Sadly a dnf here as well

02-Jun-23
A lot of options here, but no luck for me. Parked at entrance and walked to GZ, checked a lot of places for about 20 minutes then ran out of time (or patience) without finding the cache

19-Feb-23
Unfortunately this one evaded us today. We looked up the fence line amongst the blackberry, but then our cache seeking device had us somewhere a bit less tricky. Still no luck there though, despite finding a great, dry, hiding place.

14-Feb-22
Found on a pleasant day walk with a visiting geocache friend.

14-Feb-22
No Frankfuters though.

01-Aug-21
I really wanted this cache to be hidden in one particular place, but it wasn't. After looking in a few other choices, I found the good-sized cache. TFTC.

02-Apr-21
A lovely spot of caching.
Thanks to all who have placed and maintain these caches for others to enjoy.

26-Jul-20
Found while caching with ABL973. Thanks SoBad

26-Jul-20
This was an unplanned find today as I'd come out this way to have lunch at the Hacket track trailhead. It was hard to get a park there today and on the way back into town I decided to have a look for this cache. Not an awkward find today as there was a trail to it in the wet grass and I see in the logbook that it was found yesterday. Thanks SoBad for the good size cache which is in good condition in its hiding spot.

25-Jul-20
Great spot. Thanks.

07-Jun-20
I went up and all around trying to find this one. Eventually spotted it once I went back down. TFTC SoBad. One year lonely but all good.
I had an hour and a half or so to head out for a few caches so headed down aniseed valley rd for a handful. Some success, a couple of DNFs, then a couple of ‘ran out of times’. Still a good little trip out and i will be back. Thanks all COs.

19-Oct-19
Picking up a long-time resident TB to move on

03-Jun-19
Cache secure and dry. Left smiley face travel bug

08-May-19
A lot changes in 7 years since being put out, especially blackberry. Followed a geotrail thru some without success but located cache on at a less blackberried spot. Loved the Rocky Horror show seen on stage a sillion years ago. TFTC

18-Apr-19
I found this one more by ignoring the coordinates and thinking instead if the title and where it came from. The container was lying in the open but it was pretty obvious where it should have been. An enjoyable morning walk with aniseeder and Steve. Thanks for the hide.

01-Dec-18
A bit of fun navigating the blackberry to grab this one...then had. The added adventure of someone doing wheelies nearby and a policeman asking us if we had seen anything...unfortunately not. Tftc

04-Jun-18
A third SoBad cache for the afternoon. The GZ offered a few prospects but a careful read of the cache page suggested a particular one which proved to be correct.

All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found noting the instructions.

Thanks again SoBad for another cache.

04-Jun-18
A quick find and all in good order, we were just heading down to the cache area after SJT_NZ and I had a great walk in the valley. A 4wd came in just behind us so we lurked with intent and said gidday, they drove the loop and headed off without a word. Quirky but at least we were able to grab the cache once they'd gone.

02-Jan-18
One of Hamilton's finest exports. Found it quite quickly after only a few jumps to the right, and a jump to the left. TFTC

31-Oct-17
Just me and some sheep staring at me from over the fence. After a short search had cache in hand signed and returned Thanx4tc

29-Sep-17
Today I was out and about working and had the time to catch up on an outstanding Puzzle cache of the CO's, so it was over the hill for a second time in two days. Quick find of this one and thanks for the memories of a dance I'd rather not attempt again. TFTC SoBad.

26-Mar-17
After a nearby find I thought I would give this a go. Quick find following the geotrail. Cache quite exposed but i put it back where I found it, since it's not a high traffic area, as I didn't know how it was originally placed. Tftc.

13-Feb-17
Loved the original movie. Not so keen on the TV remake they had on last year. Thanks for the cache.

03-Feb-17
We timewarped to gz and had to reach for the stars before the cache was in hand. Thanks Sobad for the cache.

20-Jan-17
Being watched by Woolley muggles.
Lovely spot. Visiting from Aust
Tftc

09-Jan-17
Great cache to get the kids going. Tftc

09-Dec-16
We were the only car in the reserve so it made for an easy find, however when I drove back down the road a short time later there were three cars parked where I had parked - so that is what we think of as perfect timing tftc

07-Aug-16
Worked out where we should be from above and headed down to collect. Passed a vehicle stuck in the mud (2 muggles pushing) at the entrance but they were gone by the time we got back.

20-Feb-16
nice little pinic area, kids enjoyed it

03-Jan-16
Yay ☺

29-Dec-15
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
Another hot day; spent the morning at Rabbit Island and then this afternoon headed up the Aniseed Valley for a swim in the river. Quick find and sign along the way....bizarrely no one in this corner of the reserve! Cheers.

26-Dec-15
Cacheing with just a jem tftc

26-Dec-15
Found with Dr.Davis while on a streak in the area. Quick, easy find and looks safe. TFTC!

21-Nov-15
Have tried this a few times but there were always muggles close by. When i was filling in my calendar days i had this one as a backup.

15-Oct-15
Gotya! Another daytime cache with my bootiful Obscenefairy. TFTC!!

14-Oct-15
Found with GameShotDarts! TFTC!
This was a special visit to a reserve I've never visited before. Real spesh.

29-Jul-15
Again, another quick find on a sunny winter day in a place we wouldn't think to visit at this time of year - unless of course ther's a good reason! Thanks.

07-May-15
On our way for a bit of a walk we found this. .. TFTC

12-Apr-15
Another day trip into the Nelson region with the Aniseed Valley trip through to Hackett Track top of my list of must do caching days, for now. Backed up with a trip to the Grampians up to the Lookout it had all the ingredients of a successful days caching; 2 Earthcaches, a few puzzles, 2 possible new D/T combos to try and advance the grid filling a bit more, and a smattering of Traditionals to keep the numbers ticking along nicely. Back in the co-pilots seat was the Seagnoid also hoping for a couple of unique D/T combos, we'll see later if he was successful or not. A nice early 0700 start as we've lost a bit of evening light already so making the most of daylight hours when they are about.
On the way back out of the valley and picked this one up which we'd missed the turning to earlier
Easy find in the obvious place and found with a jump to the left, and a step to the right, put my hands on my hips etc etc etc.

[green] On a geocaching road trip with capperz, except that we spent most of the time walking Big Grin. I love going bush!
Ah, Frank N Furter, Eddie, Riff Raff, Magenta and Columbia. I have the soundtrack and the movie. And played them many times. Even got in to see the movie at half price one midnight because I was wearing the tee-shirt!
Alas I could not see the connection to this cache. Must have missed something somewhere. Ah! I can make you a man? (with blond hair and a tan?)

02-Apr-15
With a step to the left and a jump to the right I soon had this one found. Unlike some caches, this one should not turn you insane.

Thanks for the hide.

28-Jan-15
I spotted it but got a bird of a feather to go in for the retrieval, as she was wearing walking boots, whereas I was less sensible and wearing trainers. TFTC and greetings from England!

28-Jan-15
A quick find today even with the nelmac guys stalking us! ! Or was it the other way round?

19-Jan-15
Nice fairly quick find.

SL TFTC

19-Jan-15
On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.

Another good hide here.

TFTC

04-Oct-14
Contastimo found this one straight away (after reading the comments). Great hide and a neat little spot! TFTC!

22-Aug-14
Good hide soon found. Log dry, cache dry. Would love to leave a travel bug but this cache not found often enough.

19-Jul-14
#7780. A heavy frost made for tricky searching conditions. Eventually troodles spotted something interesting from below, and I managed to reach it from above. TFTC.

19-Jul-14
One good thing about visiting in winter is that the area was muggle free. But we had to crunch our way through frozen grass to get to GZ.
StreetWalker went up one side, and me the other. After searching a few likely places, noticed another potential spot which was slightly out of my reach. Directed StreetWalker to it and he soon spotted and retrieved the cache. Good teamwork. TFTC.

08-Mar-14
Heading up to the Hackett Hut for lunch, quick stop on the way to the carpark. TFTC

28-Jan-14
Last time here we couldn't look for the cache because there was a muggle settling in the for the long haul, he was busy hanging his washing on the fence so we knew he wasn't leaving in the time we had available. Today we returned to find the area deserted so had no problems searching and finding the cache. It's never a hardship to return to these well kept reserves. TFTC.

28-Jan-14
We got muggled before here but today there was nobody in sight. Surprising with the nice weather. Maybe there are just to many well kept reserves around here. TFTC

27-Dec-13
Lucky last of my wee excursion up the Hackett. A bunch of ladies across the way having their lunch but no worries here. A quick scramble and success. Cheers

19-Dec-13
Thought I may as well grab another while I was over here, nice to vist this spot again, had the place to myself which was also good cache in a logical place too Smile)

25-Aug-13
Makka pakka 2 went out to day and look what he fond. And he did love doing the time warp TFTC

18-Aug-13
Had to think a bit to find this one but we found it after a 'high hunt'

29-Mar-13
I found this cache out with my Dad (Biggles) and dog (Fozzie). He says I found it quicker than he did. Thanks for the cache, Flying Phoenix.

26-Mar-13
This will have to be a revisit, there was a muggle settled in less than 20 metres away from GZ

26-Mar-13
With a muggle watching us with interest we had no other option but to leave this one for another day =(

03-Mar-13
Was going past and noticed "a light, over at the Frankenstein's place". Quick find, co-ords bang on, as usual. good one, thanks. Took elephant TB.

21-Feb-13
Having enjoyed a nice dinner at the previous cache, we had to dash at this one to get the momentum moving. Quick easy find and then back on the road. Two elderly gentlemen playing backgammon didn't seem to care too much about us as long as we didn't care about them, all good. TFTC

21-Feb-13
Out for a picnic and some caches. Quite a few people enjoying the area this evening, such lovely spot. TFTC

15-Feb-13
Found it. Tftc

10-Feb-13
Damn it Janet! Where is the box? Oh there. No time warp required as our technology was spot on tonight.

Ellie and the girls enjoyed an after dinner swim before Brad (I mean Dad) insisted we drive just a bit further up the road. TFTC.

Sun was in and out today. Found the cache fairly easily. TFTC

06-Oct-12
Had to have a bit of a search but got there in the end. Crazy spot, never knew this area was here, thanks!

01-Oct-12
We were heading out of the area when Niteowlnz noticed that we had left this one so a quick u-turn and we headed back. have been to this area several times so a pleasnt trip back. Parked close to GZ and had an area spotted for the cache (which it wasn't). After checking here the next spot gave us what we wanted and another smiley to add to the collection Smile TFTC

01-Oct-12
Had done a cache at the start of the valley and were on our way back to Nelson when I spotted this cache on the gps so around we turned Smile Loved the film and still own it on DVD Smile we had a little shower of rain zip through just as we were popping the cache back but as it didnt last long it did "dampen"our happiness to be out and about caching Smile Thanks for the cache Smile
Opps meant to add this was my 1900th cache Smile Thanks Smile

16-Sep-12
A short trip up the valley today, not the best weather wise but generally able to make our finds between showers. Had a wee task explaining the cache picture to ADV jnr who was not familiar with the character.

TFTC

16-Sep-12
I'm ashamed to say I've never been to see it. I had visions (not pleasant ones) of Robert Muldoon narrating as I approached. I see ADV is in the vicinity this weekend. TFTC #3610

09-Sep-12
Nice One!!!!!!!!!First couple of logical spots drew a blank and then where else could it be. Bit slippery under foot but no problem for the'Ole Mountain Goat. This is a great little reserve. One of first cache placements was close by. Much fun. Thanks

18-Aug-12
Aaah the days of going to the Hollywood Cinema in Avondale (Auckland) for a late night screening of Rocky Horror... It certainly got plenty of interesting characters out of their closets... This cache got me out of the car on my way home. Not in the first place I looked but it didn't take too long to find. TFTC, Biggles.

17-Aug-12
Quick find, no muggles, plenty of sun. TFTC

11-Aug-12
Spring was in the air so it was an opportunity to head up the Roding for a clean up.
Called by on my way to make the quickish find.
TFTC

02-Aug-12
Having a cleanout of the gps before i head away for work again and found a couple of unlogged caches. tftc

19-Jul-12
Nice hide. Nice spot. TFTC

11-Jul-12
Hmmm what could this all be about I thought as I approached. - - - But all was revealed. A great spot for a cache. - - - Thanks for helping me get to know my way around the reserves in this valley. Big Grin

07-Jul-12
"So come up to the lab and see what's on the slab. I see you shiver with antici... pation. "

No difficulty finding GZ as there looks to have been some over enthusiastic searching going on.
Co-ords spot on so no need to cause any more damage.

TFTC

Signed at 6 minutes past midnight, but accidentally signed as 4/7, sorry. Took me a while to believe the GPS, but when I did, it became a little easier than I was making it. I do love this reserve - spent Xmas lunch here one year. Can't quite remember if that was pre-juniors... I think it was too. It also holds a spot in our heart for the USAkiwi caches we've found here before when we were still wandering about with the bluetooth GPS puck and the iPAQ. Can definitely echo the recommendation to make this a caching stop with a spot of lunch, a snack, or if you dare, a paddle! The cache name is completely beyond me and appears to be random. But then I never did the time warp, be it in a show, a movie, TV or the interweb. Think Mr Muldoon may have nailed the final nail in the coffin of my disinterest on that one. Thank you for making Thursday another FTF day. I better get some sleep to see if I can add more to it later in the day Wink. #CS#

05-Jul-12
I was in this reserve briefly 2 days ago.....thick white frost and ice. I was dreading the road being still icey, and dodgy for my one wheel drive transport. Need not have worried. The last cache here we had to sneak under the nose of an illiterate freedom camper. This one would be darn near impossible. The cache and camo did not seem so secure I thought. Coords bang on the money as usual As already said, this is a beaut spot. Thanks for the exercise motivation and cache.

05-Jul-12
Wow we were 3rd to find! Quick find on a school holiday caching trip. Haven't been here for ages, a nice wee spot. Left TB (Lindsey's Tag). TFTC.
