Have to let this one go due to the works happening along the creek.

Well that wasn't what I was expecting ! Unusual cache. Smile

27-Feb-14
Quick note to let the owners know that there are a lot of survey marks around GZ which suggests a bit of disruption to come. You may want to keep an eye on things. Smile

Found it with Everlasting. The cache was waterlogged a bit but log paper was alright. TFTH

20-Oct-13
This was certainly a busy path day with the Kings Langley village fair going on, preventing access to the next two caches. Spotted it fairly quickly once I got a break in the foot traffic, and I could make the grab, sign the log and pop it back with a bit more camo. Thanks Team Sunderland.

Nice camo. TFTC

24-Sep-13
We had wandered about 5 metres into the bush before we re-read the description and turned around. Found the cache after nearly kicking the lid off it :/ oops. Whilst signing the log we were nearly sprung by a couple of joggers. Geo-dog then took off after them and we had to chase after her, before returning to hide the cache. Apart from all that, very enjoyable, TFTC

Cache #116

While on a visit home to Sydney, I convinced my mum to do a spot of geocaching with me. We didn't have our hopes up too high, as the last few times I'd taken her we'd come up totally empty handed. This one had us scratching our heads for quite a bit, until my attention was finally grabbed by a suspicious looking feature. Within seconds, the cache was had. Ingenious little hide, TFTC Smile

My 3rd attempt at a TS cache this morning. What I'd hoped would be a 20min outing to keep my Sydney in 50 days streak alive had turned into a two hour ordeal with a hot and whingy Geoson. On the promise of Maccas for dinner tonight we headed for the Camo Cache. Walked straight up to it. Almost too easy after our other failures, but very greatful for a quick find so we could head for home.

We definetly took longer than we should have with this cache. Geowife gets the credit for the find. Love the camo, very clever hide! Thanks Team Sunderland!

25-Aug-13
A quick find, GZ co-ordinates where spot on. The high amount of Sunday afternoon muggle traffic made the find difficult. Thanks Team Sunderland

Another quality TS cache, not as hard as some but effective. Needing find for the fourth last day of my current streak figured I haven't done many this way so detoured a bit on my way back from smithfield. TFTC

Continued on from our DNF at "Big Rocks".

It was a nice stroll over and then I spotted it immediately, and went through the bush to get it instead of taking a 1m detour with no bush (??!!)

It was a kind of random container and I'm not sure how watertight it is - there was some water there when we found it.

TFTC Team Sunderland.

#1947- This was so well done, that I nearly missed it. Another clever Team Sunderland hide. Co-ords spot on as usual. Thanks

I'd just found a new cache at Seven Hills which had taken less time than I had expected, so I decided to pick up this one which was quite close and more or less on my way home. It was so well hidden and camouflaged that I did not spot it immediately. There was a fair bit of water in the container (which I drained out) but the log, protected within its plastic bag, was quite dry.

SL, took TB, TFTC Team Sunderland.

Finishing off our afternoon cache run was another two Team Sunderland caches being Camo Cache and Our 1st.

Pulling up at Camo Cache we had to wait for some muggles to pass first. We could see were previous searchers had been. We dismissed a couple items but our friend who we bought along to show her how it differs from orienteering picked up something and made another find for the day. (I think she found more than we did for the day). We completed the signing duties and re hid. We liked the camo and have awarded a Favourite Point. TFTC

A short walk later and we where over at Our 1st. Fortunately with change in season there where not too many muggles about and we soon spotted the likely hide and a closer look confirmed this was the cache. We could see the issue Slay has with removing the log as we had the same issue at first. We thought about it and then realised we had a multi tool we had swapped in another cache not so long ago and removed the cache to then operate on getting the lid off. Once loosened up we completed the signing duties before gentle putting the lid back on and returning the cache to it spot. TFTC

Found on a fun day of caching in the hills- and cycling 20kms!

After cycling we needed a rest. What better place to do it than a geocache! I began looking an managed to find the nicely camouflaged cache. We had our lunch, and a drink (I had pepsi Smile )

A great cache!

A lot of effort has gone into that!

15-Aug-12
Had an appointment over this way so a quick detour on the way home was in order.
GPS was jumping all over the place and the best I could get was 5m, I had a bit of a wander around and something caught my eye, quick check and cache was in hand. Another clever hide TS Wink

Geodad went with the kids to find this one, after Geomum's disastrous efforts last time. Much to Geomum's embarrassment Geodad opened it straight up without any hassle. Cringe! Red Face
Thanks Team Sunderland, another great cache. [^]

Some could be there a while, but not me in a cold, windy night. Another cool cache from you guys. Glad I checked everything Smile

The day this was published I remember thinking – a Team Sunderland cache, oh good, this is going to be a good one! Today I had both geokids with me, and we headed out to find this highly favourited cache, theorizing on the journey as to exactly what this cache could be. Upon arriving at GZ we discovered that all of our theories were incorrect when we found a highly innovative cache container. Smiles and giggles all round, awesome stuff! There was just one problem – we could not get the lid off the cache, and therefore we could not sign the log. Is it meant to unscrew? We could get it to turn about one quarter of a revolution, and that was about it. We took a few photos to show geodad when we got home, and vowed to return with his super strength another day.
Thanks Team Sunderland, we’ll be back!

Great cache good construction! TFTC.

28-Jul-12
I was taken along to this geocache with sidoney to check out how a *real* cache is made and was not disappointed. Without the 'one metre from the path' comment I never would have found it, and even with the comment I was surprised to find the cache in the classic 'not-a-cache-just-a-piece-of-debris' object. Well done and thanks for the cache!

27-Jul-12
Found during a lunch time walk. Almost didn't check everything. TFTC.

1st one of the day . love the camo!

Why does always start to rain when I go looking for Team Sunderland Caches? Well! I dismissed the cache at first, knowing how sneaky TS Caches can be. Searched here and there before going back to what had dismissed earlier. What a well constructed cache. Thanks TS you had me going for 5 minutes on this one. Picked up catch me if you can TB.
Cheers

On our way back from caching and munzee finding with the Geo boys and we just had to come in and find this cache! And wow what a refreshing idea for a cache hide Wink mate well done. You had us for a short while. But then I got jaywalker to check again.

It deserves a favorite point.

Needing a find today to make my 90 day streak, I raced out to this, my closest from home. Parked and walked over to GZ. Started a search and hoped I was not in for a long one knowing TS's hides. I checked a few things before looking at the hint....and then read a previous log. This gave me an idea and I checked...'BAM, and the cache is mine'. WOW, very clever Team Sunderland, you've done it again. I SL, TNLN and replaced. Whew, let's hope it stays hidden Wink A FAV from me, TFTC.

This is another well constructed and positioned Team Sunderland cache. Geo-wife dismissed it at first and then I had a closer look and to my surprise there it was. Well done, thanks Big GrinBig Grin.

10-Jul-12
Day #10 of Dry July.
I just couldn't resist this even though I was saving it for a local streak find.
After struggling with my iPhone to get a gz and wandering around aimleesly I went back to the car and retrieved the GPSr. The machine zeroed in on what turned out to be perfect coords, however this was a classic case of looking at something 3 or 4 times, ignoring it (not even conciuosly dismissing it) until the light bulb moment!! In the end I believe I passed the challenge.
Another great example of Team Sunderlands care, effort and imagination. One of the best of these I have seen, and certainly sturdy:)

Nice job! Just one little niggle - was difficult to open with slightly arthritic and female (less strong) fingers.

One thing I would mention is that we've been finding your caches interesting, creative and well-made, and they also set high benchmarks for us to aspire to!

Worked our way through last night's new arrivals and this was the last of those. I hadn't realised it was this close after Rugby Power but we pushed on. Smartphone wanted us more in the open but I had an idea where it would be just no idea what it would be. As geoboy examined the sap leaking out of the wattles in great abundance I spotted one thing that could be it and as soon as I touched it I knew! Very nice job. I haven't seen exactly one like this so I think I'll give it a favourite. TS always makes a big effort so it should be rewarded.
Thanks!

Reperio at 1955. FTF!

After spending most of the day caching around the western suburbs, a few new caches popped up, and although it was a couple of hours later after they were published, I thought 'why not'. Arrived at GZ to find what appeared to be evidence of searching, so at the very least I had the right spot. After circling the general area a couple of times, I soon spotted the likely looking cache, and after further examination, the log was extracted. I have seen a few of these now, and whilst this one was made slightly different to others I've seen...it is a very well made cache container.

Gratias Team Sunderland.

After running into Marcus Vitruvius at the pizza cache, I arrived here to find his name again. Actually, the real surprise was that none of the locals had been by that late at night. I saw the container as soon as I arrived but it did take a while before I was convinced that it was it. Nice work TS.
