Went out with merkin of loki for our catchup walkies session, we both needed somewhere easy but lengthy and with a stunning landscape to boot. Trentham didnt disappoint and this trail was the perfect friend catchup walk!! We scored a stunning day and we had fun just blowing off the cobwebs of our cache finding skills.
Found while visiting Daylesford region for a special birthday.

Another one on this trail that defeated us. As we read on it became rather clear that it would be a nice quick easy find but I guess we were wrong. Hoping it was just our bad searching skills and not a destroyed or lost cache, we would love to come back and knock this off the list
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Advice is to stay home and geocaching is just a game. Geocaching encourages non essential travel and contact transmission is an issue so it is the responsible thing to avoid caching at the moment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
A great cache find on this beautiful trail. Had a little help from the nearby horses. Also a great little swag trade cache. TFTC
On a camping trip with the boys in the area, thought we'd enjoy a walk while finding some caches. Another ticked off, TFTC. Log is now full
Going through our drafts and realised did not log! Was done before ISO. Was doing a few caches while in the area.
3/12 caches along the Domino Trail today — all successfully found despite occasional challenges and downpours. TFTC!
Pretty location.. Love Trentham. Nice day out for the boys on their bikes.. picnic in the park and GeoNanna showing the grandkids how to cache... Note to self - Don't let them bring the scooters next time... TFTC
Find 2146
This cache was also found without problem. Log signed and all back safe again.

Thanks for the find. You must be a very tall person if that was at chest height haha
Chased the geo boys down the line and straight past this cache! Dehands soon found it, and nestled in back in it hidey hole. TFTC
I needed a bit of a perk up, so very unexpectedly Sal and I went on a cache run and found around 13 (yes 13 - lucky for some, unlucky for others !) of her caches - it is always nice going on a caching run with the CO. So despite the weather being quite cool, and we could see our breath in the cold drizzle that fell, our navigation skills were exceptional - ok, ok, being in the company of the CO meant we were never looking for long and we even replaced 3 caches so win win for everyone!
Loads of other walkers and joggers enjoying the cooler weather today on the Domino Trail too, but no other cachers as far as we could tell.
Thanks feathertop for the company and for the great little series.

Found a bit of spare time today so I thought I would use it productively and find a few caches.
Headed up to the Blackwood area to add a few more smiley’s to my map.
Starting to head home so I stopped in Trentham to find a couple more.
I noticed the tracks across the road first where I parked then spotted the station but I was heading the other direction so that was for later.
The second one along this trail but was the last for me as it was time to head towards home.
Found tucked away in its resting spot and added my name to the log.
Thanks feathertop TFTC.

We were looking for a place to enjoy a walk today so decided to explore this track. We found this one on the way back to our car and were grateful to stand in the shade for a bit. Thanks for the cache.
Away for a long weekend of caching with Freddo and Four Fun.
Over 300 caches in 4 days means that the logs will be mainly generic.
The main target of our mission was to finish off the Mt Disappointment series. We achieved our target along with other caches as we headed east and then west.
My apologies for the generic logs.

Away for an extended long weekend of caching with Freddo and Team Waldron.
The main target was the Dad's Driving Series, and it was definately a fun exercise collecting the series but with that completed we focused on some other caches and making our way back to SA, very slowly [^]
This was one of the fun stops along the way
Cheers & TFTH feathertop

Ninth find in our Domino trail trek today, starting at Lyonville and ending at Trentham station. 4 adults and 8 kids. This one was found by Miss 14. Thanks for the cache.
almost the end of our trail and found by the the biggest junior geocacher, she charged in to beat the other 7 kids to the find.
This was the second last day of our biggest day of caching yet. Once again Geocahcing gets us out of the house and this time completeing a 6km bushwalk.

Easy find with frmen1. Enjoying the walk. We are used to more developed rail trails so had to make the most of this. TFTC
After circling a few times i finnally came up with the goods. Tftc and bailing back to the car. Its actually freezing up here haha
This was the second of eight caches found whilst on a Cubs' Grey Wolf hike along the Domino Trail today, in the company of SirJ-Oz, j-bean and the Grey Wolf Hike Crew.
After First Bridge we'd hurried to rejoin the rest of the Grey Wolf crew, just in time for SirJ-Oz to explain that we'd been busy finding a cache, and that another was within a few metres of where we were all currently standing. A search commenced and it was his turn to quickly make the find this time.
Signed the log, thanks for the cache, feathertop.

Find #3338. Found @ 12:22 with Civil Madman, j-bean and the Grey Wolf Hiking Crew.
We're on a Grey Wolf hike along the Domino trail, and I decided that some caches needed to be found while along the way.
A quick find as we caught up to the hikers and told them that there was a cache here. I made the find here.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache feathertop

Second cache of the day. Found on a morning walk with altmot. Didn’t take too long to find. TFTC.
Found this one with JelenaGreenleaf, after poking around for a bit. I don't recommend climbing this tree unless you want sap on your fingers. TFTC
Found with georocks101. This is a very cool looking pine tree. The cache was very well hidden and took a bit of prodding. Thanks feathertop
We wandered on to the second along this Trail and SL at 1.54pm A couple of grand old pines beside the old line. Made our way back to the geoCruiser just as the drizzle started once more. A nice introduction to the Domino series, which we will be back to complete at a later date. #4818 TFTC feathertop
Found it! It's only taken 4 years but I'm finally back on this trail collecting the few caches I didn't find last time. We are in Trentham for a long weekend of walking, relaxing, eating, drinking and caching. This was the 1st find on the trail today. The market was in full swing at the station and there were a few people walking along the trail. We walked all the way to Lyonville and enjoyed a refreshing beer. This was a quick find at about head height for me. Glad i didn't poke an eye out! It must be Autumn! Lots of todstools about! TFTC SL
Last cache for the day. Lots of muggles on this walk We'll definitely be back to complete the trail very soon and find the remaining caches x
Since I first heard about it I'd always wanted to walk this rail trail. The kids are old enough now and the weather was great so why not today!?
We had a heap of fun on this very scenic walk and the kids loved it just as long as there were plenty of snack stops along the way. Falling asleep in the back seat on the way back home helps as well.
A quick and peaceful find on the way up the trail but as we passed GZ on the way back there were a heap of cockies making a racket in the nearby trees and paddocks. Fantastic!

Have been looking at this series for a while and penciled it in to do whilst having a couple of nights away in Hepburn. Little did we know it was going to be the day after over 50mm of rain fell! TFTC
By the time we had got here, I had persuaded miss 7 that we could continue with our walk. She registered her complaints quite freely and frequently, and a raspberry lolly almost made things bearable, but at least she let us do the walk.
A very short search soon turned up the cache and the four children examined the swaps. We had a bag of things with us and liberally topped up all the caches as we went.

A quick find to round out the day with my geowife. Off to get some dinner and then home. A good afternoon to welcome in the new year.

This section of the trail is a bit hard on the bikes with the sleepers still in place. Great pine tree. TFTC
27/11/2016 2:12:00 PM - The weather forecast for today was good and suggested ideal conditions to go exploring. Today I teamed up with Square_Pegs and along the way I stopped here to find this cache and take a walk along The Domino Trail.
Thanks feathertop for the adventure.

With the sun shining we wandered along noting the old sleepers still remaining on the track. This was a nice little location and a quick find, although unfortunately the logbook was pulp and there were some insects inside the container. We cleaned out the container and I left a new log sheet in a fresh zip lock bag. I hope that is okay.
Thanks feathertop.
Thanks feathertop.
Having chosen to join the Domino Rail Trail walk scheduled by the Melbourne Bushwalking Club I had to be a little careful about going off track to seek out caches. Well, that and the fact that I hadn't pre-prepared by downloading the caches to either c:geo or my Garmin meant that I was getting fairly spotty data as the reception came and went along the trail.
This was an ideal candidate for a grab as it was literally next to the trail. Unfortunately the log book was utterly soaked which I could have remedied had I done a little reading prior to embarking on the walk and brought along a small baggie and piece of paper. Oh well, still I did find the cache even if the log couldn't take ink...

The logbook is drenched and needs to be changed perhaps with a smaller version.
Found ok but cache and log wet and soggy, couldn't sign and unfortunately had no materials to assist in keeping this cache dry tftc.

Requires maintenance as water logged. log is unable to be signed as far too wet and very mushy. Worm also resident in cache. As we hadn"t intended to cache we didn't have our cache bag with us so were not able to fix.
