On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Last day in New Zealand. All fun things come to end. Will defenitely come back! Today our trip continued from Hamilton to Auckland Airport. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. No luck with this one.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!

Nice sunny day just finished playing rugby, no muggles in park. Quick easy find.

found as part of team stik-a-crane now logging under my own name ... I was there to help make the find but wanting a map and history of my own unique kind.
Found this one in the dark after a DNF and 1 success.
Failing light made this one a little harder but after a DNF was not going to let this beat us.
Glad the playground was not busy.
TFTC.

398 Night time find and was concerned when I arrived as ivy has recently been sprayed. Cache still nicely hidden behind dying stalks. Log wet so left 1 of mine.
Tftc. The log is a bit damp, probably from all the rain we have had recently. Maybe it should be put in a snap lock bag?
Have had this written down for a long time and finally was able to action it on a trip to Hamilton today. Found it and then was caught by a neighbour on my way back to the car. She informed me that she has seen lots of couples heading over to that area of the park, and wanted to know what it was all about. I introduced her to the world of geocaching - her curiousity is now satisfied. TFTC
Our first international cache while visiting from Oz! Told my mum we were looking for treasure.. She didn't believe me till we found it. TFTC
My students had Technology (Manual) this week. I had a bit of free time to look at some more Waikato puzzles. I now have lots of scraps of paper with coordinates scrawled on them. Decided to action some today or run the risk of losing the papers. Also collecting Traditionals along the way...
On the way to another puzzle final. Stopped at this very 'open' park to look for the cache. Took a moment to lock onto ground zone... and even longer to find the cache. Eventually got there before the neighbours got suspicious. They were just getting ready to drive out. TFTC.

Had to wait for a couple of muggles to disappear before trying for this cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
I've been past this cache at least once but the park was busy; this one requires good timing. More luck today. Thanks for the cache.
Staying overnight on our way to Tauranga so thought we would find a couple of caches nearby. nice little evening walk. Nice find. TFTC
A quick stop on my way to walk around some other local caches, nice easy find thanks to the hint.
This cache is by far the closest to my home, but unfound by me for soooo long. Took advantage of having my great-nephew from oz staying with me and took him for a walk to find this on a lovely sunny day (after the fog lifted!). Took a few minutes to spot the well hidden cache. Thanks very much kiwiteachernz
Nice to finally have found this one after a couple of earlier unsuccessful attempts. My wife spotted it almost instantly, which was great because I had spent a couple of minutes looking in just that spot without any success. TFTC.
While looking unsuccessfully for this (again) I was muggled by an older man who lives alongside the park. He said he is the leader of an unofficial neighbourhood watch who keep an eye on what's going on in the park. He had seen me get out of the car and walk across the feild so came to see why!! I tried to explain but he didn't seem to be able to grasp the concept. Although we shook hands he was not happy. I wonder if it may be an idea to drop this one.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
TFTC Found with Becsicasa after I'd heard it was a bit of a hard find. Quick find after changing torches
Was told this one was a little tricky and that it was, until the AHA! moment when Z-NZ spotted it. Very well camo-ed.

Came to town early (on my way to see a mate in Tamahere) so I could scoop up a few of the Nawtons. Thanks.
A quick find this evening as we tackle a few of these after dark. Onto the next! TFTC!
Will replace within the week as there's still a good hiding place for this one.
Nothing for me today. At the coords and where the hint suggested. Has it moved? or am I blind?
Found on our trip home from the snow - with a detour to CANZ Matawatu & Taranaki...
This was the last stretch of our journey. We camped out in New Plymouth, and then cached our way back to Auckland today.
A bit of a hard find. Park was filled with kids, so we had to time our peeks right. Then when we finally found the coords, they were about 14m out for us, and I'd say that compared to the hint, depending which one you were talking about, it was 5m from. But perhaps that's cache creep or kids finding it, as there was a very likely spot where the coords were saying that matched the hint.
TFTC!!

Found with Sonia26642 on our way back to Auckland with a slight detour.
This one took a while since there were a few muggles around but eventually found it.

Looks like this one has been disturbed by a lawn mower. Placed it back in a safe location.
Very easy find with kadin92, his dad and little sister while visiting from Australia
Well hidden, definitely needed the hint. Interesting gentleman jogging around and around the park. TFTC
I don't think anyone will find this cache accidentally it is so well placed in it's hidey hole. TFTC
Thought we would complete this series early in the morning before anyone was up and about. No worries here and TFTC

The hint made short work of the find, park deserted ast this time of the morning! TFTC

One of our more successful hunts around Nawton. Mother and children in the playground ignored us, and cache was easily found.
What NZFlossy meant was I had my glasses on and found it before her!!! We are not competitive at all

tried finding this one but only found bag that may have held log book so may have been muggled or maybe too tall for candiestriped
someone beat me to putting one here. will have to go for a walk a bit later to get it
After visiting daughter in delivery suite after finishing work I just couldn't resist a token FTF on the way home.
Got here around 0120 and had a look around. There didn't appear any place obvious.
Looked a lot further afield and bingo. Think the co -ords are a bit off here. In fact they take you to the other side of the park. Using my Samsung Galaxy 3 tonight so no better co -ords avail. Luckily bit in description helped.
BTW baby is coming a month early. Ill be getting a call in a few hrs to go back to the suite. All good so far.
Oh of course and another FTF

Had a look earlier in the day, but came up empty, after the co-ords were updated it was easily located
