that I picked up a leech (unknowingly), still bleeding after 4 hours. Thanks to all the people who set this series up and maintain it so well. A quick find thanks to the hint. Again, this is what I believe geocaching is all about. TFTC
A glance at the heatwave in the weather report led us to driving up the coast and enjoying some time in the air conditioned car! Roughly 50 caches today and not a single DNF. Thanks to all COs.
Decided to test the work Camry out and drive the entire forest circuit. Not my smartest effort but the trusty steed did well. Enjoyed the views along the way too.

The turn around point, an easy find. Just looked at the property past the fence, a nice little piece of paradise.
What a crazy tree. Simply awesome.
3 1/2 years after doing the coastal portion I though it was time I finished the mountain section of this Mid North Coast Wander.
Some neat hides, great views and areas to explore.
Some pretty rough tracks in places and even the odd mud hole to contend with.

TFTC, I will use a generic log for this series and go into more detail at the final mystery cache. Attempting this long and looks like amazing series in stages and in no particular order. Should be fun.

Really would like to thank all who were involved with the planning and execution of this trail. I'm fairly sure at least 4 local caching families were lost never to be seen again whilst doing the initial trial runs. Great job really well executed and maintained

Day 1 of a 2 day trip away with Seemyshell to Harrington area to do the MNCW.
What a brilliant trail..... it's like 3 trails in one with all of the different sections; mountain, ocean, bush. Love it! Thanks for all of the effort involved in setting this out and maintaining the trail so well.

Yep, we found this one while our iPhone was trying to work out where on earth we were after our GPSr ran out of batteries - rookie error but we must have used the spares that we'd been carting around for over 12 Months in the TV remote or something super important like that :/

Today was a day to put in an all out effort to find many more of this series. It was a successful run and we were able to add many more smileys to the map. This one deserves a fav point for bringing us to see this unique tree. TFTC.
Drove up towards gate & the owner was there – a short chat & he left – it looks like he was waiting for me to come down tract & this cache wouldn’t reveal itself too quickly to me – a couple of minutes he returned & I pulled the bin & left – next time
This was our second day wandering the dirt roads, chasing the MNCW caches. What a magnificent effort by the fig tree trying to devour such a large tree, I wonder how long it will take? Thanks for a great hide and for bringing us to this magnificent area.

13:10 The most recent East Coast Low dumped flooding rains over the last couple of days, accompanied by high winds. This meant that the planned day out caching on the MNCW (and to check some of the caches we'd laid out on this great trail) was in jeopardy. But, no, the day stayed pleasantly dry and mostly sunny so we had a nice cruise around. The creeks were all busy though. Thanks to all the local cachers who laid out this trail. How interesting and a favourite from us. TFTC
What an amazing fig! Such beautiful patterns.
Meandered out to continue our wander through the forest after a delicious Sunday breakfast. It was an amazing thing to see the beautiful rainforest lush and wet after all this rain! Roadside waterfalls were in abundance and our leech tally now stands at 7 (Mrs Bear must taste good). Again, thank you so much for helping us see this beautiful part of the world.

It was the 3rd day of our holiday in Port Macquarie and with the forecast being for a cold, wet and windy day, we thought it would be spent visiting some nearby wineries and boutique breweries. We awoke however to a beautiful sunny morning, so instantly our plans for the day changed to tackle the Mid North Coast Wander power trail. We managed to average about 10 finds per hour with a total of 70 found for the day ... looks like we will have a few more days ahead of us to complete the series We had an enjoyable day out with some interesting finds and places to see.

41 for the day - TFTC - Great day for a drive in the bush for a great series of caches
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Camped at Coopernook Forest with a late night last night it was not an early start for us this morning. Finally on the road after 10.30 to do some more touring of Coopernook Forest and today we also visited the Coorabakh National Park
We really enjoyed the day and found this section to be the most scenic (for a whole day) than the other parts that we have tackled here this week.
Loved the waterfalls, and caves, the big trees and ferns. Some amazing vistas and lookouts, even with high cloud cover this morning.
Wow our first Micro of the series!! Think Mr Felix may have picked up a leech here. or soon thereafter anyways.

With a few days free up my sleeve after a very busy schedule at work I thought I'd be a nice grandson and drive up to visit my grandparents. It just happens that they are nearby the Mid North Coast power trail which I had been eyeing off for a while. So the decision was made to make my way north and attempt my first large power trail.
After being told by my grandparents that they hadn't had any rain (decent amount) for a long time I was glad to escape the Central Coast where rain and storms had become a constant. I set out for an early start on day one to attempt to get as many caches as possible. I woke up to a cloudy morning which by the time I got to the first in the series had turned into rain.
The rain continued throughout the 2 days and included some strong winds, some brutal down pours and sections of very close lightning! Needless to say the weather made attempting this series quite difficult at times! I soldiered on throughout day 1 on my own in my van (2wd) along the dirt tracks through deep puddles and small rivers created by the rain. Some sections of the track were dubious but I continued along as reversing to go back was going to be difficult.
On day 1 I managed to get the first 89 of the trail before I had to call it a day. The wet weather made everything slower!! Getting in and out of the van, opening caches, writing logs, sealing bags all needed extra time and care in the terrible conditions. Thankfully the hides became somewhat predictable and finding them wasn't too difficult. Although every now and then I was fooled by some red herrings left in certain places. Well played!
There were 2 fallen trees blocking my way which took me some time to move out of the way. I got bogged in one section where there was no phone reception and was km's away from the nearest help. I hadn't seen a single other vehicle the whole day so I had to get myself out of the mess but digging with my hands and slowly moving cm by cm over 2 hours before finally getting myself out. There were sections where I only had 15m of vision due to thick cloud and mist combined with pouring rain. Unfortunately a lot of the look outs didn't provide much of a view due to the conditions, but there were sections when it cleared up for a little while and there were some magnificent sites of mist rolling throughout the valleys.
On day 2 an early start was had again and the bad weather also continued. I headed out to where I finished the evening before and as the rain came down I made my way along the trail. I cleaned up all the bush sections before making my way to Harrington to begin on the coastal section. Unfortunately the weather was still terrible and searching for caches in the pouring rain along the coast where people are present isn't as easy as doing it in a secluded bush setting! I decided to pull the pin at about 1pm and leave the rest of the trail for another time. It now gives me an excuse to come back!!
Thanks for the efforts on the trail! I greatly appreciated the time and care put into it. Most caches were absolutely fine, a small minority had a bit of water damage but in all it is a very well maintained trail! I only had 1 DNF which would appear to be muggled (other logs suggest so also). I'll be back soon!
I signed most logs with my shortened name WTF which was given to me by local geocachers (affectionately I hope!)

We completed some of this awesome trail last year and were eager to get back into it! These 4wd trails are great at night, however I feel we missed some awesome sights in the dark. We did however run into quite a bit of wildlife on the hunt.
We started this section of the series at #28 @ 1945hrs and finished at #109 @ 0315hrs with a few in between. We even did Big Sister which is a difficulty 5☆ in the dead of night. Probably not the most intelligent thing I've done but enjoyable nonetheless.
Lovin it.
