Right off the track into the cave. We tried too hard to find this one. Really easy when you take a step back. Another good find. We may not have ventured into the cave had we not been geocaching. Thanks for spicing up with trek !!
Thanks Blackrat1414

Rode up to this one with geokid 1 - bit sandy, bit rocky, bit busy with walkers. But an interesting ride. Only one section on the east side of the lake that needed a push up (like a vertical rock garden). Had a fun scramble in and above the cave and found the cache easily with the hint. Co-ords were well out for us. Can get some good elevation and views by working your way up the left hand side of the cave. Some less rideable sections on the west side of the lake, with boggy sand making progress difficult along with some more rock garden hike-a-bike sections, but overall a worthwhile ride. My 10 year old geokid made it round but was filthy and red in the face by the end! Might be a bit easier in winter after some rain to bind the track surface down a bit. Have previously walked the trail in summer when the geokids were younger...5 and 7 I think...and that was hard work. TFTC!
Found whilst completing the Ghosthouse Trail loop with some friends. It reached over 35 degrees, so we certainly got through lots of water.
Great location no log book and co ordinates are about 10 meters off try .833 and 858
Out hunting with Bert's Cachebusters. A great little adventure with a great bush bash at the end.

Decent walk out for this one on a pleasant Sunday morning with Mr JELSH.
Interesting opening out of the limestone cliff face.

Great cave - we had our scouts own in here with a lovely couple who were also staying at Shapcotts Shelter. TFTC
Took the bikes up to Yanchep National Park, we rode along the ghost house trail (not recommended) as there are great big rocks to go up and down.
Once at the Campsite/Cave we had the cache in no time.

I walked in to Shapcotts hut on a preparatory hike for doing the Bibb track in a couple of weeks time. What a bonus that there was also a cache nearby. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk, a nice easy one, only an hour in from the Inn, although the water tank was almost dry. L:GC, TFTC.
Bad decision to read prior logs before attempting to find this cache. Took a bike and continued from a ride around the lake. Ended up pushing bike through kilometres of soft sand. Needed a cold drink from the Yamchep Inn after this one. Caching at its extreme. Thanks for the cache.
Rode/pushed our bikes around lake....thankful for rest and shade in shelter....reminded me of the Bib track....cheers Captain Cave Man
I'm positioned as a marchall at a trail run and while waiting for first runners to pass I opened the geocache app to see if there are any i can do after the race and would you know this is not even 150 m from my spot!!! Will go look after the race before running out!!!
Found after a geobike ride from the carpark near the Park entrance, I demolished the rock pile looking for the cache and then had to rebuild it once I realised I should have been at another rock pillar, after partly demolishing this one I spied the cache behind the pillar away from the rock pile, replaced in the same location.
