#6991 Day 3 of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. A few showers at times today, but on the whole it was a very productive and interesting day. The highlight for me was the caches around Dorrigo. Quite a different feel to the coastal towns we have visited so far. We couldn't get far up "Waterfall Way" due to a landslide, but still managed to grab a lot today.
Lovely spot.
Thanks groovydoo

Arrived just as a car pulled up opposite so had to wait toll they went before looking. All good. TFTC
With Fangsoki, Crew153 and 1MinnieMoo we have hit the Dorrigo Plateau for the weekend - having arrived up the range we did a quick loop of the area - a slightly longer stop here, but no issues.
*No Donna's were harmed in the making of this log.*
Thanks groovydoo for entertaining me at this location.

25/1/20 Find #3322
A road trip long weekend with Fangsoki, PPrime and Crew153, staying in Dorrigo. This cache was found amongst the spiders webs by PPrime just as we were about to decide to abort due to time constraints with our schedule. Not really sure how we’d missed it.
Thanks for the cache groovydoo.

I was aon n Australia Day long weekend road trip with Pprime, Fangsoki and 1MinniMoo and we had targeted caches in the area which would help us to qualify for a number of challenges.
I had done a manual inspection of the site but the feel of spider webs deterred me from a thorough inspection. Pprime found it after a visual inspection.

1MinnieMoo, Crew 153, Pprime, and I were heading out of Dorrigo and this one was one our list to grab.
Crew 153 had a look for this one but somehow missed it. Thankfully Pprime found it just as we were about to call time.

Found in the company of alisontaylor on a glorious winter's day caching around Dorrigo. Logs signed bg&at to save space.
It sure is paradise here. So lush and green when so much of Australia is dry and brown.

Staying around Dorrigo for a few days, camping and geocaching.
Jumped out of the geomobile and not 10 seconds later had the cache in hand, VERY strong magnet.
Thanks for the cache

We have been staying at the free camp in Thora with our caravan and using it as a base to cache around Bellingen and Dorrigo to as far as Ebor. Fabulous countryside and we have loved the creative hides. Thankyou groovydoo for placement of this cache and sharing this special spot with us.
We stopped on our way from Dorrigo to Byron Bay.
What a wonderful road, no other tourists around us.
We took a seat and found this cache inbetween of spiderwebs at 10.10 a. m.
Interesting area.

As we were staying at Donna's farm for a few days, we were obliged to walk up the road to GZ and find this cache. It was surprisingly hard to retrieve but we did so and logged it. Thanks to groovydo for this hide, the farm really is a beautiful place, and even has at least one platypus which we watched diving and feeding for quite a long time.
Wow !!
This is a little bit of paradise
Thanks for dragging me out along this backroad [^]
And of course !! TFTC !!

This Cache was located with no trouble, an easy find, and then proceeded on toward the Grafton road.

This was as close to aFTF we came to on this trip, but it was only first on the replacement.TFTC.
Fortunately this location wasn't occupied by lots of school kids when we went through. No need to signal for assistance from passing vehicles. Tftc.
I am surprised the local children leave this alone. It certainly is apiece of paradise - I am jealous. TFTC
After dropping our caravan at Dangar Falls Camping area its off to do the circuit.
A great Saturday morning drive, so glad we decided to do I as soon as we arrived as rain has set in this afternoon. Great country views & such a variety of caches to be found.

Found at 3:34 PM GAFF1. It was good to get onto this loop once again. Didn't think we would ever be back after completing all of the caches on this loop a couple of years ago.
Gosh - so Donna thinks that a bus shelter is "paradise" - wait until she sees the east coast then
Thanks groovydoo.

This one had a bit of a story to it. I was fortunate to be staying at Whispering Pines Cottage; after a couple of days exploring the beautiful Dorrigo area and doing a few caches I returned to the cottage one afternoon and thought to myself I wonder where the nearest cache is to here. I put on my GPS unit and discovered that there was one very nearby. As it was named Donna's piece of paradise and I knew that Donna and John ran the Cottage I suddenly had the feeling that Donna might be Doo and John might be Groovy. After all anyone with a restored dinner might think up the caching name groovydoo. When I saw them next I asked them if they knew groovydoo and of course Donna did but it wasn't her. So we had a good laugh and told a few stories about geocaching. Thanks for a great tour around Dorrigo groovydoo. I will have to come back to do a few more.
Not knowing this area we decided on a shortcut which turned out to be a deadend with Paradise only a few unreachable kms away. Back on the more used road and a bit later we were in Donna's piece of Paradise. TFTC groovydoo.
YAY! an FTF!..Left home approaching light this morning in the hope of an ftf but expected to be beaten to the punch!..so pleased on arrival to find an empty log!..bitterly cold up on the mountain today!..strong winds and occasional downpours couldnt dampen the thrill of a total of three ftfs today! Thanks Groovydoo!
