We are staying on the coast to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria.
Out grabbing a few around this lovely area, while we doing a bit of whale watching and exploring this great little camp area.
Made this harder than it should have been. The container was found after a bit of a detour.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

A GR8 adventure with seven other GR8 geo-mates, during our King’s Birthday Long Weekend Geocaching Retreat, as we drive the Mid North Coast Wander. Such beautiful country up here. What an effort to keep this series going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all involved.

Found with our GR8 mates on our King's Long Weekend adventure to the Mid-North Coast. TFTC
Great day out working with the team from Sydney (signed as GR8) working on this series. It’s been a long time coming to find these caches and I appreciate the effort of placers and CO for keeping these caches going.
Removed "Found" log dated 30 April as the Co's name is not in the log book.
Found with nissan65 on a day trip caching. Thankyou for your contribution to geo caching.
Had a few false starts going in through the long grass and lomandra . Once we found the correct path in, the cache she was soon to hand. Fortunately no snakes this time.TFC
Out today on a bike ride, after getting my P's I wanted to go for a ride. Got to this camp ground which I will use on future geocaching trips and made my way to this gz and made a quick find TFTC
We started the “Mid North Coast Wander” series few months ago (47 caches found). This long weekend was the perfect timing to finish it.
This series was a bit challenging because of the 200 caches but it gave us a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to the owner for this amazing job. You bring us through Coorabakh NP and Lansdowne State Forest and all these lookout and interesting points. Then we crossed the road to drive along the coast and enjoyed all the view points!
We found 147 caches and 6 DNF mostly because of muggler on this busy long wkd. All the coordinates were very accurate and with the hint it was easy to find all of them.
At GZ quick found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found.

Took a while to find, as our GPS wasn't sure. Once we got to the right GZ we found the cache pretty quickly. TFTC!
Time to turn around and call quits with yet another inevitable DNF due to the recent all engulfing fire.
Did a cache run through Crowdy to pick up some of the caches we previously missed. Logging late as haven’t had time to do it. Unfortunately probably won’t get anymore now. TFTC.
Caching today with No_Tomorrow, Tatt2squared & Key_Tat.... Attacking some of the MNCW today, had a great time finding all these... TFTC
Caching today with No_Tomorrow, Key_Tat & Viper_101.... Attacking some of the MNCW today, sorry for the repetitive post, if we ever get the co-ords to the final I will put more effort in there. Nice drive, nice easy finds... especially with the kids in tow. TFTC

Today I was invited to join Tatt2squared, Key_tat and Viper_101 with a spot of geocaching. What started out as a plan to find 16 geocaches, ended up a 37 for myself, which included my 1000th find.

We have been oh so slow on this series but pleased to say getting a few more during a camping trip at lovely Diamond Head. What a prickly spot. TFTC Mid North Coast Mob. Found 2/12/18 10:39 am. Cache 1679 for us.

there were campers nearby when I was trying to grab this cache, so I walked the long way around behind it and was ultra quiet. Then when I got back to my car and was writing down about the cache I noticed a tick crawling across my paper, So the campers must have thought I was crazy jumping out of my car going " Arrrrr " and scraping the paper along the ground being careful not to let the tick get on me. Thanks for the cache Mid North Coast Mob tnln replaced as found sl
This one had us trying to make out a trail but couldn't really see one. Just had to go for it and try to follow the GPS in the thickness. We were glad we weren't here in the height of summer.
But cache was found and the duties done.
What a wonderful series this is that takes you from cache to cache through beautiful coastal and mountain scenery. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time finding these geocaches and finding many wonderful scenes, wildlife, birds, and peaceful country roads. We've cached today as Team BADJ for Bobbiesgirl, Aussie Liahona, DiamonJs and JooJoo57, to mostly save log space for the many geocachers who will come to the area.
Many thanks to the Mid North Coast Mob. Sorry for the generic logs for the most part.
Cheers and happy caching!

After finding some local caches in and around Laurieton we made our way home via the coast road to find more of the MNC Wander series. Signed log as Team BADJ to save space.
I am enjoying these coastal MNCW, they are taking us to some nice views some ok places but it is good. TFTC
Down in the area to have a try at the MNC Wander Series. Signed the log as Team BADJ. Thank you for putting out this trail - it certainly showed us many aspects of the mid North Coast area.
Took a bit to find this one with all the lantana and vegetation TFTCSL found with 3ferrets
Now we know what all the previous logs are on about, we retrieved our lucky stick and slowly made our way through the long grass making as much noise as possible, thankfully no reptiles were spotted. Once at GZ we made a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Mid North Coast Mob

Checked on the cache and it is still there with very good co-ords. It is just that the vegetation has grown a lot since placement and it is a bit harder to get to.
Decided to leave this as people were camping so close by.
Thanks Mid North Coast Mob. We are really enjoying this series,
Domsky
Yesterday we spent around 9 hours exploring the hills searching out the first 100+ hides on this great series. We had some adventures (including navigating a roadblock for the forestry blokes), had to backtrack a number of times and managed to locate all but 3 of the caches we looked for. It was a great drive and took us through a diverse range of country. Today we have set out in the expectation of enjoying ourselves just as much, and adding lots more yellow smiley faces to our tally.
Glad there were no long wriggly things today. Already saw one at the quarry and that's enuf!

Another easy find but was unable to sign log
as a long slimy thing was to close for comfort.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Found it on a sunny Monday while in the area and hoping to finish this series. We were here at Easter 2013 and found quite a lot (don't know the exact number) back then - mainly in the hinterland areas. Thanks to all the people who set this series up and maintain it so well. A quick find, only 2 families camping there at the moment. TFTC
Lovely little camp ground not being used today
Parked car and headed off in search of the first of three caches here today
Tall grass had to be walked thru to get to GZ
Was wary of snakes but none sighted
Geo hubby spotted this one

The wife found this one pretty easily, camping ground deserted on a friday afternoon.
11:53:00 AM. I am going to post a generic log for the rest of the caches we did today. We loved the series and will be back to complete it one day. The caches took us to some great spots and a couple of places we will return to for a camp. Thanks for all the work. A lot of caches we just signed GT2 as a time saver. I think a couple of the campers are using this tree as a toilet. The cache stank. Thanks Mid North Coast Mob for placing this cache.
