07/07/24This is find number: 9976Streak Day: 3125In the area this week and had some time to come out and find some of this series today. Found with Snoopy1976 and ws_cachersThanks to Mid North Coast Mob for placing and maintaining this cache.TFTC
Streak Day #4014 - Out on a geocaching jaunt with Dave8153 and ws_cachers. Most were a quick find. TFTC
Decided to take the coastal road home hoping to pick off a few more in this series. So far the road had been pretty good for the Geoswift after the recent rain. It quickly deteriorated the closer I got to Crowdy Head, but was persistent in not turning back. Slow and steady would hopefully get my through. Had to make a few stops just to see how deep some puddles actually were and dodging exposed rocks made it even more interesting. At GZ it made for a quick find and carried on hoping to get through with the rain rolling in. TFTC
We found this cache when we visited in 2022 and did not log it. I hope its ok to do a back log. Paul and Lou with Savannah
Another lovely spot in close to the beach and a well placed cache. This one is extra special for me as it is my 500th find and it has been way too long coming as it is my 15th year since I have started caching. I really need to pick up my average finds per year tftc
A beautiful spot for Outdoornut22 to get his 500th cache! So a bit of a dance party here for us! Thanks for the find!
Logged as GR8 for the Geocaching Retreat 8 cachers.
A first picnic area for the drive.

A GR8 adventure with seven other GR8 geo-mates, during our King’s Birthday Long Weekend Geocaching Retreat, as we drive the Mid North Coast Wander. Such beautiful country up here. What an effort to keep this series going for us to enjoy. Thank you to all involved.

Great day out working with the team from Sydney (signed as GR8) working on this series. It’s been a long time coming to find these caches and I appreciate the effort of placers and CO for keeping these caches going. Beach was looking delightful.
Found with nissan65 on a day trip caching. Thankyou for your contribution to geo caching
Found while birdwatching nearby. Poor old stump is rotting away. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Cache was still there - actually it was out in the open slightly and could easily be seen.
Replaced it in a dead tree trunk about waist high.

A caching trek with Ms Atalanta today to work off the excesses of last night. We are staying at Harrington, as we did last year. When we visited this area last year, it had been largely burned out, and several nearby caches had been destroyed. This time they seemed OK, and some dnfs have now become smilies, but not this one despite a lengthy search. The problem this year is rain!

We started the “Mid North Coast Wander” series few months ago (47 caches found). This long weekend was the perfect timing to finish it.
This series was a bit challenging because of the 200 caches but it gave us a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to the owner for this amazing job. You bring us through Coorabakh NP and Lansdowne State Forest and all these lookout and interesting points. Then we crossed the road to drive along the coast and enjoyed all the view points!
We found 147 caches and 6 DNF mostly because of muggler on this busy long wkd. All the coordinates were very accurate and with the hint it was easy to find all of them.
At GZ quick found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found.

Another great day on our one-year tripp around Australia. We love to travel in this country and we love to look for geocaches. This geocache has again shown us a place that we might not have visited without geocache.
Thank you for the geocache !
Greetings from Switzerland.

Caching today with No_Tomorrow, Tatt2squared & Key_Tat.... Attacking some of the MNCW today, had a great time finding all these... TFTC
Today I was invited to join Tatt2squared, Key_tat and Viper_101 with a spot of geocaching. What started out as a plan to find 16 geocaches, ended up a 37 for myself, which included my 1000th find.

Found with Gazkersh and littlemisslonglegs. TFTC! Glad my tall Husband was here!
Although a ladder is part of our TOTT these days we didn't need one today. We thankfully reached the cache and signed before replacing.
We are so enjoying this Mid North Coast Wander. Thank you to all who took part, worked out the locations, gave them names, found the containers, wrote up the cache pages, submitted them for review and got them published. All in all it must have been a huge job but please know it is much appreciated and we are loving the places the Wander is taking us. Signed the logs Team BADJ to save room and that stands for Bobbiesgirl, Aussie Liahona, DiamonJs and JooJoo57.
Cheers and happy caching!

After finding some local caches in and around Laurieton we made our way home via the coast road to find more of the MNC Wander series. Signed log as Team BADJ to save space.
I am enjoying these coastal MNCW, they are taking us to some nice views some ok places but it is good. TFTC
Down in the area to have a try at the MNC Wander Series. Signed the log as Team BADJ. Thank you for putting out this trail - it certainly showed us many aspects of the mid North Coast area. Apologies for the generic logs.
Today we travelled South to complete the Diamond Head section of the Mid North Coast Wander which we had been holding off until the weather was good and the holiday traffic had died down.
#3 for the day, a nice change of scenery along here, cache found in the very first spot we checked.
Thanks for the cache Mid North Coast Mob

Totally different trees down this road, amazing views along this trail... soon had cache found, signed and replaced...TFTC
Heading north and detoured through Harrington and up to Laurieton to grab a few more caches on the MNCWT. Some areas had too many people camped while others had muggles too close to try, so those were left for another time. All caches were found easily enough with a few needing a bit of a clean up and a couple I rebagged. Once the log was signed all was returned as found.
A great series and well worth the detour.
My apologies for the generic logs.

Yesterday we spent around 9 hours exploring the hills searching out the first 100+ hides on this great series. We had some adventures (including navigating a roadblock for the forestry blokes), had to backtrack a number of times and managed to locate all but 3 of the caches we looked for. It was a great drive and took us through a diverse range of country. Today we have set out in the expectation of enjoying ourselves just as much, and adding lots more yellow smiley faces to our tally.
This is yet another hidden area for day use. A great stretch of National Park with lots of hidden treasures.
We are not sure why we are staying in caravan parks!

What a glorious sunny day for some Caching and we had the pleasure of having Anneofgreengables2 along for the ride. A quick find was had at GZ and we never knew this picnic spot exsisted. Many thanks for bringing us here. TNLN SL TFTC
Tried this one a few days ago but height was not with us. Brought height today and finished the job. TFTC
Found it on a very hot Tuesday while in the area and hoping to finish this series. We were here at Easter 2013 and found quite a lot (don't know the exact number) back then - mainly in the hinterland areas. Thanks to all the people who set this series up and maintain it so well. I didn't need a ladder but the nearby log helped, I could only just reach it. TFTC
Had geo hubby to help retrieve this cache today
Short as I am would definitely needed a ladder to retrieve if by myself
A little worried about snakes as we walked to GZ but none sighted today

Find #903
We spent this weekend Mid North Coast wandering, spending the night camping at the great Diamond Head Campground. We had a great time driving and exploring the areas we were taken to, and managed 58 finds over the weekend, with only a single DNF. Our third trip up here for the MNCW, we'll need another weekend to complete it yet! Thanks to the Mid North Coast Mob for their hard work in keeping this trail great.
Todays plan was to do some more of the wander north of Diamond Head, North Brother Mountain, and then return to Middle Brother to complete some we ran out of time for on Saturday. Getting home with a closed Pacific Highway proved to be as much adventure as the caching.....

We found 22 caches in the Mid North Coast on our way home from Diamond Head today. TFTC!!
TFTC, I will use a generic log for this series and go into more detail at the final mystery cache. Attempting this long and looks like amazing series in stages and in no particular order. Should be fun.
