Time for a trip down to the Coast for the new challenge. Great weather today. Quick find on a nice drive
Thanks for hiding this cache hazedarus I appreciate it. I put a very temporary logbook in a very temporary container. It is better than the remaining container I won't be going down this road again unless a whole heap of new caches get published. We stopped here for morning tea.
Found what appears to be the peices of what used to be the little container. Might need replacing
Believe we found location but appears to have been broken as we found part of a lid hidden under the rock.
After finding the cache I drove over the bridge. What a pretty river. As I drove over I spotted what I though was a trout in the middle of the river. Back I walked and sure enough in the middle of the river was a lovely big trout!
I was up and away early this morning making my way to Lake Brunner. The roads are blissfully quiet early in the moring so having to frequently pull over wasn't a problem. Thankfully the blackberry that is slowly taking over the place wasn't an issue this morning. TFTC
The road has quite a few potholes but is not too bad. A nice easy find here too. tftc
#20401. We left this one for the drive back (good parking on that side of the road). Troodles got out and made a quick find. TFTC.
We had the time today for a wee detour down this road for two caches. The parking was better for the return journey and I was relieved to make an easy find after the protracted search further up the road.
Interesting to read on the plaque that both John Evans and his wife died around age 62, though she died more than 20 years after her husband, and didn't remain in the area but died in Sydney. TFTC.

A nice detour on our way home. Gave the milk tanker a chance to get well ahead before we caught up again. An easy find. TFTC
It was opportune to be passing today. Landscaping had been performed with some real big gear. Big enough to shift the rock holding the plague. The cache was still there but broken and rather flat so container was replaced. Please return cache as found. No camo on the container this time.
Nice easy cache found while hubby was having a nap in the van. Beautiful clear water and a lovely walk in the bush
Thanks for making us stop here, a nice bit of history. Out for a day exploring. Nice to actually get to these areas finally. TFTC

Came here for some fly fishing.
While my father tried to catch a trout - we saw them from the bridge, but it seemed to be the wrong time, the wrong fly or something like this - we got eaten by the sandflies and logged the cache!
Thanks for hiding and greeting from a german, feeling half-kiwi family!

On the way back to home now, second to last cache. Nice river below, didn't spot any trout though. Cheers
We were making our way back to Nelson in readiness for work tomorrow and we decided that it was a great day to go along a road we have never been along before. GK quickly made the find, the log was signed and returned as he found it. Meanwhile I wandered along to the bridge to see what I could see below. At first I spotted a trout in the water below then a fly fisherman appeared from under the bridge. He tried and tried to catch the trout but it was just not interested in anything he was floating over it.
We watched for a while and then we moved on.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Nice and easy, after the showered cleared. Was well covered with vegetation but I think it's been a few months since it was last snagged. Thanks for the cache.
Out and about over the Easter weekend grabbing some caches as I head to Christchurch via the west coast. Thank you for placing all these wonderful caches out for me to find. Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
A quick and easy find. I've never been over this road before. Cheers
We are on an extented Waitangi Weekend cruising around the Coast. Today we headed to Greymouth under beautiful blue skies.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Heading to Granity with SJT_NZ and taking a 'cachers route' past some caches we were keen to take in, a quick find at GZ and all in good order. TFTC
A quick find with Tregearp whilst passing through. All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache hazedurus.
Two days ago I came along to do these caches but I had a senior moment and forgot to load them into my GPS then. But now they are there.
A muggle was parked right at the GZ when I went up the road but had gone by the time I came back.
Cheers for the cache.

Finally it's time for a Christmas break and some time away from work. Time for Mrs KE and I to pack up our newly converted camping car and head out into the wilderness for a few nights. The West Coast looked inviting and there might even be time for some geocaching. If we can remember how to do that.
Muggles now not wandering around us so we stopped on our return. Lots of locals down enjoying what looked like a great swimming hole as we passed over the bridge. An interesting plaque to read while signing the log and then we continued our drive to Lake Kaniere.
Thanks hazedarus for the cache.

I noticed that a TB got sort of stuck in this cache. While passing today I picked it up and later dropped it at GC7ER10. I failed to take note of the tracking code so can't log its new location
Thanks for this cache, I would not have visited this past of the valley without it. Cache is in good shape. I found out the hard way that you don't need to go near the blackberry! Left a token
Found this with the help of my talented sister who could find a needle in the haystack. Did not take long to find. Take time to see the river. Very pretty.

Decided to attack the "Know When to Hold 'Em" PT on Nelson Creek Road from the wrong end so I had the caches on the drivers side of the car. Found this great little spot after having stopped for coffee in Moana.

Found the cache then wandered across the bridge. Wish we brought the fishing rod! Tftc
very interesting plaque - thanks for pointing it out. The colour of the water was magnificant today - icy blue. TFTC #5959
Found in the middle of the lawn, so placed it back a bit closer to the memorial. TFTC
A quick detour to collect these 3 caches.
A Dash in the rain and back to the car to sign the log.

Out on a (long) days caching trip across to the West Coast from Oamaru. Fortunately for us we left the rain behind us on the east coast and enjoyed a fine sunny coast day. This was one of our finds on the day. Many thanks to the CO's for your caches and the many interesting places that our trip took us to. TFTC
A lovely wee spot to stop for some lunch and a quick cache with some history. TFTC. Cheers Bo
Beaten to the FTF by 10mins. We only cache on weekends and it looks like no.13 were staying closer to the cache site than us Really thought we were gonna nab 4 FTFs today. Thanks for placing them and making us make a trip out to Rotomanu I also placed a couple of my own today.
