Hey
Mum and I found the cable tie that would have been connected to it
Looked on the ground to see if it had fallen but no luck

Looked for half an hour, but unfortunately we didn’t find this cache… Maybe it has been taken

When we visited on 16 January we could not locate the cache. There has been building works very close by and the area where the cache was hidden appears set for renovation once construction has finished.
So the cache has been relocated about 50m away, hopefully to a location where it will have a longer lifetime. The details are:
Size: micro
Coordinates: S42 51.667 E147 18.142
Hint: Hanging about 1600mm above ground level. Approach from the Clare Street side.
The CO will update the listing in due course.

We followed the directions from the comments even at the new location and a rock has been moved out off the wall and a space is there but nothing there and has been left open.
Looked for a while in where the hint makes the most sense but still could not find it, will have to try another day
Many finds ago we failed to get this, very satisfying to come back and get it quickly. Love the rat’s tail hint, cool hide! TFTC
Quick find in the new location - much easier to find with no muggles watching. TFTC!

We were in Hobart at the weekend and checked on this cache. The cache was missing, not surprising when we saw a photo which showed that no attempt had been made to rehide the cache after a find. We found the plastic cable ties that held it in place about 30m away.
Really disappointing that a previous finder had not rehidden the cache as they had found it. Obviously later finders left it where they had found it (which is understandable).
So the hide has been relocated to a rock wall about 25m away from the previous hide.
Cache is a black bison tube.
Difficulty/Terrain: 1.5/1.5
The coordinates (average of 5 sets) are S42 51.663 E147 18.192
Hint: "In a rock wall below, but not under, a small bush. Look for the rats tail."
The above details have been sent to The Travelling Sister so that the cache listing can be updated.

Couldn’t find it. Was guessing it was attached to the back of the metal backrest, but searched the whole length of it. And under it.
Not sure what the ‘bison’ hint meant. Maybe ‘by son’ burn nothing nearby that seemed to match.

This cache takes a very careful search and is probably still there. We will check it out when we are next in Hobart.
Couldn’t find it as we had little time, not sure if its gone or still there as we looked everywhere.
In Hobart for parkrun & this one was just up the street from where I was staying. TFTC
The cache is still there. As the log was nearly full it has been replaced. The red herring, often thought to be the remains of a missing cache, has been removed. Waiting to be found again.
Down in Tassie for a break before Christmas and continuing our travels around the country, wow the countryside is absolutely glorious. Happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
Wasn’t able to look for this one as there are currently roadworks all around the area, will revisit another time. TFTC- LITS
cache wasn’t quite near hint but close enough to find relatively quickly! first cache for my dad TFTC
In Hobart for other purposes, but there is always time to fit in a bit of caching eh !
Our first foray however was not successful. We found the telltale securing device (almost certainly), gps said we were right on it, but alas ! nothing attached We think it is GONE and may well need a checkup. Thanks for the cache spot anyway.

Quick find whilst working at the nearby college. No pen in my pocket sadly so will return to sign this week. Tftc!
We’ve stayed around the corner for years and have never grabbed this cache, but today was the day!
All good thanks
All good thanks

Lucky school was out which for an easy find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I almost overshot this one so i stopped and checked my map again... "Yep, over there, oh no! there's kids out the front" [:o] i thought.
It turned out good coz i was outta view given the drop-off in height.
Placed my hand directly on it thanks to the accurate co-ords, which was perfect for me seeing i was a bit nervous re: the people nearby.

{looked around just "To Be Sure, To Be Sure" before placing the cache back}

This was the first of four caches that i found today while out exploring the northern suburbs somewhat sporadically.
Not the first mary mackillop cache i've come across, and certainly not the last.
The last one from memory was in the middle of nowhere in far west queensland, cloncurry perhaps? I replaced one a local gardener had muggled thinking it trash.
So when i saw this on the map this afternoon, i made it my priority.
Took a little while of back and forth considering the lengthy option available, thankfully got there in the end through touch.
Thank you travelling sister for hiding a cache here in australia's southern most state still related to our first saint!

Came here previously when this was missing. Saw recent finds and came back. Thanks for replacement
Found with aadi_is_the_best. Given other people have failed to find it recently, I will say that it is about 15~20m east of the given GPS location, but it is still in the vicinity of the place to rest your back.

I looked everywhere and I found a zip tie where it looked like it should go but there was nothing there
After several failed attempts, I decided to bring in a friend... he found it straight away
Since we found it in 2012 the cache has been moved (2018) and was a bison tube. We located a cable tie that is assumed to have held the container, but it was no longer there.
Thanks Sue and Peter for the update. We will be in Hobart late next week. We will replace the cache then.
