Alas, this is no more - ammo tin gone, all the logs and items scattered, cord broken to close to teen muggles play area.
Very overgrown track to GZ now, chest high long grass, always a concern in 33 degrees! Cache found in good condition, dry log...... TFTC
Found with my Dad, recovered cache after we signed, it was a bit exposed.... TFTC
Parking was the only issue, decided not to drop a TB and the two tbs listed in inventory aren't in here, still a nice quick cache
Found today, had a mission to grab a TB and I got it. Caught the train to adamstown then walked to this cache. Was hard going. Walking in the long grass to get to this one. Past a homeless guy who gave me directions to the track. Found the cache straight away TFTC
Well, this one really is in the sticks! Coordinates are good. We approached from the southern arm of the clearing first, the northern arm is easier!
My wife had some shopping to do, so my son and I dropped her off then headed here. Parking felt weird off the main road. The grass to GZ was really long, but the tracks kept us out of it. The cache was spotted quickly and soon had it uncovered and open. The two geocoins were nice and we took the one that looked like cursed pirate treasure. We covered it up a little more then it was and headed back to the car. My wife sent me a picture of the TMNT at the shops, damn, missed out...
Thanks for the escape from shopping and taking us to an area we would never have thought to visit otherwise!

Found No TB in Cache. I removed the Cigarette lighter, too much long dry grass around, if kids find cache. TFTC Team-Tonka.
TFTC!! Took us quite a while to decide where to park to get to GZ. Eventually we made the right choice! We made it back to the car just as the rain started.
Nice out of the way spot to safely deposit TBs and coins. None in there though except the one I just dropped. Thanks
Great find! Of course we took the wrong trail in and found the right trail out! We also went past the laundry service and the rest of the rubbish. Had a great afternoon geocaching and finished with this one. SLTN TFTC
Sooooooooo many Mosquitos !!!!! But a good hide, finally got a travel bug !!!
Nothing like a little trail bashing in your front wheel drive sedan haha.
I'm leaving behind TB 'Monte's Dog Tag' in exchange for a large jetsons plush toy that will soon find itself in a completely different location:-)

Logged as Carly and Kate, left Trekker (hiking boot) trackable....not sure about the dvd in there...lols. tftc!
Almost missed the logical parking spot with GZ indicated further down the road and then soon realised access to the cache would be easier from the lower path to the left. Few TB transactions initiated - left Mrs Hot Tap, took Whale and signed the NZ Visitor Log.
Great little spot, wonderful view, very quiet but lots of flies.
Lived here all my life but never knew about this spot.
Good stuff in the cache, easy find, cache in good condition.
Thanks for the cache, gets a favourite!

We parked just as workmen were leaving and walked up towards GZ, where the view of Newcastle in the distance would have been spectacular without the wires overhead. I plunged into the local tip and walked to the cache, which seemed to have a truckload of timber over it without really hiding it at all. I took 2 TBs and had a TB in my pocket to leave but found it still there several caches later, so left nothing this time. Thanks for the hide, although given the nearby rubbish, the Chateau should probably be called a Shanty.
Nice little spot and a very solid cache, though this area seems to be in danger of becoming an illegal dumping ground. The chateau even has laundry service nearby... TFTC!
Found at 12:23 PM GAFF1. Enjoyed getting to this cache after finding a nice access track and caught some glimpses of the coast down below. Unfortunately I had to get past some rubbish that was all about and also as expected there were not all of those TB's in the can
Thanks Team-Tonka.
Thanks Team-Tonka.
Nice walk through the bush and lots of goodies to find! Picked up are we there yet and will move on. TFTC.
Oops! Was accidentally still logged in as xXcacheXx from the weekend caching who did a find together! Found and took Vivaldi travel bug! The REaL canadian!!!!!
I was a little embarrassed when I found it, if it had teeth it would have bitten me. Found it at night, so all the possums in the trees watched what I was doing.
Not being familiar with this area we 'waited'/slept until we knew we had to get going to go other places.
Certainly no muggles around, and well hidden that any passers-by would not find the secure TB Hotel.
Hedge Hopper and Nick Starrs Starr TBs thru
TFTC Team Tonka (Did see a few TBs, etc, but there were a few missing as well.)

0500 A short nap in the car, and then a bash in (found a better way on the way out, but isn't that always the way). But it wasn't that bad.
Went past the cache, and MVMB found it as we turned back to recheck for GZ.

Bit hard to find in the dark but we still got it collected trackeables to place on our travels
Fun and very well stocked with trackables cache.
Not a bad area and pleased to discover so many trackables.
There is at least 13 trackables in the container right now!

Been saving this one for my 366 day matrix, now 359 of 366, only 7 days to go, no TB's staying at the Chateau today, TFTC Team-Tonka!!

This was quite a fun cache to visit. I started by chaining up my bike nearby and starting my trek on foot. I followed the path, but came at the GZ from the wrong direction. Amending my mistake, I wandered down the hill, turned into the trees, and suddenly I had the cache. I took some TB's to distribute throughout, and signed and dated. 10 minutes later, I emrged from the tall grass absolutely covered in grass burrs, and I then headed off to the next cache.
Thanks for the cache Team-Tonka.

Dropped trackable on prev. visit that i hadn't "taken" from its previous location. It is also in there.
I could have parked a lot closer, I didn't! Some great views around here. Thanks.
I was terrified that I'd step on a snake the whole time I was walking to this one. Just when I thought I had talked myself through the fear, there right in front of me was a 3ft long snakeskin. Forced myself to tiptoe through the waist-high grass and then down a hill, and then, after signing the log did I find an easier way out. If there's a wrong way to find a cache, that's the way I always do it! It's always good to see a good sized cache. TNLN Thanks Team-Tonka.
We found the Château after reading the low road clue - quite helpful. Both Boy and Ray did a dance while logging this one - the anti-mosquito dance! Little blood suckers were in fine form! Found it easily enough though, thanks
(We left the manfume. It was more manstanky.)
We grabbed our first trackable - Sam the Soldier, and we'll send him on his way for more adventures. TFTC!

Found this cache on the way to mums today and decided it was a good spot to leave Sam the Soldier to continue his journey. Picked up another travel bug from here too.
It was an easy walk to gz but just getting very hot today.
Thanks to jmd2290 for the Château.

Thanks to jmd2290 for the Château.
Found quickly after leaving car at the road, left grim reaper for someone else to take. Found with WebbyHRT, tftc
Found this one with jonignite on the way to work, a short walk to the GZ and we soon spotted the Chateau towering above us in all its majestic glory, we retrieved the guest book and signed our intent to visit. There was however a distinct lack of distinguished guest during our stay at the chateau, so the derision was made to move on. TFTC
Found this one on the way to work nice big cache took Bee TB to move on
Thanks jmd2290 for the cache

Easy find. Pretty much drove to cache. Very suspicious car down the hill about 30 metres away. Great views
Out this morning to find some of grub Gred's new caches. This one was close by so thought we would grab it while in the vicinity. Thanks JMD2290.
Wow - what a great spot and cache. Found this guy late at night and was treated to a light show!

After working out the best way to access this one it was a quick stroll with a lovely view to GZ. Left 2 TBs took 2 geocoins. TFTC.
Wish I read previous log about taking the low road. Had to fight my way past some rubbish nearby but after that it was a quick find. Even found it without a GPS. Thinking about starting another sport similar to geocaching with GPS's but this one would require you to memorise cache locations from the web and then find them from memory. Nice to have a cache nearby that I can drop of larger TBs that I collect during my travels. You may need to get a larger container as the current one is getting quite full. No vacancies at this Chateau.
A short walk from the highway, and cache was soon in hand.
HINT: take the low road to the cache. You'll get less burrs in your socks!!
Left 2 x Geocoins, and took a geocoin, and a few toys. SL TFTC

2nd to find nice hide left bug 1 of mine tftc I was there 15 - 20 min after I got the post but someone beat me there again
Reperio at 1740. FTF!
Having had the day off after injuring my back yesterday, I was hesitant at first to head out and grab this one, but figured I would drive as close as I could and see what the walk was like. Luckily the way I chose was easy on the back, and once at GZ, the cache was spotted. Always love finding ammo cans.
L - TB's and GC's x 3.
Gratias jmd2290.
