Out for about three hours this afternoon to sort out the majority of this series. I had previously found two, found eleven today, plus two misses (including the final). A short time ago talking to the CO he commented how the series is doable on pushbike, so I decided to tackle it on my scooter. So after lunch, I started near Guns and followed a counter-clockwise circuit of the icons. This may well be the most detailed tour I've done of any suburb that I've never lived in. And it felt rather homely to me, given my Logan background also. I choose to not resemble any yobbo remarks! What a lovely way to spend the afternoon; perfect weather and enjoying the calm of a chilled-out Saturday.

This was my first stop. I parked just down the road and unpacked the scooter. With my bag packed too, I rolled the short distance to here. Of course, nobody around so I had the area to myself and after standing on my head twice, found the container. It was a bit jammed, but I got the logbook out, then discovered my pen doesn't work. Right, loop back to the car for my other pen! Signed the logbook at 13:30. Certainly a big gun here, but thankfully doesn't celebrate such machines. A good start and now have all the pieces I need (in working order) for the rest of the ride. Thanks for this geocache, Pprime (P`) Smile

We headed out to grab the last few in this series unfortunately we still have one to grab because we didn’t have the correct tool of the trade with us. But we made sure we grabbed this one while in the area.

Before leaving the new geocar (Track my adventures here D78QWZ) we read the description, hint, confirmed the difficulty and terrain, checked we had all the caches on the GPS list and pervious finder logs. DFC was directing us to where we needed to go. Once we got to GZ, we started to walk towards GZ, we were discussing about where this geocache could possibly located. Has these caches have been on our radar for a long time.

Thankfully after a decent search we worked out we were in the incorrect place then we regrouped. Shortly, we the cache in hand, and we added our little ink mark to the logbook.

Thank you for the cache placement and maintenance Pprime

On holidays this week and nothing much to do except to explore Brisbane. Went for a walk by the Boondall wetlands and found a couple of caches in the area. Found the treasure left by BennyBrisVegas and left a similar one in return. Tftc!

The gun had disappeared so I panicked a bit. Turns out I need not have. I even left a small monetary donation for the next finder.

23-Jan-21
With the rest of the family away for the weekend I had the whole day free to myself. I don't often get a chance to cache over on the North side of town so today was the perfect opportunity to rectify this and pick up some solved puzzles and other caches in my to-do database.

Arriving at the location today I realised that I didn't want to be bumbling about willy nilly here looking for a cache. I took a seat nearby and pondered some past logs for clues to a search zone. I soon discovered where not to bother looking and headed off to a more likely location to begin the hunt. Only a couple of spots needed checking before the cache was found safe and secure. TFTC

Headed out on an adventure with Caveman9614.

We chose a rainy rainy day, and were moist and on our way home when we made a quick stop to find this cache. Unfortunately we did not succeed, and succumbed to the elements before making the find. Thanks for the hunt, will be back when the weather is nicer to turn this into a smile.

Cache 9 of 9 visited today.

08-Mar-20
Well, we fell for the obvious trick here...
A nice gun to explore, no-one around so had free reign. When we had searched for a while, especially all the "flat" spots, I found a slight clue in a previous poetic log leading me to realise that we were on the wrong track. It really shouldn't have been this hard.....
We moved a bit further from the gz that my gps was pointing to and soon found the location and the cancerous container.

Out and about with potatochips101... we had to find a cache not too far away to fit in with other activities today. We didn’t want to miss this auspicious day. We’ve done a few of this series ... and this ticks one more off our list. Potatochips101 Found this quickly but was unable to shout it out too loud ... the locals were out dining in their verandah ...
logged as 3k. TFTC!

A nice quick find on our adventure to find a cache for the 02/02/2020 souvenir. I arrived at gz, with Frannymfrog standing a little bit away. I soon decided on my first search spot, did a quick scan of the overlooking buildings deciding no one was there - wait, on closer inspection there was a tea or coffee drinking muggle proudly sitting atop her balcony. Relayed the news to Frannymfrog, and she wandered over to stand in the view. A few photos later (of the near by surrounds, trying to look as in conspicuous as possible) and the cache was soon in hand.
TFTC! Found with Frannymfrog logged as 3K!

Clever man! Did you use the product before you placed the cache? I digress...
I’ve had an awful morning caching. Can’t find a D1.5 that everyone else is finding easily, went to the next cache and found out it’s a tree climb. I’m in a work dress Sad
So thankfully this was the easiest of the day, and I was in and out in a few minutes. Pretty little spot. TFTC

04-Dec-19
Wow that was an ordeal
Finally found it after abandoning all ideas and started thinking like a yobbo

03-Dec-19
Finished work out by the airport today, so whilst driving past I thought I’d grab some caches on the way through.

There’s still a few I needed to grab from the Ban-Yobbo series so I grabbed a few of them and any other caches in between also.

This one is definitely there. I found it in the first spot I looked.

Patrol14 and myself spent a long time searching for this one. Eventually we managed to pin down the hiding spot by looking at old photos and ruling out all other possibilities. I'd say we are 100% sure the cache is missing.

15-Sep-19
After attending the nearby CITO, nathanjhunt and I teamed up for some caching in the area.
Stopped here to look for this cache. After changing our search area, we feel we found where this one should have been but couldn't find it.
I think this one is missing.

First find in Oz. A Geocache was almost the first priority after getting off the plane. It only followed getting an Aussie simcard, picking up the rental car (took ages and they reckoned by reservation had been cancelled) and going to the supermarket. We had a picnic on the handy seats at GZ so the cache was equal priority with first feed in Oz. Only found ouselves in Banyo because we took a wrong motorway exit but were pretty happy about it in end.
GPSr was pointing in all directions but eventually settled down and took me to the spot. Thanks, this cache is in a great location.

We are heading back from the South Side after having a cracker of a time over there finding some caches. A plan was hatched last night to try and do the Unique difficulty/terrain challenge. All of a sudden it looks like it is going to take place. Amazingly for 4ando cause we normally have these plans that we concoct in our heads but don’t necessarily always follow through. Something normally gets in our way like lunch or coffee which slows down our process, today we were on a mission.

We arrived at GZ to find another of the Ban Yobbo series as it fits our grid today. We went straight to the obvious feature and then looked at each other and thought, we just stepped over a chain to get in here bet it isn’t in here. Out we hopped and started searching.

It wasn’t long until we had the cache and we added our name before checking out the guns…

22/11/17, 9:42 am Find #1247
An actual day off?!? No way! Seems unheard of lately (I'm supposed to have every 2nd Wednesday, but so many things have stopped that lately). Anyway a quick message to NyssaFlutterby last night had a very positive response that today would be a CACHING DAY! Yayyyy!!!
Target cache was planned but I still had time to kill before the Flutterby was free, so I decided I'd grab a few caches in the area. This was to be my first, so with guns blazing I made my way to GZ. Sat on the bench for a little, wondering if the guy in the minivan was going to leave to allow me to search, but when I realised he may not be going anywhere I decided to take my chances and go in for the kill. A likely spot was seen and I set target in my sights. A quick reach.... and cache was in hand! A yobbo-free find after all.
Thanks for the cache Pprime (P`).
