Staying in Wonga Park and having found many of the local caches on previous stays I had a long walk this morning to get to this one. A brisk morning but only the one muggle with a dog on the oval who left as I arrived. There are a few things that match the hint but it took until my third choice to find the cache. I was only using the phone but it's pretty accurate in open spaces like this and I got GZ 28 metres out which is a fair bit. Signed and replaced. Log was okay, not too damp.

Thanks!

Our for a Sunday drive visiting this beautiful area. Our GPS had us initially looking in the wrong spot. After having no luck we went for a walk and explored the other playground. Geokids enjoyed both. As we were walking back to the car we thought we'd take a random look somewhere else that was no wehre near the coords, and lo and behold there it was.

Thanks for bringing us to this lovely little spot.

We needed an extra cache for the day (two kids - gotta keep an even number!), and this was on the way back and looked like a quick find. Mr 5 had no problems finding it, but we stayed for quite a while in the two excellent playgrounds nearby! Thanks for hiding!

15-Aug-15
Took a long time but eventually got it

TFTC team coxy. Had a muggle sitting on GZ and we had I wait for tea during the cricket game that was in. A very nice oval and an interesting game. Not sure who the visitors were but the Wonga park team were bowling. With Noelle04.

15-Mar-15
Found with Jimmytherat. Thanks Team Coxy. What a gem of a cricket ground! Took a little longer than expected due to Muggle watching the match. We were willing him to get thirsty or go to the loo to no avail. But as luck has it tea time & he was off.

12-Mar-15

Twas a simply glorious afternoon, and we had been out and about for a picnic and some wine tasting then we stopped off to grab this one. No one was around, apart from someone practising their basketball who wasn't interested in us. We sat in the sun and signed the log, with the spray of the new irrigation on the oval wafting over us in the wind. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

I found this cache at 4:10pm as number 1 of 5 on a divert north on the way home. I know this spot well having found the caches "Wonky Bridge Madness" here back in 2005 and "In the Middle" in 2008, both very close to this spot. Not a soul here today making for a very easy pick up. Thanks from D B-A.

Hot and windy weather forecast today so TurnerFamilyFTG and I headed out early (ish) to beat the heat.
Nice easy find since no one was in the park. Just as we were walking back to the car a brand new Audi drove in and parked right near the cache so we waited in case they were caching but they moved on so we did as well.
Thanks for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Ok, worked out today that phone GPS is almost 4 m out. But got this one. Wonder if that is the reason I did not find 3 others which is so unlike me.

It was a beautiful afternoon, and I needed a cache to fill in this date. Approaching GZ I didn't notice a pipe between the posts and took a tumble. I was very lucky not to break my leg here, but I fell backwards and away from the pipe. After spending a couple of minutes on the ground, being cared for by a concerned young lady, I recovered and located the cache.
I was not in my usual vehicle, so didn't have a writing implement with me. I'll return in next few days to sign the log. No cricket today so not too many people to witness my clumsiness. tftc.
Crusty.

Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

14:15

It's Torment Your Teenager Day (better known as report writing), so our teen had to decide whether she was spending the day doing homework at Mum's work, or out with Dad. I suspect the only reason she opted for the latter was she could stay in bed for half an hour longer.

The last short detour as we made our way toward home via the country lanes... easily found despite the extra natural camo added by the past couple of months' inactivity. The teen was again at her most useful... shielding me from the sight of the council worker packing up nearby as we enjoyed the view of an empty cricket ground. I could make some snide remark about it being as exciting as if it were occupied, but I won't.

A quick find @ 15:50 in the company of the geowife and emeraldflame. I've been here before for a failed attempt on a now archived hide nearby. We sat for a while and watched the assortment of birds wandering around on the oval.

Thanks to team_coxy for the cache.

Another legendary TDC / Rebel Alliance night caching run. The run started with caches near Rebel's house, then after picking him up, we headed to the newly published Area 79 - Westall66 caches, the topic of which is a favorite of mine...! I'm not a UFO nut that wears silver foil on my head, but I do have a big interest in the subject, it is truly fascinating. A loop from there took us west and north, collecting yet more caches.

The night included about 35 finds personally, a possum fight and a wild peacock.... And of course all the caches we found, my personal thanks to all the CO's for their efforts and time in placing the caches, without that, we would have had nothing to find..!

Nice and quick, great at this time of night. TFTC.

26-Nov-12
The Demolition Crew and The Rebel Alliance once again teamed up for another fun night of caching throughout Melbourne picking up some of the newer published caches around Melbourne as well as some in the home town area of Rebel Acts.

Blacklegend and I started out by collecting caches near "Casa de Rebel" before picking him up and setting off south to the newly published AREA 79 series. Once that series was completed, we headed out west and north of Melbourne in a big loop until it was time to drop the Rebel home again.

A great night for caching was had, which included seeing a peacock running wild in near Area 79: Westall66 - # 5 - Hello, Hang on!, and a full on possum fight. Thanks again to all the CO’s who have put the time in to placing their hides.

A nice quick driveby, but no cricket here today. Thanks.

Out and about today with the geowife, and we decided to visit an old stomping ground of hers. No cricketers today but plenty of workers doing what appears to be work on a new cricket club room. They didn't seem interested in us and we found and signed the log with with no problems. TFTC

Find # 1947

The morning turned out to be quite ok for a winters morning, so after completing some chores at home, I headed out for a solo cache run first heading towards Lilydale, then Chirnside Park, then Wonga Park, then back home.

I arrived nearby to a place that seemed familiar. I had been to this park before on the hunt for caches but had been unsuccessful. Today, there was no cricket or footy on and no muggles playing nearby so I had the place to myself. A nice quick find.

Thanks to team coxy for the cache.

24-Jul-12
An after work find. I had to wait for a muggle playing with his kid on the swings to move on, but then it was an easy find! No cricket today, although there were some footballers training on the top oval! TFTC

24-Jul-12
Blended in well took a couple of looks before I found. Lots of workers around the clubhouse today but not in the playground. Tftn

24-Jul-12
Out in a loan car while mine is in for major repairs so I came here for an easy find.

22-Jul-12
This was a nice, easy find at 13:35 thanks to excellent coordinates Big Grin. There was no-one around today to hamper my activities but if I'd been here yesterday, it looks like I might have bumped into the Linears Big Grin.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks team_coxy.
