Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

15:36

As we had to be up early to take their mother to work this morning, the girls and I decided that we may as well start our caching early. Besides, it's my birthday, so I get to choose the day's entertainment.

There were plenty of hides near playgrounds that I'd saved for the next run with the kids, so plenty to keep the girls entertained as well, plus a couple of fun walks in bushland and rainforest. Even their first encounters with leeches in the Dandenongs didn't dampen spirits, so we ended up with over twenty smileys and countless big grins at the scenery, fun containers, cool hides and the joy of the outdoors.

I ducked in for a quick find, while the girls headed straight for the nearby playground to spin, and swing, and slide. Thanks, Jacimarble.

On my way up to a work retreat just nearby, so with a few spare minutes up my sleeve I ducked in here for a quick cache en route.

GPSr was a bit confused and consequently I took a strange route in, but after a bit of to and fro I soon located the cache, signed and returned. TFTC Jacimarble. Love the stories of family rituals Smile We often don't appreciate how meaningful they are until much later!

Second of the caches lochb and I tackled on our way up the mountain early this morning. This one, thanks to the tree cover, took us longer than it should to locate - one of those read and trust the hint and cacher-instinct, and ignore the clueless GPS, hides.... TFTC

Wow, what shocking GPS accuracy up here! It took a while for us to realise that we'd spotted the cache location on the way in. TFTC

I'd been looking forward to meeting up with The Demolition Crew for another run through Melbourne. The night air was getting cold, so you could tell Winter was well on it's way. We were held up at one particular cache tonight, but after few attempts we were able to walk away with no DNF's. Thanks to jacimarble for the cache.

Find # 1995

Today I had one aim - to reach #2000, I just needed six caches. I met my parents for morning tea at Kuranga Nursery Cafe, the Paperbark Cafe, then headed out to complete my mission.

I headed up the hill on a road I had never travelled, arriving at GZ soon after. I saw some workers nearby, but no problems in the search. It took a little while, but I found it in the end. A nice spot for a BBQ.

Thanks to Jacimarble for the cache. TNLN.

Found this one on a quick little caching run with Jacimarble and my boss after work. We had spent all day stuck in the office so a little caching run at the end of the day was the perfect way to cure cabin fever. We searched while Jacimarble looked on and was rather controlled in the giggling as we both managed to miss this the first time - in our defence it was dark and both were rather exhausted! Another good cache J!

On my way to work this morning thought I'd get this one as its very close to home , I have spent quiet a bit of time here roasting chestnuts at the annual Chest nut festival ,my wife runs the Mt Dandenong kindergarden and they have this as a fundraising event, may be you've been ? anyway nice easy find swaped key light for tupperware bowl (mini ) Thanks jacimarble you do get around.

Arrived at GZ to find a single man sitting at the table "texting". I can't keep a straight face he says. FTF no longer a possibility. He directed us down the quickest path, easy find with no creepy crawlies about, yet. 2TF with Cracka1. Returned to the table to chat with Paul_the_Hippy while 2 ppl and their dog wondered suspiciously toward GZ.

Ahhhhh the MEMORIES.

I guess I will soon find out if jacimarble is a part of it but I doubt it.

Unless there has been a name change I don't think she was the girl who I lost something too who lived very close to here or someone who i played strip tennis with. Maybe the Friday night bbqs are a maybe but that was with the cfa and we didn't play tennis. Cricket or tennis on a Saturday morning.

Ahhhh the memories of growing up here.

Cache was a quick find then watched others come and search while trying to word my memories in a child friendly way.

Gets a favourite just for bring me here.

Last of all the hippy went tippy with a first to find.

Tftc tnln nice to meet cracka1 sapphire and fitzel flees.
