Seems we’re first to drop in after the fires last January. The whole area is devastated and the cache didn’t stand a chance. Beautiful regrowth in the area

Today, we decided to grab some straggler caches and also to get clues for more multi's so we can spend a day and clean them up.
We made the easy drive from home to Buchan, then headed out here to get the 5X caches in the immediate area. The two caches along this road were nice easy finds, with the air temperature freezing with a brisk breeze.
Thanks Madstars for the caches here.

Didn't look to hard, but wonder if it was taken. Someone left poo paper 2m from GZ, so they may have been staring straight at it. Kind felt grossed out, so didnt look for long.
Our last cache for the day, and what a gorgeous view! Thanks for placing this here. Kids made swaps and we left a TB. Now to head back to our campsite in Buchan. TFTC
It's been an epic adventure getting here. We started our journey at Mount Kosciosco on September 18th snowshoeing our way down to Dead Horse Gap then hiking for several days until we reached the Snowy River near Pinch River campground. We then spent the next 8 days rafting our way down the snowy tackling rapid after rapid and seeing some amazing things along the way. We've had a pretty amazing trip (which continues tomorrow headed for the coast).
We arrived at camp relatively early today and with the sunshine beading down we all got to relaxing. I took a walk up the hill from the river to get phone reception which I haven't had since we left the snow on the second day. More relaxing was done late arvo and preparations were made for impending thunderstorms and torrential rain to hit us but it never came. 6pm rocked around and I switched on my GPS to see what was coming up in the next few days only to see a few caches up on the top of the hill I started walking earlier. With sunset only an hour away I decided I could still make it to a couple of them so I quickly darted up the hill and made it to this cache before to long.
It was a bit tricky to find and I didn't really like sticking my hand somewhere I couldn't see into but fortunately I felt the cache straight away.
Happy to be giving this one some love after almost a year unfound.
Nice view up here tonight and no thunderstorm in sight!

South Coast January 2015. I spent a few sunny days exploring from Eden to Orbost and beyond. A very interesting part of the country. The forest drive to these five caches was very peaceful. The road was recently graded and smooth and only one other car while I was up here. Five great caches in a very hot forest. Thanks.

After walking to rocky outcrop there was no harm in continuing to walk the 200 or so meters to this one. The view would have been spectacular had it not been raining and heading into dusk. This one had the clan going around a bit. There was a local predator who had obviously made GZ a spot to grab a bite to eat. Alpha male made the find and we began the decent back to the car. TFTC
Where is the tree? Thats my question. Couldn't see much today due to the mist, but that did give it an interesting atmosphere. Thanks for the cache.

On our 10th day on holiday in Australia we visited Snowy River National Park coming from the Lake Entrance. This cache was easily found on our way back.

Having a break from the hustle bustle of everyday life with a stop over in Buchan with the geo family for a few days. This group of caches popped up on the radar and we thought lets go . Decided these two nearby caches weren't far away from our last cache (rocky knob) so geo dad grabbed the older geo kids for the walk while geo mum looked after the littilies under the shade of a tree.
Thanks Madstars for a great set of caches in this beautiful area .

Have been down this way for the last three years, and probably won't be back for a while. I love Buchan and the people I hang out with down here. Tftc
Coming this far into the bush we had to do Rocky Outcrop and One Tree Hill at the same time. It was a bit cool today and rain was threatening. The views were great (see picture). Soooooo many trees have fallen and been cleared from the tracks in this area we were lucky to find a way through.
Many thanks for placing a cache here Madstars we enjoyed the challenge. Took the Navy TB and left a Dutch Floriade programe for 2012 in Venlo.

[maroon]I had 5min this afternoon of nothing to do, so I thought I would go for a drive and get this cache and the "Rocky Outcrop" cache as well.
Whilst I was signing the log I could hear two Lyrebirds going through their repertoire.
Thanks Madstars for bringing me to this great area with a great view. Was surprised there was more than one tree here though.
