Caching in Heathcote I made a quick ish detour to this site en route to work. Great spot for fishing and a good spot for a cache. Thanks for bringing me here.
In Bendigo for the weekend for a freinds 50th birthday so it gave us a chance to get and about exploring the local area to knock of some caches.
Nice easy find, thanks for taking us to this part of the lake Tftc

I can't believe it's taken me so long to get back here this season. My kayak "race" is at the end of March - I'm normally here regularly from Christmas but kayakaching has had me paddling all over other places
I paddled up the Coliban as far as I could (without portage) 7.3kms from this point. A nice overall distance of 14.5km. I think that's atleast 1km further than last season....... I'll need to check!!
Many thanks for the cache. I signed it when I first arrived & noone else was around. When I got back there were several fishermen

What a peaceful tranquil spot this is. Muggle free when we visited. Pity we didn’t bring the fixings for a bbq. Thank you for the cache and hide Tamzy, both doing well.

Back in Bendigo with Rebel Acts for a few days of caching fun, It's great to see so many new caches around town.
The weather wasn't the kindest ,sun was absolutely baking but still had a great day of caching.
Cheers for the cache.

I had been thinking about a trip to Bendigo for over a month so that I could find My centroid cache and with an event in town this weekend plans were made to do a few days caching with My good mate Omegaman1971.There are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today.

Beautiful spot. Not big enough for the trackable I brought for it but o well onto the next one tftc
Tftc. What a sensational view of the lake! Such a great spot, lots of kangaroos jumping around. Thank you for bringing us here.
We headed south from Twin Rivers enjoying the scenery and general lack of traffic, especially comparing this route with the Calder Highway. Glancing at the app, despite the rapidly reducing battery power. It was a delightful spot found while meandering along the roads near the end of the country lane. I went off to make a quick find while The Driver went further up to inspect some timber lying on the side of the road from a fallen tree which had been cut up in recent weeks. That is an added attraction for him these days.
Out for a drive this lovely Father’s Day.
Nice drive to get this cache. Good to see water there. Pity you can’t camp. Quick easy find. TFTC ️

We all guessed at what this container was used for. Views of the lake. Thanks for the cache.

great spot! We’ve been camping here for years and only just downloaded this app! Left one of our favourite family magnets as we couldn’t help but leave a little bit of us here also!!!
This is the last find around Lake Eppalock.
A good hide in a good area. Signed and replaced where found TFTC.

Cache found to be all in good order. Nice area out this way. Didn't know this part of the lake existed. Thanks for bringing me out here.
Bit of a wet day to be caching, spose it adds to the excitement. This was an easy find, sad to see the lake so low. TFTC
Beautiful little bay, even when the water is so low. I also came here regularly approx 30 years ago, no swimming today. Spotted where the cache maybe as we headed to the Carpark. Should have stopped there and retrieved it. Walking from the Carpark was a game of dodge the used toilet paper.. eeww.. TFTC.

Wow, what a great spot. Will have to return here with the fishing gear and drown a worm. A quick find, thanks for bring me down Magnet Lane.

Nice little find. Had a walk with hubby and our dogs. Met a few people who were out and about which is unusual for this area. Some nice exercise before the Grand final today Eagles vs Pies! Go Pies!

In warm sunny weather we enjoyed our final day of caching around Central Victoria for this trip. The cache hides were varied, we learnt a little more local history and visited some fascinating locations, with quirky origins such as this.
Thanks to 'Tamzy' for the hunt and cache placement

Suscoe was heading homewards today from Bendigo via some caches we wanted to visit between the Calder and the McIvor / Northern Highways as well as a stop in Melbourne to sort out a virtual that we had been interested in.
So it was an early start to proceedings and thankfully a mild morning to head off in.
We saw some wonderful countryside around the east of Bendigo, the Lake Eppalock region, Redesdale, The Mount Macedon area and down the way to Sunbury and finally the laneways and arcades of the Big Smoke.
Thanks to Tamzy for this hide, we liked this spot and had our lunch here appreciating the views across the lake, our google maps had the lake all dry here, must have been from a few years ago.

Day one away with my kayak, and heading to Lake Eppalock for a paddle. I enjoyed the drive down here and grabbed my first sight of the lake. Found the cache without any trouble. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here.
Last cache for the day. Been a successful caching day. This is a nice little
Spot. TFTC.
By the way, the "g" is silent. It's pronounced Manans Lane.

**Tom Tom took us the long way around to find this cache. After finding the cache it was much easier and quicker to come straight back out to the sealed road. Found cache in good condition. SL. Left a toy and took a toy. TFTC. Great view of the end of the lake. Thanks & Cheers.**
Thanks for taking us to a beautiful spot. Lots of people fishing there today, half their luck. TFTC
Great spot, beautiful with lots of great trees! On way to Melb from lake Boga detouring around beautiful countryside. TFTC
Found with geomum 'boots for walking' on a little geocaching adventure this afternoon. Nice area! Thank you for the cache Tamzy
A few fishermen here today but they didn't even notice me prowling about . GPS wouldn't settle - think I went round in circles for 10 minutes then bingo, I noticed a likely spot. Yes , the cache was found. Thanks Tamzy.
I think it should be Magnet Lane too. Drove through back roads to get here only to find this area attracts as there was another car in the carpark.
Nice little cache to round off my morning out here
Cheers

After finding the last of the Lake Eppalock island caches to the north, I thought I'd keep going a little further south to grab this one. This was a nice quick find at the end of a hot day in a great location - one of those places that I'd never visit had it not been for the cache hidden there. The cache and contents still in great condition. Thanks for bringing me here today Tamzy, and thanks for the cache!

Having a long weekend I decided to head off on another of my solo caching hunt trips. My main aim was to go and have a look at some of the caches in and around the Lake Eppalock area .
The day turned out to be a typical Melbourne day, all four seasons. From high humidity, to chilly winds and even a torrential down pour with a few cracks of thunder and a little lightening too boot.
From walking across lake beds to driving down rutted and dusty roads, it was one interesting day.
Seeing this cache on the map way out on it own I decided to go for a look. when I got near GZ I thought I may have been muggled away as there was a number of utes parked near by. I got out and had a look around for the all clear, all the muggles were down at the waters edge fishing. so I quickly made a v line to the hide. signed the fresh new dry log and was on my way back to the ute.

Finally had a chance to come out and check out the container that keeps getting waterlogged. Replaced with a waterproof container so this should stop any water damage!
Our last cache of the day, then back into the nice warm car for the long trip home. I don't know how the water is getting in to this cache but there was quite a lot and we poured out a fair amount of water. This cache may have succumbed to the weight on top. It needs some attention as the contents are spoiling. The log is still OK to sign at the moment. Thanks for the cache Tamzy.
I was intrigued by the resemblance to a rhino that a nearby log managed to impersonate as o.kay and I arrived to make a quick find. Tipped out lots of water from the cache before replacing the sodden contents. Signed log and returned TFTC Tamzy
Found it Cache has definately been waterlogged, didn't want to dispose of other peoples swaps though.
Easy find and awesome spot, container had filled to the brim with water but log was safe some how, container may need maintenance
Geokids loved the story behind this one! Was our last find for the afternoon and thankfully only a short distance from our camp. Cache is soaked through, however.

I have been consolidating my finds database in GSAK and have located a number of caches that I haven't logged as yet. I guess when you travel with limited net access, it is easy to miss logging a few, or maybe it's just laziness. As always I have enjoyed the hunt and the experience in finding this cache. Thanks Tamzy for taking the time to research and place this cache.
This is a lovely spot talked with fisherman about what he was catching nice hide tftc
Found by DotG while fishing in the Metcalfe pool, detoured a little but had to wait while the people fishing at GZ left. So pulled the tinny up to some trees about 100m off shore and started fishing. Score at the end of the day was Yellabelly 1, Cache 1. Cache in good order. SL TNLN TFTC.
Arrived just after sunset so had to take the drive out fairly slowly due to lots of roos. It is a great spot.
The cache was in good condition and seems to have survived the recent rain just fine. TFTC.

Having celebrated Fathers Day yesterday with the kids and grandkids it was up to me to decide what to do on the official day. Hello? A few days ago the better half had suggested an expedition to Eppalock to see it full after so many years of drought so on a delightful Spring day we headed off into the glorious sunshine.
A family of muggles were enjoying a picnic and a little fishing but I believe we were able to do the deed unnoticed.
Great coordinates, a delightful spot and a good size container. What more could we want?
Congratulations on your first cache.

Good to see someone has put a cache down this road.
We looked at it sometime ago but never got around to doing it.
Been up and down this road so many time as its the back way to our caravan.
On our way to our caravan at twin rivers for the weekend to see the lake at 104% full.
Thanks for the hide.
