A short hunt turned up the prize. A great place for a hike with the Geopooch. TFTC Allied Pranksters.

I can see some more bush caches on the horizon now that the cooler weather has arrived. TFTC

As I passed through the Gates of Hell I was heralded by a flock of red tailed cockatoos. They then proceeded to drop large gumnuts on me while I searched for the cache. TFTC.

After a stressful day at work what better way to unwind than a lovely walk in the peaceful bushland with m4yb and my Geodogs Bobble and Zotti. While we were at it we collected 14 smiley faces and none of the blue DNFs. Most of then were fairly easy finds on GZ with only a couple of head scratchers. Hopefully these caches and series are saved from the soon planned control burn in the area. TFTCs Allied Pranksters

Had a very pleasant walk in this bushland with WebblyWA and her geodogs, and collected another 14 caches in this series. Most were quick finds with a couple taking a bit longer andno DNF's. TFTC AP and bringing us here today.

Started a little circuit at this one today. Took us nearly two hours to do 331 to 339. Skipped 338, seemed to be off the path. Will be back to b do more!

Found AP 332 Gates of Hell. This is the first cache of the day and the continuation of the Pranksters Land Series which I did on 05 Jul 2016 (Tue). TNLN SL TFTH Allied Pranksters.

Hello Allied Pranksters - I found this cache today (my find # 3305) and the cache is in good condition. It was a quick find and sign while out in the bush in this area and hunting caches at the same time. The coordinates are good and the cache and log are in good condition. Out with AlliedOz in the area after dropping the geokids of at school ive been looking at this series for some time when Allied mentioned it i'm like yeah lets go. The plan was to knock off as many as we could before pickup, Think we found 33 with some other interesting finds!! refer to AlliedOz's post but coming into contact with the wild pigs (now that was an eye opener) Thanks for bringing me to this area as I will return to finish these series TFTC!!!

Today Rokadz and I decided our hunt would take place in prankster territory, we started shortly after dropping off the kids to school and finished just prior to having to pick them up. About 33 finds and no DNFs made for a fun walk up and down up and down during the morning, before moving the car to tackle some flatter terrain.

Most caches were found with minimal searching, trusting the GPS and the GZ to a point, then expanding our search when the obvious spot yielded nothing

While taking a direct line from one cache to another we stumbled across a “growers” area with pipes, fenced off areas to keep the roos out, water res and various other bits and pieces, no product but be aware in the right season be alert.

Wildlife for the day included many small birds, some very noisy Black Cockatoos, many a Roo and a family of wild pigs! [:o] Some smaller wildlife as well, I picked up a personal best of 14 ticks for the day where Rokadz only scored two. [:|]

Thanks Allied Pranksters, we enjoyed the area, the walk and intend to return for the rest soon.
Fun series well worth the walk, with some of the area (up top) suitable for bikes.

A quick move of the car to tackle this section, and we are off walking past the first one next to the road, as we figured we would grab it when we returned, time was against us after a big walk..so next time!

Teamed up with geo friends the Gaskys for a beautiful walk with the kids and geo dog. It got dark rather quickly and the kids enjoyed some night caching. Thanks for this great series and we will be back for more

Magnificent bush. Good to be on a track again after last week's gnome series

Had the day off today so decided to grab the geohound Charli and head into 'Pranksters Land'. Parked up about 10:30am near AP 372 Venus and got back around 5:45pm.

Ended up walking nearly 14k's and had 34 finds with 2 DNF's, had to bypass a few on the homeward stretch as it was getting late, (and cold). Most were fairly quick finds with a few curly ones thrown in. A little bit of bush bashing here and there and some serious ups and downs on the western side.

A very fulfilling day indeed and I will be back to clean up the ones I missed. Thanks so much for the series Allied Pranksters.

Tftc - great walk in the outdoors with the geokids

I decided to go and grab some smilies with the geo-dog in Prankster Land today. The plan of attack was vague and I was under no illusions that I could complete all of the series' in one afternoon.

I parked the geo-Camry at AP 331 and headed off into Prankster Land from there. It turned out to be an enjoyable afternoon, with beautiful weather, a mostly successful caching run (26 finds and 2 DNFs), with the first find logged at 1:41pm and the last at 6:23pm. As I'm writing the logs, I'm feeling like I've had a reasonable workout and the dog is knackered.

This one was the first find of the day (as I intially DNF at 331) and found quickly in an obvious location. Signed the log and headed off toward AP 333, Thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters.

With the weather set to be a bit cooler today (and some kid-free time), we decided to hit the Byford Hills for a cache or two! Setting off on foot, the weather was a bit cloudy making it a nice day for a walk The name of this cache had us a bit worried, but thankfully Jase was quickly onto this one! Tried to do some bush-walking in the cool weather to get closer to the 1000 milestone. Most caches were easy to spot, but met a couple of really cheeky ones as well. Thanks for the series!

Today, we went for a stroll in the hills to visit Pranksters Land.
We saw lots of birds, some kangaroos and some really nice scenery with views.
Oh, we also found some caches on the way.
The weather got a little too warm around lunch time, so we stopped for the day.

An RDO today and I decided to head into this area for the first time. I started out with a small loop and each cache was easy to find with the coordinates spot on. What a wonderful area this is, I think I will be bringing my mountain bike next time. TFTC Allied Pranksters.

Headed out today with Geoson (Ceekay 2003) to go and tackle some of the Pranksters in the hills.
This was to be my first day out with my new Oregon 650T and I was looking forward to it. Had spent last night loading up PQs and getting it all ready or so I thought
My PQs didnt cover the first 5 in the series so it was a combination of some saved lists on my iphone, Ceekays iphone, and some dodgy phone reception for some.
We got to use the GPS around the 5th find and continued on with that.

Second AP cache of the day with kyzabra TFTH Allied Pranksters

I set out this morning for a big day of caching. I had a target list of 57 caches and had a route planned of around 16km as the crow flies. After 6.5 hours I had found 55 caches, had DNF's on two and had covered a distance of around 20.5km. The day got off to a shaky start when I found I didn't have the cache details in my GPS. Thankfully I had the locations as a route so knew where to go, I just didn't have the details about each cache. This made things interesting later in the day. Somewhere along the way I picked up my 2000th GC.com geocache. Thanks for a great series.

I had a grand plan for today, and even drew up a great map by joining the dots in Paint of my plan of attack. But somehow I always manage to underestimate how long it will take me to find caches.

Well, it started off slow after my non-geo hubby wanted to go out for breakfast, so I didn't park the car at my start point (AP 331) until 9:38. I flew through the first 11, but slowed down a lot after that, and in the end I had to cut my loop a little short and also skip the other 4 nearby caches.

All up I ended up walking 16.5kms on my GPS trip meter, getting back to the car at 4:54, and finding 45 caches, with 3 DNFs. By the time I got back to the car I was stuffed, but I enjoyed the hike.

My second for the day, and straight away I followed the wrong path at the fork, so I was in for a scramble through the bush to reach GZ. Once there it was a quick find however.

With the Sou Wester blowing 40knots and the seas frothing like hungry dogs it was time to take a visit to Prankster Land. Only a short sail today TFTC.

Having nearly recoverd from completing the "golden" series recently, we decided that today is likely to be the last suitable, weather wise, to start on this series. Completed this circuit with 21 finds and only one DNF so we felt very pleased with the effort. 5.4km on this circuit. So far no ticks to report but we were accompanied all day by hoards of gigantic March flies. Fortunately for us, they do not like Bushman repellant that we had libreally appiled. Caches all in good condition and waiting----! AS this was the end of the circuit for us today, have a well earned fav from us. Deserves two. TFTC Allied Pranksters

[:(!] Went for an afternoon of caching to do a bit more of this series, parked the geocar close as possible to GC3PGVE and walked to a number of caches from there, arrived at GZ and within a matter of minutes I had the cache in hand. TNLNSL TFTC/TFTH

Found by the girls team of richlink & iluvtrekking. Cache #2 all very straight forward except for loosing my pen, had to complete the series without being able to take notes, very annoying.

Joined up with iluvtrekking to make an assault on the Pranksters Land series. Split into two teams - girls and guys and the girls got this section of 26 caches. Enjoyed the walk around the tracks and picked up most of the caches only logging one DNF. This was a quick find.

Out and about with trevkevred and the 3 geodogs today to find some wood, some sins and other nasties...reminds me of having to go to confession when I was a child ...of course nowadays I don't because I do not commit any sins [^]

Out caching with Me&B and 3 geodogs who as usual had lots of new smells to sniff at. This was a welcome quick find compared to the last one. TFTH Allied Pranksters.

Out to today with 1QSeeker for company, to catch up on some of the caches I missed when I couldn't come out to play last week. Quick find & great track with lots of wildflowers in bloom.

OOH YEH and I decided that today we would finish off this series and as it was going to be 29C, we were both hoping that this would be an easier walk than our last two visits. We were in luck, the terrain was far easier than the mountain goat terrain of previous walks. In saying that, I am sure that we went the most adventurous way possible.

No:2 for the day and we were greeted with another quick find, we are liking this.

After a successful morning hunting wild dogs on the lowlands Keego, Chil and I headed to Byford for morning tea and then up the hill to ‘Pranksters Land’. Parking at AP 331 we started on the Dante series, which way to go that was a problem that took some discussion.

Most were found after a short search but as could be expected by the Pranksters not all were found in the stated three locations and some were just nasty.

A great day of caching today with ShortCutHicksy to do a caching run in the hills of Byford and to tackle some of the Dante series. We parked at AP 331, where saw another vehicle parked, guessing someone else was caching this morning. It turn out to be Blingg, who had been there since 9.00am.

We decide to do a part of the series in a clockwise direction, after some discussion between us all. Most find were easy and did not take us long, we found 19 traditionals, 1 mystery and 1 DNF at Dantes Anger which was quite apt by the end. It was one of the last caches so we may have been a bit tired..

Parked the geoute near AP 331 at 0855 and proceded to walk around in an anticlockwise direction, only had to backtrack between AP 342 and AP 346, most were quick finds as they were close to my GZ but others were quite diabolical to find as I eventually found them up to 8m away.
All in all a great day to be out walking in the bush
After collecting all except the 7 on the escarpment I arrived back at the geoute at 1345 for the drive back to Byford for coffee and a trudge up the hills for the last of the series

Accompanied with SpatialRiq, The Machman and FelixII on this full days expedition.. [^] [^].. Better to search with 8 eyes instead of 4 eyes.. It was excellent team work - the finds were made by a different cacher each time mostly, that is till SpatialRiq was about to leave us and he started finding quite a few in a row! ....I enjoyed the walk following the path mostly... Sometimes we bush bashed but watched out for ticks of course...We were all wearing long trousers and boots thanks to the warnings of the previous finders.

We were very lucky with the weather today, slightly overcast, which meant that it wasn't too hot. Maybe 22-24 degrees would be the hottest it got.

The Caches were all found quite quickly (except one), which enabled us to keep moving and take a little time to relax over lunch.

When I got home - I felt worn out and enjoyed a hot shower. Next morning I was a bit stiff but no blisters like FelixII has. oops ouch...

A really big day out on the walking trails of the Darling Range Regional Park with Spatial Riq,
Everlasting and Felix II, seeking out all 50 caches in this new Allied Prankster offering.

It was a perfect cool temp for a full days walk, so we set off at a leisurely pace.
We didn't have a definite route planned, preferring to just follow our noses and complete
the maze of caches in the most logical order we could.

The Caches were all found in good time (bar one), which enabled us to keep moving and take some
extra time to relax over lunch.

They were placed over variable terrains, some on well formed paths whilst others involved some cross country treks and a few where the inevitable bush bash was unavoidable!!

Unfortunately we saved the most challenging hilly terrains until the very end of the day when our energy levels were most depleted....so the last few were really a struggle, but we were not leaving until finished so kept on going until the last log was found and signed.

I had a lot of fun today, a great walk in a previously unexplored park, with some good company.

Thanks for your time and efforts putting together another series and for a great days entertainment.

What a great day to take off work for a spot of caching ... well a full days caching!

After being asked numerous times over the past year to come along on a day of caching I finally decided to go, even though I wasn't technically asked this time
After meeting up with FelixII and the machman last friday for a coffee the plan was hatched to take the day off and cache til our feet ached.

Glad I did as it was a perfect day to be in the hills, not too hot, not too cold, and great company, and only 1 tick acquired ... which I didn't find until about 10pm

Everlasting, FelixII, Machman and myself set off from the AP 331 'Dark Wood' cache with no real plan of how to tackle the rest. After a few brief conversations at each junction
we soon worked out a near optimum trail. Setting off around 8:30am we returned back for lunch around 1pm having completed 30 caches, a good mornings effort.

After lunch we did the northern loop of 13 caches, this included about a 700m bush bash which wasn't too strenuous in fairly light bush cover .. apart from everyone's favourite, Parrot Bush!

Unfortunately I had family commitments so had to bid farewell to the others after this, so 43/50th completed. Will need to return another day to get, what I hear are some fun hides.

Thanks for an enjoyable series Allied Pranksters. Great series to do, my first days caching, and first 'power trail'. Definitely worthy of a fav!

Hmm Mrs Felix and Everlasting have been planning a caching day for at least 10 days. We weren't sure where we might head then we spotted this newly published series and decided that this series might fit the bill.

Then on Friday Mrs Felix "just happened" to catch up with The Machman and SpatialRiQ whilst out caching (and having coffee) somehow they both cottoned on to a big caching day in the making

Well they weren't going to be left out of that, so they both were on a mission to obtain leave from work for today, guessing they achieved the permissions required as they were both with us today!

Well this was the first cache we logged at 08:33 this morning after leaving home at 0630 (yep takes 1 hour from Pearsall to Byford!) So we parked at 331 for the walk to all except 364-370 (which were an epic in their own right)

We had an absolute blast tackling this series as a group of geo friends. There were some thrills, spills and almost tears by the end, but wow what an experience so much fun sharing with friends.

The gravel can be slippery, particularly on the way down. So glad that the weather was far kinder to us than yesterday for Wiley and Rudi. We had 2 of the caches on our watchilist and saw their logs come in last night, which I quickly forwarded to our expedition crew. So we were all dressed and supplied with water to meet the major requirements of this series. Weather however of course is unpredictable, but it was actually looking like rain when we set out[8)]. Pretty certain we simply could not have completed the full series in any hotter weather.

First cache was at 0833 and the last was at 1740. But not back to the car till after 1800 as the sun disappeared and not home till 1915hrs.

Definitely goes down in the FelixII hall of fame. So much so that when Mrs Felix eventually arrived home she was met by Mr FelixII (who was home on a day off?) and told she was SERIOUSLY ADDICTED [:o)].... (news to me right?)

Awesome job by the CO and such a wonderful dedication!

It has been a while since Mr Wileclan and I had an opportunity to take a day and cache. Today we grabbed the chance and decided to undertake a full assault the latest Allied Prankster Series in the Wungong Regional Park. Loaded with water, GPS and Camera, the attack on these caches were planned.
We arrived at the gate to the to the park, secured the car, to prevent any marauding pirates from claiming the car as their own transport.

The first nice Sunday in Spring, forecast for 29° C, we zeroed the track function in the GPS and off we went. The hides ranged from simple finds along well formed tracks, to the requirement to climb hills going cross country to the next cache. The hides also differed in style and type of hide, but perseverance eventually paid off and we achieved all 50 caches.

We were surprised at the constantly changing terrain we were experiencing. A luckily we were able to guess the good paths, the caching gods were looking after us today.

Not sure why the name but the Black Cockatoo was acting as a sentry to the gates

Checking the tracks in Base Camp gave the details, 17.2 Kilometres walked, over hilly terrain. Descended 428 m , ascended 467 metres, and the average height difference was 122.6 metres. The entire tasking took 6 hours and 51 minutes.

One log fits them all!!

Rudi63 and I saw this published but left it until we could get a day off from our respective better halves. Today was the day and we headed out for some fun in the sun. At first I laughed at rudi63 as he was wearing jeans while I wore shorts. That all changed once the first lot of bush bashing started!! Oh yeah, bush bashing, we did a bit of that. Lets say that we made some caches a lot harder terrain than what was listed! We also struggled to find some caches, but others were a breeze. I think the ones in the rocks were the hardest.

Overall today we walked something like 17.7 km in 6 hrs 52 mins with an elevation change between highest and lowest points of 120m. Don't you love the things that your GPS is logging!!!

Thanks for the caches Allied Pranksters, we did enjoy them although you nearly had us beaten at one point

I managed to convince Mr gleakk to come caching on Fathers' day and was looking for a series which had a nice walk, lots of finds and was not too challenging for the kids. I couldn't believe my luck when this perfect series popped up the night before! We'd planned to do 15 of the series but only managed 5, I guess you can guess how much Mr gleakk enjoys caching lol. We were 2TF for the 5 caches we did do, all found fairly easily - I don't know how we could have gone by torchlight though. TFTC, can't wait to complete the series.

Joint *FTF* with Gwiber 0217 hrs

Had fun walking around the bush on a moonlit night finding small containers in odd places. Some were hard in the torchlight but would be OK in the day and some were just hard . Only one DNF during the night and 37 finds which were all first to find. Perhaps other cachers were more sensible and decided not to go out in the dark.

Gwiber had fun taking pictures of various things in the bush and a few 'things' flying above us. I think she got a good shot of the moon itself.
