Found while staying here for the weekend with friends. Three of us bush bashed around the dunes for 10 minutes, and glad to say we finally found it, along with an animal bone. A bit of feedback - It was difficult to access from the main path, and the log was damaged and could be replaced. Otherwise, a good cache. Dropped TB. TFTC

Danke frs Verstecken <3

Found the log on its own, not inside a container. It was wet, sandy and we were not able to sign. Pic of log for proof we were at the location

08-Oct-23
After a little hunting through the dunes with AutumnBees and geokids found the log book just on the ground wet and completely unusable. Recent rains must have separated it from its container.

The last weekend of daylight savings - Time to head away for the weekend to the Latrobe Valley for some exploring, camping and caching with RoamingHowie.

Lovely little campground - except for the craters in the middle of the track.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, 2max

Checking out the local campsite and went for a wander to pick this cache up.

We came in for the geocache now we’re staying two nights before moving on to meet a friend in Bairnsdale.
The cache is a bit damp and the log is black mould (see photo), was very reluctant to return it to the box. But not my geocache.
This is great camp area although it’s school holiday only a few here.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Suscoe headed down Giffard Road this morning.
We finished the series and continued on southbound for a few more kilometres.
It had been a delightful trip.
We enjoyed the opportunity to see this part of Gippsland.

Thanks to 2max for this hide, great to visit somewhere we have never been before.

Sad to comment about but we saw a few plastics bags with blue bait in them as we worked our way towards the cache. Why can't people take care of our planet.

We left a dry log sheet here as the log book is black with mould. Needs some TLC!!!!!!

Down for another weekend and with the rain on hold for a bit we decided to head out and grab this one which we didn't get to last time. After a short walk the cache was soon located and signed. Unfortunately the log book is moldy and needs replacing but I didn't have one with me to do so. Tftc

Continuing on my journey to Seaspray from last night. Today it's a beautiful day, warm and clear. Today I like Victoria.
Very disappointed not to find this even though according to cache photos I had gz correct. I couldn't find any hollows big enough for a regular. Was amazed how many campers were present.

Maintenance required as lid to cache is non existent. New cache container required.

Geo hubby went looking for this one while geo wife was logging on the ones found earlier in the day. We were camped nearby and he scrambled his way through the scrub to make the find. The container lid is broken so it is no longer waterproof. He managed to find a space in the log book to sign and then put everything back and rehid by using more camo. Thank you to 2max for a nice beach cache find.

I had a surprise day off work today and thought what better way to spend it than caching?!
I thought these beachside caches might be a bit difficult due to the holidays and man was I right, people everywhere! This is obviously a well known camping spot, I had a hard time just finding somewhere to leave the geomobile. Once my park was sorted I headed up the almost vertical sand dune to try and find some hidden treasure. I located GZ and had a small freak out session when I saw three dead baby huntsman bodies....that's the stuff nightamares are made of! Well mine anyway. I decided to get out of there quicksmart, so swiftly located the cache, signed and got outta there. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this cache, it's not an area I imagine I ever would have visited otherwise Smile

Nice little spot. Unfortunately I think a muggle may have found it. Cache was open and contents spread around. We put it all back together and tried to rehide it. TFTC

Looked around, but offcourse on wrongsite. Found it on the not obvious place. Being in swimming gear I have nothing on me but phone. No pencil in box. Going back later with my own writing gear. Perhaps I find spare and put it in.

12-Sep-15
Looked everywhere around rope swing and in hollow I think kids have found it as I found just one army guy on ground and pack of glow sticks

After heading to the beach we tracked back and found this cache hidden away from the world. Well almost all the world.
Alone on the front of the hiding location was a lonely toy soldier, obviously left by a little child who had also found this place. Very peaceful with the sound of the ocean and the birds behind you.

A friend of mine spends most of the summer at Reeves beach and has been asking me for the last couple of years to come down from Melbourne and spend some time camping and fishing.

Of course the first thing I looked at after confirming plans to make the trip was to have a look to see if I could hunt for a couple of caches while we were camping.

After setting up I asked Darcy what she wanted to do, she runs into the tent and comes out with the Garmin Smile Having only loaded in this cache I was suprized to find it less than 100 meters from where we had set up camp. So off we went down the track to a small opening that looked familar as I had looked at the pics from the logs. A short time later we had made the find and were signing the log book.

Over the next couple of days we introduced 5 more people into the world of Geo caching on Darcy's insistance, and they all were bugging there parents to download the app on their phones.

Thanks for the great cache. I can't belive it has taken me so long to take up the offer to come to this lovely part of the world. A first visit here but not the last.

After having spent the night at the nearby camping area, we went for a stroll in the morning. Some dune bashing had us at GZ, and then the search started. After having looked in all possible places, we looked again, but deeper, in one of them.
Took TB.

13-Jan-13
We took the motorhome down the correct road towards GZ without problems. Parked in the 'freedom camping' caravan park which was quite crowded due to peak holiday period. Took the short scramble to GZ and started our search. After about 15 with no joy the batteries gave out on the GPSr. We knew we were in the right spot so had one last effort at a closer inspection - Ah !!!!! there it is. Many thanks 2max for the hunt.

Greynomads - Bill and Diana TFTC Took 2 TB's and left a magnetic cow. SL

Nautilus returns for a 2nd to Find - Yay - No trouble navigating to the right track today, ha ha, the GPS on the other hand didn't want to play nice here, and wouldn't get me closer than 14m, so resorted to the clue, found a likely GZ, no cache, what the... must be muggled - na, just needed hands to see what the eyes couldn't, 74 found it in the first and last place she looked, the geo-teen wasn't much help today I think she was too interested in running off into the waves, LOL - We loved this spot and it has been noted as a future camping haunt for the Nautilus team... after finding the cache we spent some time paddling, taking photo's and checking out shells - was a few muggles around at the camp spot but they were in different spots around the place so we were left alone - 74 took her favourite eight-ball the eight-ball, lol - 97 grabbed the hand-crafted bracelet, Left a big bear & ice-cream eraser + some army men, also left x2 travel bugs... Thanks for the cache '2max' another good one ! Great Camo !

Oh dear!! Nautilus, which track did you attempt to take!?!?? Uh-oh.. I feel terrible for the bogging! The correct road in is clearly marked and looks absolutely nothing like the track in your photo's. Reeves Beach Rd is a well formed 2wd gravel road which gets a wee bit sandy down closer to the beach/reserve but usually doesn't cause any problems getting through. When you get to the reserve, park and walk to the cache - it should be smooth sailing. I'm really scratching my head trying to work out where you went!

29-Aug-12
WARNING - dirt track/road not suitable for sedans and only attempted the 3star terrain on advice it was OK if taken slowly, lol, forgot to mention the sticky black mud that coats tyres and renders them bogged, LOL - got 300 metres into the track and got bogged, tried some bush mechanics to no avail. crap now what to do ? walk back and find someone, the caravan park was all deserted, panic starts to set in, then 97 spots a car and house next to the park, I knock on the door covered in mud an blood (cut my hand on sticks) and feeling like a goose, the house owner was so kind and lucky for us had just what was needed to make a great escape.. so many thanks to 'Brian' for saving two damsels in distress, we are gunna come back, park in the car park and do the 3km walk up the beach and see how that goes...
What a 'beach adventure' today was !!

Area was deserted today so an easy FTF was had. Love the camo. Took FTF prize (thankyou), and left a very well travelled TB to continue its journey. Thanks 2max for another great hide.
