Could not find it.

05-Jan-19
Tassie Trip Day 108 - Today we decided that it was a quiet day however we needed to collect some caches and some groceries this was a short trip.

Continuing on to this the thrid cache it was a rather log seach not resulting in a find not sure were it should be and the hint didn't help with this process but made an extensive search all the same so a DNF for this one.

Thanks GoldJ for bring us here.

28-Dec-18
Sneaky but good

17-Oct-18
Late in the afternoon it was still raining, so I bit the mullet and cached anyway. This was a hard cache to find. I was all over the place for quite a while before I got lucky by being in the right place and looking at the right angle.

27-Sep-18
Tricky little guy. I found it while looking just right. Thanks for the cache.

26-Sep-18
Tricky tricky, Hubby is great at finding sneaky hides and he only found this one by accident. After stumblering towards it. I was the muggle navigator

30-Aug-18
Oh haha brilliant sneaky little hide cause it took us a little bit off searching around to locate this one... Top marks for a sneaky hide Smile

21-Apr-18
Me olde Beach stroll passed by this scenic spot this morning.
Scenic as long as I didn't look towards the ugly houses Wink
No amount of looking could find me this cache Sad

02-Apr-18
Eventually found after eliminating all other possibilities. Appears to be missing it's cover. Tftc. MattyH from Tassie

24-Mar-18
Ohh. I think this has been damaged. We found the cache but it was missing its camo. Put it back as best we could.

10-Jan-18
Wanted to just roll right through all these but this one slowed me way down. I persevered

11-Oct-17
Good hide, co-it’s a bit off today. Geokid found this one, she is the sneaky hide queen!

25-Sep-17
We parked the bikes down on the flat rocks beside the water and wandered up through the scrub to look for this one. A lengthy search turned up no cache so we returned to the bikes and Mr Beetle spotted it on the way back!!! How often does that happen?
Think the fact that the lid is missing makes this one a lot easier, but then it was still the longest search of the 5 we did here today.
Thanks.

13-Sep-17
Easy find, thanks. Looks like it's missing a lid. Will send a message to get it checked.

24-Mar-17
Only had a short period of time to look and I think this one takes a while to find!! So no luck for me today.

While having a wonderful Easter break with the lovely cache owners. We walked along the path to grab their caches. If I did not know the CO, I would ask 'who would put a nano in here. Good cache. TFTC.

Very pleasant wander along the foreshore to pick up this series of caches with some quite challenging hides.

We're half way through our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley Smile On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we have a whole island of caching fun ahead of us! Smile

27-Dec-15
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.

Now staying in Campania, after all the rain yesterday today was such a pleasant day although still cool.

We loaded our lunch, jumpers and bicycles and headed off to explore new areas.

We managed to find your cache whilst in the area. this took a while to locate but we did. we replaced the log and attached the lid which we found on the ground. Twisted

Great hide. Very tricky but also so obvious. Good one.

19-Sep-14
After our previous attempt at this one I bought the family along this time, in the middle of explaining how hard I had looked before Abigail (5) yelled out that she had found it. Amazing that we had missed it but she was just the right height. Almost at 100 finds. This one is # 98. Found @ 17:52.

17-Sep-14
In the afternoon - no rain so gone for a walk "old beach".. nice path and birds on the water... some search, some quick spotted, like this style. Enjoyed myself . Thanks GoldJ for organising the trail/series and hunt.

03-Apr-14
Previously we had concentrated around the old stump, but following the GoldJ prompt we looked in the right direction and quickly had it. Peter managed to flip the cache lid in the air during the opening process but kept it good sight and didn't lose it. TFTC GoldJ

29-Mar-14
Got it! Very Happy

28-Mar-14
Very sneaky! Thanks Very Happy

24-Mar-14
Now that's just plain mean! We looked for this one for about 10 minutes in the daylight and few weeks back, and gave up. Tonight, by torchlight, somehow we managed to spot it! As others have said, the angle you view GZ from really does make a big difference. TFTC!

Well just like all the past finders we searched all over the place for this one drawing a complete blank until we were just about to give up, Mrs SSRat was taking a few pictures of a moth that was near GZ and what do you know as i'm getting a drink out of the rucksack I spot the cache looking right at me.

Very well hidden only ever found two others like this and have plans for my own evil hide Smile

Fav point given for the fun.

Thanks for the cache.

28-Sep-13

31-Jul-13
A very nice sunny day just right for finding the Old Beach series by GoldJ. We started at the Jetty and proceeded along the foreshore track to Cassidys Bay; an area worth visiting.
A tricky one but with the help of a second pair of eyes this cache was eventually found. Simple but effective. Thanks for this and of course for the series GoldJ.

Sorry for my late log, slowly catching up Smile <3

20-Jun-13
Slowly catching up with my logging, we headed over here from No 2. Was alittle off the main trail just enough to out of sight of most passing muggles. Spotted a single Jumping Jack near by but he was to busy heading the opposite direction to pay us any attention.
JABs.

14-Apr-13
Spent along time here but didnt find it. I know it was probably staring us in the face, but this one was just too hard for us today Smile Will come back.

07-Apr-13
Yay, last time I couldn't find this one, and now that I have found it, I'm not surprised. Very clever hide. Thanks GoldJ. Of course Maddie took the chance to have a couple of cooling dips while I did my thing.

26-Mar-13
What an elusive hide this was and with the GPS in a small spin we waited for it to settle and then began the search. After checking all the obvious spots without success we headed down to the water to check out the swans, the geomrs with the geohound in tow then headed back toward the indicated GPS co-ordinates and a "is this it??" comment came from her mouth....there it was...crafty sucker. Again a very crafty hide from GoldJ. We are very impressed with your creativity, an extraction tool assisted in the log removal, SL, TNLN, TFTC

19-Mar-13
Staying in the area on holiday our 2ND attempt and co ords spot on today tftc

09-Mar-13
We were unsure what to expect and spent a little time searching, but then T just happened to come good!! A new kind of hide to us. Tftc

25-Feb-13
I got lucky and found this one quickly. I can see why others have found this hard, but just keep plugging away.

11-Feb-13
Wasn't expecting the size. Still new to caching.

19-Jan-13
Clever cache.

31-Dec-12
After a quick scan of gz we realised we were in for a bit of time at this location. Searched the obvious then decided to have a think about it - then caught sight of it. Very clever, might have to use this idead ourselves back home.

19-Dec-12
How embarrassing - no luck here either. Oh well, it's a great track for walking the dog, so it will be nice to come back. Maddie enjoyed lots of dips while I was searching around at the three caches I attempted today. Reading the logs now, perhaps I needed to expand my search area here more. I was prodding in a stump and all of a sudden out came a stream of the hugest bullants or inchmen - I don't know what they were, but they were the hugest ants I've ever seen. So take care - they're in the top of the low cut off upright stump. Thanks GoldJ. I had to pull the pin and get back to town for an appointment.

11-Nov-12
Great hide. Placed my gear on the ground to begin the search and low and behold it was the right spot. TNLN TFTC.

05-Nov-12
Day 3 of our escape from the NT trip, seeking some relief from the tropical build up

This one took us a little while to find. Yesterday we were a bit miffed with reborn cyclist for pipping us at the post for a FTF. He redeemed himself today though as we reenacted his log for this cache and then found it pretty quickly.

TFTC

25-Oct-12
Tackled 3 of this series today, the weather was not good so will return to complete another day. Sneaky sneaky sneaky what a great hide - happened upon it rather quickly considering the quality of the hide. Adding to our favourites list TFTC

15-Oct-12
Nice stroll... search a bit, very trick hide.. thanks..

09-Sep-12
We had come to Hobart for the weekend to celebrate the birthday of one of our sons. Of course, we managed to squeeze a little caching into our visit. We were heading home, a little ahead of schedule, when we decided to try to find a couple of the Old Beach caches. Having found the first two in the series, we thought we would test or luck and look for the third cache. We hunted around the area for about 15 minutes, poking and prodding in different locations. Eventually one of us approached the search area from a different direction and "Eureka!" - there it was. A very good hide. Thanks again GoldJ for another very good cache.

As time was now getting on we decided to get back on the road. After experiencing the first three caches in the series, we are really looking foward to looking for the last four.

09-Sep-12
Stoked to find this one so quickly. Almost stumbled into a muggle who was relieving himself behind a tree. Awkward!!!

14-Aug-12
Despite the tales of long searches, and my usual inability to find anything not staring me in the face (or sometimes even those), I was oddly optimistic about a quick find.
Ba-bow!
After 25 minutes, searching all sorts of things and trying to read clues into the various logs, I gave up and wandered off to enjoy the view.
I though I heard something behind me (turned out to be birds), looked over my shoulder, and there it was!
This would be a lovely spot if there wasn't so much rubbish lying around, but thanks for the views and the clever hide.

04-Aug-12
We enjoyed this sereis very much. We did 1 & 2 together, then 3, then a dash to a toliet for geo kid o, then off to 7, 6 and finally 5 and 4.

I was warned by Old Saint that a couple of the caches could be trickly to find, and number 3 certainly was difficult to find. We looked up and down every where, and only when we expanded our search area did we find the cache.

This individual cache was found by myself, we had searched up and down the area, and really had no luck in finding anything until we searched about 8 metres from where my GPS had GZ. Given the area, this is really in the range of accuracy. A nice hide.
