Logs
couldn't find it, very overgrownalso enjoyed the smell of a decomposing deer about 10m away
Great to finally tick off. Bit prickly around and hard to sign damp log. Cheers
Tricky to find as very overgrown! But it is still there. Box has leaked and log was damp. Good luck.
Had a couple of looks today but no luck. I was surprised by the amount of traffic. Each ute slowing down looking at me, the last one even stopped so maybe I just got creepe out.
Log wet. Rainy day and great time to go geocaching, (less muggles) perfect hiding spot, you will be looking at it the entire time you hunt for it. Thanks for the great hide!
Great view from GZ on a lovely day and interesting rocks, reminded us of Murphy's Haystacks in South Australia. Mr S found Mrs S signed.
Thanks tparty.
Thanks tparty.

On a tiki-tour over the Papamoa Hills from Te Puke decided as My.Precious and I were getting close to Kaiate Falls to call in and try our luck, only to find that they were advanced and we didn't have the printouts with clues. Oh well next time. Carried on to Miss Campbells, umm, that was a DNF. Looked at the map and saw this one further up the road. After a bit of a scramble to better retrieve the container M.P and I signed the log. I also picked up a travel bug. I'm sure it enjoyed the view as I did. TFTC.
Got Flynn to help me find this. He is great at finding geocaches. Aunty Sa was looking under the wrong tree!!! TFTC
Finally able to get the smiley face on this after an aborted attempt a few months ago. All quiet here today but a very freshly graded road made it hard on the car. Thanks for bringing us here
This a nice view and some different rock forms nearby thanks for bringing me here and for a great cache
After I had signed the cache I was accosted by a local farmer asking if I was dumping rubbish on the side of the road. Great views.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Arrived at gz only to find someone parked up in driveway. A guy was in the passenger seat with feet out window and glaring at us as we slowly drove past. Waited up the road a bit but conceded that he was not going anywhere until his mate was finished doing whatever he was doing. Had to admit defeat on this and not sure ehen we will be back. Sure hope I don't meet up with them again
Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
Moans of a muggle car could be heard before reaching GZ, but thankfully the trappers were in the bush so we could make thei find quick as.

I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more the fifty caches and be home before dinner. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
We all rolled our eyes when we approached GZ and saw there was a green Jeep parked near by. Luckily the occupants were no where to be seen and we were able to jump and after a short search spotted the cache. Thanks for placing so many caches in this great are tparty.

Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.
Thought we'd have to leave this one as there was a car parked up very close to GZ, but we had a quick look as we went past and noticed it was empty. So we quickly jumped out and hunted for the cache before we were muggle when they returned. After a quick search the cache was found and replaced before the owners of the car returned. Thanks for the hide, and the views.

Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.
Very cool spot, enjoyed the drive up here to admire this great view of the Bay. At first was worried when we saw a car parked nearby, but no one was around so we could soon make the find. Thanks for bringing us here.

Cleaning up some of the surrounding areas and I have no idea why this cache has taken me so long to get! Stunning view - quick find - hard to believe it's still winter! No cyclists today - TFTC
WOW, the views up here a amazing alright!! With the Moon high in the East and the Sun just setting in the west I had the best of both of them. I look forward to bringing my nephew and nieces up here at christmas when they visit from Melbourne.

Wow, what an awesome view - even on an overcast day like today! It'd be spectacular on a good day no doubt. GZ was occupied by cyclists so until they left, I had to park down the road and eat my afternoon tea - and what a great place to park! TFTC!
After a fun day bike caching with Midi and Mini H.Hunter, Mrs HHunter headed out for her own bike ride, riding through from Reid Road for a good hill climbing session for this one. TFTC.
What a awesome view up here, cache is all good. Thank you for bring us up here.TFTC
Our last cache of the day. A nice big container and great views, very high up. TFTC
Thanks for bringing us here, fantastic view even on a cold dull day. Must come back again on a clear day. TFTC.
We timed our visit well as someone else (hunters?) parked right beside GZ not long after after we had replaced the cache and left the immediate vicinity!
Logged from our iPad while on the road this afternoon, date now corrected.

More great views from up here! A quick drive-by find and a nice sized cache too! Well worth the drive up here even just for the view alone. Grabbed geocoin for moving along. TFTC!
And what a spectacular view it is. Well worth the drive up to here. Unfortunately the sun was in the wrong place for my photos to work. Log book in good condition but cache a little empty so I added a few extras and swapped TB's. Thanks for bringing me here.
The view certainly makes the trek up here worthwhile. The kids made a swap and took the Kiwis TB out for a walk. TFTC. #60
A most splendid view indeed! ... well worth the drive up Waitao Road. Dropped off 2 trackables... 'Experience Minnesota Geocoin' & 'Geocaching All In One Geocoin 2009 Geocoin'
Checked that all was in order before the long weekend. The view was just as good as ever.
And the views were amazing. Was collecting caches in the Tauranga area and this was one of them. A really great area. TFTC
As we drove in here we saw pheasent, and Hawks, fantastic views well worth the drive up here
On a mission with Novalightning today and after a quick stop on the way over we were working on clearing an area of the countryside neither of us had ever investigated much, so on the mission continues,

Due to recent heavy rain, Waitao Road has suffered damage from flooding and slips. One part of the road has been reduced to one lane. Take care whilst driving.

Night caching with my young cousin. He is now hooked. The views up here are absolutely stunning. Really surprised by the panorama... that's right... we came to find a cache. Scrambled around a bit, and found a collection of cans and bottles. Found the cache eventually. Took the Jeep TB. TFTC. Gets a fave tick from me on account of that view.
FTF 7:15pm 24 June 2012!
The second night cache raid of the evening carried out by Mrs Splatty and myself. It was a few degrees colder up here but the view, even in darkness, was great. I took a picture but it doesn't do it justice, we will come up here one day in daylight hours for another look.
Thanks for the cache, tparty. It took me a while to find it but the clue made the job a lot easier. Left a Jeep TB to continue its journey. TFTC!
