Logs
Had a good search for this cache but looks like it's no more as the forest has been burnt in the last twelve months
This took some finding and whilst I had the time at camp the March flies were very friendly at the time. Great stop
on the walk from Collie to Balingup.

I came in to Noggerup from Mumballup pub doing a Bibbulmun Track maintenance run, and ran into a couple of end-to-end hikers set up for the night at the campsite. While one of them was off gathering firewood, he stumbled across the cache and brought it back to the shelter.
He didn't know what it was and was wondering if there was some sort of prize for finding it... The other hiker seemed to know a bit about it, so we explained what geocaching was to him. He thought it all sounded a bit mad.
So I signed the log and he signed the log and put it back where he said he found it (hopefully). But you might want to think about relocating this a little further away from the campsite itself, or I fear it shan't be long before it gets muggled again, especially as the winter sets in and hikers regularly scour the surrounding bush for firewood.
Thanks for the cache.

It was a cold wet walk today and I was tired when I got to the camp. The rain had stopped long enough to head up for the find. Didn't have too much trouble finding it. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache AusTrackers. This one has been on my list for quite sometime. So today was the day, after finding other caches in the area. I came in from the south first along Lawence rd, then I took a road north towards the cache, this only led me around in a disorientating circle. On Lawence rd. I did come across the Bibbimum track which would've quicker to walk the two kilometres, but I was enjoying the drive. To get to the cache I followed the edge of the pine plantation up to the corner then east towards the cache along a unnamed track. This got me within 900 meters probably as close as I'm going to get without bush bashing. The walk was quite peaceful and didn't take as long as I thought so probably should've hoofed it from the start.
This section of the Bibbimum is a old tram track so is quite flat and straight, easy walking. These tram tracks were used to haul logs out logs before trucks. Between where I parked and the cache is a old loading ramp made out of logs that have been cut by hand.
The area that has been selected for the hut is really picturesque and worth the walk. I wouldn't mind doing it during the spring when all the wild flowers are out.
Thanks again I really enjoyed this cache and always good to fill out another D/T rating. I will be adding a favourite point.

I arrived at the hut from Yabberup in time for lunch but went and found the cache before allowing myself the break. Hard to belive it has been so long since this cache was last found and only one previous finder. TFTC.
FTF Yay, this was a great challenge and it was a lot of fun. This was a our 4th FTF for the weekend, three of which were massive bush adventures. Today started out as a lovely, sunny day with a FTF in Geographe followed by a Dockers win. A good, big win in fact (and that's from an Eagles supporter). We had intended finding this cache for a few weeks but circumstances didn't allow it. So as we headed for the car after the game this afternoon it began to pour and we got soaked just getting in. Plus Mr M had left his window down, not good. The rain got heavier and the sky grew darker as we got closer to Mumballup and we kept looking at each other, saying "What are we doing this for? It'll be dark soon. We must be crazy."....and so on. Then we would grin, look ahead and keep on going. We headed for this after the FTF of Yabberup and by then it was very dark (but not raining anymore) and the trek in was a bit more treacherous. A fair bit of backtracking to find a suitable pathway as well. A giant tree is lying across the Bibbulmun Track at one point. Nice to find another nice hut along the track. Might actually get to use one in the future we hope. A great little hunt, thanx. What a massive way to use up several hours. Took the lovely prize and card. TFTC and TFTFTF.
