Looks like someone might have sabotaged this one. Found geocache reminance around the bridge but no geocache
Had a good look around but no find this time. We will have to try again sometime soon.
Went out with merkin of loki for our catchup walkies session, we both needed somewhere easy but lengthy and with a stunning landscape to boot. Trentham didnt disappoint and this trail was the perfect friend catchup walk!! We scored a stunning day and we had fun just blowing off the cobwebs of our cache finding skills.
Why are all the muggles passing us here!!?? Retrieved and signed quockly. Tftc.
The Drovers had come down from New South Wales and we decided to meet them and do a little bit of caching in the area.
We thought that we would hav a look at this trail and found it a little bit easier than expected so continued on grabb ing a few more as far as we could get. It's only when we came to log the caches we that we realised that there were a few more left that we had missed so we will have to return to do these.
We enjoyed the hunt and all bar one cache was found quite quickly and the log books now contain our names.
This one had us looking for quite awhile even though the cache was eventually found in one of the first places we looked, we just didn't look hard enough. After about ten minutes of going up, over and around we had another better look at where we had first searched but this time spotted something and not long after that we were happily adding our name to the log. Cache and log book in great condition.
Many thanks feathertop for a fun trail and the exercise.

Met up with Team Crackers in Tylden, and picked up a few caches while in the area.
Thanks to all the CO's for a entertaining day. All caches found quickly and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, feathertop, for us and others to find.

Unfortunately no luck on finding this one. With many eyes searching, we came out defeated
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Advice is to stay home and geocaching is just a game. Geocaching encourages non essential travel and contact transmission is an issue so it is the responsible thing to avoid caching at the moment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We searched for quite sometime but had no clue where the sneaky hide was concealed, we will be back.
On a camping trip with the boys in the area, thought we'd enjoy a walk while finding some caches. This was another DNF unfortunately, didn't really fancy clambering around on that old rickety bridge. Thanks
No good with this one today. Abit to boggy and swampy to go walking around on that dodgy bridge. Maybe on my 3rd visit I'll nail down this whole series.
9/12 caches along the Domino Trail today — all successfully found despite occasional challenges and downpours. TFTC!
Pretty location.. Love Trentham. Nice day out for the boys on their bikes.. picnic in the park and GeoNanna showing the grandkids how to cache... Note to self - Don't let them bring the scooters next time... TFTC
Dnf. Had no phone signal and didnt read info before getting it. I may be able to find it on the way back.
Tftc found this one on the way back after reading the clues. Back for coffee now in trentham.
With Water and muggles everywhere, a complete search was not a option, so this one was one that got away.
Find 2150
So many muggles out on the trail enjoying the sunshine. Had to wait about 5 mins for them to clear. Cache soon found , log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks

Once again, the race is on with the geo boys, who have been entertaining dehands and I all the way! TFTC
I needed a bit of a perk up, so very unexpectedly Sal and I went on a cache run and found around 13 (yes 13 - lucky for some, unlucky for others !) of her caches - it is always nice going on a caching run with the CO. So despite the weather being quite cool, and we could see our breath in the cold drizzle that fell, our navigation skills were exceptional - ok, ok, being in the company of the CO meant we were never looking for long and we even replaced 3 caches so win win for everyone!
Loads of other walkers and joggers enjoying the cooler weather today on the Domino Trail too, but no other cachers as far as we could tell.
Thanks feathertop for the company and for the great little series.

We were looking for a place to enjoy a walk today so decided to explore this track. As the day wore on and the tree cover reduced in places, it was getting very out here. After a bit of a search we were happy to sign the log. Thanks for the cache.
A morning walk/bike ride with the Sistema crew had us returning here to try and get the last 5 caches on the trail. I'd done the first half over 3 years ago and was back to turn two DNFs into smilies! I did manage that but also collected another DNF on my travels! It was a lovely morning to head out. I can't believe how busy the trail was - people everywhere (although not on the loop). We had lots of fun then headed into town for lunch at the bakery when we had finished. Thanks so much for these caches along a great little part of history.
Third find in our Domino trail trek today, starting at Lyonville and ending at Trentham station. 4 adults and 8 kids. This one was discovered by old man R. Thanks for the cache.
Suscoe decided to have a day out around Trentham today.
Cold as could be up here today, oh well it is around 700 metres after all.
It was mostly overcast with a steady northerly blowing all day.
However it is always nice to wander around the countryside far away from the busy traffic elsewhere in the world.
The reason for today's expedition was the completion of the Domino trail. We are please to say we were able to sort out the hides and we enjoyed the wander along the tracks of this area.
Thanks to feathertop for this cache so snuggley tucked in to its hiding spot.
Took a little while to spot.

This was the fifth of eight caches found whilst on a Cubs' Grey Wolf hike along the Domino Trail today, in the company of SirJ-Oz, j-bean and the Grey Wolf Hike Crew.
Along with a couple of the Cubs we commenced searching at this trail landmark. I was fortunate to be in the right place and facing the right direction to spot something that looked promising, and the hunch turned out to be correct.
Signed the log, took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for another Domino cache, feathertop.

Find #3341. Found @ 13:20 with Civil Madman, j-bean and the Grey Wolf Hiking Crew.
We're on a Grey Wolf hike along the Domino trail, and I decided that some caches needed to be found while along the way.
Civil Madman made the find here when he spotted something a bit out of place.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache feathertop

It s defintely there. As the CO states... it's on the old bridge... no need to go under.
Found it! Well again I looked in all the wrong places and eventually spotted something out of place just as a few Muggles arrived at GZ. Had to be a bit stealthy as they walked past. I signed the log book and replaced it without them noticing. Muggle Heather decided it was lunch time. We walked on to the next cache and took advantage of the seat above the tunnel and enjoyed the view as we ate lunch. As we continued our walk, I wondered why caches had not been placed all the way to Lyonville. After a detour around a bridge that was completely fallen down, we soon arrived at Lyonville. The Radio Springs Hotel was full for lunch and only standing room at the bar. What an amazing place! I gathered refreshments from the busy bartender and we sat outside on the blue chairs to enjoy our cool drinks. This would be a great place for a cache! There were at least a couple of places to hide a cache but there was such fickle reception I figured that may be why the cache trail did not continue all the way to Lyonville. Anyway TFTC SL Love this trail!
Since I first heard about it I'd always wanted to walk this rail trail. The kids are old enough now and the weather was great so why not today!?
We had a heap of fun on this very scenic walk and the kids loved it just as long as there were plenty of snack stops along the way. Falling asleep in the back seat on the way back home helps as well.
Unable to find this cache on the way up the trail we decided to try again on the way back and it was the youngest who made the find while the other three were still floundering. He was happy and so were we.

Have been looking at this series for a while and penciled it in to do whilst having a couple of nights away in Hepburn. Little did we know it was going to be the day after over 50mm of rain fell!
Wow. That old bridge is destroyed. TFTC

The children enjoyed being "daring" and walking over the old bridge. We also tested the new one just for fun. The cache was swiftly unearthed and signed. Nice little spot for it! Miss seven had decided she was sulking a bit and asked if we could drive the rest of the way, and why did we have to walk so much anyway? My opinion is we don't walk often enough, but I'd probably find room for a hike 6-7 days a week, to be fair.
Found by Team Ninja 02/01/17, find number 950.
I was in the area with the family today and we decided to walk from Lyonville to Trentham along the Domino Trail. We had previously walked parts of the trail before it was extended from the Loop to Lyonville, but hadn't done the full trail in one go. We enjoyed the walk and being a railfan I particularly enjoyed the old bridges.
I had a previous DNF on this cache from nearly a year ago so I was keen to turn this one into a smiley. It's interesting what a different vantage point can do, we approached from Lyonville this time and GeoDad spied the cache almost instantly. Nice hiding spot!
It was great to see a bit of water in the creek from the recent rain.
TFTC feathertop!

An interesting way to bypass the bridge. I wonder if they use the previuous bridge for fire access, how do they get past this one?
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thank you for placing this geocache here for us to find today.

27/11/2016 3:14:00 PM - The weather forecast for today was good and suggested ideal conditions to go exploring. Today I teamed up with Square_Pegs and along the way I stopped here to find this cache and take a walk along The Domino Trail.
Thanks feathertop for the adventure.

We criss crossed around and then wandered back to the other end to discover this neatly concealed hide. The landscape of the trees was noticeably different as we made our way along.
Thanks Feathertop.
Thanks Feathertop.
A relatively quick find which was a good thing as the bushwalking group I was with was beginning to wonder where I kept disappearing too
Went out for a bike ride to check again two caches I didn't find last time. Found easily this time - not sure how I missed it. A very wet day so glad I didn't have to look for long
Been meaning to get these last 4 for ages.... today was a perfect day for caching
This one had us looking for a little while. We enjoyed seeing the old bridge. Thanks feathertop for the cache.
I like what they have done here making it easily accessible without removing the old [and probably unsound] structure. Should have taken more notice of my notes here though as spent too long searching the wrong obstacle before making the find. Thanks.
Out for the day with a lovely group of fellow cachers. Enjoyed the walk of the Trentham rail trail and thought we'd pick up a few more on the way home.
Out with a great group today enjoying a fantastic Autumn day. Yogster, Jaggedwings, Cherad and Fergzter made up our group. We had a great time following the trail and accumulating smilies. It's a great trail with beautiful scenery. TFTC. TNLN.
Out geocaching today with GeoYogster, Jaggedwings, Cherad and Mi5sie. It was decided via facebook that the Domino trail was on the "to do" list. So at 10am we all met at the Trentham Train Station and started walking. We enjoyed doing the walk and managed to get every cache in the series. Despite a few geokids dragging their heels we managed the whole thing in about 3 hours. We saw tractors, dirt bikes, bicycles and horse riders on our wander along the trail. A lovely day had by all. Thanks for placing this series for us to find Feathertop.
Found with Yogster, Jaggedwings, Mi5sie and Fergzter as we set out to enjoy the day, and this amazing trail, the youngest member of our team along with all the other geokids loved investigating everything. We didn't know this area was here, and it is such a beautiful area. Thanks Feathertop.
TFTC. Out to do the Domino Trail today with McStormy. It's a pity this old bridge has fallen into such a state, one would think that with the money spent on the diversion you could have easily made a restoration. Thank you for yet another piece of history here Feathertop. Eight down.
Out for a bush walk today with GeoYogster and decided to nock of your series. TFTC Feathertop.
Out and about today in Trentham with Ausfox and Bentley in the scenic Trentham Blakcwood area. A beautiful sunny Saturday to be out bush.
Managed to pretty much drive this whole series, with roads running alongside the trail. Thanks for putting this together, found them all and really enjoyed this old rail trail.

Spent the day with with Jacko83 and Bently exploring Blackwood and Trentham main rds and tracks.
A great series with adventure as we made our way along the trails. looked high and low for the cache and with the muggles approaching again we halted our search. Said hello then looked again, this timemkaking the find. Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache feathertop

In the area today with ST37E and Wozzle 68 with the aim to complete the whole of the Domino Trail. Well this one took much longer than it should have!!! We searched high and low in and out over and under and we were just about to call time on this one when I put my hand in one last place and there it was thanks for placing.
This one proved a little hard to find and we found ourselves all over and under the bridge no matter what the hint said. The Glanvillegirls eventually came up with the find. Thanks for another good hide.
After a DNF at the previous bridge we continued a short distance along the trail to give this one a crack. We were pressed for time by this point and with plenty of hiding spots we had a quick look to no avail. Will have to return to this one when we have the time to look properly.
The poor old bridge is looking much worse for wear than when we walked the trail a decade ago! It's quite dicey to walk on now.
Thanks anyway feathertop.

Found other caches on this trail easily so was disappointed not to find this one. It must be a much trickier hide as there weren't many possibilities that fitted the clue
With and RDO today, I wasn't going to waste it. Even though the forecast was only for 12 degrees, it wasn't going to deter me. Should I walk, or should I ride ?? The bike won out, so It was time to don the helmet and set off. The first part of the track was very bumpy, with sleepers galore !! The rest of the track was fine. I had a blast today, between the showers and the sunshine. Luckily I had no DNF's, but a couple were very close !! There was a good variety in the hides and the scenery was ever changing. Thanks for showing me a part of the world I hadn't visited before. TFTC feathertop
Travelling around Australia and we are currently staying in Woodend.
Today Mr Felix decided he would like to walk the Domino series out of Trentham so Mrs Felix dropped him out of town and he ambled along collecting smilies and enjoying the forest on a 'dry' cool Winters day. Just perfect.
Mrs Felix headed into town and collected the local caches before we joined up to head home.

I had some spare time today so I thought I would get the treadly out and do this series. Well it turned into a bit of a disaster for me, partly through lack of planning for what I thought would be a straightforward rail trail ride and partly due to the lack of trail markers here when veering off the main rail trail. I was lost and heading towards Lyonville at one stage and pushing the bike through the bush at others. [B)]
Oh what a tricky little hide. The hint helped but it was a comment in a previous log that tipped the balance and allowed me to locate it in its very cosy hiding spot. Thanks for the series feathertop.

Another DNF No luck on this cache. Bridges were not my friend today. I hadn't planned on coming this far anyway so was exhausted. Also no reception on phone to see other logs bar the last few on GPS. Alas it wasn't to be. this was where I turned back for the car defeated. Lol.
We're on a bakery binge with Tezzon today around the local townships. Wasp nest close to cache so Beware. Cache all good.
No joy for me here, It had got to the stage where I was keeping an eye on the clock, and I didn't really have enough time to do it justice. A great walk none the less. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Thanks anyway.
Just prior to me reaching this culvert, a management vehicle passed me and stopped just short of GZ. Unfortunately for me one fellow remained in the vehicle looking straight at where I was surreptitiously searching. There is a limit to how much you can study a structure like that before raising suspicions, so sadly decided to return to the start at this point as my hip,was running out of pain killer effectiveness. Loved the series so far so,awarding a fav point Hope to complete the last few next time I'm here
The Mainebird clan finally got around to doing this series after wanting to do so since we starting geocaching. This one was found by HannaMainebird once again with her keen eye for Sistema. Another great old bridge along the trail. TFTC. On to the next!
Found by The Empire @ 1:25pm
After lunch, I jumped on the 29er for some bush riding and cache finding. Thanks for the cache, and the series feathertop.

Read the notes, that's what everyone else wrote! Unfortunately for me I misread the notes and spent 30 minutes under the bridge, doh! Then another re-read and bingo got the message and corrected the error of my ways this is such a good trail to do, although had to complete in two halls after getting bogged last month...TNLN TFTC feathertop.
Find No. 672. Found with FUF009 at 3.38pm
Footy in Trentham for the day and while Mr Tyred n Cranky was at the footy, after lunch Mrs Tyred n Cranky caught up with FUF009 and spent the afternoon caching.
First up The Domino Trail - FUF009 had his pushbike but I was walking it. If only I had put my bike in we would have been a lot quicker but we had all afternoon to do this.
The walk between caches was really enjoyable, six down, three to go before turning around - not many now to the end.
Now which sleeper is it. FUF009 was able to locate this before me.
Took blue marble - Left pink matchstick eraser.

Mr Tyred n Cranky had football duties today down this way, so I decided to load up my push bike to hit the Domino trail and a few others around the area.
First on the hit list was to head south and to attempt to climb the mountain and boy what a mountain. I ended up walking some of the way to the top and in the end it was all worth it.
Both the view and the sight of the tower were well worth the effort.
Now with Mrs Tyred n Cranky on the rest of the trail. while I road the bike she walked. I think, with all the water and mud around on the trail she had the better deal.
Along the trail we had 2 GSPr's and even with these the tree cover was playing silly buggers and putting us in 2 location for some caches while others we were both spot on.
The trail was a pleasure to ride along (a lot better than my earlier ride up the "hill" today)
