mrandmrs in town, ahead of the WENZ Mega (day 2)
Found the info earlier today, before an unsuccessful afternoon at the cemetery.
Quick find of final in the fresh breeze.
Really enjoyed The Treaty exhibit too

Barefootguru and I had no trouble finding the answers to this neat puzzle. B even had a handy spreadsheet set up to take the hassle out of the maths! We headed off to GZ on a beautiful day. After a few minutes' hunting around, I located the cache in a nifty spot. TFTC Cherrys Rule - thanks for keeping waiiti20's memory going on this cache.
Clues were quickly gathered with D, plugged into my preprepared spreadsheet, then off we went to GZ. A bit of phone GPS bounce at GZ but location on map + geosense meant cache was shortly in hand. There’s not much left of the original page… thanks for the reworked cache Cherrys Rule
Found it!
Pleased to log this cache on this special day (World Goecaching Day).
Surprised to see so few finds, completed the task of gathering the info required and the calcs within half an hour. 10 minute walk to gz and the search began. Took longer to find the cache than it should, though the earth round here moved a little back in 2016.
Gz now quieter than it has been in a while, had to wait out some lunching muggles in vests, before replacing the cache.
A classic Waiiti hide, given the former local residents.
Thanks to CR for keeping this cache alive!

Went back to this site and in spite of all the construction, easily avoided muggles. Found without difficulty. Then had to try to remember which multi it was sourced from.
Thanks Cherrys Rule for keeping Andrew's cache going.
Still I was surprised at the lack of visits.

This was the additional incentive I needed to visit Te Tiriti. Alas I couldn't find any cache near the expected coordinates. Nice day to walk around the area.
But I need to recheck my calculations - I think I may have the co-ords wrong!

It has recently been confirmed to me that the Museum in question will not reopen at this site. I have plans to switch to a different museum, but keep the final where it is. Should be up and running again shortly.
Another Wellington Museum (Wellington) was transferred from waiiti20 to user Cherrys Rule
The building housing this museum has been closed since the earthquake on 14th November 2016. There is no indication yet of when the building might reopen.
Really have enjoyed the Museums of Wellington - they tell those from out town all about Te Papa, but cachers tell us about the others too!
This has been on my to-do list for a while, but somehow time and circumstances never seemed to bring me to this part of town. Today, though I'd reached an impasse with a Bolton Street Cemetery multi, and I still needed a find to keep my streak alive. I had an hour before the 'must catch' train departed, so now was my chance!
It's fascinating to see how the culture of a country has changed, even through the eyes of a bank. I'm horrified to think that untrained bank staff were expected to handle firearms in the event of a robbery. I'm glad we've moved on from that.
Thanks for a fascinating insight into some New Zealand history, and

Yet another fascinating wee museum that you've guided me to thanks. Probably didn't spend as much time as I should have looking at the exhibits and reading all the very interesting information however I did get what I needed. So off for a short walk to sign off the paperwork. TFTC #8300
A very interesting museum, well worth a visit so thanks for setting up this multi, Tftc. Worth a FP.
We started gathering the clues but were swamped by school girls on an excursion so didn't manage to locate the cache. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting location. TFTC
#799. A nice lunchtime diversion to fill in a dot day. I had found all but one answer after two laps of the museum, and i decided to see if I could figure out the coordinates with what I had. Turns out the missing answer was needed for three digits, but luckily two were dependent on each other and it wasn't hard to work out what they were supposed to be based on where they were. The third was a final digit so I just made a middling guess. Wandered along to my coordinates, checked the hint, and there it was in the first place I looked. A pleasant surprise. Interesting museum with an interesting history - I'm dropping a FP on this. TFTC!
Found after two visits. Like others I started on the wrong side of the road (even shown on the wrong side of the road in Geocaching Maps I notice). So I started by going into the St John's Ambulance building - wrong - backed out of there! Eventually realised I should be across the road. Gathered information slowly until I realised I had some significant gaps because my GPS was not showing images. Could have checked my phone but was running out of time and left it for another day. Today was the day, armed with images this time. It certainly was a test of observational skills but I got there without needing the help of the friendly lady at the desk. Off to the neatly hidden final. Thanks waiiti20, in spite of my little problems along the way this brought me to a place I did not know about, it was an interesting exercise and a satisfying multi to complete.

Based on the clues to find I knew exactly where the museum was as I've worked in this building previously, but before I discovered geocaching unfortunately.
Again, another one of these puzzles that requires visiting during working hours so it took a while before I could get here. I found all but one of the clues without trouble but I had to ask the lovely lady behind the desk for help with the last one and she knew exactly what I was on about. Solved for the final on the train home and saved for picking up today.
Turned up and there was a muggle with car trouble right at GZ so I walked past to see if he was able to move on after some help with jumper cables. As soon as that was resolved a whole group of other muggles in a certain colour shirt came through a gate and I had to wait for them to disperse as well.
Soon I had the area to myself so I could begin my search. I was struggling a bit even with the hint but it wasn't until I took a look from a different angle that I spotted the container and with a bit of a struggle I had it in my hands! TFTC.

Coordinates had us across the road from Museum but some assistance from CO and footpath sign got us to the museum. Really interesting display on aspects of NZ banking, answers all sorted made the most of some comfortable couches in the foyer to work through the calculations. Staff were keen to help but we managed to sort all answers out ourselves.
Coords in, it was a short walk to the cache, managed to manoeuvre ourselves in to reach in and grab cache, great hide. Thanks for the help and TFTC, nice to knock another museum one off with SJT-NZ on lunchtime walk.

The hardest part of this was actually finding the museum.
Once that was resolved it was a quick but very interesting visit to collect the information needed over lunch with TrgearP. A quick bit of algebra in the seating area outside the museum and then off to the cache itself. Very accurate coordinates and all in good order. Signed and returned to where found.
TFTC - and an interesting museum that we had no idea of previously.

Found the museum, strolled around and sorted out the coordinates. Walked through the sunshine, ignoring the cricket fans heading north and went to the GZ. Absolutely no luck!
After doing a few of waiiti20's museum puzzles I knew what to expect here! surprisingly this one was a bit easier, probably due to the reduced volume of material to scan through. managed to visit the museum, obtain the coordinates and visit the cache all in my lunch break. Did a bit of googling beforehand to get the location of the museum which helped. Cache all in order in its nice snug hiding place. TFTM
Another interesting museum. Didn't realise there were so many. Enjoyed the experience. Tftc.
Gee, so pleased to be making a find on this one after the on again, off again situation. All good now.
Straightforward find, made with great happiness.

Visited the museum about three weeks ago and had a great time trying out the typewriters and sealing wax and playing bank in the antique set with geogirl. Gathered all the info and made a quick calculation for a stroll to GZ. Assumed I got a wrong number when we came away empty handed from some good looking hiding places. A checksum would have been handy at this stage. Pleased to see the cache replaced so headed off after music lessons today for a quick find on a busy family weekend when caching time is limited. Day 10 of multi streak challenge. TFTMM
I was very happy to see that the cache was in fact missing (and I wasn't just blind). I headed out this lunchtime braving the drizzle, and went straight to where I thought it would be. Success! I even managed to fit a trackable in.
TFTC and a great puzzle!
TFTC and a great puzzle!
Solved a few days ago but unable to log till today after cache was replaced. Despite pouring rain and a nasty southerly the area was not totally muggle free, a bit difficult to explain without spoilers but suffice it to say that I had to avoid being seen by them but they were using a form of transportation which meant there was no way they could approach directly!
A very interesting and unique museum which deserves to be better known.

Spent about 15 minutes at the given coordinates trying to locate the museum yesterday lunchtime. Once I did, it was all very straight forward until I got to GZ today. I had a good look around and checked all the likely spots (and even unlikely), but no cache.
Back in action folks, had to solve my own cache and can confirm all exhibits are there waiting to be found.
Have been in contact with the museum today and hope to have this one up and running some time during the week commencing 24 March. Thanks all for your patience, it's been a long wait but out of my control.
Checked on the museum this morning and it looks like there's some progress, but not sure of ETA just yet. Will continue to monitor.
Building where this musuem is housed is still under repair as a result of earthquakes earlier this year. Will enable as soon as building has re-opened.
Logged with permission of the CO. Had visited the Museum quite sometime ago, before the place became off limits, and obtained the requisite information. I had this one tucked in the back pocket for one of those days a cache wasn't readily obtainable while undertaking, first the 31 days August challenge and then a 100 day streak. Both were obtainable without having to visit here, until late tonight. Wanting to keep the run going I stopped off here after a late meeting to make a quick find. No issues with the actual cache, its all good.
Thanks CO for the puzzle, the chance to visit an interesting building and museum and the cache.

Talk about “Pennies from Heaven”. As I've had the final coordinates for this multi lying around for a little while, I decided I’d grab the cache this morning while in the area. I also had a new bit of kit I was keen to try out and this one fitted the bill. As far as the damage to the building goes, just a little worrying to see one of the newer buildings in town being one of the worst affected. Cheers and TFTC
Disabling until such time that the building housing the cache answers has been cleared. Will also do a check to make sure everything is still relevant.
Like many others, the coordinates had me scratching my head at first. Thanks to the CO, I found where I should be.... and the rest was straight forward. It's not the nearest building (currently for lease) so have a look round and think where else it could be... TFTC - gets a FP for bringing me to a really interesting little museum (and building), and a straightforward find at the end.
The hardest part was finding the museum but we got there in the end and enjoyed the opportunity to visit the building almost as much as the museum! We were pleased to find all the answers without too much trouble and it was a quick find at GZ. As usual this was a very interesting and enjoyable cache. TFTC
Solved quite a while ago and was the first time in a while we've been back to Wellington Central to do some caching. Quick easy find. Thanks for the museum and cache. Did with Mycro Man, wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly
Did today with Crystal Fairy, Wandering Dragons and MycroMan. TFTC!

Cache #875 - interesting little museum. Finished this off today with Crystal Fairy, MycroMan and Violet Butterfly. TFTC!
My daughter and I are really good at not finding geocache's. a building with for lease was all we saw? No museum? Next time.
Don't know why I made it so hard for myself. I had gathered the answers soon after the Multi was published but must have muntted the final co-ords as I ended up somewhere where there clearly wouldn't be a cache! Anyway, I brushed off the dust on my notes today and what do you know - there it was! The final is in great shape, br puzzle is worth a FAV. TFTP
The perfect venue for a luchtime outing. Unlike most other waiiti20 museum multis I soon and ALL of the required information and it was off to the final for a quick find. Thanks for showing me this nice little museum which I had been previously unaware of. TFTC
We were the 2nd group of cachers in the museum today and had a lovely little chat with the museum lady, introducing her to caching and where the questions/answers were. Lovely stroll to the cache too. TFTC!
Sunday morning on the way to grandson's birthday turned out to be an excellent time to nab this one. Following a hunch after a bit of previsit research I had the cache in hand before the chicken got out of the car. Another great museum cache completed. What's next? TFTCSL
Completed the paperwork this evening having spent some time at the Museum a while ago. Very interesting history. TFTC
Another interesting collection to browse. The usual tricky and obscure things to locate in similar hidey holes to those at previous museum caches. With solution calculated all that is now required is a visit to gz next time we have the time. Thanks for setting another one of these up.
Found on the last day of winter, but the sun and warmth had brought everyone out and about and I was a bit worried about the retrieval. All quiet at GZ, and I was sufficiently away from the hordes to make a discrete find and replace.
A milestone for me, my 400th multi find. Many thanks for another interesting museum cache.

#4020. Now I'm working from home, it proved tricky to find a good time to come in to gather the info. Was going to a talk in the CBD tonight so went in a little earlier. Enjoyed the interesting little museum, and soon had some coords. Cache was straightforward to find (a chilly southerly was keeping muggles at bay). Thanks for sniffing out another of these obscure museums.
Quick find in the dead of night; though I hadn't banked on it being so hard to find a route to GZ in the dark.
This was my second attempt on this cache, having tried it a previous visit after gathering all the required information near GZ, actually it took a little bit of time to track down GZ and after reading the previous finders logs I soon realised that GZ wasnt quite where I expected it to be. Getting all the data together was another one of those fun and games always except that there is a curly question involved and once this is done the next part was finding the final. After working out the final location and arriving at GZ I kind of bumped it and it dropped into a very interesting spot that was a bit un-retrievable so had to contact the CO and offer my apologies, noticed that the cache was replaced in the weekend so decided that since I was in town today it was a great opportunity to go and see if I could get the cache today.
Arriving at the final GZ today it was a quick and easy find, actually made sure I wasnt going to drop it today, thanks for the clever little multicache that was definitely worth doing another nice little museum that I knew nothing about, TFTC TNLNSL (4593)

Having visited the museum to collect the info a few days earlier, I found it had used up my lunchtime, so I had to come back to grab the final. A surprisingly discrete hide in such a busy area!

Cache container lost, will have to disable cache until I get a chance to buy a new one in the weekend.
I was in town this afternoon for a meeting and had a bit of spare time afterwards so headed towards this cache. The listed coordinates led me astray at first, they're not particularly near to the museum but after a false start I was fairly quickly on track. I had no knowledge of this museum so it was a very interesting place to visit - thanks for introducing me to it! Managed to find all the answers relatively quickly, the final coordinates made sense so went for a walk. Once the GPSr settled down with all the metallic objects around me, the cache was quickly located. Signed log, thanks for another interesting and informative cache!
2TF, surprisingly! A very enjoyable wander through this interesting little museum yielded the required info. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
I headed to the museum just after opening, expecting to find a plethora of others combing over the artefacts, but was surprised to find I was the only one there.
I was aware the museum was here, but hadn't come in before.
After about 15 minutes I had identified all but one of the required pieces of information, and to my relief Mr Huhugrub arrived and we teamed up to find the elusive 'OPQ'. Thankfully he spotted it after a couple of laps in a spot I had suspected it might be but had over looked.
A quick dash in the spitting rain paid off with a Joint FTF. Another great museum adventure.

#3241. Joint FTF @ 10:05. Took the opportunity for an early morning tea break before going to the next meeting. Arrived at the museum to see simpsonsrgr8 was already there, and was missing just one clue. We teamed up to find the remaining elusive one, and then a quick stroll to the final. TNLNSL. TFTC.
