Saw the log that Baluke had put a bison here, and a search in this busy area turned up nothing, not sure whether it's gone or we just couldn't spot it but we looked in all the crevices of these poles .

25-Jun-14
As I hadn't heard from jacinarble after multiple attempts to contact, I dropped by last weekend to remove said bison and it was gone.

Either diligent mugglage, or jaci had been to intervene, who would know? It's not there.

There are better spots around so i will butt out.

20-Apr-14
Took the liberty of replacing this for you if you want to just re activate it.
It's a bison with the same MO

Will check on this after Easter

Couldn't find it today. We looked for a while. BB#1 found an ideal spot for it, but there was nothing there. There have now been a number of DNFs Perhaps the owner could check to see if it's still there. My thanks to Jacimarble for placing it.

Didn't find it another time and same result again today. Not the first time I've been defeated by something small and simple but given I feel a little silly wandering around the posts I don't think I'll be back. Thanks.

While it was a little difficult to search without being too conspicuous, at least I was not the only person walking on the 'garden' - various commuters were also using it as a short cut. After inspecting each of the possible hiding spots (and checking the ground to see if it had fallen out) there were not too many spots to put a cache and there it was. It's surprisingly exposed and easily spotted, so I'm not sure if it was in the intended spot, but I couldn't see anywhere better that it would fit, so I returned it where I found it, and hope that it does not get muggled.

17-Nov-13
Will have to go back during the day Sad

On a nighttime hunt with partner in crime Pakkas_secret! Looked absolutely everywhere and could not find. Will return in the daylight

I couldn't find this geocache. I'm brand new and maybe just had some bad luck? I checked all around striped poles and no luck... Actually I checked all the poles and couldn't find anything. Anyone have any extra clues to help a newbie? Thanks!

11-Sep-13
Was fun Smile a lot of people around though

08-Sep-13
Clever hide this one. Had to use stealth mode as the station was busy with folk off to the Richmond vs Carlton game.

On a fathers day visit to my sister in law's house, I took my lovely nephews out to introduce them to geocaching.
Approached GZ and parked car. The geonephews ran ahead, most excited about another find.
I stressed the importance of being discreet as while there weren't many muggles at that time, we still didn't want to be caught.
I sat in the car having a chuckle watching the boys trying their best to 'act natural' in their newfound hobby. After a few minutes of searching, I joined them and gave them a few ideas on where it could be, then Geonephew 1 made the find. The look on his face was just priceless. Definitely another caching convert!
Signed log and returned cache.
Thanks a memorable hide!

This was the meetup point today for msmarple1 and Jr Fish and I for our big adventure today. Yesterday, a cache in this series was a DNF for Jr Fish and I. Today, no problem.

Thank you for the cache.

20-Aug-13
Nice quick cache while I was waiting for Cuddlefish and Jr.Fish. What a nice station and neat hide. Cheers from Canada. TFTC

12-Aug-13
Had a bugger of a time zeroing in here, with so many of these things having stripes.
Eventually spotted the sneaky hide, and waited out the seemingly neverending parade of muggles.
They are so thoughtless at times. Smile Thanks jacimarble

10-Aug-13
Finished a short cycling/caching ride with WhitBUG members. The guys are getting good at this. Some are even talking about hiding their own caches.

04-Aug-13
Took the dog for a walk, sat on the seat and waited for a gap in the muggle traffic. Now which striped poker dot pole is it? Found it Signed log before not so geo-pup got bored. Thanks for the Sunday morning walk.

Still heading northards this afternoon and I was passing this one and as it was Saturday afternoon, I thought that the muggle factor would be low which was basically correct. Parked in one of the 2 minute spots and wandered over to GZ. There were a number of muggles about but enough gaps to enable the short search before the cache was in hand. Only a short wait before the return then back to the car. I would like to say I was fully legal but I did overstay my time by a few minutes - no parking inspectors about fortunately! Thanks heaps to jacimarble for this one, an interesting piece of public art.

Sneaky little bison, nice station. its a pleasure to see how simple an efficiently designed setup can work. Not flashy, simple effective, clean. Beurocracy can work occasionally! who knew!

Thx for bringing me here Jacimarble

This one has been on my watchlist for quite some time, but with so much traffic in the area it was hard to find a time to look for this one. This morning I felt it was early enough on a cold Saturday morning to try it out, and with Rhys' keen eye we found it pretty quickly. The "stripes" clue was helpful too.

14-Jul-13
Cache replaced. All good to go!

05-Jul-13
Had to be sneaky, hung around for an hour. No luck

05-May-13
Came past with the 6yo this afternoon and decided not to attempt as there were too many people hovering around (even though we waited a while) and we were running out of daylight.

A rather quick find. Lucky enough we came here at night time so not many muggles around. But a few cars started coming so we quickly made the log as we knew a bus/train wasnt too far awaym found with erin-rose tftc

This one had been annoying me for a while as I had been here in January when I first began. On our way home from a day out we decided to swing around and see if we could locate it and we had success this time around. We were no where near it the first attempt, lol! TFTC.

Good find..description gives itaway!

26-Mar-13
Good hiding spot. Very tiny so make sure to not rush your search.

26-Mar-13
It's a teeny tiny thing, so small it fits in a crack and oh so hard to see, luckily it's illuminated by tangerine!

18-Mar-13
In area today doing what I do through the day a little tricky lots of muggles used stealth . Thanks jacimarble

07-Mar-13
Quickly found after waiting for people to leave, glad I came at night as it was quiet. Tftc

01-Mar-13
My second attempt. I think the first time I just didn't know what to look for. Walked up to it and we took it back to the car to sign. Quickly replaced it without being too suspicious.

23-Feb-13
I Dropped the log lol on the way to a secure place to sign it - luckily that wasn't to hard to find - thanks for taking me to this area - there was nothing here when I went to school at Epping back in the 80's TFTC??

03-Feb-13
Took a while to find, its not easy to be inconspicuous.

25-Jan-13
Nice spot for it, had to be pretty stealthy but I did a pretty good inpression of someone tripping balls at all the colours and swirls of the artwork, deftly grabbing and replacing the cache in each instance. Quite a creative work, TFTC!

25-Jan-13
Out again with SanguineDragonflye, doing the whirlwind around South Morang this time. This was find #4 of 7.

A nice easy find, but we had to be pretty careful as muggles were hanging about. A good hide to teach people a little stealth!

No dice for the talents New Year's Day hunt here.

26-Dec-12
Took the opportunity to find a few caches in the area today on a beautiful Summer's day.
I must have been there for around 20 minutes looking at every pole nook and cranny (pun intended here) all with no luck. As the muggle traffic became a little more frequent, I decided to give up as I was now becoming to look a little bit too suspicious.

Another legendary night caching run by TDC (The Demolition Crew) in conjunction with The Rebel Alliance (Rebel Acts) and Danozz, a 4 man assault. As always, a fantastic night had by all, with lots of caches found, including some quality stuff. The night started north of Melbourne, and headed inwards, picking up Danozz in Richmond. The run took us down Mornington Peninsula way and finished back up near the city.

About 30 or so finds personally for the run, including a drain walk, and my 5000th find on Balnarring The Headache Maker. Some great laughs, great stories and great caching. Many thanks to all the cache owners for the caches.

Having a few of us here helped with this one, muggles don't seem to pay attention to groups. Had to use the PAF option though, as it did prove quite a challenge. A well hidden cache. TFTC.

19-Nov-12
This was, cache # 7 of 33 finds for the day on another big night out with my good mates Trailrunning and Blacklegend, we picked Danozz up in the city later on our run. Tricky little hide that can be hard to search for with so many Muggles about, team work payed off here. My thanks to Jacimarble for the cache.

19-Nov-12
Tonight was another legendary night caching run with The Demolition Crew and The Rebel Alliance teaming up to grab some caches north, east and south of Melbourne. The run started in the early afternoon with the new northern and eastern caches being picked up before we headed towards the city in peak hour traffic to pick up Danozz in Richmond. He was keen to come and join in the fun.

At this point we moved through slow moving traffic to St Kilda and down to Found it 5 v2 (another hour wasted there!) before moving south through Cranbourne, Tyabb and on to Balnarring. The night was filled with a great many laughs as Blacklegend was in fine form.

The highlight of the night was the 5,000th find being racked up by Blacklegend on the Balnarring Headache Maker. Top effort Adam! As the witching hour approached we decided to forgo some of the planned caches and head straight back to Elwood to align the tides with our caching presence so that we could pick up a cache four hundred metres down a stormwater drain.

Many thanks to all the CO’s who have put the time into placing the caches we collected tonight, and a special mention to those CO’s who made the effort to replace some missing caches at my request a few weeks back.

Adam had been here a couple of times before, but with all teh muggles about, he moved off. This time, we were able to make it look more natural while he searched. Nice little spot. Thanks.

Quick stop off on the way to Melbourne to see Mondo Cane. TFTC.

02-Nov-12
Found this one pretty easily while out cruising around with Paco Aliandro. Pretended I was on the phone when I made the find, took back to the car and signed. Waited out a few muggles and did the same to replace it. No one was aware of what I was up to, probably thought I was either there to buy or sell drugs lol. TFTC

20-Oct-12
Found on my weekly caching expedition thru the suburbs. Today's plan was to find a series of caches along the South Morang train line. This was the last find of the day and it was a good one, well done Jacimarble! I finally found a use for the toothpick on my Swiss Army knife!

14-Oct-12
Thanks Jacimarble for the cache, boy this road has changed a lot since I last went through.
Nice hide and happily I walked straight to it.

I was nearby and picked this cache for my cache a day hit.
The cache description made the search straight forward, but the inaccuracies of the iPhone provided the challenge.
I searched every pole and then sat read the previous logs. Then I searched again and found it straight away.
I did give this little fellow a flick though and wondered "could it be", but it flew away. Smile
A nice little challenge and good art work.
Cheers

A guy from work has mentioned South Morang station a few times, so this was a chance to see the place up close. Plenty of space for buses to turn around and people were coming and going even though I couldn't see any trains pulling in.

Alan got the right clues but still overlooked the hiding spot, I rechecked his work and discovered the container tucked away. A bit fiddly to get out but I've had to get at much worse in the past.

16-Sep-12
Found with Danozz after we managed to meet up during the day. We also managed to park in an odd but useful position. After a brief search we checked the cache page and so concentrated our search. It was Danozz who made the find in a spot I had already searched. Red Face

The sun's shining, birds are singing, and I've dropped short-stuff off for the day... I feel like another walk by the Plenty River.

This new cache was on the way, so I turned into the shopping centre carpark and found a spot near the steps down to GZ. Once there, I developed a keen interest in sculpture, and was ignored by the few passers-by.

Bingo! Prising the container from its hide was the hardest part. Once I'd finished, it was back to the car and off for the next adventure. Thanks for another new End of the line cache.

It was interesting to visit this new public transport hub as I'd driven past the site many times before it was developed and wondered what it was going to look like.
It was a quick find today for me on a grey rainy day that kept all possible observers huddled in their own misery and not looking at me.

Cheers Jacimarble, thanks for bringing me here.

27/07/2012 21:18 As this is one of those close-ish to home I decided this wet and unpleasant evening would be the time to go get it. I dropped the kids at the movies and then made my way to GZ. This is the first time I have been here and with all the changes I was somewhat disoriented. Still I parked at the short-term (2 minute) parking and hopped out. It was only then that I noticed that the station is manned by two security guards. (Hmm what does that say about South Morang?). Nevertheless I made my way to GZ and waited for the GPS to settle, which it didn't want to do. I spotted a likely location and had a quick look but nearly went ankle deep in water. After trying a few other poles I reset the GPS and it had me back again and this time I gave it a better look to see their was a cache in there. It took quite a bit of very unstealthy tugging to get him out and I took it back to the car. To avoid getting out again in full view of the guards I drove off and parked near the Coles/Aldi carpark and walked the short distance back into the station and so to GZ. This was a much better place to park and access the station as it enters pretty much at GZ. TFTC Jacimarble TNLN SL

This was easier finding than expected. I aborted on the first pass as a small group of children drifted through. On the second pass I was completely alone at 1:30 pm. It was the 3rd pole I approached and there is was, you cheeky little tube.

Heading home from the 'End of the line - Hurstbridge' and took the scenic detour to this cache. Very well lit up at GZ, had to do the old 'talking on the phone' trick as i casually checked out the poles. Spotted the cache as i poked and prodded, made the extraction, and then returned to the car to sign the log, as the next train arrived and many muggles exited the station. Waited them out and re-did the phone act, fortunately anyone who saw it earlier had moved on and a whole new group of muggles got the show, replaced the cache and went home. TFTC.

16-Jul-12
Arrived at what we thought was GZ but after looking in logical spots we had to call for help from thetaz who put us right at 13:10. However we seemed to be 10 m off by the GPSr. Interesting camo which may need regular maintenance. This is our 1600th cache so the 100 Finds GC had a visit. South Morang has changed a lot since Mrs LZZ's family had several farms in the area. TFTC

15-Jul-12
Thanks for taking us to have a look at the new station. It's all very modern and impressive. Here's hoping it takes some of the traffic off the roads. TFTC
