After two searches of the obvious places I proceeded to do a hands and knees crawl of the entire fence. Naturally the cache was at one end - the far end! The cache outer is holed letting in snails. The log was fine, once I confinced the snails to let me open it, but they had already eaten the code, which is a bit of a shame. Still, Lonely Cache (no surprise).
I am tired of my streak. Of getting out and getting just one cache. It gets boring. Or something. So today I headed away from Wellington (away from my store of caches-for-my-streak) to the Wairarapa to get a bunch more. Maybe even ten. Maybe even more! Woohoo!

Out on a cycling tour of the Wairarapa District. We stayed in Martinborough after tasting the local vintage. Thanks for hiding Skindo
This is a very nice hide. Found it straight away.
Thank you for servicing it.

TFTC. Staying nearby to attend a wedding, and managed to find this one before checking into our accommodation. Cache all dry.
If it is Friday it must be Martinborough. We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 25 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. We have planned a driving tour of both the north island and the south Island. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 4:10 PM. Thank you skindo for placing and maintaining this cache.
Originally parked on the wrong side of the bridge but after sorting this out the cache was easily grabbed. Thanks CO for the cache.
We have hopped across the ditch from Melbourne to attend the WENZ Mega. This cache was found on our long weekend. After a lovely wine tasting and lunch n town we ventured into the surrounds to hopefully have better luck than our morning caching escapade!
Thanks for placing M @ Martinborough (Wairarapa) so we could find it. Many thanks skindo for the caching fun.

Day 13 of our NZ adventure. An early morning bike ride from our accommodation in town to grab a coffee & set about locating some caches. All found without any problems. Returned to our accommodation and set off with our friends to Cape Palliser. Climbed the steps to the lighthouse and nearly blown way. Admired the seals and then headed to Lake Ferry for a late lunch at the Hotel enjoying their famous fish and chips. A quick grab here and on my way
The code for the themed series has faded into obscurity now (although it has probably had its day anyway), and the log is like a sponge slowly decaying to compost. The container and its well-chosen hide remain intact though, and active judging by the clear geotrail in the last 5 metres or so to the fence. TFTC.
Found while in Martinborough for a weekend of cycling around town on Saturday morning and then driving out to Lake Ferry in the afternoon for some sightseeing. TFTC
I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
I stayed in Martinburough last night and will slowly head to a walk and back looking for geocaches.
This may be my last find today.

Thanks. skindo for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find for me.
A big mission over the hill today, focusing on Skindo's A to Z and 2 from 2 series caches, but picking up others along the way.
Took slightly more than a few seconds to locate this one - but soon got there in the end. So glad to almost get all of the level 1 caches completed - just the one to go. TFTC

An easy day today. We set off walking from the campsite at the other side of the village to visit some vineyards. After a delicious lunch at the nearby Vineyard Cafe, we wandered down the road for a quick find here. SL. TFTC.
Greetings from Australia, we were visiting some really good friends who we hadn't seen for 3 years, and also visiting the area to see if we could add some smiles we managed to try a few in the area, even though we didn't manage all the local caches we do hope to return to add more smiles soon, log signed and replaced as found, log was wet though Thanks for the cache and the fun
I have a full day meeting in Wellington starting early on Monday morning, so I decided to take a leisurely route to it, via a two day tour of the Wairarapa. Booked me a cute little Airbnb cottage in Masterton and planned a route to an area that I have never been before. Left the Manawatu in the pre-dawn light to make the most of the day and it has been an awesome day, with springlike weather, and full of lighthouses, seals and of course, braces, powerpoles and caches.
No problem locating this cache this morning. quickly signed the log and returned it to its spot so I could move on to the next one. TFTC

Up from Christchurch for a wedding and was staying very close to this cache so just had to grab this while we were here. Quick easy find.
Nice and easy find close to our accommodation. Will have to try and find all the others now!
2nd of the day and a quick find. I need to check how many of the alphabet caches I have found. TFTC.
We are enjoying finding caches in the dark with SJLove. Parked up while the boys ran back to find cache. TFTC
Well hubby has a paintball game down here today so I passed up playing to do some much needed caching instead, ended up with a telly of 46 weather had a very cold chill until around 1pm and then warmed up nicely, as we were only doing park and grabs the shoes didnt get very muddy, thanks again skindo for taking the time placing all the caches. - parked further back and kaleb made the find
Another A-Z cache to add to my tally. At this rate I should finish by, say, 2025!

Staying at the Claremont for 2 nights. A quick find after we had a nice lunch at the nearby winery. TFTC.
Thanks for the cache. I found it on 29/02/16 at 9:38 AM. Another one for Leap Day. Quick find but parking is dodgy !
Quick and easy find. DId with Mycro Man before the Martinborough Fair. Thanks for the cache
A bit of a detour off the main road to retrieve this. Quick find, and cache in excellent condition. The code allowed me to calculate the coordinates of my fifth second level cache. TFTC.
#1471. Every once in a while there is a day of madness. Today was that day. To complete an Auckland based challenge cache (GC3QY6Q), I needed to visit 50 caches in a single calendar day. But I couldn't use any power trails. Each cache had to be at least 1 km apart. So I spent several nights planning out a route around the Wairarapa that would allow me to achieve this target plus enough spares to cover for the DNF's. I managed to get around all 50 caches (only needing to use a torch for the last one) and was home by 10pm. Apologies for this generic log. This was cache No.26 of the day. Fairly quick find. All dry inside. Code collected. Had to give up on other Martinborough caches as too many muggles about for Toast Martinborough festival. TFTC
My first in this series. Time to focus on finishing it. Thanks for placing the cache.
On a geocaching trip over the Wairarapa.
A quick find. Cache in good order and log nice and dry.

Out for an early morning cycle. All quiet in town (and out of it). Cache quickly located. Another of this series done but still lots to go. Thanks for the cache.
In Wellington checking out the Gallipoli and AirNZ exhibitions and decided to pick up a few caches on a road trip to Martinborough.
This one took some scrambling to get access to the cache but got the blighter in the end!
Our last find for the day before we headed back to Wellington Airport - and home!
Martinborough - we will be back!

Found on an epic road trip with Skaga which saw us getting a total of 52 caches in just over 11 hours.
A nice quick find.

Good to nab another of this particular series - seems ages since I started it. Had to avoid a dead bird (and the associated flies and wasps) and approach from a bit further back.
Found on a long day, and around 200km along gravel roads, with changeable weather all day.

Quick bike and grab - out with mrs49837 on a weekend away. Glad to see some rain for the region. Tftc
#1123 Another of this series ticked off ... but with all the missing ones I don't know if it will ever be finished. TFTC
In Martinborough for the fair and a chance to grab a couple of caches on the way home. Both the hint and the GPSr suggested a fairly large search area and it took a while between passing traffic to finally locate the cache. TFTC.
Picking up a few caches on the way home from the Martinborough bike race. With metal-art, longstaffclan and oldboy999.
A quick easy find with markhnz and hayleyhnz, and a little more data added to our collection. TFTC
With the code from this cache I was finally able to work out the location of one of the unknown caches in the series.
Found with W.E.K.A. and hayleyhnz.
Thanks.

Out and about in Southern Wairarapa with Mrs gonefishing. Had a nice tiki-tour about, dodging the drizzle showers but enjoying the rugged scenery.

Found this one on a day trip with tmann421. Looking forward to finding the rest, thanks
Found while passing through Martinborough, we only have two more to get at this level now. TFTC, #6403
Managed to wangle most of a weekend in the Wairarapa. Knew it was coming up for a while so had put in a bit of an effort solving some puzzles. Had a great couple of days and wound up with about 300 finds. Hardly scratched the surface really - I'll be back!
Decided to go to the Wharekauhau Wine & Food Society Farmer’s Market at Te Kairanga Vineyard today and do some caches on the way home. Found easily, TFTC
Quick find after allowing the geohound a play in the nearby very shallow river. 10th cache of 15 in the Featherston-Martinborough area today. #433. TFTC.
Cache # 1,473 - had hope for double digits today with Violet Butterfly, but the rain and wind made this one our 4th and last stop for the day. This had been one of our destinations - #22 of the 26 first level challenges done now. Cache in good order. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found today with The Wandering Dragons. Swapped a trinket. Thanks!
