A GR8 adventure with seven other GR8 geo-mates, during our King’s Birthday Long Weekend Geocaching Retreat, as we drive the Mid North Coast Wander. Such beautiful country up here. What an effort to keep this series going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all involved.

Oh yeah, definitely a large container. We stopped in the general area and GZ was the logical place to check out. While I went over to have a look, my son went to have a closer look at the horse that was standing in the paddock.
I spotted the container immediately: the grass has been mown and the container was lying out of its hiding spot, on its side. Fortunately, no damage to report. After signing my name I put the container back where it was supposed to be. From the road it can't be seen, but from the field (other side of the fence) it might be spotted. There wasn't much natural camo around to improve the situation.

On this long weekend we started the Mid North Coast Wander series. We did only 47 caches in Middle brother NP and Coopernook state forest because of some car issues but we will be back to finish the series. We really enjoyed the track with some nice lookouts.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob to bring us on this track and all the interesting place.

We have been told about this Mid North Coast Wander and so having arrived in Harrington last night we set off on the trail today. It was a beautiful sunny day and we very much enjoyed the drive and the scenery. We got to see a few Wallabys and a good number of bird species. It was also exceedingly windy - in fact the sound of the wind through the tall trees especially at the high points was so loud we had to shout at each other to be heard! Many thanks to the CO for having provided us with the opportunity to enjoy another great day out geocaching. This one was quickly located once at Ground Zero having spotted it on approach. We signed the log book under the watchful eyes of a horse in the paddock and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

After an amazing weekend camping with newly found friends, it was time to head home. I cached my way out from camp and up the road a bit till I felt cached-out. Most of the caches found today were MNCW with a few in between.

Wow. Now that's what I call a geocache. Nearer the size of the worlds first geocache. Got a large trackable to move along? Then this is the cache for you!
What a wonderful series this is that takes you from cache to cache through beautiful coastal and mountain scenery. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time finding these geocaches and finding many wonderful scenes, wildlife, birds, and peaceful country roads. We've cached today as Team BADJ for Bobbiesgirl, Aussie Liahona, DiamonJs and JooJoo57, to mostly save log space for the many geocachers who will come to the area.
Many thanks to the Mid North Coast Mob. Sorry for the generic logs for the most part, but it's a lot of caches to log even though we weren't able to finish the series due to log trucks advising us to go no further. Hopefully we'll be able to find more of the caches and finish the series at another time.
Cheers and happy caching!

Down in the area to have a try at the MNC Wander Series. Signed the log as Team BADJ. Thank you for putting out this trail - it certainly showed us many aspects of the mid North Coast area. Apologies for the generic logs.
Another day of geo caching in the area. Geo kids don’t want to go home they are lovin’ the easy finds. And awesome clues. Geo kids loved this one the best for tradables
Great to see a big container and in such a good spot for it. The horse here was very interested in us but unfortunately we were not there to feed him. TFTC
We are on holyday from the Netherlands and traveling from Brisbane to Sydney. 5 years ago we found several caches along this track. Today starting from no. 111. This cache has been found easily at 11:43.

Today Ms Atalanta and I moved from the Harrington set of caches across the highway to Coopernook and beyond. This was one of several of the Mid Coast Wander that we found today (and by far the biggest). TFTC
Lovely to be greeted by such a large container!
Log signed, and on our way again.

Yesterday we spent around 9 hours exploring the hills searching out the first 100+ hides on this great series. We had some adventures (including navigating a roadblock for the forestry blokes), had to backtrack a number of times and managed to locate all but 3 of the caches we looked for. It was a great drive and took us through a diverse range of country. Today we have set out in the expectation of enjoying ourselves just as much, and adding lots more yellow smiley faces to our tally.
A horse by the fence here raised its head for a minute to say hello, but then went back to its feed bucket. The cache bucket had no feed in it!
There were a few more snorts as Mrs SKI returned to the car.

On a trip around East Gippsland that will eventually take us passed Sydney and onto Harrington. Stopping off at Eden and Picton plus a few other places and I will be occasionally picking up a geocache along the way. Today was Coopernoock’s lucky day and I thank the Mid North Coast Mob for placing this cache in this wonderful location.
