Looked for ages with new hint too. Not sure it is still there. Could not find it sadly
Looked for ages, using the new hint by CO but no luck! Wondering if the recent crazy rains have moved it?? Will be back another day!
I was pleased to a nice safe place to park close by and although it looks like some sort of road works going on it was still fine to go to GZ. No lyrebirds about today but I did make a quick find of the cache. Thanks Paul_the_Hippy for placing the cache.
Last find for the day, just on dark, the headtorch decided to go flat. Luckily it was a quick find thanks to the recent CO post. Love this seat, it would be great in the height of summer heat. Thanks for bringing us to this nook Paul_the_Hippy
Replaced cache. It is now under the seat at the end where pine fence is. Need to update hint.
We searched around, and used the hint for about 30 minutes… Couldn’t find anything
TFCC. Found on a lovely day. Trip to the Dandenong‘s. Did The two gardens plus Sherbrooke Forest
Thanks Ray Little Johns. I hope 60 years after I pass people will geocache at my memorial.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Paul_the_Hippy for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Keep an eye out for wildlife around this cache, I spotted a wallaby and a lyrebird while walking back to the car.
Spent the arvo with Fitzelfleas and co. Found this quickly and signed. Thanks for bring us here.
Little John was not at all lost today. Easily visible, so we recamouflaged today with nearby vegetation. TFTC
A very quick find. So beautiful in Forest. It is a beautiful place for a rest. Thank you
That was easy, the cache was completely exposed, I have now replaced it with more cammo. TFTC
A nice easy find in the fading light of Christmas and at the tail end of a long and beautiful walk.

Out for a drive, we were enjoying the little dead-end side streets around here with the beautiful homes and gardens. My daughter and I started the search, no luck, read the hint, no luck. Try again using geo-sense, yay . What a wonderful hidden place for Lost Little John. Thanks Paul_the_Hippy.
In the area tidying up some of the unfound caches. This was interesting. Always happy to learn something new. Thanks for the cache and showing this to us.
Found @07:06 #7540
This could be the oldest cache not found closest to home? Wasn't sure how long this would take but got lucky as it was spotted exposed from about 10m away. I was lucky to have been in the right spot for the line of sight to work. Left cache with some camo added and today the coords said it was 9m away. The OSM maps show a more accurate position. Nice peaceful area.
Day 208 of 365 completed.

With the hint and a little bit of digging I was able to find this cache for the second and third time round. thanks for placing this is lovely out here never seen this place before
On my way home from a bushwalking club day through the Dandenongs was an excellent time to check out some in the area. Parking excellent and had the area to misself. It seems I should had previous logs and ignored the hint. Thanks for the cache Tank47.
Could not find. ️.
First one so far we’ve been unlucky with!
Nice spot though!

Petite sortie de géocaching pas trop de caches trouvées mais une belle ballade quand même.
With a planned night cache with Crustyvarmint not working out as we’d hoped, we then concentrated our efforts on finding some local caches while in the area. With a brief look at the cache page, and thinking this will be a park & grab, we wandered over and started our search. Not the first time tonight I have been wrong, with this taking so much longer than expected. After sitting down reading through the logbook, eventually the cache was discovered.
Lovely area Paul_the_Hippy. Thank you.
Lovely area Paul_the_Hippy. Thank you.
While out hunting with team Knight_shift tonight, we finally located this little fellow. The GPS device was not playing well, and the hint had no relevance, but Steve had his geocaching eyes working well tonight, and we signed the log. Thanks Paul.
Found - but only after reading the logs. Was up here doing the Sherbrooke Forest Circuit hike. Happy to randomly switch on geocaching app and was almost standing on top of this one. After a ten minute search I read previous logs, and voila. Cache soon in hand. Cache still in good nick, paper only just slightly damp. TFTC
TFTC. Found with JAMS35. Hint no longer applies. Reading the other logs helped. Nice spot.
Nice seat! With Monks 55. Took us awhile. ..reading the other logs helped.TFTC Happy Easter!
Nice quick find when looking in the correct spot. GPS says I was still 6m away when I had the cache in hand so will have to use your geosmarts for this one. Photo taken as proof as the pen I had would not work for the life of me
With the place to myself I thought this would be an easy find but the GPSr had other intentions. After wandering about checking every likely hide I eventually took the clue and after a bit of thought, I soon had the cache found. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams
Little John was my sister’s ex-husband’s grandfather. Good to discover this cute hideaway. Watch out for the mozzies.
Had a couple of DNFs here in the past, but was keen to try again given the slight change of location. Found it this time easily, would love to know where the original location was though! TFTC!
Wow, 5 years ago I DNF'd this one. Seems like only yesterday. I remember hunting and hunting and hunting for this and turned up naught. Today I returned with Iluka. I returned to the same spots and of course found nothing. Meanwhile Iluka, within 30 seconds, exclaimed "Got It".
I think I need to take her to some other places to make some finds for me...

Came with day1976 who had not found it a few years ago, and I found it in a couple of minutes, we were caching until it got dark to be able to do the night multi nearby.
Replaced cache, moved to 2m behind seat behind Blackwood. Acacia melonoxylon. Added some trackables.
Suscoe was out and about today enjoying caching in the Dandenongs.
It was one of those brilliant late Autumn days, clear skies, a cool temperature and no wind.
We had a great time wandering the winding roads of this area.
Thanks to Paul_the_Hippy for this cache, a lovely spot to sit and listen to the sounds of the bush.
Cache found and signed a little way away from the hint location.

Great location. Have lived in the Dandenongs for years and never knew about this place! TFTC!
In the dark after doing the nearby night cache we dropped by here to add this cache to my list. Sorry I couldn’t read the plaque for the story. Found the cache easily with no disruption. TFTC
Walked up here from Grant's picnic ground. Nice walk, somewhat muddy and slippery and steep. The road above was very peaceful with colourful flowers and birds calling and no one around. The cache was easily found near the oddly placed seat. The cache log was slightly damp inside.
Thanks for the cache, nice area.
Thanks for the cache, nice area.
A lasting tribute to him - I'm guessing the views were better back in the day, when the trees were lower! TFTC
#6/8 of my day Shermbrook forest walk. What a lovely bench. Thanks the cache/owner to bring me here. Just after I met a lyrebird, who played a nice song for me! I made a 2-minutes record with my camera
Find #1196
I was wandering around Sherbrooke Forest and trying to look for a few caches along the way. It was a slight detour to look for this one. The cache and log book are fine... I was a bit worried about retrieving the cache though as it looked a bit 'leechy'. A nice spot with some lovely houses. TFTC!
