I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi skindoThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Cache has definitely gone with an entirely new fence in place. Given the lack of active engagement from the CO, this one ought to be archived.
Team MET are at it again!Mar1sa, EtherLord, and TwigNZ are raiding the 'Rapa, aiming to find the Nifty Swifty GeoArt series and as many other random+archived Skindo caches as we come across. This was one of those. We've managed to dodge the forecasted rain for the region so far this trip, but it's now starting to catch up with us.We all searched half-heartedly for a few minutes, already knowing that the new fence at GZ likely meant that the cache was gone Now on to the next one!
Today I was out and about in the Wairarapa with my friends Mar1sa and Etherlord Clan, in an effort to do the entire Nifty Swifty geoart series in a day, plus any other caches we happened to be driving past such as this one.All logs were signed as Team MET (for Mar1sa, Etherlord and TwigNZ), even if 1 of our party may have found it previously. This cache would be my only DNF for the day. There is clearly a new fence here, and nothing now matches the Hint. Definitely gonnaburger!
Decided to do some Geocaching in this lovely area. First and hopefully not the last find of the day. TFTC
Remember way back in the day, when my father received phone flood warnings from the catchment board, which included the expected river water height at Wardells was … and he then had to advise others via the telephone tree who lived further along the river to move stock if required. This cache brought back many memories over 40+ years ago. Thank you very much for bringing us here.
On the opposite side of the driveway from where I expected it to be when quickly checking the GPSr in the rain from the other side of the road. All's well and dry with this one. Pushed it back nice and tight and moved on to the next one towards Masterton. Didn't check the coordinates for accuracy and barely needed to anyway given that anywhere within 40m would have been adequate.
The bike wouldn't have disguised my activity here, but with so little passing traffic low flying along here on a good road, the job was completed without being observed.

Found fairly easily thanks to accurate coordinates and hint. No cars went past when in was there which was surprising as the road has been fairly busy this Saturday morning. TFTC
Was driving to work this morning after going to a party down this side of the Wairarapa and thought that I might as well stop to find a geocache. Nice and simple find, TFTC!
Found with livingk while on cycle ride with a group of friend in a loop circuit from Masterton. We had considered going down to the river for lunch but were unable to find any reasonable access so sat on the grassy area before the bridge leaning against the fence. During lunch I checked the GPS and without moving my seat or spilling my cup of tea was able to reach around behind me and find it. TFTC
Found with Pat and John during a day cycle tour around the country roads of Masterton. All in order. TFTC
Day four of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. Today was mostly spent in the countryside around Masterton / Carterton / Martinborough. This was the first cache I came to. All good here. TFTC, Biggles.
We’ve had a lovely morning pottering slowly along the road from Lake Ferry to Masterton, picking up caches on the way. Although there’s light drizzle it isn’t spoiling our enjoyment.
No problem here, although we parked the car on the opposite side of the road because of our direction of travel! TFTC
Lucky for us there were a few cars already parked up which gave us great cover. Tftc
In Masterton for a week and collecting some local caches. Work restricts me to being about 10 km from the hospital so was able to get these while still being on call. Cache all fine.
Found on my trip north enjoying the caches in the area. Light rain today but nothing to worry about
A quick easy find as we explored more Wairarapa back roads. We were muggled by a local fisherman, who was sussing out the river for fish. He though our fishing activity was quite delightful. TFTC
After refuelling up in Masterton I decided to head out towards the coast through Kaiwhata valley. What a journey.
This river is only up a tad due to the rain.
Cheers for the cache.

Infoferret had found this before so knew exactly where to park to hide my activity. Cheers skindo!
We had an hour to fill in this afternoon so zipped out to Homebush to find the 2 traditional caches on our list. This cache was quickly found, though we weren't sure who's sight line we were supposed to be blocking with the car. After we signed and replaced the log we hopped over the stile to wander down to the river for some photos. Thank you for bringing us out here.
We headed off to the Wairarapa today on a caching expedition - the terrific trio of haydn.seek, PJMacNZ and geodatum. Primarily we aimed to sign in for all the 100 and 250 per month Challenge series, but, of course, would collect as much else as we could along the way. We checked out about 75 caches and had very few failures. We left home at 6.30 am and returned at 9.30 pm. The weather was good - sunny and warm, if a little chilly in windy spots, and dry underfoot. We were good company and our team worked together efficiently. So, in all, a very successful day.
This was quickly found. Good to get another of a river series. TFTC

A serious geo caching day! Not so much about numbers but a dedicated pre planned set of caches covering a fairly large area and many of the caches were puzzle caches we had solved or had qualified for. . We travelled 400km, found about 70 caches and were out on the trail for 15hours, so it was a big serious day.
We left about 6.30am from Palmerston North and travelled thro to Masterton where were picked up out first puzzle cache. And then travelled down the back road towards martinborough locating the 100 and 250 caches for a month -our main objective!. We stopped at Kokotau reserve for a late morning tea cum lunch but the cache here eluded us even with three searchers and a double look before and again after lunch. We replaced several skindo caches along the route with either new containers or water proof logs as so often they were soaking wet. We side tracked up several side roads for caches and then headed into martinborough to in itally look for the cache in the town square which had stumped geodatum earlier. As always PJMacNZ solved the retrieval of this cache and we then headed to the pub for a much earned break and tea with Devonshire scones Yummy! We then continued on our way towards home locating other caches in Martin borough and then on the back route up to Greytown to locate the Cobblestone museum cache which I have searched for on numerous occasions. PJM was able to find the Virtual cache there which was a plus for him. By the time we left Masterton it was starting to darken so we gave away the idea of locating the newer Eketahuna caches. They will wait for another day!.
It was a great day and combined effort by all three of us. Thank you to my partners and the Cos for these caches. Lots of smiley faces and project GC points to boot!!

All good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie. Quick find. Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

#3930. Another big day out planned in the Wairarapa. This time it was Easter Saturday and Infoferret came along with me on a mission to find 50+ caches for another qualifying day for the DGSC challenge bulk find elective. On the way home now but still time for one last cache. Parked nearby and soon located the cache. Signed the log and replaced where found. Had a local in a car pull up and gave us a long hard look. Time to head off... Thanks for the cache skindo.
Building numbers for the [100,10,7](https://coord.info/GC5G2PM) challenge - sorry about the cut-and-paste logs.

Day # 12 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Made it from far and rainy South to the North Island. After two splendid days in beautiful Wellington [:X], todays sunny and pleasant tour took me further up north to Masterton .
On the huge cache-menu there were quite some big points for today - Yummie! [:o)]:
1) some challenges in the Hutt-Area I had identified as being "green" for me and
2) a lot of challenges created by skindo that are placed on the way to Masterton.
All this decorated with some traditional ‘green boxes’ along the route.
Missions successfully accomplished . At the end of the busy day the record of the menu contained 44 finds, including 33 (!) challenges that I am a little bit proud to have met the requirements [^]! - so cool! [^]
Here I found a well maintained container at a dry place. [^]
Hey - owners on the way up north - you have cool caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Special thanks [:X] [:X] to skindo who contributed the majority of my finds today .
Cheers from Germany

On a trip to Wairarapa today to make a dent in collecting some of the 100 Wairarapa puzzles I've solved over winter. Left home relatively early to collect as many of the puzzles and other cache types that I passed. Lovely day in the Wairarapa today.
Pretending I was interested in the Real Estate sign while I looked for the cache, although it really wasn't necessary as the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC

The property is for sale so we parked to read the propert sign. Quick grab. Wouldnt mind grabbing the house too lol. Tftc
After overnighting at Wairarapa Lake Domain we are making our way north to Ashhurst, via a rather circuitous route, collecting solved puzzles and a few challenge caches along the way. We made an exception for this Trad as we had nothing due to be picked up for several kilometres through this part of the journey. Made a quick find at a typical skindo hide. Thanks.
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

Thanks for the cache.
13th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today we drove from Wellington to Masterton. We saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

I am sure the passing locals thought we were interested in the homestead which is for sale - all seven bedrooms, four bathrooms and five living rooms of it. Wishful thinking on our part. Meanwhile it provided a good cover while we located the cache. TFTC
18th of the day and another easy find. It was a funny day - it had just been hailing and was freezing cold! TFTC.
#1751 Found on a photography/geocaching roadtrip with Nic-jay that ended up with 52 geocaches and many great photos. A lovely spot with all the Autumn colours on the trees. TFTC!
Found on an epic road trip with Skaga which saw us getting a total of 52 caches in just over 11 hours.
I wondered why people would want to fish here when there is a sign saying it is not safe to swim in or take drinking water from the stream.
As we were signing the log, it suddenly became rush hour with lots of cars going by. Time to engage super stealth mode!

Found with dunc_nz (aka wiskey ranger) and tu2 tracker. Found on a hot day after leaving the wings over the wairarapa.
Pretty easy to hide behind the caravan. Would like to have been able to see the house.
I left with the geokids early this morning for my first foray into skindoland, on an attempt to qualify for the 100,10,7 challenge in one day. Unfortunately I did not achieve this (but qualified with my previous few days' finds). All in all, I achieved my best day's hunting, collecting 61 traditionals, 20 mystery caches including 4 challenge caches, and one virtual. Many thanks to all the cache owners and players who make this game/hobby what it is (and apologies for the copy and paste).
I took the back road today from Masterton to Featherston to pick up a few caches, before heading on to Wellington. A nice easy find here, TFTC!
Pulled up and there was a vehicle parked very close, however there didn't appear to be any occupants so was duly able to complete the paperwork. TFTC skindo, #7360
Quickly found, no problem. We were super impressed with the 'snow' on the ground from the surrounding tress. TFTC Cheers!
Quick and easy find. Did with Wandering Dragons, Violet Butterfly, Astro Hunter and Mycro Man. T4TC
Nice river, must be great for fishing. But the signs suggest otherwise. Anyway, a quick and easy find. TFTC
Quick park and find while driving from Mt Holdsworth to the caving and flyingfox location as part of school camp week. TFTC
9th of 16 finds in the Wairarapa today. Straightforward find, pleasant surroundings. #614. TFTC.
Find #2018. Out for a "Sunday Drive" to explore some previously untraveled roads and collect new caches. It is criminal that this river is a close second to the Manawatu for worst water quality in the country - a result of outflows from waste water treatment plants and dairy farms. SL TFTC
we started with 112 caches on the list to do in 1.5 days while the weather looked ok here, we managed 88 caches in total and 15 dnf so not a bad run at all, thanks skindo for putting these together, hubby really enjoyed taking the back roads and the roads he used to travel down when carting logs.
going through farm land was something different and made a lovely change.
TFTC, we have added our calling card and handmade swag to all the caches we could. (sorry for the copy and paste)

Enjoying some caching in the Wairarapa and this one is on the radar.
A straightforward find; cache in order, log signed, then safely re-hidden.
The river of the 'rapa. The mighty Ruamahanga.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Cache # 1,669 - A couple days of caching in the Wairarapa that really stretched my geocaching skills, as the upload to my GPS had partially failed, and I only had coordinates and names – no hints, no descriptions, no logs! This one was another instant find - partially because the cache was partially exposed. After signing log re-hid it a bit better placed, and less obvious (although same spot). TNLNSL. TFTC!
Managed to wangle most of a weekend in the Wairarapa. Knew it was coming up for a while so had put in a bit of an effort solving some puzzles. Had a great couple of days and wound up with about 300 finds. Hardly scratched the surface really - I'll be back!
Headed out on the first flight to Wellington Saturday morning with FMZ and Lostcourse. Relocating a vehicle back to Auckland meant we had a big caching road trip ahead of us...! We headed back through the Wairarapa towards Napier, clocking up the numbers through skindo land. Sorry for the copy/paste log as its now all abit of a blur having cached for 36 hours with only a few short naps in between. Enjoyed the drive through these rough and winding gravel roads and saw alot of interesting sights.
36 hours, 1,200km, & 315 finds made for an epic adventure! Many thanks for the cache and the perfect excuse to make a weekend of it!

Headed down to Wellington for a fly-down-drive-back-caching weekend with mike-miss and Lostcourse - basically a caching binge drive back to Auckland, caching under the moniker "Team F.M.L." We headed out of Wellington as quickly as possible to get some serious caching done in the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay before heading back to Auckland. Apologies for the copy/paste log, but we found >310 caches in 36 hours and for many it's hard to remember specific details. We headed through a bunch of interesting winding back roads and saw a lot of beautiful sights and historic spots. We shared the driving and stopped for about an hour to catch some shut eye in Pongaroa before continuing, caching all the way. Saturday was my biggest caching day ever, and this Feb, after just the first 36 hours, is already my biggest month ever. TFTC!!!
Took the first flight down to Wellington on Saturday for a fly-down-drive-back-caching weekend with mike-miss and FMZ - basically a caching raid across the North Island.Team FML! for the win! We headed out of Wellington making a beeline for the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay before venturing back to Auckland. We headed through a bunch of interesting winding back roads and saw a lot of beautiful sights and historic spots that only geocaching could have bought us too. We shared the duties around and took a few micro naps when ever prudent. Saturday was my biggest caching day ever, and this February, is easily my biggest month ever. Thanks for the cache!
