Great views here but no revelation from the first step. Think this one might be missing.
We started the “Mid North Coast Wander” series few months ago (47 caches found). This long weekend was the perfect timing to finish it.
This series was a bit challenging because of the 200 caches but it gave us a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to the owner for this amazing job. You bring us through Coorabakh NP and Lansdowne State Forest and all these lookout and interesting points. Then we crossed the road to drive along the coast and enjoyed all the view points!
We found 147 caches and 6 DNF mostly because of muggler on this busy long wkd. All the coordinates were very accurate and with the hint it was easy to find all of them.
At GZ quick found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks for the view. +1 favourite point

Almost gave up on this one. Had to wait for 2 muggle groups to leave. Then I couldn’t see anything. Was about to leave when I made the find under quite a lot of leaf litter. Amazing view!
Found tyftc. Having a week caching our way from newcastle to brisbane. Find #1/1590
We have been told about this Mid North Coast Wander and so having arrived in Harrington last night we set off on the trail today. It was a beautiful sunny day and we very much enjoyed the drive and the scenery. We got to see a few Wallabys and a good number of bird species. It was also exceedingly windy - in fact the sound of the wind through the tall trees especially at the high points was so loud we had to shout at each other to be heard! Many thanks to the CO for having provided us with the opportunity to enjoy another great day out geocaching. We located this one soon enough once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and now to go and check out the viewpoint! Greetings from Zimbabwe
We started this series back to front from our earlier base in Wauchope, and now that we have moved on to stay in the Kendall Showgrounds we decided that it was time to start at the beginning. A scenic drive is a great way to explore bits of the countryside we wouldn't otherwise have visited, and it's great to pick up caches as we go.
We arrived here and quickly found the cache and then decided to have lunch. Took it out to the lookout point and enjoyed the scenery while we are on this lovely winters day.
Outstanding views from the bluff high up here on the escarpment. We could see forest in the valley so, farming land and also the volcanic plugs.
TFTC and bringing us here.

Flat Rock is one of our favourite spots. Geokid 3 very excited to find this one all herself. Old log waterlogged and really beyond salvage - we've replaced with a new log and dried the cache out thoroughly. New log is a small pink notebook.
Amazing location. Didn't know about this hidden gem. Tftc!!! Reminded me of a cache i did in the blue mountains. A fav for me. #906
A glance at the heatwave in the weather report led us to driving up the coast and enjoying some time in the air conditioned car! Roughly 50 caches today and not a single DNF. Thanks to all COs.
Decided to test the work Camry out and drive the entire forest circuit. Not my smartest effort but the trusty steed did well. Enjoyed the views along the way too.
Awarding my second FP for the day. What a view! TNLN TFTC

I think this was one of the first actual lookouts we visited up in the hills, the low clouds parted for a few seconds enough for us to be able to see what was before us, a nice wet green view. Easy find.
What a view.
3 1/2 years after doing the coastal portion I though it was time I finished the mountain section of this Mid North Coast Wander.
Some neat hides, great views and areas to explore.
Some pretty rough tracks in places and even the odd mud hole to contend with.

Another fav point for the best views so far, wow. TFTC, I will use a generic log for this series and go into more detail at the final mystery cache. Attempting this long and looks like amazing series in stages and in no particular order. Should be fun.
We can only imagine how amazing this view must be on a fine day.
Today, we were up above the clouds and mist so couldn't see very far at all!
Geokids were glad to stretch their legs and have a peer through the clouds.
Had a quick lunch at the bottom of the walk as the kids were complaining of their hunger.

Find 10 out of 10 for the day, number 7 for this trail. After driving a lot of small tracks in our mum's Corolla we decided this would be our last on the track for the day due to daylight running out. It was super fitting to finish on this one on our 5 year anniversary holiday, on our honeymoon we had found this lookout by accident trying to locate the Ellenborough Falls. Still a spectacular view! Easy find. TFTC!
wow what a lookout this one is. tn ln, sl Really would like to thank all who were involved with the planning and execution of this trail. I'm fairly sure at least 4 local caching families were lost never to be seen again whilst doing the initial trial runs. Great job really well executed and maintained
I can't believe just how many stunning places you have led us to today! Thank you for an amazing trail of well maintained caches. We appreciate it.
After reading about these trails being a good softroading area, we were keen to visit, then noting the MNCW series here, and it was a must. We spent about 5 hours in the car to/from the area, and 6 hours caching today, loved the trail, we will return one day to fill in some gaps, and visit areas we just ran out of time to get to...
This could be the most impressive place I have stood on.... what a view. To think we almost drove past as we were running low on time!

This location and view were OUTSTANDING! I am going to happily give this cache it's 20th favourite point! Loved finding this cache with Gazkersh and Tilly. The gigantic rock platform is a sight to behold and standing up there on that naturally formed rock was an amazing feeling.
Log was a bit soggy so we dried it out as best we could and added some pages from a spare log book in a clean and dry snaplock bag. TFTC Mid North Coast Mob

Today was a day to put in an all out effort to find many more of this series. It was a successful run and we were able to add many more smileys to the map. TFTC.
Found with the gang. Rushing around to get them all done before the light ran out.
This was our second day wandering the dirt roads, chasing the MNCW caches. Now this really is a lookout, the drop below was amazing. Thanks for a great hide and for bringing us to this magnificent area.
Found on a day out with the parents. Only did one where we stopped, so we have some for next time
Found on a detour on the way home from dropping my kids back to their mother.

What an amazing view! Definitely one of our favourites on the wander!
Meandered out to continue our wander through the forest after a delicious Sunday breakfast. It was an amazing thing to see the beautiful rainforest lush and wet after all this rain! Roadside waterfalls were in abundance and our leech tally now stands at 7 (Mrs Bear must taste good). Again, thank you so much for helping us see this beautiful part of the world.

It was the 3rd day of our holiday in Port Macquarie and with the forecast being for a cold, wet and windy day, we thought it would be spent visiting some nearby wineries and boutique breweries. We awoke however to a beautiful sunny morning, so instantly our plans for the day changed to tackle the Mid North Coast Wander power trail. We managed to average about 10 finds per hour with a total of 70 found for the day ... looks like we will have a few more days ahead of us to complete the series We had an enjoyable day out with some interesting finds and places to see.

Found by Mary & David, in company with baby&Mrs gopher, at 1535. What a day of wonderful scenery, great caches, and breathtaking views. An absolute favourite! Grass tree clinging to a rock, critically endangered Banksia Conferta (and they were in flower, like golden candelabra!), and that view. Could have stood there for hours just staring above, below and to all sides. Learned so much from the information boards too. Wet log and bag replaced. Our thanks to Mid North Coast Mob.

57/58 for the day - TFTC - Great day for a drive in the bush for a great series of caches
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Camped at Coopernook Forest with a late night last night it was not an early start for us this morning. Finally on the road after 10.30 to do some more touring of Coopernook Forest and today we also visited the Coorabakh National Park
We really enjoyed the day and found this section to be the most scenic (for a whole day) than the other parts that we have tackled here this week.
Loved the waterfalls, and caves, the big trees and ferns. Some amazing vistas and lookouts, even with high cloud cover this morning.

With a few days free up my sleeve after a very busy schedule at work I thought I'd be a nice grandson and drive up to visit my grandparents. It just happens that they are nearby the Mid North Coast power trail which I had been eyeing off for a while. So the decision was made to make my way north and attempt my first large power trail.
After being told by my grandparents that they hadn't had any rain (decent amount) for a long time I was glad to escape the Central Coast where rain and storms had become a constant. I set out for an early start on day one to attempt to get as many caches as possible. I woke up to a cloudy morning which by the time I got to the first in the series had turned into rain.
The rain continued throughout the 2 days and included some strong winds, some brutal down pours and sections of very close lightning! Needless to say the weather made attempting this series quite difficult at times! I soldiered on throughout day 1 on my own in my van (2wd) along the dirt tracks through deep puddles and small rivers created by the rain. Some sections of the track were dubious but I continued along as reversing to go back was going to be difficult.
On day 1 I managed to get the first 89 of the trail before I had to call it a day. The wet weather made everything slower!! Getting in and out of the van, opening caches, writing logs, sealing bags all needed extra time and care in the terrible conditions. Thankfully the hides became somewhat predictable and finding them wasn't too difficult. Although every now and then I was fooled by some red herrings left in certain places. Well played!
There were 2 fallen trees blocking my way which took me some time to move out of the way. I got bogged in one section where there was no phone reception and was km's away from the nearest help. I hadn't seen a single other vehicle the whole day so I had to get myself out of the mess but digging with my hands and slowly moving cm by cm over 2 hours before finally getting myself out. There were sections where I only had 15m of vision due to thick cloud and mist combined with pouring rain. Unfortunately a lot of the look outs didn't provide much of a view due to the conditions, but there were sections when it cleared up for a little while and there were some magnificent sites of mist rolling throughout the valleys.
On day 2 an early start was had again and the bad weather also continued. I headed out to where I finished the evening before and as the rain came down I made my way along the trail. I cleaned up all the bush sections before making my way to Harrington to begin on the coastal section. Unfortunately the weather was still terrible and searching for caches in the pouring rain along the coast where people are present isn't as easy as doing it in a secluded bush setting! I decided to pull the pin at about 1pm and leave the rest of the trail for another time. It now gives me an excuse to come back!!
Thanks for the efforts on the trail! I greatly appreciated the time and care put into it. Most caches were absolutely fine, a small minority had a bit of water damage but in all it is a very well maintained trail! I only had 1 DNF which would appear to be muggled (other logs suggest so also). I'll be back soon!
I signed most logs with my shortened name WTF which was given to me by local geocachers (affectionately I hope!)

Gotcha !!! A few days caching with cousin "Yella Belly " Fantastic series. A favourite from me. Great spot for lunch. Visited TBs and GCs. TFTC
This time last year we started this series, now another load done, both times in the dark and had a ball doing them all. Thanks for a great series. Will be back again this time next year to finish. Hopefully.

We completed some of this awesome trail last year and were eager to get back into it! These 4wd trails are great at night, however I feel we missed some awesome sights in the dark. We did however run into quite a bit of wildlife on the hunt.
We started this section of the series at #28 @ 1945hrs and finished at #109 @ 0315hrs with a few in between. We even did Big Sister which is a difficulty 5☆ in the dead of night. Probably not the most intelligent thing I've done but enjoyable nonetheless.
Lovin it.

1st day caching on the Mid North Coast Wander series. Wazza9 went around the fence and came down the stairs to get to the cache, looks like NP's will be awhile fixing the area. TFTC
Found on a great mid north coast day. The look out has been closed due to vandalism which is a real pity. Hopefully National Parks will sort this out soon. The cache is still to be accessed even though it is behind the fence
Since the Mid North Coast Wander series was published, it has been one of our aims to visit the area to tackle the caches. This visit has enabled us to realise this goal. We anticipated taking two days to attempt all the caches. Today we started at 6:10 and cached solidly through the day, finishing in the dark at 18:45. In that time we were fortunate to find 107 Mid North Coast Wander caches and to visit two trig points. Unfortunately there were 2 DNFs and a further three caches we didn't attempt as we did not have suitable transport. We have had a thoroughly enjoyable day looking for high quality caches in areas providing stunning scenery, We are looking forward to continue the hunt tomorrow.
When we arrived at this location we were greeted with security fencing and a sign to announce that the lookout was cosed due to vandalism. We were about to retreat when a family came along, ignored the signs and found a way around the security fencing. As they headed off to the lookout we took the same path but headed to GZ which, after all, was less than a metre from the fencing. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Mid North Coast Mob for this cache and the series,

TFTC. Decided to take the campervan on a magical mystery tour of NSW and ACT. Great to go where you may not think of going otherwise without caches. Thanks for the effort of a power trail.
My second day on the series fared much better than the first. It did rain from time to time, but only for short periods at a time. There were another couple of DNFs but lots of finds.Still enjoying it, and hope to finish tomorrow..
My thanks to Mid North Coast Mob for the cache.

Found during at trip up to the Mid North Coast with The Rats and Hoojar.
We arrived at the first cache at 9.00pm on Friday evening and set about completing the first 42 finds up until midnight where we bivouacked a few metres up the road from Bangalow Grid.
We woke the next morning to find the air filled with smoke from a nearby bushfire, however a chance meeting and conversation with a Forestry Commission employee on the status of the fire put our minds at ease and we continued our run through the remainder of the series, and a few others along the way, before completing the series just in time to meet up with Browngang for dinner and a few drinks.
We decided to leave the final assault for Sunday morning following the much appreciated hospitality provided by Browngang, and in a blanket of pea soup we made the last find on our way back south.
I found the series to be one of the better power trails I have completed to date with a good variety of hides, reasonably accurate coordinates, fantastic scenery, and once again excellent company.
Special thanks again to Browngang for your kind hospitality and the bacon and egg sandwiches to kick start out day for the trip home!
And last but not least, thanks Mid North Coast Mob for the cache.
