Logs
Looked for a good 10 minutes with three of us, and had absolutely no luck. Moved out another 10-15m radius and still no luck. This one has defeated us.
TFTC spent a good while on this one with the tribe. 2nd one for the day coords a little S 37 23 203E 144 18 513
This was tricky. I ended up following the trail left by others. My GPS was out by 7m. TFTC TNLN
The area is looking a little worse for wear and this one took a while to locate. Usual story, I was about to give up when something looked possible...and the cache was spotted. So much undergrowth the cache host was invisible. All good though and the log was signed and it was off to the next....
Thanks again feathertop....
Thanks again feathertop....
It was a toss up today between walking or mtbing. Reluctant Geoteen declined my invitation to come along & I felt guilty leaving Geolabradog at home, so Shanks' pony it was.
I didn't intend coming here on a weekend but here I am........ on a cold, overcast Saturday.
There were people everywhere. I managed to leave the main trail unseen & did my usual GPS dance for several minutes. My notoriously bad GPS averaged 8 - 12m out all day. Many thanks

Leaving mum in the car and plodding along with thongs on ,I soon had this cache in hand. Thank you for allowing me to clear my head in this beautiful bush. The eucalyptus scent and quiet gums is a balm to my soul. Lovely walk
Was just about to surrender on this one declaring it an impossible task and ….
The second trail is overgrown so don't try it. Their is a little hard to see track from the other trail and you can get to the cache from it. The cache holder is slowly deteriorating somewhat
Took a bit of looking. We were so happy to find it because the gps was wavering and there is so much bark strewn around
Stumbling around in the dark and rain with a failing headtorch for this one again. When i get back to the geomobile i will have to grab my raincoat and fresh batteries. Luckily the find didnt take too long.
Back log, out for a day of driving to get Geokid1 learner hours up, what better way than to cache around. It was lovely to explore this area as we have always found it to beautiful. TFTC
Now this one was super hard to find. Especially after all the storms earlier in the year. So much debris around. Almost ready to give up when my other half calls out “found it”. Thank goodness
TFTC!
TFTC!
#650! We nearly walked away from this one as the GPS was all over the place. With persistence we had it logged and replaced as we found! TFTC! MR_PaNic!

This one took a little longer than usual. Lewis called out "this would have been the perfect spot". I spent a bit more time there and voila!! Thanks for the cache!
Went out with merkin of loki for our catchup walkies session, we both needed somewhere easy but lengthy and with a stunning landscape to boot. Trentham didnt disappoint and this trail was the perfect friend catchup walk!! We scored a stunning day and we had fun just blowing off the cobwebs of our cache finding skills.
After much scrounging around and nearly goving up, nyochi calls out the magic word. 'Spotto!'
The Drovers had come down from New South Wales and we decided to meet them and do a little bit of caching in the area.
We thought that we would have a look at this trail and found it a little bit easier than expected so continued on grabbing a few more as far as we could get. It's only when we came to log the caches we that we realised that there were a few more left that we had missed so we will have to return to do these.
We enjoyed the hunt and all bar one cache was found quite quickly and the log books now contain our names.
Many thanks feathertop for a fun trail and the exercise.

Met up with Team Crackers in Tylden, and picked up a few caches while in the area.
Thanks to all the CO's for a entertaining day. All caches found quickly and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, feathertop, for us and others to find.

I had a quick look around but no luck. Knowing my luck I probably stepped over it. Ow well I'll just have to have a look next time I'm in the area
We love Trentham as a holiday spot and were so glad that restrictions had been lifted so we could head out here to enjoy the second week of the school holidays exploring Trentham and it's neighbouring little towns. We arrived at our holiday rental yesterday and along with the many amazing things the house had to offer in the garage were a couple of bikes. So today joined with only 2 others from the Clan we took on the fantastic Domino Rail Trail just down the road from us on the bikes. There is probably a recommendation some where not to ride along here after rain but seems we missed that as many sections of the track were very muddy and there was no turning back now. Thanks to the helpful name this was a quick jump off the bike, off the main path and sign the cache. TFTC Feathertop
Great little find, loved searching for this one, although after the possum incident of yesterday we were a bit more reluctant to stick our hand in the holes.
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Advice is to stay home and geocaching is just a game. Geocaching encourages non essential travel and contact transmission is an issue so it is the responsible thing to avoid caching at the moment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Good news is that this cache is still in place and in perfect condition.
Look harder
Thanks feathertop for the series placement.

On a camping trip with the boys in the area, thought we'd enjoy a walk while finding some caches. Unfortunately this one was a bit tricky for us today, so we decided to continue along the trail after a bit of looking. Thanks
Couldn't quite find it today, lots of spots and under some time restraints for the trail.
Going through our drafts and realised did not log! Was done before ISO. Was doing a few caches while in the area.
5/12 caches along the Domino Trail today — all successfully found despite occasional challenges and downpours. TFTC!
There goes a pair of trousers (alright slightly holy already) but I found the cache.
Pretty location.. Love Trentham. Nice day out for the boys on their bikes.. picnic in the park and GeoNanna showing the grandkids how to cache... Note to self - Don't let them bring the scooters next time... TFTC
Couldn't find today. Way to many logs out this way and the GPS wasn't to happy eaither. Maybe another day
We're cheating on this today, choosing to drive rather than walk, but dehands, geo boys are keeping us entertained! TFTC
I needed a bit of a perk up, so very unexpectedly Sal and I went on a cache run and found around 13 (yes 13 - lucky for some, unlucky for others !) of her caches - it is always nice going on a caching run with the CO. So despite the weather being quite cool, and we could see our breath in the cold drizzle that fell, our navigation skills were exceptional - ok, ok, being in the company of the CO meant we were never looking for long and we even replaced 3 caches so win win for everyone!
Loads of other walkers and joggers enjoying the cooler weather today on the Domino Trail too, but no other cachers as far as we could tell.
Thanks feathertop for the company and for the great little series.

Continuing our walk in the light rain along the winding path, we arrived and SL at 2.14pm #6005 TFTC feathertop
We were looking for a place to enjoy a walk today so decided to explore this track. Ends up there are several tracks and this cache was found not far from some swarming bees (harmless). Thanks for the cache.
Seventh find in our Domino trail trek today, starting at Lyonville and ending at Trentham station. 4 adults and 8 kids. This one was discovered by Miss 7. Thanks for the cache.
bloody challenging but great for the number two junior geocacher to get a find on the board.
Suscoe decided to have a day out around Trentham today.
Cold as could be up here today, oh well it is around 700 metres after all.
It was mostly overcast with a steady northerly blowing all day.
However it is always nice to wander around the countryside far away from the busy traffic elsewhere in the world.
The reason for today's expedition was the completion of the Domino trail. We are please to say we were able to sort out the hides and we enjoyed the wander along the tracks of this area.
Thanks to feathertop for this hide, all good at GZ today.

DNF @ 12:47 with Civil Madman, j-bean and the Grey Wolf Hiking Crew.
We're on a Grey Wolf hike along the Domino trail, and I decided that some caches needed to be found while along the way.
We had to make a diversion off the track we were on to get to the GZ area, but when we got there we found another track. My GPSr kept bouncing around, so I couldn't get a good fix on the location. There were many features that match the cache name at GZ, but we didn't to waste too much of the allotted time searching for this one before we abandoned the search to continue the hike.
Thanks anyway feathertop

Bit of a scramble to get to this one but we got there in the end. I spotted the cache but made altmot reach in to grab it! TFTC.
After bit of a bush bash after realising we had the wrong trail we managed to find it. TFTC
Found it! Last one! On the way back to Trentham from Lyonville, we found the trail that took us to GZ. Muggles Heather and Wen had a brief look but soon gave up. I found the right log a step or two off the track next to the 'buzzing' tree. Made a TB drop and picked up the Geocoin. A great caching trail with lots of historical and environmental interests. We had a great adventure! Left Owl travel bug here on the Powerful Owl Domino trail. TFTC SL Cheers!
Once again my GPS was a little off. But that helped me spot it.
Careful a tree next to it has a bees nest.

Off the beaten track, it was quiet enough to have a little search, found it pretty easily.
Since I first heard about it I'd always wanted to walk this rail trail. The kids are old enough now and the weather was great so why not today!?
We had a heap of fun on this very scenic walk and the kids loved it just as long as there were plenty of snack stops along the way. Falling asleep in the back seat on the way back home helps as well.
As seemed to be happening a bit today I couldn't find this one on the way up the path but made an easy find on the way back. The excuse I had on the way up was that a nearby wild bee nest was riled up over something (probably robbing from other bees or wasps at this time of the year) and at least one of them was so interested in me that even though I moved several metres away it still decided that my jumper needed a good stinging. I left it for the trip on the way back when, luckily, everything was peaceful again.

Have been looking at this series for a while and penciled it in to do whilst having a couple of nights away in Hepburn. Little did we know it was going to be the day after over 50mm of rain fell! TFTC.
To be fair I didn't look a lot... the fed up person was standing a fair distance away with an expression that could in no way be mistaken for "joy" so I dashed across via a bush bash and got to within 5m but didn't see an obvious place to have a poke so I had to bush bash back and run and catch up.

A nice easy find at this location today along the trail from Trentham. A nice meandering track too.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thank you for placing this geocache here for us to find today.

GPSr went flat at the end. This was our last one due to where we parked. Used the phone ARRRGGGGH. Eventually found it and the phone said I was still 24m away. Anyway, got there in the end. TFTC.
27/11/2016 2:32:00 PM - The weather forecast for today was good and suggested ideal conditions to go exploring. Today I teamed up with Square_Pegs and along the way I stopped here to find this cache and take a walk along The Domino Trail.
Thanks feathertop for the adventure.

With a decision to be made we somehow ended up slightly on the other side. Wandering across soon enough there we were, and somehow discussing Yowees as we signed the log.
Thanks to feathertop for the cache.

Found by edmil & Maddie @ 3:50pm
We found this one quickly as there were Mozzies everywhere. This was actually the start of not the Domino trail but the mozzie trail - they were everywhere from this point on. Log signed and cache replaced. No swap made. TFTC

We had to abandon the search for this one when a group of muggles appeared from the forest. Unfortunately we have to finish the trail here today as we've run out of time. Thanks dir the hunt so far and taking us out on this lovely trail. We will return one day soon to find the rest!
This one took a little longer as the GPS was being erratic. In the end just checked everything in the vicinity that fitted the cache name and soon came up with the goods. Thanks.
Out geocaching today with GeoYogster, Jaggedwings, Cherad and Mi5sie. It was decided via facebook that the Domino trail was on the "to do" list. So at 10am we all met at the Trentham Train Station and started walking. We enjoyed doing the walk and managed to get every cache in the series. Despite a few geokids dragging their heels we managed the whole thing in about 3 hours. We saw tractors, dirt bikes, bicycles and horse riders on our wander along the trail. A lovely day had by all. Thanks for placing this series for us to find Feathertop.
Out for the day with a lovely group of fellow cachers. Enjoyed the walk of the Trentham rail trail and thought we'd pick up a few more on the way home.
Out with a great group today enjoying a fantastic Autumn day. Yogster, Jaggedwings, Cherad and Fergzter made up our group. We had a great time following the trail and accumulating smilies. It's a great trail with beautiful scenery. TFTC. TNLN.
