I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi mjmnzThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Like numerous others I came to check this one out and went away empty handed. There is something which I suspect it would have been attached to, but no container is present.
It's been more than 7 months with no action, this merits Reviewer Attention rather than Owner Attention now.
Can not locate. Appears to be missing as per last cacher located what I believe to be the remnants of this cache needs attention
After a long search found what I’d been looking for all along… but it was only a broken attachment device and no container — no wonder it was hard to spot.
Cache has fallen or been taken away, there’s just a short piece of the original attachment mechanism left.
This one left us hanging. After spending ages hunting, we gave up and rode on to locate other caches along the trail. On the way back, we had one more go. Faced up to GL to find this well hidden cache. TFTC.
Searched for about 30 minutes, every where around the hint, but we were blind. Came back after picking up a few other caches and low and behold, there it was, just hanging around. Tftc
This was my first cache for today and after trying the easier spots for a hide I went to GZ. I had an idea of what a good hide would be and soon had it in hand.
T F T C mjmnz.
I was in Wanganui with a bit of time on a pleasant day so decided to go for a walk by the river and find a few caches. This area always offers great caches and there were a could of good ones today.

Up and at 'em nice and early today - out and about on our bikes. The only problem was everyone else and their dogs were out and about as well and so it took us quite a while to do this. We had to explain what we were up to so often it took us ages to get in a properly good look. No chance of any muggling here - it's never going to be found by accident! Thrilled when we finally did! Earns a fave from us. Carefully replaced as found. Cache is all good. TFTC
Took a while to spot...
Found on a weekend trip to Whanganui. More when I get home. TFTC

No pied stilts here today but they are one of my favorite birds. Nearly didn't see this altho it was there. Tftc
Nice hide.sent me on a extra adventure i didn't need to go on lol but lead to finding the cache. Tftc
This one has been a challenge! My first DNF was in 2012 and I've visited this one on my bike a couple of times since. Had a hunch how it might be hidden but no success. We were planning a trip to Whanganui today so contacted the CO yesterday for some help. Thank you mjmnz for your prompt reply and helpful suggestion, and for checking it out yourself this morning. Even so it took me some searching to locate what I was after. Very pleased to have it in hand and sign - not found since December 2020! The coordinates were spot on. A favourite added for the challenge and the happy outcome!
I had tried to find this cache previously. I thought I had the right idea but couldn't find anything of interest. I told The Wandering Dragons I would be eternally grateful if he could figure out this one. As it turned out, it was me who spotted the cache hidden just how I always thought it would be. Hmmm!
Cache # 4,915 - first of many on a big day out with brucewwnz. This one had us looking for quite a while before bwnz spotted what he had been looking for, and cache was soon in hand after that. A tough one, but happy to have a smiley face. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Day 1 (With Squirrel Nutcase) of our Whanganui road trip.
Knew this was going to be a long day today. First cache found about 8am and last one found just before midnight.
Mission today Event, A cache starting with the letter U, Several Multi's, Earth Cache, Virtual and anything else we could find.
Achieved all the above.
Thanks to Cache Owners for their placement efforts and sorry about the cut and paste but this was a huge weekend for us. SLTFTC

One of the pleasing aspects of this visit to Whanganui was that I was able to change a few DNFs into found logs. This was one of them. Still took me a wee while to find. TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... On a road trip weekend - We haven’t been on anything like this since Covid Episode One in March. A special Community Event in Whanganui got our Gap (of Fap and Gap)... On a road trip weekend - We haven’t been on anything like this since Covid Episode One in March. A special Community Event in Whanganui got our attention. So we’re off to the ‘River City’ for a bit of fun...
Day One of our adventure - We intend on caching out some big trails as we made our way to the event... We didn’t spot this one from above, so Gap climbed down and made the discovery. We were readying to leave, but the attachment was so frail, it gave out. The cache plunged into the flax below, and Gap went down to rescue it. In between passersby and making repairs, we spent more than our allotted time here. Thanks mjmnz and TFTC.

Once again I am up in Wanganui (from Wellington) for the weekend, out and about for a few more caches. Spent the beautiful afternoon strolling along the river pathway collecting caches, and this was one. Clever hide here, All safe and dry, TFTC.
I realised we’d left this one outstanding. After having a small bit of time before the school run this morning we thought we’d go and have a look. Spotted it right away. With no muggles around the log was easily signed and put back. TFTC!
Last one of 16 caches located today on a bike ride from our motel in town out to Castlecliff, mostly on a shared pathway. We’d looked for this in January of last year and recorded it then as a DNF. However it appears it may have been missing at that stage. Tried again today and still took several minutes – between passing muggles – before Mrs tbird spotted it! Good to have knocked this one off! #3271. TFTC.
Finally spotted this one. Had a pretty good idea what we were looking for but sure need good eyesight. Should have gone to Specsavers. Thanks mjmnz for the hint and cache.
Have enjoyed the walk past this cache several time but each time no joy in finding this cache. I suspect it’s still there but we just can’t see it. May have to ask to help!
We couldn't track this down on our initial search but spotted quickly on our way back to the car. Nice hide here. TFTC # 14,817
I think pied stilts are my favourite wading bird, they're so delicate and - - - yeah, I just love them. Said hi to a representative of the Whanganui iwi. TFTC .
Spending the weekend in Wanganui attending a meeting staying at Springvale park in the camper. We set off today to do some caches around town before heading for New Plymouth. Initially we thought this one might be missing but we widened the search area and eventually Mrs S spotted it.
Thanks mjmnz. Another smilie in Wanganui.

(# 5243). Off on a road trip from Wellington today to grab some caches for the Mystery At The Museum challenge. Looking down I spotted something of interest and there it was. Please note the log is full. TFTC
A bit too clever for me today. With a list of caches to try and find and only here for the day I gave it the 5 minute maximum search before moving on. Hopefully next time.
tracy.g finally spotted this for us today. lots of places it could be and was in the last place she looked. TFTC
I knew by previous logs that this one was going to be a bit tricky and as we could hunt here undisturbed we were not leaving until we found it. How hard could it be right? Well 15mins later I finally spotted it. It was my last idea I had and it paid off. Thanks for a cool hide. Log is full, not sure how it could be as the cache has just been replaced....have I found the old one maybe?.....
We located ten caches on our way home from New Plymouth to Wellington today, including three in Wanganui as we passed through, but this wasn’t one of them! This is obviously a rather difficult cache to locate, as it’s only been found four times in the past two years, including just once last year. Unfortunately we weren’t able to record the first find for 2019 despite searching for 15 minutes or so. Would be interested to know where the tricky little blighter is!
This month we are aiming to complete the 250 Finds in September Challenge and we still need about 50 caches. There is nothing immediately local for us to find now so we need to travel a bit more. Today we headed to Whanganui in hope of collecting a few. We were successful with fourteen out of the sixteen we tried for, so that was reasonably satisfying.
We enjoyed our outing on the beautiful Spring day it was today. Bason Gardens on Rapanui Road provided a perfect place for a break and our picnic lunch. It was lovely to sit in the beautiful and peaceful gardens on such a gentle Spring day.
This was our first stop in Whanganui today. We didn't take long to find the cache and we were pleased to right our DNF of a few weeks back. It's a tricky little blighter but we did come with an extra hint from the CO, and actually ended up going virtually straight to it. TFTC

Thursday was going to be a nice fine day and so we planned a trip to Wanganui, needing just 4 caches to complete our 250 June Challenge, and to make a start on the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We aimed for a modest 14 caches, but only managed to locate 10.
Things didn't go so well before we even left Palmy - Mr G's hospital appointment delayed us over an hour, when previous times we'd been in and out quickly (it would be today, of course). Then, as we approached Wanganui the forecast fine day turned into a wet one, and a lot of our caching was done in drizzle and very wet underfoot. To add to that the first two caches were fails for us!
This was the very first and, even though a CO check had it in place in February, we couldn't locate it and neither has anyone else recently. The co-ords and the hint took us to what seemed an ideal hidey hole, but it was quite empty. We broadened our search too, but still had no luck. Perhaps another CO check would be useful.

Nope not for me today.... found where a good cubbie would be but not there... then it could of been somewhere else
Found it. Number 16 ons caching weekend for Mary Hyde. Log is full. Great hide. TFTC
On a mission finding caches along walkway. Took a while to find as a few muggles around.
Was in Bulls today so decided to head over to Whanganui to find a few caches. Have been here a few times without luck, but found the cache today. Thanks for the cache
Just walking away and saw it. Was looking there before must have had my eyes closed.
Finally after three previous visits found this elusive cache. What a relief. Log is full. tft(ve)c.
Polished up my bird-spotting spectacles, and what do you know - they worked!! Had time to look at the birds and the view. Clever placement of cache. TFTC
After at least three visits we finally found it. Awesome. Tftc. Damn cold spot inbtge breeze.
Took a few minutes to find but got there in the end. Sneaky hide but very cool
Having a day trip to Wanganui with Casey2201 and Missymoomee from the Naki. Very tricky hide! Very Satisfied log book nearly full.
Pleasant walk along the river. Lovely goldie and choccie labs at house near GZ. Quick grab of cache. TFTC
This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Had a good look around but to no avail today. Will have to revisit another day.
After reading the logs on this one and seeing people struggle we were not sure whether to attempt as we are pressed for time on our road Trip. Well found in seconds and don't know how others have missed it. Nice hide tftc
Took a bit of looking but didn't elude us and we were only there for 5 mins - enjoyed this one and Its very clever!
This was really tricky, obviously I should've worn my good glasses, nearly missed it.Tftc
This one had eluded me for ages. Thought I would have another look today, and there it was, steering me in the face.
Quick pick up, all in good nick.
No one was around so that helped, jesserfly located this one before I had a chance hehehe
Cheers

Finally got round to returning to this one that eluded me last time. This time I spotted it easily. River nice a brown today after all that recent rain. No pied stilts today. Thanks MJMNZ
