how far south did we get? the most south! papabogs got us here by dunskys then we hiked out together to find the cache. isn't it wild to think the next place is antarctica?
latch of the cache has rusted away so we replaced as found with a heavy rock to keep it closed. TNLNSL

This was a cool one it took us out to a amazing spot whilst 4w driving this was a great destination.
Today I parked at Shelley Beach Lookout and walked the trail out to WA’s southern most point a fantastic walk with fantastic views took me 41/4hrs return including signing the log and having a short break thank you for the cache and bringing me to this great spot even though the easterly wind was very strong and threatening to blow me of the rock
WAGB 2021. Met at the Information board. I joined Iluvtrekking's car with richlink. Surprised to see the track as rough as before as it was in 2006. Anyway, I still enjoyed riding the car Signed as WAGB 21 4WD CONVOY for 9 teams. Thanks Gruggleberries for organising the trips.
Down for WAGB catching up with old friends and making new ones. A great weekend with a huge assortment of finds to get. Thank you to each of the COs for placing and maintaining these caches and contributing to making this weekend such a success. Out 4WDing in the car with Cravo10 & FRATRA in convoy signing as WAGB21 4WD I will admit I stopped for a ‘ladies break’ while the others finished the walk for this
Thanks for taking us on this adventure. Out for the day with the WAGB 4WD group exploring a new part of the coast line.
Final activity for WAGB 2021saw 4 vehicles tackle the Cape Howe off road tracks.
Still smiling from the enjoyable journey. With 9 teams it was decided to sign the logs WAGB 21 4WD CONVOY.
Thank you Cravo 10 for being our driver and Geotrakka for the great company.
What a way to end with our final cache. Fantastic views after a short walk to the cache. Definitely deserves a favorite for the experience.
TFTC Gruggleberries this is find # 11958 for us.

Accompanied iluvtrekking and Everlasting today. Although we have done this track several times over the years, the track today was challenging at times and encountered lots of muggle 4wders along the way. Great company afforded by all those that undertook the track together today. Thanks Gruggleberries for the cache and thanks to WAGB for organising the day trip.
We met at the info board for a 4WD convoy organised for WAGB21. This was our last stop on a fantastic journey around the cape for geo's. Thanks for organising this as I don't have the experience to attempt this sort of drive by myself. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thanks for placing this geo in this rather obscure location to entice me out of my comfort zone for some 4WD fun. TFTC
Well this was a great expedition here with 3 other vehicles and a good handful of teams we make the journey to this cache.
This is my 3rd attempt at this cache, each attempt has been cancelled due to being scared about what the track conditions would be like ahead.
With the support of three other cars I pushed past my last failed attempt and soon was purposely parked at the final location. A short walk following very faint tracks we had cache found in hand. A Fav point being awarded here for the journey and views.
Attached are some of the photos taken.

On holidays in WA from VIC and caching as we go. Staying at Denmark and noticed this cache was not far away. So I planned to spend the day and walk the tracks and get the caches in West Cape Howe National Park. Parked at Shelly beach lookout Car Park and hit the trails. I spent 5 1/2 hours and 16km, and 4 caches. It was nice and cool in the morning but once the temperature warmed up the Flies become very friendly. Saw 2 snakes, I think they were Dugites. Anyway using the rock cairns to guide me to GZ was a huge help. The cache was found quickly and a huge sense of achievement was felt. I sat down, enjoyed some lunch and rested the legs. I sat for 1/2 an hour and just soaked up the area. An amazing place to visit that not a lot of people will ever experience. This is what caching is about. An easy Favorite Point given. Will never forget this place.
Thanks **Gruggleberries**

Found while staying at cosy corner for a few days while on our lap of Aust. Cache and log in good condition. Thanks for the cache
Actually wasn't out looking for this cache! Was just taking a leisurely stroll to the tip of the state and found it there. Thanks!
It made for a good opportunity for Tank_Squad to go FWDriving for once. This was one of those 'must find' caches for me, simply for being the southernmost cache in WA. Also whoever made the trail markers is a blessing. TFTC, it was fun getting my wheelchair-bound great aunt out here.
Out for a 4wd with the family and geo hubby went for a hike will geo wifey stayed back with geo kids and muggle pop to watch the whales and eat lunch.
Nice quick find the rocks helped to find the right track TFTC definitely a favorite for us

This was awesome fun! Some full on 4WDing then follow the rock piles to the cache. We added rocks too!
Thanks for the cache and thanks Hally4 for a great day

Out on a 4wding day with kiwinic finding a couple of hiding spots and grabbed some great caches! Tftc
Wow. What an amazing location for a cache!
We packed the geotruck with a picnic, the kids and my muggle mum and set out with the goal to get this cache and a few of the others around Shelly beach... But completely underestimated how long the drive in would take. It was great fun though.
Thankyou for bringing us here, we signed the log, added a dinosaur to the collection and swapped a moose for a lion.
Thanks gruggleberries, this one was nothing short of epic

Nice cache! This point was today's goal, the way in was nice 4wd driving, really enjoyed it. And the views along the way are really good! Thanks for bringing us here.
Easy walk out to the point from the closest car park and an easy find

Awesome location - love West Cape Howe, have spent many great summers here, climbing, diving and trekking around Albany. The coastal cliffs here offer some first class climbing opportunities, and when we fiund the cache we could see the climbs we had done the day before, an area called 'Throne of Gods' wall. First time find, great trek to get here in the fourby too.

Well, I made it! This was my #1 motivation (well, #2 after visiting family) for coming out to Albany and I got to make this trek.
I walked the trail from Shelley Beach Lookout, with a slight detour along the 4WD path. The trek was relatively uneventful with a couple of snakes and some other interesting life. When I got out to the Cape and the "informal" trail, the winds picked up. I made it out to the cache after some difficulty but it was definitely worth it.
I have a bit of sentiment about reaching this cache. I'm starting a new job on Monday. By making this 15ish kilometre round trip out to the southernmost point of WA, I feel as if I have really achieved something. It's a bit of a coming of age in a way.
Thank you so much for providing this cache, the motivation and reward for doing something I've always wanted to do. It was amazing. TFTC!!

Walked in form the Shelley beach lookout, the whole trip was a bit over 16km. We really liked the area, the waves, the rocks and the ocean. TFTH
Another glorious day, with so many more caches just waiting to be found around the Albany area. We headed over this way to grab the last WA Explorer that I need before I can do the math and then tackle the 5/5 final up in the Stirling Ranges somewhere. Not sure what I am letting myself in for, but I am going to give it my best shot.
Being so close after visiting Waaay Down South, we couldn't turn around and leave this one behind. My companion had previously done the trek on foot, but this time we tackled it by 4X4. Had a great adventure along the way.
I took a celebratory drink down to gz to celebrate the occasion. See pic.
As to the question "How south can you go?", well not too much further than where the cache is, but if you are keen, or stupid, or both, you could go all the way. But I was happy to just sit there and admire the view towards Antarctica.
Another milestone reached. Thank you Gruggleberries

Traveled down to Albany and the Stirling ranges area with a mate at Easter, did this cache as part of a whole heap. Great way to see the fantastic areas on show. Good to see some really interesting areas hidden away.
Most southern point of WA, nice one to tick off the bucket list.

Headed south for a relaxing road trip with the Western Patrol Club and a mate. We stayed at Cheynes Beach before heading across to West Cape Howe and then into the Stirling Ranges for our last few nights. Beautiful coast line, awesome hills, great fishing, and some good 4wding. Gotta love this state of ours.
Great track to come down. Sore a whale for a brief moment of shore. Another corner of the map ticked off. TFTC

Found it this time wasn't keen on going so close to edge first time but great find
We are heading to the Mega in Murray Bridge SA over Easter. We camped overnight at Cosy Corner and the 4x4 caches nearby were beckoning us.
We tackled the 3 easy ones then moved towards this and Waaay down south
We had a marvellous time and thoroughly enjoyed getting out and about in the GeoCruiser. Its a great shame that people ever put that Conveyer belt matting down. Its such a hazard. We prefer the method that if the car cant do it naturally then maybe we shouldn't be going there!
Still the weather was magical and the track quite manageable taken with caution. We only met 4 other cars and 3 of them were at a bypass bay. So lucky to say the least. [^]
Alas we missed the last section of the track as it looked a little steep and with only 600metres to go we decided we might as well stop there. Car is laden with the roof rack too. Turned out we missed a new bypass track, which Mr Felix walked along to get to the carpark. (there was a car already there when he arrived, no sign of the occupant) He followed the cairns along to the cache. Took loads of photos at GZ.
We thank you for bringing us to the furthest south point of WA. We loved the 4x4 driving and finding the cache.
TFTC Gruggleberries A fave from us.

Another incredible view! A five hour walk from the lookout to the 'Waaay Down South' cache, then over to 'How South Can You Get' and back to the lookout. I do need the exercise though.
In trying to determine the furthest cache from my home coordinates, I realize the GZ put me in the middle of the ocean south of Australia. This cache seems to me to be the closest cache to the furthest point away from my house... if that makes any sense. Hence, this is now my goal. It may take me a while, but I will get there (or here). Greetings from Canada.
Completed this cache while we were in the area. Took the turnoff from the Dunsky's track to the carpark. Easy to follow the cairns from there. Thanks to those who keep adding the stones. makes it easy and safer for those who come later. It was a pity that it was blowing a gale up at GZ, as it would have been nice to sit and enjoy the spectacular view. Could not even hold the camera still for a photo. Great place to visit, and very satisfying to know we have visited WA's most southern tip.
Great day out finding this one. Lovely views, lovely walk, and a good cache, very neat and well planned. Didn't see any arrow, but then maybe it wasn't where I was. Cache was easy enough to find without though. Finished the day with a swim at Dunsky beach and what a lovely day it all made! Thanks.
Friends brought us in via the 4WD tracks. Great new meshing on the worst part of the track. Cooling swim and lunch at Dunsky's Beach. Very hazy all round at Torbay Head, however good views of the cliffs. Thanks for bringing us here.
That was great. A favorite spot of mine and never thought to look for your cache. Not a good idea to tackel it from the rock face side or in 50 knot winds. Great cache with our cache friends "team ERMALESH"
Found on a trip to Kalgan River for Christmas with friends the hutchowie's. Great drive in, stopped for lunch at a protected beach round the corner. Walked the hard way in along the eastern face and over the top half way, it was then that it wasn't such a good idea to be wearing a hat. Took a little while to find GZ as we were using the iPhone, couldn't see the hints locale. Great location and views, beat the encrouching rain by mere minutes. TNLNSL. TFTC.
We can now say we have found the oldest cache in Oz, the furthest north cache in Oz, the highest cache in Oz and the most Southerly cache in WA!
What breathtaking views to be had at this point. We took heaps of photos as we hung on to our hats in the strong winds!
Thanks for bringing us to this stunning place.

It's rather satisfying to have visited WA's most southern tip. We enjoyed some time at Dunsky Beach on our way out, but the hike to this tip was well worthwhile. Thanks to the Gruggleberries!
What a great cache for our 300th find. We combined this one with the other caches in the area and got to this one a bit later then we had hoped. We got as far as we could go by car and then trekked the remainder 450m to the cache. We, as the Southern Boomers were in our element and we bounded to GZ and found it quickly. Pity we couldn't stay any longer as it was a great evening. Good to be able to say we have been to the most southern part of mainland WA. Took compass, left Poncho. Cache is in good condition. TFTC Gruggleberries.
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Yet another wonderful spot great walk, the cairns were very useful in guiding us - very fortunate the weather was so good. TFTC&H Gruggleberries
We had only gone in to Dunsky's by 4WD previously and the last time saw a bit of side-step being scraped off by a rock. This time we decided to do the walk. Didn't see much wildlife: a few bobtails and some birds was about it. But it was a nice day for a hike and the sunshine was nice.
When we got to Dunsky's Cupcake headed down to the beach and was rewarded with seeing a humpback whale in close. Tango made his way up the headland to nab the cache. Incredible views from GZ.
All up we were back at the car at Shelleys after 4 and a quarter hours. It was a bit harder than we'd thought, the overgrown sections of track do need a haircut and are a bit painful. Hopefully lots of cachers will take the track and clear it up a bit.
Thanks for a nice day out Gruggleberries - it scores a favourite point from us.

Set off from the glider pads at the lookout after claiming that cache and although the weather was kind on the way in, everything was wet. Ah well, soldier on.
Followed the Bib Track up to where I had to make a turn then crashed through the overgrown pathway to get to the sandy 4wd track. This isn't going to be fun on the way back to the car.
Noticed the multiple vehicle tracks on the way in appeared fresh and one was from a tracked vehicle. When I was 2/3 the way to GZ I saw their origins. Workers laying down plastic grates for the 4WD's. Startled them on way way through with a cheerful "Good morning!" and received a few WTF looks in return. Was asked by the lady in the group if I was there to help. Sorry, no.
Anyway, on to GZ and made the find (FTF) at 1145am. Track sloppy in a couple of places from the rain.
On my way back through I was lucky the workers were having lunch. Told them I was here to help but as they were having smoko I couldn't hang around waiting for them to finish.
Whole journey saw me cover 16.6kms on foot (also did the Waaay down south cache) and by the time I got back to the car at 2pm I was drowned head to toe from the pathway portion and was absolutely buggered.
Loved it!!
