GT37 and I are making our way to the February 29th Mega in South Australia. We had some extra time so were able to collect tome caches along the way. We had done a lot of this trail already so it was great to collect some new ones or maybe they are ones that we missed last time. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
It’s a beautiful winters day and I have the day off work so I ventured down to the Murray Bridge & Tailem Bends areas for a day of caching.

With my days numbered in SA I had a few targets that I have wanted to tick off put around Murray bridge and the surrounding areas to find. With the work finished in the early morning I set off for a nice day tackling the virtual at Monarto, ice cream series, lost wanders series and the Aussie Challenges plus a few others along the way, total of just over 100 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

A day of many, many geocaches! The target series was SAGEO_5's *On Your Bike* Wherigo power trail series, and it was an early morning start meeting at Loxton with a group of keen Geocachers. Once that trail was completed, The_Tardis_Trio and I then did the Fishy Tales Wandering Heroes series, and it was pleasing that both series geocaches were all found with generally good coordinates. It was then a return trip home via some of the back roads via Pyap West and Caliph, to then be back on the main Karoonda Highway. A few miscellaneous Wandering Heroes caches and some of the Lost Wandering Heroes waypoints completed the day. It wasn't planned to be a day for a big finds number, but The_Tardis_Trio was keen on finding more than 150 for a Victorian challenge, so with the 100 and 35 caches from the two initial power trails, it became easy to achieve the target. A perfect day to be outside weatherwise, with many stumpy lizards found sunbaking on the roads and in the scrublands, with only one large brown snake seen slithering across a road.
I was introduced to these Lost Wanderers a few months ago, but never got the chance to complete any. Today, I needed another 5-10 geocaches to get to my 150 target, so this set seemed good to clear out of the way. It sounds like rosmar were a real hero with true New Zealand hospitality, so hopefully they take the occassion of the 2020 Millicent mega to visit South Australia! I parked as close as I could get to GZ, and made the short walk to find this cache. The gecoache and logbook were in good shape, thanks [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14).

The Lost Wanderers are not lost any more, because we have found them all! So did ilook4geo. This series was an absolute pleasure to find as every container was clean and well presented and every log was in really good condition. Thank you so much to Freddo the Frog for maintaining this series so well.
Initials were noted on each log and all was put back as it had been found before we moved on.

Today the caching hunt with goingplaces2 included many of the Wandering Heroes series as well as some Lost Wanderers series. Happy to add our initials to each log and replace everything before we moved on. TFTC.
found with jacknor on the return from doing my own wandering hero's cache. A quick find starting on the lost hero's and slowly heading home. Some of the containers have been just replaced by the co's, a few others where found broken and containers replaced with still the original logs. All caches where found.
sir_spectre wanted to come down and find his wandering hero's cache. He invited me along for the trip. We stopped at the puzzles and did 1 multi before the dust storm got worse and made driving down to 60 km's for a while before making it to his cache. Then the thunderstorm hit and it bucketed down with rain till we drove back to the lost hero's trail and we completed that with almost no rainfall.
Was being taxi to and from The Bend for the V8s today so after dropping off, it was some GEOPETS, some Wandering Heroes, the May OTD series and lastly all thirteen of The Lost Wanderers series.
Log is full and needs replacing.

Went to visit my sister and asked if she would like to come get a few caches with me...she does like to go for a drive...she is on snake patrol [^] as it was a rather warm afternoon...

Suscoe was on the way back to the east today from Nuriootpa to Keith via Murray Bridge and a little north of Tailem Bend.
We started caching at the Cub’s Trail just out of Murray Bridge, we moving into the streets of Murray Bridge and then ended with the Lost Wanderers’ Trail on the Karoonda Road.
We enjoyed the placements and appreciate the efforts of the Cache Owners in creating these caches for us to find.
It was a good day weather wise with a mild temperature and very little wind.

Oh wow, what a trail ! The WEEO and I flew down from Canberra to cache this trail and around MB and my wonderful Auntie put us up (future cacher there too ). We made it all the way to Loxton in 2 days but were shagged by the end. The caches were mostly fab and gave us a laugh along the way.
Thanks to all you cachers in the MB area for the great work in putting this together, you guys rock!

TheCatBandits on a mission today to finish off the Wandering Heroes Series. On the road at 6am as we had approx. 400km round trip ahead of us. Beautiful Autumn day only the one snake was seen ( only a foot long still scary lol ) The whole family has enjoyed the Wandering Herero's series. With time to spare before the sun went down it made sense to include The lost wanderers series. TFTC

After a few months of planning, and trial runs I finally attempted and complete my goal of doing a 24 hour SOLO cache run!!!
One Man, One Day, 441 caches found!
I booked two nights at Murray bridge and arrived at 8:00 pm. Attempted without success to sleep until 11:30 pm then got up and went to the location of the first cache. As the clock turned to midnight I began.
Speed through the Oz Mega 2014 Trail with only a handful of DNFs, then picked a few up along the highway until I got to the GeoPets trail.
After this I cut through to Wandering Heroes and completed up to the "OTS: May" trail. Went along this and came back into Tailem Bend for lunch and fuel and few in town. Was beginning to get weary but proceeded back to where I left off in the Wandering Heroes.
From here on in I just completed as many of these as I could up through Karoonda in the hot hot mid 30's day until midnight stuck a few kms east of town.
441 finds was the total count and now I just had to drive back to Murray Bridge. Easier said then done after being awake for practically 40 hours. Hit the hotel pillow at 1:20 am and was out within seconds.
Thanks for all the wonderful caches around this area, and sorry for generic logs.

I found this cache today as number 23 of 161 in company of Cold Freeze on our Karoonda Road Run III. Our first run back in 2008 was well before Wandering Heroes and yielded just 14 caches along the entire road and our caching figures were in the 2,000's back then. Our second run in 2012 brought us 160 caches where we started at Loxton and continued caching all the way past Karoonda to just before the Murray Bridge - Tailem Bend Junction. From there, we headed into Tailem Bend for Dinner and continued back from there for a few extra caches before giving up about an hour before dark. Our caching numbers were in the 5,000s at that time. Today, with caching numbers now in the 8,000s, we picked up at the point we had left off last time near the Murray Bridge - Tailem Bend Junction and headed south with the aim of finishing off all of these caches then caching our way back towards Loxton. I had not counted the caches in this section before leaving home and I thought that there were probably about 80 caches there. Once we got them all done, we found that there were just over 140 left in that area so we didn't get much past Karoonda on the way back after all. A great day though nonetheless and there looks to be at least one more full caching day to come at some stage. Thanks to all cache placers in this series today from D B-A.
We decided to add a few more caches to our day after coming back from Karoonda. We weren't sure of their names at the time, but will log them in found order.
Thanks so much for these caches Freddo, you've done a great job for all cachers who visit here. Please excuse the generic logs, but the Motel internet isn't all that good.

After visiting my brother in Murray Bridge I am now actually heading for Queensland for the Mega and picking up the rest of the Wandering Heroes series that I haven't yet done with a few others along the way.
Had a very good day with only a couple of no finds and a couple near Karoonda where muggles were everywhere for the farm day so stopped me even looking.
No problems with finding any of the caches that I did find.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

Had a fantastic day folling heroes.
Only saw one cache that had eclipse tins in it.
over 100 finds and mints on my last cache of the day.
This must be some sort of record for me.
Loved driving beside the track as I didnt like some of those roadside stops with the trucks thundering past.
A great day out and in the afternoon we headed to Loxton Hotel for the night.
Fiona O'Loughlin is performing here tonight but unfortunately it is sold out.
Tomorrow back down the road to find some more.

On a SA geocaching trip and today we are searching for some of the Wandering Heroes plus some of these along the Karoonda Road. Was a very hot day so only out till lunchtime. A quick find and on our way to the next. TFTC.
On a 10 day geocaching holiday in SA from Brisbane with my sister JooJoo57. We attempted to do as many of The Lost Wanderers and Wandering Heroes caches, however we were competing of temperatures in the 35-38 degrees range. Thank you for the caches , it was a most enjoyable day. TFTC
Out for yet another weekend of hanging out and caching with Sylken. The plan for this weekend was to take another crack at the Wandering Heroes power trail (when we made our first attempt in January 2012 we foolishly thought we might tackle the whole thing in one day!! Lol! The series was only abut 160 at that time...) When the temp is 35C, that seems rather unrealistic... It was 35C the first time we attempted this series, and 35C again today... it seems that we're starting to make a habit of hot caching expeditions. But now the powertrail has upwards of 300 in it, I think anyone would be hard pressed to bag that many in one day!
We still didn't manage to complete the trail, so we'll just have to see if we can find another 35C day to get the rest...
Thanks you to all the cache owners for their recognition of fellow cachers, and their efforts in hiding and maintaining the series. An honourable mention to CPWanderer who started this whole lark off in the first place

This was a quick find for us today. Stamped and returned as found.
We had planned a family geo trip a few weeks ago and I left it up to the geo wife to decide where she wanted to go. Murray Bridge was one of three places to visit. Lucky she decided on this area, so we could try for 200+ in a day [^] Sometimes the parking was very difficult being double white lines and plenty of passing cars, having a companion to drive / swap with made this series that little bit easier. It was a very hot day & plenty of hours were spent in the car with much water needed. We found some great containers & loved the idea of this series. Now to rest the wheels....
[blue]Thanks for this cache, Freddo & to everyone for the series TNLN[/blue]

We are currently staying in Murray Bridge for a few weeks attempting some of the many caches available in the area. Geodaughter KAROPI joined us here for a second run at the Wandering Heroes series....our first was in January 2012. The series has expanded somewhat since then so we had endless opportunities
We finished the day with 114 finds and not a single DNF. Some caches are particularly inventive and a great tribute to the teams they are honouring. It is so nice to do a big power trail and have various types of hides....I guess the benefit of having lots of different CO's
As usual with power trails we too are writing a generic log, just adding a few extra words to caches that needed extra comments. That however doesn't detract from the gratitude we feel for all the CO's that have hidden caches along this trail....thank you one and all.
Thanks again Freddo[^]

Owl needed to do some maintenance on a wandering hero, so she collected Andy Colombia and headed off for an adventure. The cache had already been maintained by someone else, so they had to fill in the time with caching. Lots of caching. This one was another quick find.
This day I'm on a Geo - adventure in the countryside with Dr. Owl, our mission: get all the happy smiles we could and discover the Wandering heroes !
We saw a classic:
"stonehenge style"
"home invasion cache" the ones in the middle of a tree hole of some possum home
"incredible camouflage" the ones with the natural wood on the top or some dry leaves
"Home sweet home" the ones who are now habitat by spiders,
Beetles, ants and some little creatures...
Well a totall adventure but the best of all I had a wonderfull day with Dr Owl !!

Have I mentioned how cold and wet it is today......Why am I doing this , I ask myself.
So we’re now on day two. The bikes a firmly stowed as they required too much effort and resulted in too many tired bottoms and legs. Today is about conquering as many of this series as is possible and to have lots of fun. Still we had a few giggles upon discovering some of the hides and containers. Again all very inspirational. Thanks to you all for theses magnificent hides.

It was time for specimenX and myself to head back to Murray Bridge to do the Signal PT and some of the Wandering Hero's. It was a 2 hour drive there and we arrived and went straight into the Signal series. We were suprised at how they were scattered and doubted a few of our answers but it seems we had them all right and we found the whole lot. We then headed off for some lunch and collected a couple of Oz Mega 2014 caches that had gone astray on our last visit.
Murray Bridge was almost a ghost town compared to the Easter weekend. We were still looking for the Kookie magnets (habbit now lol) and we were kinda missing all the geomobiles with their flags flying high. Seems Murray Bridge was back to BAU and we were once again engaging stealth mode for our activities.
Once we had eaten, we decided to try our luck and do as many Wandering Hero's as our bodies would allow. specimenX was like a bull at a gate, just kept going and going and going. We evetually called it quits at a daily total of 204 finds (our highest yet) and started the 2 hour drive home at 1am in the morning. By the time we got home, we were well and truely exhausted, showered then crashed immediately.
In the Wandering Hero's, we managed to get from the Tailum Bend turnoff all the way to Karoonda Road/Kulde Road intersection. We then headed up Karoonda Road towards Bowhill Road (heading towards Murray Bridge) to collect The Lost Wanderers.
There are still SOOOOO many Wandering Hero's we need to collect so it looks like another SA trip will be in the planning
Thanks to all the CO's who have placed caches for us to collect and also bigh shout out to those who maintain these caches. Very enjoyable exhausting day.

Off we go again! This time Rapidlywild and I decided to tackle the Wandering Heroes and Lost Wanderers caches after completing the Oz Mega Signal power trail-insane! [:O)]
Once again Rapidlywild was the driver and I was the runner [:O)] Most of the caches were nice, quick finds although several of them were a little bit elusive to us in the dark so RW joined in for the search
I enjoyed the variety of the hides along the way; several were quite creative! All up for the day we totalled 204 finds and ended with a 1am finish Absolutely geobuggered after that! lol!
Thanks to all the CO’s for placing their caches in this fantastic series!

I enjoyed the variety of the hides along the way; several were quite creative! All up for the day we totalled 204 finds and ended with a 1am finish Absolutely geobuggered after that! lol!
Thanks to all the CO’s for placing their caches in this fantastic series!
Day 4 of the Oz Mega Event, and I was heading for an overnight stay in Bordertown. The day included a few caches around Murray Bridge, the Lost Wanderers series, and some of the Wandering Heroes caches that had arisen since I last cleaned it out. And then there were some more down to Coonalpyn. Sorry for the generic logs - there were just too many to log individually. My thanks to Freddo for the cache.
Out and about on this fine day with fellow cacher friends Liz and Bruce doing a lot of the Wandering heroes caches and close by ones. Many thanks to all that hide them and for there upkeep. Sorry for the late log and copy and paste.
With the main activities of the mega out of the way but also well into the day we headed out with Goblindust, our visitor from Seattle in the USA to find as many caches as we could before dark. We found a few caches before hitting the Wandering Heroes trail. Each time we came across a name we had some history with we reflected on the wonderful time we had shared with this geocaching team. When we stop geocaching (one day) I am sure it will be the people we remember rather than the geocaches [^][^]. Nice one. Thanks to Freddo for placing this cache.
Thanks for your cache Freddo, we found on our way to the OzMega Event in Murray Bridge to be held over Easter. Yoru cache helped to break up the long drive from Perth and give us an excuse to stop and stretch our legs.
Found this cache while attending Oz Mega. Had a great time and appreciated all the effort of the organisers and the owners of placed caches. Thank Freddo
The only cachers we met while in the USA was at an event in West Virginia hosted by WV Tim (who also put us up in his house for a couple of nights).
We think cachers worldwide are just the friendliest group of people we have met.
It would be great to one day meet up with the teams immortalised in this series as well, who knows, perhaps it will happen.

Finds #1502
After attending My First MEGA event in Murray Bridge it was time to pack up the camp, say my farewells to old and new friends and hit the road (the long way home)
finally finishing the Fruit loop Track and I was back heading the right way for Victoria. Aiming for the Lost Wanderers run and some of the Wandering Heroes, but picking up a couple of roadside caches along the way.
Now that I'm down here my plan was to get 100 for the day before the big 4 hour drive home.
TFTC to all that have placed the caches along this series. (sorry for the generic log)
